Purchased 10 singaras and 5 pieces of Sankho Sandesh very satisfied with the quantity and guests to whom I served this they even appreciated the quality of the Sweets. Very happy.
The naram paker sandesh of this place is heavenly. Notun gurer sandesh is something like an addiction if you have visited deshbandhu. They don't have much variety other than the traditional ones. But quality wise superb.
I had seen this shop open in front of my eyes about 2 decades ago.
They stock a good variety of sweets which are economically priced.
Their best offering is the Singhara which they make which tastes unlike others and is really nice.
This is an average-looking sweet shop with courteous staff. However, their Singhara and rosgullas are good in taste and quality. The imartis are amazing as well. The prices are cheap.

Located at the Hazra Lansdowne crossing on the right if you are coming from Hazra towards Ballygunj Phari this is one of the best legendary sweet shop in south Kolkata. Though i am not a big fan of Rasogolla, but i still love their preparation made from pure ingredients. Best savory item is the singara, i would recommend to try.
Great mishtis, singaras and radhaballabi. I ordered from this outlet for my father's shraadh ceremony and they were extremely professional, courteous and delivered quality food for a huge order without even a minute's delay. All the guests appreciated the food which was made out of pure ghee and the alu dum was the best that I've tasted in Calcutta.

A quintessential Bangali mishti place. Love their mihidana, sitabhog and sarbhajas. You should also try their gurer rossogollas during winter. They are an absolute delight.
I Have Visited This Place Deshbandhu Mistanna Bhandar Approximately 30 Times When My Nani Used To Stay At Earl Street. She Used To By Me Some Of My Delicious Sweets. Like Lancha, Gulab Jamun, Rasogulla, Rabri, Kaju Barfi Etc. And I Just Loved To Eat Them With My Nani And Her Family Members Since The Year 1996 - 2010 She Took Me There As Her 1st Grandson. A decent sized outlet, popular for their servings of Mihidana and Shitabhog. Located near Hazra crossing, this is one name, which does not have much advertisement buzz around the city. Instead, they rely on word of mouth publicity. Drop down here sometime to try their Singara as well.

They have a huge variety as options starting from Rosogolla, sandesh, Sitabhog Mihidana etc along with pure Bengali singara which taste amazing. Got back some kheer er sandesh back home recently which was fresh and authentic in taste. Pricing has been reasonable for ages now. One of best in this area and very popular too.
