Review Kouzina Mining Co - Kolkata (Calcutta)

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kouzina Mining Co., and I must say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The restaurant's unique cold mine theme immediately caught my attention, and I was excited to see how it would be incorporated into the overall dining experience.It's a family restaurant and they don't serve alcohol. Quality : The quality of the dishes served at Kouzina Mining Co. was simply outstanding. Despite ordering quite a number of items, everything was served promptly, and almost each dish exceeded my expectations. Quantity : Compared to the price, the quantity for certain appetizers is a bit less but it won't feel bad because of their delicious taste. My opinion would be to get the suggestions from them and order. Do try out their Chef's special dishes. Location : It's at the Saltlake AD block bus stand, very easy to locate. You need to park outside and there is no special place to park specific for the restaurant. Note : I would suggest you book the table through dineout or zomato dining. You would get some discounts if you pay via dineout or zomato. We received 20% discount, paid through zomato. The restaurant added 7% service charges and we asked them to remove it, we separately paid them tips. We ordered : Appetizer/soup : Murgh Malai Tikka, Thai red chilli prawn, Chicken hot and sour soup, Main course : Chicken steak, Chicken Alfredo pasta, Chicken Pad Thai noodles, Mixed chilli garlic noodles, Paprika and garlic marinated grilled fish. Dessert : Warm nutty brownie, tiramisu milkshake, classic cheese cake. Mocktail : Shark Bite, Jamaican Mojito, Barman's Pitcher, Floral Affaire, Mango shake. Recommended: Murgh Malai Tikka, Thai red chilli prawn, Pad thai noodles, chilli garlic noodles, Jamaican mojito, Warm nutty brownie, Shark bite. We did not like : Tiramisu Milkshake and Classic cheese cake. In conclusion, the combination of the cold mine theme, exceptional service, and mouthwatering food make Kouzina Mining Co. a truly remarkable dining destination. Whether you're looking for a unique dining experience or simply want to indulge in a variety of delectable cuisines, this is the place to be. Kouzina Mining Co. has definitely become my go-to restaurant for an unforgettable culinary journey.

I have always loved the food from Kouzina all outlets with a different and unique atmosphere. I would always recommend Kouzina for fine dining. The dim light inside mining co. gives a soothing experience of perfect family dinner.

A Good Kouzina Restaurant with the Theme of Caves and Mining The Ambiance is very Calm and Cozy and the Service is also very Good I loved the Fish n' Chips here and also the Shakes. The Handkerchiefs of this Restaurant are very soft and fun to use as well. Overall a Good Restaurant.

Been a favorite for some time now. Best part it serves basket of fries, which means kids are sorted - French fries, smiley, wedges etc. Brilliant choices of cuisine indian, oriental, western. My all time favourites- Burmese khoy sui and tandoori broccoli. Enough choices for all types of pallette across ages. Deserts choices are yum too.

Nice ambience and food is good too. I liked the chicken steak.. and kasoori chicken kebab.

With an amazing service, the restaurant specialises in its North Indian Cuisine. With a dim lighting and props suggesting a mine landscape, the place is child friendly as the customers are allowed to use the props for photography. In terms of value for money, the pricing suits the atmosphere and fooding. Overall, a good dining experience.

Inside lighting needs to be slightly bright. Pest controls should be done, as i find cockroach in my table. Otherwise food quality is good and service is top notch.

Amazing food! We ordered Indian as well as oriental. And each and every food item was amazing. They even aced the dessert. The ambience was great. My sister (10 yr old) loved it. My parents loved it. The food is not very affordable. But it's worth the price

Awesome food. Good ambience. Try their cheese burst mushroom, cheese fondue. The chicken olivetti is a bit risky for those who are not fond of spices, the flavour of snouf and the black pepper was lovely for me, but then may not be acceptable for a few. Prawn tempura was like prawn tempura.

Good experience. Ordered a dish of fish and mutton. Quality was good. It is themed on a coal mine.

