Lip smacking good food. This is the only place where one can find AUTHENTIC PUNJABI food in Kovalam with a homely taste.
In the first visit, Ordered Dal Makhani, Matar Paneer and Jeera Aaloo with plain Naans. Dal was super flavourful, authentic(Mix of Urad chilkha, channa and Rajma) while being easy on the stomach, Matar paneer was delicious. Jeera Aaloo was a typical home style preparation with dry spices and had a tang. Naans were topped with coriander leaves, not chewy at all and quite filling.
Next time we ordered Chana Masala, Aaloo Gobhi and Palak Paneer with Tandoori Rotis ang Green Peas Rice. Absolutely Loved it.
Rate of Breads is on the expensive side though while subzi and pulses are quite reasonable for the quality and quantity they serve.

Hello everyone. My family for several years, come to Kerala, to Kovalam beach. And during this time we visited many institutions, cafes and restaurants, but the Hindustani restaurant, in our opinion, is the best.
Very tasty and varied dishes. Very clean and comfortable. Very high quality service, and respectful and friendly attitude to visitors.
Don’t be fooled by the side alley location! Had a few meals here in late September and everything was delicious. Everything was prepared fresh and served with a smile. If you have questions about unfamiliar dishes, don’t hesitate to ask and the staff will happily explain to help you make a choice. Great for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a quick bite in between.

Dear Mansi, Param and Juvi, time flies and it‘s over 5 years now we haven’t met. But your truly admirers Christian and Nica still think of you, your beautiful restaurant and the wonderful cooking skills that enriched our kitchen even now. Our Kadai Paneer is quite competitive and better than every Kadai Paneer in our hometown - but never tops yours. We still make our Garam Masala according to Mansis recipe and try to get properly fresh bhindi (difficult!) for Christians Bhindi Masala. Only the chili gobi is too hot 🥵
Your Rotis are the best! We miss you, your restaurant and even if this is a quite tendentious love post, it‘s meant by heart. Your food is the best in Kovalam. Keep going, we think of you, wishing all the best. 😘

The food was good and delicious. It takes some time to be prepared but it is cause they make you everything at the moment.
AMAZING NATURAL JUICES!!! Just fruits juices with no ice and no sugar added!!! It's not a turistic place but it's the best!!!! The price is not expensive!!!! Good meals also for vegans ! The owner was totally friendly with us and the day after he made something special out of the menu just for us!!! Thank you!!!!
We stepped in accidentally here and wanted to give a taste of our food to our foreigner friend. The food was amazing and the owners were very friendly. Wish to taste North india food in one of the southern most parts of india, you must head here when in Kovalam.

Hindustan restaurants is the best restaurants in the Kovalam beach. The food is excellent, tasty and so good. Everything in the restaurant is very perfect. The service is very good and the owner of the restaurant are so lovely friendly people. I recommend to all of you friends and family to visit this restaurant whenever you come to Kovalam and must try the food of Hindustani punjabi food .
As name Hindustani pure veg restaurant, food is explaining its name by itself. Food is freshly cooked near beach. Breakfast, lunch, dinner everything is good in this restaurant.
Main thing is that food is like home made. Very delicious and tasty food is available here.
