Really good restaurant facing the beach. Food is good and lots of options for coffee, juices and energizer drinks. I only had breakfast and it was good. In general the restaurants in this area are pricey.
Really nice cafe on the first floor with a sea view, away from the hussle and sellers whilst eating, great friendly staff, food all fresh and over 2 days we had various food from sandwiches to fries to pizza to rice to vegetables all very nice, we also recommend the filter coffee the best I've had since being in South India. The prices very good also.
Ideal for brunch. You’d come to this cafe specifically for European and American style specialties, including real brewed coffee, fresh juices, proper salads, and their famous rosti which is like a plate-size latke. I recommend all of these particularly the delicious Energizer juice which I had as a variation with carrot, ginger, and parsley. It’s second storey with a great view of the beach. The staff were very nice and super helpful at accommodating my restricted diet - and when I returned they remembered all the things I couldn’t eat. There’s free wifi and you can sit watch the waves and chill….
After a month in India, I had a serious craving for Western proper food. I had spaghetti Bolognese and a cream of mushroom soup. It was delicious!
Good cooking ...Indian or continental. We have eaten here as a canteen for 3 days as it s affordable and nice view also...
One of my favourite restaurants on the beach. It's on the first floor so there are no hawkers to be bothered by. They do all the usual Indian food but with the addition of the Swiss classic, rosti. Delicious crispy grated fried potato and onion. I have it with crispy bacon and fried eggs. A terrific breakfast.
The restaurant has a very calm, chilled feel and the staff are very friendly.
This place was the first food pit-stop of ours when we arrived in Lighthouse Beach, Kovalam, Trivandrum, Kerala.
We had been eating tons of support heavy curries over the past few days and opted to have a simple rosti, papaya and mango salad with paranthas. All of this was yummy and the staff was really nice.
Definitely recommended for any weary traveller, especially if you're looking for Dutch style food including but not limited to
- wurst
- rosti
- schnitzel

Awesome, one of the very few places in the area that serve real coffee. The food is delicious, fresh, very cheap and there is a lot of choice! I love eating breakfast there and the service is very nice!
So its not fancy in terms of ambience. Imagine a beach shack. But better. Excellent food - continental and coastal. Coastal is not the widest range but good variety. We had drinks, prawns, fish, pad thai, sizzlers, dal, kurma and dessert. All superb. Service is painstakingly slow - but if you are on holiday, that's ok I suppose.
My go to place for food when in kovalam, especially breakfast. It is on the first floor and hence offers a great view of the beach at the same time giving you a little quiet time and space.
The food is also good, nothing extraordinary. You can get a pot of tea and coffee and vile away your time.
