This a small frill free bar with some good food. It took some time to order, but the service after that is good. There was live music. We tried chilli mutton fried and mutton kabiraji. Food was quite good. They have a small get together zone.

A good place to visit on a Tuesday and get drunk. The place had a good vibe. Service was pretty prompt and proper. The only issue was that most of the drinks (beer and cocktails) were out of stock. I really wanted to try the cocktail called Aye-Aye Captain but had to settle fot LIIT.

captains_deck is the place where you can enjoy amazing drinks along with delicious food. Ambience is really great. The wooden decoration and dim yellow light will give you a deck vibe. From food section every dish looks so colourful and well decorated. Double fried mushroom was crunchy and filled with generous amount of mushroom. Megh malai kebab is simply malai kebab hide in the foam. But is is great with green chutney. Mutton Gilafi seekh kabab was full of flavours. Hara bhara kebab is moist and awesome. Chicken strogonoff had nice smile and taste is even better. It had nice oregano's aroma and creamy taste. Chicken ala Kiev looks very pretty. It will reminded you a giant bird comes with sauteed veggies and apple cuts. Crunchy and flavourful chicken goes very well with the mash potatoes. Veg au gratin is also good. Baked fish is super yuumy. It is cheesy creamy. Creamy fish is amazing with the toast. Service is super fast. Few days back I visited this place,this place is located at Southern Avenue Now coming to the Ambience they have a good and cozy Ambience perfect to share some quality time with your friends We tried chicken Alakiev, Chicken steak, Deck's Special Chicken , in drinks I loved the cosmopolitan and cuddles on the beach. So, This place ... even if it is a new one, has a great scope at being great!!! And it is to be duly noted that this restaurant is themed based on the DECK OF A Ship!!! Starting from absolutely awestruck decors to awesome food... this place is a sure shot great one in the making. Service was pretty good. A newly opens cafe at southern avenue. A classy and well decor place to enjoy food with friends. Starters and main course are reply very good .. you should also try their desserts. ***Captain's Deck*** This Ship Deck themed cafe is one of the the hidden gem in Southern Avenue. This cafe is located in Meghnad Shah Sarani in the streets of Southern Avenue. Precisely 5-10 minutes walking distance from Golpark. This cafe has a beautiful ambiance and the interior is superbly decorated. The main attraction of this cafe is the Ship Deck themed interior. The owner of this place is very friendly and welcoming. The staffs are good too and their service is brilliant. Now coming to the food we ordered. Few of them are highlighted below. In frame: Cuddle on The Beach - This was a Mocktail that was served to us. The drink was amazing and it was refreshing too. Megh Malai Murgh - This was the starter that we had. The pieces of chicken were were very well marinated and brilliantly prepared. It was served with salad and Pudina Chutney. The item was delicious. Naan - The naan was made really well. It was very soft and tasty. Pahari Murgh - What an amazing dish it was. The dish was very well cooked and tasted delicious. It went really nice with the naan that was served. Located at Southern Avenue, just a few steps ahead of What's up Cafe. This is spacious Cafe with a ship deck theme.The food here is really great. The quality and quantity is just amazing. The North Indian Cuisine here is a must try. •Deck's Special Chicken (Strongly Recommended) This was really great. Dev, the guy owning the place is very friendly and has sailing experience, hence the name is derived from his wanderlust... Had the chance of seeing a live performance by a group of old buddies... Utterly fraudulent - on not just one but two occasions. The first time I had five beers, only to later discover we had been given the "old" menu (the oldest trick in the book) and that prices had recently been increased. Not only had we been given the wrong prices, we were later told that there was a happy hour, but somehow that hadn't been applied to my beers, most of which had been ordered and consumed well within the specified hour (I had arrived at 5:30 pm). I spoke to the owner and specifically told him they shouldn't be giving old menus with old prices, which he acknowledged. I returned to the bar the next day to give them a second chance. Once again, I was given the old menu (which shows this must be done on purpose) and once again, the waiter didn't mention the happy hour, which I had to ask about. Because I was observant this time, I wasn't overcharged for the drinks; but I was overcharged by over 100 rupees for the pizza. When I pointed this out, they refunded me the money due in dirty 10 rupee bills and coins... Disgusting service. To be avoided.

Being located on the main road in Southern Avenue, the place has a pleasant visibility. The decor of the place is simple and comfortable with sofas and relaxing chairs. On their Deck Hours menu you can get drinks in a reasonable price. Their staff behaviour is professional and praise worthy. <br/><br/>This time we went their only for drinks but the soothing enjoyable ambiance and their vast menu is quite inviting for another visit soon.

