Just found this place while buying books in College street, located near to Indian Coffee house. Really very good food is served at reasonable prices, that's what attracts customers to this place, else it isn't so well kept or decorated

1am visiting here since 2014. Still now the price is very affordable with that tasty foods compared to other restaurants. Chilli chicken is unique and so tasty. You will never find such chilli chicken anywhere. It's a must visit.
Indrani's Paradise
Tasty Restuarant is so much worth of it's name. It is the perfect place to have lunch for the college goers as it best fits a student's pocket and is very hygeinic too. It offers a vast range of meals and snacks. The chicken soup, moghlai and chilly chicken are the best sellers. It is situated at the lane just opposite to the Presidency College.....Coffee House past four to five shops.

Good place for fast foods

I loved the chili chicken and the fried rice more than fish fry and the chilli paner.

This place is my hunger Savior. Moreover it's located in the student hub of the city amidst Jalan College, Sanskrit college, Hindu school, S anskrit college opposite to Presidency University so the daily visitors are students. It's a small place which can not accomodate more than 15-20 people at a time but it's a student friendly one. One will get chinese dishes at huge quantity and at a cheap rate compared to the quality.
They do make rolls too.
Recommending:
âChicken Chow
âMixed Rice
âSweet and sour chicken.

Initially it would be tough to spot this place as it is in the middle of book shops but it's right opposite to the gate of Sanskrit college.

Visited Tasty Restaurant on 22/06/2019. Ordered Chicken Cutlet, Egg Roll and Soft Drinks. The dishes were all freshly prepared and tasty. If we can overlook the ordinary ambience, it is a decent place to eat at very affordable prices.

Yeaaahh..so went here for the first time though i stay very near, as the outlet is not so attracting but this place is quite old...i tried theird their mixed chowmin today which was not so good. Price wise the quantity was good but the food was not uptp the mark. Tried coke with that so tasted good...
Moumita Das - The Food Monger
I was here two days back for quick lunch with my brother . We ordered mixed fried rice along with chicken in tomato sauce and cold drinks . The food I found was very average though the price is okayish . The service as well as food needs to gear up .

My friend and I got really hungry while browsing through the book shops in College Street when our eyes rolled towards this place. The place is tidy and tiny. Price very reasonable and quantity quite good. We shared one plate of chicken chowmein and one plate chili chicken. As mentioned quantity was good enough for sharing. If you are low in budget and you need to fill your tummy, then this place is good to go.

Located just beside the indian coffee house, this outlet is famous between students. The quality and price range attracts the customers. Recommend by a friend, i decided to try this out. Ordered a special chowmin and chicken chowmin, and the quantity was more than sufficient. The special chowmin consists of eggs, chicken and shrimp. The quantity of shrimp was quite less, other than that the taste and quantity they are providing at this price is really good. They need to work on ambience and hygiene, and behaviour too. The staffs and owner were rude to us. They really need to fix it or else they would surely lose loyal customers. Other than that, no complains. The food was good and will surely be looking forward to visit again. đĨ

This is a small place, located in College Street, near Kotha o Kahini book shop. It mainly serves chinese cuisine mainly. They can accommodate 25-30 people at a time. Food taste is okay type and price is also okay for the food.

A very nostalgic place to me. I am lucky that I have gotten a chance to visit it once again. I ordered a veg chow(half plate);a chilli paneer(half plate..4 pieces) and a black tea.

Ambience: 2.5/5...it's a very tiny area..hardly 25 people can sit here at a time but it's neat and clean.

Staffs: 3/5...The staffs were good, humble and the service was also quick.

Food quality: 5/5... The food quality was really good. It was fresh and hot. This is the reason one can find this corner always crowded.

Pocket pinch:5/5 ..... the prices are really pocket friendly.

Overall ratings:3/5..

The food is average. The ambience is nil. Gravy noodles was alright but chilli chicken tasted like chicken kassa. The fried rice should have been better. The staff are polite but the shop owner can get on your nerves.