This is a very good and hygienic reastaurant in sector 1 salt lake. We have ordered both veg and non veg items and they were awesome. Maharani and maharaja platter was good for starters. Mint lemonade and blu lagoon was awesome. Chicken stick was also mouth watering. Service was good. Lunch in dim light with the mining experience will give you another flavour. Price is bit high but considering the place and taste it is worth. Note that they will charge you extra for service charge which can be removed if you ask to do so.

A different environments with delicious foods & highly satisfying hospitality make your day perfect . Entire decoration is based on the view and atmosphere of a coal mine ... The dim lights and superbb cutlery sets give your dining a extra ordinary views . Now come to hospitality ... It's highly satisfying... Vey well maintained dining .. highly recommended... qualities and quantity of the foods are just perfect...and undoubtedly pocket friendly.... Entire atmosphere gives an extra ordinary experience... But there's no particular place for parking.

The experience was really nice. It is a mining themed restaurant, so the lighting was dimmed. Which made the ambience cozy. The food is a little high is price but it tasted really good and the portion size is also enough.

Tried this place for first time . Ambience isn’t different and nice and you would like ... Food is just ok and nothing great . Service is average and if that would have been great I would have given 4 star ... They are so mechanical without smile and also u have to wait and call for something. With such service they charging 5% service charge is like skimming. A great food would have compelled to visit again but that’s a damper so once a visit to check the place is ok and good ..

Worst resturant. Dont ever visit this place. Staff are rude and top of it they charge service tax when most of the resturants are away with it. They will argue that the service charge is legitimate and you have to pay

Because of it's extreme popularity, we went in with high expectations, however, it doesn't live up to the hype as much I thought it would. <br/><br/>The decor is nice, with the walls adorning mining quotes, pictures and bits and pieces of history but it doesn't live up to the expectations set by it's twin brother Fly Kouzina. <br/><br/>Although temperature was not checked upon entry, the tables were well seperated and the place was almost empty on arrival. So, safety was not a concern.<br/><br/>The staff is well behaved and professional. However, half their menu is not being served because of the pandemic. Of the things that are present, the service is decent. <br/><br/>The food is good. Was I expecting better, yes. But it was good enough. <br/><br/>Overall a nice chill place to go in once a while.

We ordered 3 items. The entire food spilled inside the packet. Horrible dish kaala patthar. Chicken was very very stiff. Salad was not fresh at all. The only dish I liked is Akbari Mahi Tikka. Chicken Cheese Risotto was so so. Horrible

I ordered chicken bharta and chicken biryani it was not upto the mark at all,there was no salt in chicken bharta and the biryani was overcooked i orderd cheesecake also that was also awful.....

The place, although serving good food, has really incompetent services. The staff behaviour was really rude, as if they were doing us a favour for letting us enter. They dismissed us multiple times because they had to wait for taking an order. Half of the items were not available. It was a drastic experience and we wanted to leave that place as soon as possible. The management should look into this.<br/>

Great taste, cost a little on the higher side, great ambience

We went to dinner with our family at KOUZINA MINING CO.Restaurant yesterday. I can't explain the service there. They are checking every person through very difficult process and entering the restaurant. And they are doing these processes through extreme safety. And maintaining social distance. The biggest thing is that we are getting the menu card that they are giving through whatsapp. I went to two more restaurants in this covid19 situation where I did not feel safe like kouzina mining restaurant.✌