This bar located near what's app cafe.. little bit confused to find out entrance gate bt still a great experience. We ordered captain's deck special pizza, 1 hookah (kiwi spring water flavoured) and 2 pegs (30ml serving) <br/>The pizza was little bombs of cheese, tasty goodness. When our pizzas arrived, our expectations continued to be exceeded.<br/>The crust was crisp, flavorful, and chewy. The toppings worked together beautifully. The pizza was packed with flavour, and the cheese had a great consistency and very little oil. Bt the pizza size too small expect to price range...we got 10 inches pizza in other restaurants to the same price..need to improve pizza size....comes to hookah quality hookah is to lite teste... The ambience is quite good all over experience was great...

Captain’s Deck Bar and Grill is a themed restaurant based on the Deck of a Ship. Located near Golpark, this is a gem of a place. The restaurant has a beautiful, soothing ambience. A great place to hang out and chill with friends.<br/><br/>We basically went their for drinks during their happy hours offer. The drinks menu has a lot of options and the price is also very reasonable.<br/><br/>Would surely visit this place again to try out their food menu.

Food was very good. Ambience could have been better. Live music shows /Band performance happens. The setup i think needs to be revamped and updated to make the place more happening.

This is a very interesting first Deck themed Bar and Restaurant in Kolkata which serves amazing food and drinks alltogether. The food of this place is amazing and so are the drinks. Have visited this place multiple times!<br/><br/>They have a separate room for those who wanna have Hookah!<br/><br/>Apart from that, beer is slightly costly compared to other options in liquor! They have Happy Hours going on most of the times! However, you won't get a beer in the Happy Hours menu!<br/><br/>Last time I visited, ordered Fish Finger coupled with beer!<br/><br/>This place offers Zomato Gold as well.. This bar has newly opened there branch at Southern Avenue...,,and this is the most cheapest and pocket friendly bar I have ever seen..!!!! I visited over here for so many times..,,and also have there various flavoured of hookahs and beer too..!!! And also ordered some foods over there...!!! Ambience is very good along with the courteous Staffs and there well behaviour make the place being a good customer experiences...!!! Price of alcohol is very cheap and the hookahs also...!!! We started off with LIIT, or otherwise known as Long Island Iced Tea. One of the most popular alcoholic mixed drink, is slightly a misnomer. Inspite of having the phrase ‘Tea’ mentioned against its name, this particular drink is devoid of any of the same. The splash of cola within this drink, gives the same hue and look, just like its namesake.<br/><br/>This version of LIIT comprised of Vodka, Tequila, Gin, Rum, Triple sec (a variety of Curacao liqueur, mostly colourless and sweet), Lemon Juice, topped with some Coke. Often known to be boozy, due to the higher quantity of alcohol served in this drink, the LIIT presented here had a perfect mix of all the major liquors creating a mesmerizing effect within the tastebuds. The next drink to come was a variation of LIIT, with Red Wine gracing the top layer of the drink. A classic cocktail and an ardent wine lover’s version of Long Island Iced Tea, the aesthetic Cola here gets replaced by a splash of the intoxicating red wine.<br/><br/>The triple sec made from the dried orange peels and the lemon juice imparted the sweet, sour and tang flavour, while the red wine added the fruitiness to the drink. A delightful and welcome shift from the regular flavours of a traditional Long Island Iced Tea. Next to come was Mariner’s Margarita, with a wonderful concoction of Tequila, Lemon Juice, Triple Sec. with a layer of salt rim on the edge of the margarita glass. The salt helped to balance the concentration of the tequila with the triple sec and the lemon juice once again infusing the citrus touch to the drink. Sex with the Captain, was a sheer delight to the tastebuds, with various ingredients coming together to create wonders.<br/><br/>The sweetness and fresh aroma of the peach syrup complementing the hard taste of the vodka. The orange Juice as well as the cranberry juice, added on to the flavours, with the lemon juice giving the final touch to this sweet and tangy cocktail. The last drink of the day, Passion Fruit Lemonade, comprised of Passion Fruit Juice, and a diligent mix of lemon juice and sugar syrup and finally topped with Lemon Lime Soda. With a fizzy and sweet texture, this was a welcome change, when it came to savouring refreshing and relaxing mocktails, after an array of sipping some fine cocktails, made with Vodka, Tequila and other spirits.<br/><br/>Pairing these lovely drinks required a sumptuous intake of food. We chose to treat ourselves with a couple of starters and main course dishes from their regular menu, all of which tasted delicious and divine. The classic Chicken Ala Kiev, had that lovely stuffing of soft and succulent chicken with a mess of butter and garlic decorating the inside of the meat. The bread crumbs, wrapping the outer shell of the chicken was crisp and fried to perfection. The Ala Kiev had that subtle hint of garlic, and had that quintessential aroma of fresh butter intoxicating the senses. The Ala Kiev was shaped like a duck, with the creamy mashed potato designed as the head to create an artistic touch.<br/><br/>The Deck’s Special Chicken clearly stood out as the winner, with the lovely soy and honey glaze creating that decadent, silky and smooth texture and penetrating the chicken and the batter to give that fine glaze and taste to the meat. The chicken portions were decked with some sesame seeds on the top, and was put up on a small stick with a cucumber along with it. The citric tinge from the cucumber balanced the acidity of the soy, and the honey giving the sweet and a slight orangish glaze to this dish. The other starter, we had for the day, had lovely strips of Mutton, batter wrapped and tossed lightly to retain a relatively dry texture, without any excessive sauce over the same.<br/><br/>The Mutton was soft and succulent, and seemed to be cooked with pepper, red chillies and bell peppers, and was garnished with sliced spring onions to bring in some fresh aroma to this dish. Both of these starters were a perfect accompaniment to the drinks we consumed, almost acting like amuse-bouche to these drinks, bringing in ripples of flavour and a welcome change, mostly balancing out the concentration of the cocktails. The last dish of the day, Chicken Steak with Stroganoff Rice, had a lovely and juice portion of a combined chicken breast and leg, coated lightly in a batter, and cooked with brown pepper and soya sauce.<br/><br/>The steak was cooked to perfection, with no unnecessary spices to spoil the flavour of the chicken. Served with herbed stroganoff rice, the sautéed zucchini and corn complemented the sides to balance the sauce. I had ordered a Pan Fried Chilly Fish, Chicken Lollipop and Spicy Guava. The Chicken Lollipop was terrible. The chicken was not cooked properly. Even the Pan fried chilly fish had no flavor and extreme spicy. Extremely disappointed with the food. Also, service was worst.