The quantity of food is huge here! Located right behind the alley of Coffee house, this was my go to during university days. Try the chowmein if you are here. Decent place
Sukanya Majumdar
A small joint near the Indian Coffee House. Difficult to locate amidst the series of bookshops in College Street/College Square area. This place offers Chinese and Mughai food at the cheapest rates possible. A good place for students with minimal pocket pinch. The Mughai Paratha here is one of recommended dishes.
Anindya Mitra
A few feet walk from coffee house in college street. The shop is very small. I have tried fried rice and chilly chicken. It's very pocket friendly and tastes just like any fast food center, nothing special.
The Epicurean Twins
It's one of those eateries that you hop into when you are too hungry to endure the sluggish maneuver of coffee house and too tired or broke to enjoy the soft charms of food station . The restaurant is nothing fancy but their food is palatable and really light on pocket . Overall an ideal place for students too exhausted or too broke for languid adda or lavish dine out .

Whenever I go to college Street, there are few places I visit alternatively and this place is one of them. I have tasted the noodles, fried rice ,chilli chicken a lit of times and fish fry is my all time favorite. So if you are there in college Street and you want good food and your budget is low, please do not miss out this food joint.

A tiny little place in front of Sanskrit college. Perfect for a student hangout. They serve delicious Chowmein and Chilli Chicken, the North Kolkata-college student staple. A very regular place. College goers in College street, visit this place once. It'll be like your regular college canteen hangout.
Madhurima Mridha
Its a kind of okayish place.
Owner is very impolite.
Half of the times you will get nothing but when you get something its really good.
Pocket friendly.
I tried : fish finger, mixed chowmeim, mughlai parantha.
Sebanti Nath
Situated near the very famous Indian Coffee House, i would not say it is my ultimate choice or any such stuff, but it is a good and pocket friendly option to college students. Though the place is very small with around 5-6 tables, the food quality is okay and the place is clean. Service is good too. You can ofcourse give it a try.
Anuradha Mukhopadhyay
Although the restaurant is not so well decorated.,it's very ordinary restaurant, besides it always keeps the hunger pleased of the foodie people like me.i know the food is very oily but tastes good.moglai paratha tastes better than the chowmin.but i am telling to those people who told that the food of this restaurant is very oily, below standard and all that, you people can taste it's chicken sweet corn soup which is really delicious and also healthy!and all items are pocket friendly for the students like us!
Sarmistha Brahma Chatterjee
If there is no other option in the world then you can go to this place. The name is tasty but food here is neither tasty nor fresh. I will never recommend my friends to go there. It's just near coffee house. Forget to visit this place. It's untidy as well.
Namrata Saha
Tasty Restaurant is located just beside Coffee House. The place is mostly popular for students. Prices are okay but quality is poor. I visited here twice and had their Chowmine once and once Rice with Chicken side dish. Both the time the food wasn't food.
Aura Roy
The food out here should be your last option to eat out when here in college street. If you are hungry and no option to visit only then. I had noodles out here. On the higher side of oil quotient. So please be aware.
Madly Foodie
Visited this restaurant few days back. Ordered chicken chowmein and garlic chicken. The service was too slow. They took around 20 minutes to serve. Chicken chunks were on the top of the chowmein. But the taste was unexpectedly good. The chicken was also good. And the price is in the lower side. And as in the college street area, there is a few eateries, if you are here you can give it a try.

I used to go this place very often when I was in my college Presidency. It is just 2minutes from coffee house. The place is ok. Food was good and pocket friendly also. I visited the place today and ordered mix chow , chilli chicken and chicken cutlet. Cutlet was ver good as usual. Chow and chilli chicken was ok. Overall it is a nice place to eat if u in college street.

I used to visit this place often when I was in my 1st year of Under Graduate, this place is very close to my college Presidency and we used to hangout there in groups, at least once in a week.
This place is popular for its Chowmine. 90â
people come here for Chowmine, so did we used to. Tasty used to serve us really tasty Chowmine, but recently the quality has gone bit down, which I noticed when I visited there about a month ago.
Still this place is a good one in College street area and if you are a college student studying in College street area you must visit it.