I recently ordered food from this place and was amazed by the packaging and taste of the items. They delivered on time and each item was delivered hot. Yesterday I visited this amazing mining themed dine in restaurant post lockdown. I would like to start with the hygiene measures which were followed since the entry. The staff were masked and wore gloves at all point of time. Also they’re sanitising their hands after every time they cleared the dishes or table. <br/>** brownie point for the staff for being humble and polite. <br/><br/>Let’s come to the favourite part of the visit that’s food. KOUZINA group is a big name in city of joy when it comes to fine dining or themed based restaurant. As per my knowledge they have total three themed restaurant in town as of now. First they come up with Airplane themed based restaurant which is called fly kouzina , Then they opened up their another outlet for vegetarian peeps with a submarine themed called kouzina marine. So, both the outlet is served only veg food but here comes with good news for hardcore non vegetarians that now KOUZINA MINING is here, the first mining themed restaurant in Kolkata and most probably the first one coal mining themed place in india as well and they served absolutely delicious non veg delicacy which you surely loved to dig in!<br/><br/>This is enough talk about the kouzina group and now comes to my visit – as soon as you enter this place you got a smile on your face. The dim light ambiance with a coal mining themed, actually makes you feel that you are at a mining site. We quickly guided by their staff and grab our table. The staffs were really helpful and courteous as they helped us a lot to choose the best food items according to our taste.<br/><br/>So, we had –<br/><br/>IN STARTERS –<br/><br/> Gandharaj Mahi Tikka (Rs. 428/-) – This is basically fish tikka prepared with a twist. This usually Made with lamb or goat meat and marinated with traditional Indian spices along with the main ingredient Kashmiri Chili’s. <br/><br/> Tandoori Roti (Rs. 58/-) – for accompanied the Rogan josh , we order few tandoori roti. The combination was great. The bread was really soft.<br/><br/>IN DESERT – <br/><br/> Classic Cheese Cake (Rs. 268/-) – Cheese cakes are trending now a days. So, why not to try. It was lovely and almost perfect but it was a bit dry I feel. I definitely had better cheesecake before.<br/><br/>I must say that this place a perfect one for fine dining with family, I enjoyed my visit for sure. One thing is that I feel this place is a bit overpriced but I cannot deny their food quality and service they offer which is absolutely satisfying. If they come up with some offers or a better competitive rates then this place surely attracts more traffic.<br/>

One of my fav place for lunch near CC1. They have amazing variety each and every dish is lipsmacking. Courteous staff and they have good knowledge about the dishes. I really like the ambience with the ultimate minning expirience. Good place for family outing as well as to have a hearty meal with group of friends.

Ordered Chicken Stroganoff and Chicken Lasagna. The food was okayish, but the service wasn't. We had to sit for more than half an hour for the food to be served. Also the place was completely empty with no other customers!

'Kouzina Mining Co' is located at Salt Lake Sector 1 just opposite Canal side of Lake Town.I'd visited here last year durga puja time with my family for dinner.Ambience was totally unique,its looks like a coal mine.We ordered here 'Virgin Mojito', 'Virgin Sex on the Beach' & 'Mint Lemonade' as a mocktail.Then we ordered here 'Afghani Murgh Tikka'& 'Bhatti Ke Murgh' as a starter,both starters were delicious.Then we had tasted here'Dum Gosht Biryani','Hare Masaley Ka Bhuna Murgh' with 'Plain Naan'.Biryani was good but other items were average.Atlast we ordered here 'Warm Nutty Brownie' as a dessert.It was mouthwatering.Service was quick.

Writing this review right upon getting home after dining in Kouzina! We had an incredible dining experience! The ambience is great, peaceful and cozy, very clean. Staff is top notch attentive, service was impeccable. The food is to die for! We had cream chicken soup (finger licking😋😋😋), assorted bruschetta, salmon main - all so delicious!<br/>Will definitely be coming back when in Kolkata and recommend to all!<br/>Thank you, Kouzina for a wonderful memorable night out🙏

The best kebabs i had in my life is from this multi cuisine restaurant. Akbari mahi kebabs were a 10/10 dish. Must visit place. Slightly on the pricey side but total value for the dishes they serve you with calm & peaceful environment. And very polite staff.<br/>#foodzaph

A must visit to this mining themed restaurant. Absolutely loved the ambience and the service of the staff. Coming to the food, we ordered for Murgh Nizami Kebab, Butter Naan, Paneer Lababdar which was too good in taste. The price is bit on the higher side but that is quite satisfactory once you get fab food in your dinner table. Will look forward to visit again.