Went there last night as I heard of some positive reviews.. This place is located beside whatsup cafe.. The ambience was good.. We went in a group of four friends..Firstly ordered chefs deck special chicken which was a slight on the sweeter side but good... The beer which we were looking for were finished.. So took tuborg green.. The next item on the list was tandoori murgh which was delicious.. Now.. One thing I would like to add is that the service was pretty slow and in the main course we couldn't had anything but veg chow and chilly chicken since they were closing... Some of the staffs were messing it up by coming and asking for plate when the food wasn't finished..I think the service part is a bit of a concern.. Though it was at night time but cummon it's puja time and they had only one or two beer options and and in main course they couldn't provide anything but a combo just cuz the shop was meant to be closed by 12 and it took nearly 40 mins for the starters to come by.

Loved the place as me and my friend feel cozy over there. Maddy is one of the best staff over there. He is so responsive, alerted, sweet and quick. Other are also very good. You should play good music like punjabi / party tracks not sad English songs. Except selection of choice everything was good.

I saw a review just a month back and the price was 30% lesser than what I saw today. It did look audacious that this restaurant would do something like this when it is trying to build repute but here it was. When people come with Zomato Gold or Dineout offer they just use a different menu with different prices. The rest easy as customers are never going to think that they could get cheated like this.. This is a nice hangout place, opposite to RMK footpath in Golpark. The interiors are good and the ambience is attractive too. They have a separate Hookah Bar within the restaurant.<br/>Now, let's come to the food. I had their Special Captain Deck Pizza and fish n chips. The fish n chips was nice in taste and quality. And the pizza was really good. This special pizza comes with eggs on the topping, chicken, veggies and lots of cheese. Great place for hanging out with friends. I visited the place last night, cozy ambience, fine dining space, smoking zone, fully stocked bar and private hookah bar too. You can get both strong and mild hookah flavours on water base. They charge you extra 40bucks for a new coal. Coming to the food, we tried the Crispy chilli babycorns for 150bucks, and honestly it was so good that we ordered a another one. Another eye-catching thing is the staff behavior, they are super friendly.<br/>If you have low budget of around 700-800bucks, you are good to go for this place with almost 6 of your friends splitting the bill.

To start with, we ordered Barbeque Chicken Wings which were quite good in taste. In the main course, we had Chicken Augratin and Spaghetti Carbonara where the latter was supposed to be the restaurant's must-try dish. But much to our disappointment, it was nothing extraordinary but plain spaghetti cooked in white sauce. Augratin was full of veggies with very less chicken which also could not satisfy our taste buds. It would be nice if the restaurant works on the taste of their main course items.