A small eatery with a smaller menu.. One you could easily miss amongst the busy book stalls of College Street, opposite the Sanskrit College. As hunger struck after an hour of book-hunt under the scorching April Sun, I found Tasty.. The chicken noodles was okay-ish, the water was served warm, to add to my distress!!
Ayantika Bhaskar
Had brunch here once with college friends during my first year as an undergrad. Tucked away in a College Street alley, a friend had brought us here. We'd taken mixed chowmein which'd been served in generous amount and was enough for the four of us. Average quality food with average taste, but not tasty as the name of the eatery suggests.
Sourav BAsak
Went for the Special Moghlai Paratha and Egg Roll. Small seating area. Service is slow. Food items were average but extremely oily.
Staff are always in a hurry so they need to work on that.
Overall a below average experience.
Vegetarian Beast
Average quality Chinese cuisine outlet but with good sitting arrangement. The taste was average, price was little high on compare to taste. Service, hospitality and staff behavior was good.

Once I visited this restaurant...I was low on budget, after buying books...so I decided to go there ...I think its situated at just opposite the Sanskrit college....we orderd chilli chkn and veg fried rice...tasted avg....and yes the food is not hygienic....

I tried their fish fry and it was amazing ! Super crispy outer coating , served fresh and hot ! The fish was super fresh and marinated with kasundi... Yum yum ! Eager to try their other dishes too !

This place is located diagonally opposite to Sanskrit College near Katha - O - Kahini publishers. At first instance it might seem like a book stall but actually its a place to eat out. I liked the place. Good for quick bites and low on pocket pinch.

As I was student of Hare School, lots of gathering I still have remembered here. This is very close to my school. Very small counter but very much pocket-friendly specially for students. We wished to taste Paratha and chilli chichen here.

When u r in college Street and pocket is not that fat , it may be one of ur destination to fulfil ur hunger. I went there more than thrice as far as I can remember. I almost tried all there item, though not finger licking but not below average too. Chicken items are bit over oily .

I was a student of Hindu school so it is situated just opp to our main gate.so for convenience issue I have visited this place for numerous times..
Ambience: small roadside clean
Reception:
Food: average
Price: average
Recommended only for cu precy cmc and Hindu hare Sanskrit students

At the time of "CALIESTA 2k15" the CU fest we went their to have dinner. We were around 5/6 people. Some of us ordered Chowmin/Fish fry/Chilly chicken. They took so many time to prepare a dish. And the place was not so clean. We went there just because of no other restaurants were opened at that time.
The price was not satisfactory with the foods and services.
Anamitraa/The Gut Filling
It's just an eatery for the college students and passer by-s in college street to deal with the everyday tiffin eating routine. That's it. Just like it.
Debangana Das
We used to come here for quick inexpensive bites in between college classes when our favourite restaurant Chinease closed doors. Nothing much to talk about this place. Its a little shabby, but it made decent chowmein, which used to be enough for us, then. And we never really liked the food of Coffee House. ( It's not good, at all). The chicken side dishes aren't really good.
Aditya J Basak
A poor place indeed...and does not do justice to the word 'restaurant'. It's more like a relatively tidy road side eatery. The quality of food is poor to say in the least.not to mention the fact that everything is priced unjustifiably. The only probable reason this place attracted a few customers is probably because of the 4-5 colleges and universities located in the area. But of late even the student crowd has started avoiding the place due to newer options coming up. The place is a bit rude too, with signboards conveying that 'change is unavailable' and 'customers ordering only cold drinks cannot sit at tables, please vacate the table and stand. Ugh. talk about being choosy in the desert.

Went here today with my friend just to try out this place which apparently is frequented by Presidency student folk. This place sits crammed between bookshops all around it. Very tidy little place with the look and feel of those street side fast food joints.
True to its feel it does serve the "Indianised Chinese" so typical of these places.
We ordered chili chicken, garlic chicken and egg chowmein. ALL OF THEM WERE ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! There was nothing right with anything!
First of all, the chicken dishes were with bone!! Moreover both the chicken dishes tasted exactly the same! Both of them contained very small pieces of chicken in a horrible concoction of sauces!
The chowmein portions were inadequate and had no flavor whatsoever!
And guess what? To top it all the prices were exhorbitant to say the least considering the food! Who in their right minds would pay 110 bucks for 8 pieces of small chicken with bone???
Extremely disappointing!
Please stay away if you do not want to torture your taste buds!