When a restaurant has such good ratings and reviews, you certainly wanna try it out.. Plus, it's a mining themed restaurant, which is one of a kind.. Sadly, my experience with this place turned out to be absolutely awful..<br/>For starters, we ordered garlic butter prawn cremoula and crusted chicken stuffed with cheese.. The garlic butter prawn lacked any kind of butter in it and the flavor was overpowered by coriander paste. Where is the butter? Where is the garlic? The chicken was even worse, with such a thick coating you couldn't even chew. The chicken itself wasn't seasoned at all and was leather like.<br/>For drinks, we had ordered Virgin pina colada, kacha meetha aam (order this at your own risk, I couldn't even go beyond two sips it was that bad)<br/>For main course, we played it safe with cheese naan, peas pulao, dal makhni and laal Maas.. The naan was soft and tasty. The dal makhni was good too. Laal Maas could have been better.<br/><br/>The service is a tad too slow and the staff seemed a bit rude.. At the price range that they have set, the food quality will leave you with nothing but disappointment.<br/><br/>Overall, not a good experience at all. Not worth giving it another shot.

Kouzina Mining Restrauant, basically coal mines themed Non vegetarian Restaurant, which gives us the perfect ambiance to spend few hours of peace, fun and Exotic within the Mining set-up. We tried .... starters chicken bombs, Murgh kabab, crunchy fried stuffed chicken ....all dishes are lipsmacking. Main courses. ..was awesome. All desserts were heavenly.... specially cheesecake. Mocktails are tasty n refreshing. Overall excellent place to visit with your friends n family. Recommended 👍

'Kouzina Mining' is a mining themed restaurant located in Sector 1, Salt Lake. This is the only Kouzina property that serves non-vegetarian food.<br/><br/>The ambience is amazing here and it has the capability to accommodate a lot of people.<br/><br/>We tried :-<br/>🔴Crunchy Fried Stuffed Chicken (5/5)- Fried chicken stuffed with cheese is what the dish is. It was delicious.<br/><br/>🔴Butter chicken bombs(5/5)- Butter chicken dipped in batter, given a round shaped and fried us what the dish is<br/><br/>🔴Beetroot Rose Virgin Mule (5/5)-This drink was refreshing and delicious.<br/><br/>🔴Murgh Nargisi Kofta(5/5)- This was one delicious kofta. This place is situated in salt Lake. It's a theme based restaurant. It's theme is mining, and the restaurant did complete justice to the theme. This place is a bit expensive but the money is worth it. All the food tasted amazing. My favourite one was the spaghetti and au gratin. The staffs were also courteous. Visit this place for sure and you won't be disappointed.

First of all, I must mention the amazing ambiance of this place and i received a wonderful hospitality. Staffs were really very courteous. I went there with my sister and she really enjoyed this place. We ordered garlic butter prawn charmoula, grilled breast of chicken in cream cheese sauce and classic cheese cake as starter, main course and dessert respectively. Every item was delicious. The classic cheese cake is the best cheese cake i've ever had.

I have visited this restaurant a few times with family. The ambience relates to a mine (hence a bit dark).<br/><br/>Highly recommend: Biryani, Tandoori items, Chef’s special chicken items.<br/><br/>Request to the Restaurant (even though it will not impact my rating): plz make sure there are no mosquitoes in the restaurant.<br/><br/>Plz read through the Kouzina mine history (you will find it there). Overall - highly recommended for visits with family.

Went there with my parents to give them my job treat. Went there at happy hours, at that time Oriental, italian and continental dishes were only available. So ordered Kung pao chicken, hot garlic noodles, crispy chilli babycorn and fresh lime soda. Though prices are at a higher side but both taste and quantity was fantastic. The most attractive thing about this restaurant is the ambience, the interior is beautifully decorated like that of a coal mine, with dim lights, mining helmets, shovel, mining boots etc. Added to these, there was also some mining sound in the background, which made the environment more interesting. The staffs were too much cooperative, attentive, helpful and polite. We reached there 20mins before happy hours. They politely waited that time and then took the order. They even gave us helmets to wear so that we can take some good snaps. Loved everything about the place. Wanna visit again soon😊.

