Paragon Taste Is Wow. I like Their Chicken Biriyani. appam & Stew a Lot
I really like biryani and Chinese of paragon. Paragon is one of the oldest restaurant of the city and well known place for good food . Whosoever visit Calicut for the first time , definitely visit this restaurant . Their biryani is outstanding . Once you will have it , you will always remember the taste . Really like it .their service is also good .

A vintage restaurant in Calicut with high antique value. One of the most popular, in the district. Famous for its Biriyani, the restaurant has gained several awards in the continental arena. They make very many tasty and delicious variants of dishes with due priority for safety and quality. Only a bit overpriced. Peak time is surely noon. It gets really crowded and busy during those hours and I'll recommended advance reservation if it's a family visit. Interiors are a bit congested but can be compensated. The location is again a bit messy, but there is an ample enough parking area across the road.
Paragon has some of the best biriyanis in kerala. They have a good menu with a lot of options for both veg and non veg. Their chicken biriyani , chicken 65 , appam with chicken curry or fish curry are must try items . The prices are a little high, but worth the money for the quality of food.
Food was superb and very tasty. Had the prawns fry and mutton Biriyani. Restaurant is located at downtown and is known for its tasty Biryani. Staff are super friendly and service can be a bit slow. Will visit again.

I have been a regular at Paragon ever since moving to Calicut in 1999.
Recommended dishes- Mutton Leg Soup, Fish/Prawn Mango Curry, Appam/Puttu and Fish Moilee, Tribal Beef, Ghee Rice and Beef Fry
I had veg biriyani here and it was just awesome.....Really a great restaurant. I had a good experience.
I am very conflicted with my review. The mutton Biryani was one of the very best i have ever had. The mutton wasn't dry, had tons of fat and good greasiness in it and rice was full of delicate flavors.
Yet the service was terrible. Waitors would not listen, their kitchen was closed at 10 and overall it wasn't a good experience.
So while I should have given 5 stars to this restaurant for the food, I am taking 1 for sub par service.

Great experience, food and service. One of the best I have ever had in a long time. Everything is cooked to perfection and special call out to Mehboob who took care of us and explained each dish in detail and history in them.

Enjoyed a delightful meal at Paragon! The biryani was incredibly tasty, and the falooda paired perfectly. The chicken roast also stood out. However, be prepared for a bit of a wait due to the crowded atmosphere. Overall, a satisfying culinary experience.
Waiting here to get the seats is the only difficulty you will experience here, the wait time was almost an hour.Ordered chicken biryani and beef chilly both the dishes were delicious. The chicken in briyani was perfectly cooked and the colour of the chicken was mind blowing. The food served was worth the wait. Just loved.

Bring a vegetarian I was initially skeptical about eating here. But was pleasantly surprised with a decent variety of options in veg food.
All the traditional Kerala dishes were awesome. Baked Desserts are not that good tho.
Place is a bit small n dingy & service was slow but v. good.
The complimentary salad with mango, carrot n chilli was just too good.
Dancing tea is another different item tho the taste is like the normal tea only!

Absolutely delicious food! You must try the biryani from here as it's the best I've ever had! They serve it with raita, pickle and 2 different chutneys which offee a nice flavor and texture contrast. My father in law got the fish curry meals and it came with so many sides! I got the Paneer Varattiyathu and the gravy was sooo flavorful! It paired so well with porotta.
Oh man. This was really good. Heartfelt and tummy full food. Biriyani felt like it was out of this world. The best was appam with fish mango curry. It was really good-gasmic.
I recommend visiting on weekdays to savor the food without the crowds and avoid any waiting time. On weekends and holidays, it tends to be busier, leading to longer waits.
For breakfast, we tried the appam, pattiri, mutton stew, and chicken curry. The appam were soft and fluffy, and the pattiri were crispy and flaky. The mutton stew was rich and flavorful, and the chicken curry was also very good.
For lunch we started our meal with the Chicken Lagoon Biriyani, which is a must-try for any biryani lover. The biryani is made with fragrant basmati rice, tender chicken, and a flavorful masala. The rice is cooked to perfection, and the chicken is juicy and flavorful. The masala is also very good, and it gives the biryani a nice kick.

This is first time visited Kozhikode Branch, loved the food, staff behavior is friendly, food serving time is express. Overall very good experience, if finger bowl provided would have been excellent experience.
