One of best nostalgic place I have ever seen... It's located near jadavpur area... 5 to 10 minutes walking from jadavpur railway station.. Indian coffee House also known as ' adda doyar jaiga ' and I think Indian coffee house all bangali weakness.. expensive restaurants and cafes can beat Indian coffee house embodiment actually I can't explain by words...
Located jadavpur 8B bus stand, food at cheaper rate is available here, we have ordered chicken kabiraji, and cold coffee , food was very testy , nice place to hang out with friends

Great place to spend some time with your friends. The food quality is good and I love the place ☺️
My favourite dishes are in frame. I love visiting the place. Would love to visit again. But as its remains quite crowded it's hard to get a place in the evening.
I rate this cafe with 5stars not only because of the food but the ambience it creates is really a feel good factor that gives you a Calcuttan touch.

4 stars just for the history and ambience of the place. Absolutely love the age old uniforms of the staff. But highly overpriced. But again, one of the oldest places to chill in Kolkata. So really not gonna complain much!
Just beside my university and in today’s world the cheapest place to have coffee and good food,where you can get a roof😊. I am fan of the chicken soup they serve there and definitely recommend it to try.
It's almost my second home. I love to be there and I spend my every weekend over there.

On 6th September 2017 Around 3:45pm Me & My Friend Arnab De Decided To Go & Visit This Place Indian Coffee House, Jadavpur For The 1st Time. Located Very Near To The Blue Lagoon, Jadavpur. We Tried Their Hot Coffee Chicken Sandwich & Boiled Egg. It Was Very Tasty & Delicious. We Had Great Time Together. And At Last We Left That Place Around 4:15pm. If you are looking for a hole in the wall, this probably is the oldest one. It is an experience to be in such a historic place where so many thinkers once sat. The crowd is mostly old since youngsters probably prefer shiny new cafes. The food is not ground breaking but it is good and consistent and tastes like nostalgia. We had cold coffee and chicken kobiraji.
The cold coffee is a must try along with fish fingers and fish cutlet... It is quite reasonably priced too. The entire meal was around ₹200 and quite enough as an evening snack for 2 people.
As you are entering 8B, look towards your right towards the jadavpur market and you'll see if on the first floor a little bit into the lane.
It's good.. service seems to be like the old historic coffeehouse..but not exactly . It needs to be a little clean and representative. What I didn't like is the smoking part.. it should not be inside the cafe. Otherwise on top of the market and easy to find and reach... So many other options on the same floor..
They have retained their traditions yet..

*Fish kabiraji (90/-) teast good, fish stuffing also good.
*egg sandwich (50/-)(not good in teast, didn't provide any sauce in it.. only boiled egg, black paper, and bread)😔

It's a very popular meeting place for youngsters and common people. The food and service is moderately good. Need cleaning and sound absorption panels in walls.
Indian coffee house branch in Jadavpur is what I like the most. Nice neat and clean with airy atmosphere. No smoking is allowed here. Though one can go outside to the balcony for smoking.
Staff behaviour is descent and helpful. I like the food here mostly the cutlet. Coffee is also good here. Best ambience to have an adda and chillout with close buddies.
Bengali's nostalgia. One of the favorite place of most of the Bengali's. Best place for time pass with your friends family and loved ones.
But food quality is not so good but yes if you want to hangout and want some 'chay adda' place then this is the best place ever.
Actually this is a place of nostalgia for Bengalis, lot of famous persona like - great singer Manna De and many more used to be regular visitor of this place. Situated at heart of college street and college square area. A must visit place for young college going pupils and for book hoppers...feel the north calcutta vive, old building structure with lot of history in it...
The ideal place to spend some leisure time with your friends,family or dear ones.every item that I have tasted so far is really good.. Chicken cutlet surely deserves a special mention. Other items like fish fry, chicken omlette,mutton chowmein all are superb.
Age Old Large Cafeteria ,probably the biggest one in the world. There are 2 sections Ground and Balcony ..The items are slight on the higher side in the balcony and Waiters do force u for tips in Balcony..
First time we had Coffee which was good as per my friend..I had Mutton Kabiraji which was not so good according to me ..
On the second go we had Chicken Hakka Chowmein which was liked by both of us ..Cost came around Rs.85 + Rs.10 Serving Charge or Tips whatever u can say ..