Yesterday I visited here. This is a well decorated and easy to locate place . Apart from nice ambience this restaurant have separeted hookah room and a nice bar .<br/>I have ordered here Mutton Steak in Black Pepper Sauce and Chicken steak .<br/>Generally steaks price are 250/- onwards but there steaks are costly enough. Chicken steak was 345/- and mutton steak was 429/-, but with respect to taste the rice was flavourful , chicken piece was not good in taste and chef's sauce was not so good. Mutton steak was better with respect to chicken.<br/>As I have got a massive offer through 'Dineout' app so my all total bill was 462/- .<br/><br/>

They had not used much cornflour, so the soup was light. They hadn't put as much corn in as I'd expected. Both these dishes are great deals given the costs of the items.<br/><br/>For main course, we ordered one Murgh Dum Biriyani. The amount is more than enough for one person. It comes with a boiled egg, two pieces of chicken, and an aloo. While the dish wasn't bad, it had its flaws. The chicken pieces were fatty and did not have much meat on them. The aloo was undercooked in the middle. The rice was cooked with spices but the spices wre unevenly distributed.<br/><br/>The service here is a bit on the slower side. But the place ranks high in the value for money for their dishes. The decor is warm and the staff is extremely polite. The ambience is lovely. It's not too noisy and they play decent tracks at a medium volume in the background. I unlocked one Zomato Gold here and got the Lollipop for free. Definitely visiting this place again.

Also went for some booze which is a bit on the costlier side.<br/>Reference: a 30ml Old Monk Reserve costs 99/-, a pint of beer costs 249/-. The ambience is pretty good and peaceful with The Local Train playing at the background. It's not too lit up, not underlit as well, is not noisy like most bars and definitely serves the best Momos for a mere 110/- bucks ONLY.<br/><br/>Staff is great too!<br/><br/>Totally recommend this place. It's a nice place and the restaurant location is quite well.. Really liked the food and the staff members was polite and helpful.We had ordered Fish and chips,bbq chicken, chicken stoganoff, Hyderabad murgh biriyani and cocktail (sex with the captain)

We visited this place on Sunday evening. The place is well decorated & the sitting arrangements are awesome. They also have separate Hukka Bar which is a very good option.<br/>Coming to the food. We ordered Deck's Special Chicken & Crispy Chilli Babycorn in starters. Deck's Special is really special. The lettuce & cucumber slice pinned with the chicken, tastes really superb. Babycorn was crispy enough though taken after 10mins after serving.<br/>We ordered Chicken Stroganoff in main course. The mixed taste of chicken, cheese and herbs was fabulous. Also it is served with fried rice. Quantity & Quality wise good. Plating & Decoration was also catchy.<br/>We also tried Bee's Knees in cocktail which was great in taste.<br/>The service is timely and good. The serving people are well groomed and well mannered.<br/>We will really recommend this place in every aspects.

Southern Avenue now has a new place to drop in. The quality of food is good and the ambience is a cherry on the cake. Though we ordered only a few items but the taste was good.A pocket-friendly place and one can surely count on it.

Last month I met with a very close friend of mine after a long period of time. We had plans for having Lunch together and were searching for a nice place to eat from the Zomato app where we could get the benefits of Zomato Gold. And we came across this Bar and Restaurant which looked quite intriguing considering the fact it was mentioned '500 for two people' and also had a pretty decent 4.1 rating. So we went to this place and the owner of this place had a friendly chat with us and then we ordered two Continental dishes, the Chicken Stroganoff and the Chicken Ala Kiev. Both of these dishes cost 350 each but we had to pay for only one of them due to Zomato Gold 1+1 on food. The Chicken Stroganoff arrived first and it was really very tasty indeed. The white sauce with the Chicken was just perfect and the Chicken was also tender. The rice quantity could have been a little bit more but overall satisfactory. Then came the Chicken Ala Kiev. First of all we were not expecting such a visually stunning food. Hats off to the person who did that. It was looking so beautiful that we were feeling guilty to eat it! The outer layer was crisp and it also tasted really great but it was a little hard to cut into pieces with the fork due to the crisp skin. After that we ordered the Crispy Chilli Baby Corn and when it arrived, I was seriously not expecting that much quantity. The 155 price of this dish seemed to be worth every penny. It was also really good in taste as expected from a 4.1 rated restaurant. The overall experience of food was really great and the bill amount was also around 620, thanks to Zomato Gold for making one of the two Continetal dishes complimentary (don't remember the exact amount). Had a great time and will surely visit this place again.