We had gone for lunch to kouzina mining. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. Decor is apt with their theme. However the ambience is too dark to my preference (we could hardly read the menu card printed on a dark background in such a dim light setting).<br/>We ordered three mocktails blue lagoon, virgin sex on the beach and jamaican drink.All of them were well made.<br/>For starters we ordered chilli fish (spicy and really yummy), kabab platter(2galauti kabab, 2gandgaraj fish tikka, chicken resmi and chicken tikka) and prawn chermola ( very unique flavours). We loved all the appetizers. For main course all three of us tried Kolkata grilled bhekti with mashed potato and veggies. The fish was cooked to perfection and the flavours were spot on. We are too full to try any dessert. I wished they had a few more continental dishes(most of them are pasta based, I wish they had some variety there excluding pasta) <br/>We had booked through dineout so we got a 11% discount. The final pocket pinch for 3 people were close to 3850 seemed okay considering the quantity and the quality of the food. We really enjoyed all the food items served so we will be back.

We went for dining on 1st January. It was crowded and we could get in after one hour waiting. We had great expectations about the decor and theme based restaurant. But we were disappointed. The wooden table and lightings brought some mine feel to it, it that’s all. There were no yellow helmets with lights as we had read in some reviews (May be due to the rush). The seating arrangement was really cramped and somewhat uncomfortable. The food though was excellent and followed our order note as we requested the items to be spicy. We tasted the following:<br/>1. Chicken hot and sour soup - excellent <br/>2. Assorted kebab platter - very good (almost excellent)<br/>3. Prawn in Chilly and Pepper - very good<br/>4. Burnt garlic mixed noodles - excellent <br/>5. Dry chilly chicken - excellent<br/>6. Garlic Naan - was very stiff by the time we had it<br/>7. Indian mutton main course - very bad quality of mutton, preparation was good but in vain <br/>8. Gulab Jamoon - excellent <br/>We were disappointed that the soup and starter were brought almost simultaneously even though we wanted them to be spaced out. Overall, very good food, good service but below average seating arrangements. Good for youngsters, not so much for family outing.

This was my second visit to Kouzina. Without a doubt the foods were fantastic as usual. The ambience is sort of cozy, which I do like. 😌 The staffs were very courteous and services were also pretty awesome. The only department which they lacked is the availability of food items specially for desserts 🍨. Most of the items were unavailable. And that’s why I am giving them 4 ⭐️. Otherwise it would have been a 5.

The ambience and the food of this place is going to surprise you.<br/>The mocktails served here are awesome and the Penne Masala Mafia is a great food to try here.The non-veg items didn't surprise me that much though they were pretty great in taste.<br/>It is a great place for eating out,though I expected much from this restaurant as Fly Kouzina was more than awesome.

Excellent restaurant in Saltlake... We ordered malai tikka masala, butter nun and virgin margarita (strawberry)... Everything was fantastic.. We also love the compact & dark ambiance of this restaurant...

During lunch hours half the items in their menu were unavailable! Ordered lasagne and hara bhara kebab . Kebab was decent but the lasagne was terrible, also a very disappointing presentation of the food. <br/>Not a very pleasant experience .

We visited in a large group and thus had the opportunity to taste a large number of items from the menu. The first two dishes, recommended by the staff as restaurant specialities were the most disappointing, chicken kala pathhar was bland and dry and the prawns garlic butter chermoula was low on flavour and came with a watery tzatziki. Things started looking up with the chicken fondue, although the bread cubes tasted a bit stale. The crispy american corn was good. In the mains we had the lasagna con pollo as well as burnt garlic noodles and kung pao chicken which were all quite good. The chicken was rather spicy and a warning from the servers would have been good since a few of us were not able to handle the heat. For dessert we had the brownie which was more of a cake but tasty nevertheless. Overall barring the first two starters it was a good experience. The staff was also concerned about our feedback which was a good attitude. The ambience is warm with wooden interiors, dim lights and soft music.

Ambience was nice. Feels like you are in a mine. 😄 However, foods are overpriced. Price to portion ratio is bad. Starters were nice but I had better starters in Kareem's in less price. Main course items are a bit less in quantity compared with other North Indian or Mughal restaurants. Masala Kulcha was less stuffed and thin. Garlic Naan was good in taste and had nice garlic essence. Registani Lal Gosht was not like as we expected by the name. The whole ambience was suitably lit and gave an extensive expression of deep mines. Mining suits, helmets, gloves and torches hung near the entry passage that gave a fitting vibe to its theme.