The ambience is a little shady but the service was absolutely lovely and definitely made up for the surroundings. They don’t have the widest range when it comes to the menu but the spicy cheese balls were a nice nibble :)

The place is good. Environment of the bar also good. Service is ok. But food is very bad. All food is sweet even CCBC the common food in Kolkata but they make soft baby corn and toss with tomato ketchup not hot garlic sauce. We love here only fish finger.

Visited this restaurant after 11 pm after completion of our college fest at najrul manch.. ambiance is quite average and food was below average...so many variations of food was not available then when we visited that restaurant.. service was also not up to the point...not very much satisfied with the restaurant...food was good enough though as we were literally craving for something tasty..we took tandoori rotis and chicken varta...varta was good...<br/>Food: 3.5/5<br/>Ambiance:3/5<br/>Service: 2.5/5<br/>Thank you

I didn't find anything good about these place. Today, I went there with 3 of my friends and a really very poor experience. The food was not at all good in taste. It was too salty and bland. Talking about the service, it was more slower then actually being slow. Our food arrived after approximately 1 hour, that too after shouting at them. Same goes with the bill. The staffs over there just disappears when you ask them for anything. At the end, when our bill finally arrived, no one was seen to bring the card swiping machine. We decided to leave without paying as because no one seemed to be interested to attend anyone at our floor (they were busy attending the people inside with hookah). While we were leaving they came down apologizing and went in telling they will bring the swiping machine in 2 mins and seriously, they disappeared again till the owner or the manager, whoever she was went in and asked them to attend us. Seriously, is this ths kind of service you provide to your customers? I'm never going to go back again to that place. It's an awfully experience over there.

I have a very bad experience here. Just to serve a Chinese combo meal it took them 2hrs. Even with no such heavy crowd it took them soo long and when we ask for it the reply is just 2 mins. And after such long wait the food we were served was like waste..we had to pay for food which was tasteless....will never ever recommend it to anyone..

Located at southern avenue,<br/>Captain's deck is a great place to hang out.<br/>The atmosphere of this place is great especially during the dark .<br/>The sishas here are great,<br/>food is lip smacking delicious,<br/>staffs are very friendly,<br/>The only negative thing is the price factor which I felt a little costly,<br/>Otherwise, I highly recommend this place to all the foodies in the town.<br/>This place has also started serving alcohol which I felt a little overpriced,<br/>but they have a variety of combos and happy hour offers to cope up with the high price factor.<br/>

good food good atmospher...steamed momo wd swt crom soup was very delicious..The live music performance was so charming....my all over experience in a rainy day was so good.....

We visited this place yesterday and this was my second time .The staff was courteous and was responsive .We ordered Mutton Biriyani and I have to say it tastes different than other biriyani's I had . They served the Biriyani with Onion Salad and Raita.

This place has been bookmarked by many days finally we visited this outlet today and had a great experience over there. Ambience is totally outstanding and service is also ok. Coming to their food, the prices are too cheap and taste is awesome. We have ordered Spaghetti Carbonara which is white sauce based, Deck’s Special Chicken (recommended) and Chicken Clear soup. All the items were too good and I would like to visit again.

This place has a pretty good ambience. I'm giving 5stars for their food that we ordered. We ordered Fish n Chips and Grilled Chicken with Chili Basil Sauce. The fish that they used was fresh and it was perfectly crispy. And I loved their chicken as well.

I haven't had such great food in a lounge like this.<br/>A very big thumbs up for the amazing staff hospitality.<br/>Coming to food, had augratin, murgh megh, caramel custard.<br/>The kebab was just on point, had a smoky flavour, but not dry. The egg foam isn't required. But, they big chunks and great to taste.<br/>The au gratin, was tad bit bland and runny, hence, I wanted to give 4.5 but zomato doesn't have that option any more.<br/>I would have wanted it to be baked more.<br/>The caramel custard, a very simple dish, but if not made good can be a disaster.<br/>And, bang on! Over here, the custard was just on right, not eggy or not too sweet.<br/>Also, their decor is pretty simple and chilled.<br/>Right next to the main road of southern avenue.<br/>Who wouldn't want to be there while the rain drizzles?

I went there with my buddiesa around 10 pm at night..We asked for the food menu and they said only butter nun, tandoori ruti and chicken kadhai were availabled nothing else..<br/><br/>We ordered butter nun and chicken and we asked more butter nun.. They refused us to give and said the kitchen has already closed..<br/><br/>Thid kinda behaviour from a restaurant was quite unexpected.. They need to improve their hospitality,food taste, behaviour and services..

Went for the first time on Holi.. Nice and courteous staff.. very nice food. Had grilled fish and baked fish. Both very nice and filling. LOVED.. Highly recommended..
