Review Aalibhais Thattukada - Kozhikode

I have been to this place couple of times for having snacks and poricha icecream. When I felt like having biriyani for lunch rushed to south side of kozhikode beach. I couldn't find a free space to dine in. So I had a thought of visiting here. Alibhais thattkada is famous for sea food one of the staffs conveyed. He also welcomed to hang out there at night with friends as they have arranged a new space in the upstairs to feel the night vibe along with beach view 😬 Well I ordered chicken biriyani as it was the only biriyani available at that time. I was a little late for lunch hence the food wasn't much warm. Unlike other dum biriyani the biriyani they serve got less masala and chicken was really soft and tender. The quantity was enough for me. The biriyani rice was a bit fat than the other biriyanies I had so far. Pickle and Salna was served along with. The smoked hot water kept for drinking brought nostalgia to me. One of the famous dish I ordered was the Fried Icecream aka Poricha icecream. The crispy coating filled with cashews and raisins and the melting chocolate icecream wen cut into half. There would be a chocolate syrup drizzled over it but they apologized for the non availability on the same. Still it was yum 😋 with slightly burned coating. They charged Rs.80/- for it. The traditionally maintained building with paintings of sea living creatures enhanced the peaceful ambience.

📍Alibhay's thattukada Poricha ice cream😋/Fried ice cream (100 Rs) Calicut is an emotion for most of the foodies.. the good hearted people and their n number of variety foods made calicut a great city. This fried ice cream from alibhay's thattukada is one among them. Most of you may have tried this.. this is nothing but the frozen ice cream which is rolled i n bread/rusk/biscuit crumps after dipping in egg and deep fried in oil. It will be warm and crispy outside but still cold inside. For an ice cream lover, it will be a perfect hot and cold dessert🤷🏼‍♀.

Near kozhikkod south beach,fried ice cream is one of the main dish. But the place is too expensive. Fried ice cream costs 100rs per piece.It is good in taste, but doesnot worth for money.

Ahmmmm...if you like to be in a different restaurant unlike the usual hotels in town, then a good choice... We been there at 1130 night and still had a good food...the Chicken Kadai is selling at INR 220, yet that's a lot to eat... Tried the special fried ice cream - Vanila flavour..good for a change from Naturals, but I don't think im gonna try this again...

Interiors are tastefully designed to reflect the rustic local culture. Local flavors and tried n' tested recipes are the highlights here. Enjoy the sea view, Sip a glass of sulaimani (black tea with secret spices) and Savor the taste of Malabar!

Aalibhai's Thattukada.. best place in Calicut where you can have special fried ice cream.. Those who visit Calicut beach, should visit here and have Fried Ice cream (Poricha ice cream) and special lime sarbath

I would recommend thos place to those foodies looking for variety food in calicut..they have restarted it and i would recommend their authentic kerala food than chinese or north indian items there..fish is a good choice..chinna mutta..beef variyellu fry..

GreAt place to be for a different taste experience... we loved the food there.. ambience is antique. furniture is set like an old tea shop. Service personnel also dressed in traditional... More over food is FINGER LICKING GOOD

Went to this place after a great experience that I have got from their other branch in NH Bypass. The only thing that was good in this place was the "HOT WATER". I waited for half an hour during a Crowd Free time and I got only that. Waiters were moving around as if there is a walking marathon happening but no one turned to us to get an order. The cleaning chap hinted the waiters(3 were there) to take orders in our table. Finally one guy came in and asked for orders. I ordered for an item from the menu, he vanished by saying I will check the availability. Finally we decided we will step out. Informed the manager and stepped out. Do take this as a feedback... Ambience is good Ice cream fried is a good variety Kappa with beef is excellent All the snacks are great Mint with line is also good Over all it's a good way to refresh and relax after a long walk on the beach Price is reasonable

Nice foood and good kadaka fry and porichapathiri is had its was good and really good and too much suggestable to friends and family and aslo nice service of manager there

Been several times mostly for lunch and the menu has lots of good choices and at a range of prices. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Good food esp that they don't add any artificial taste makers. I love their grills samira battura brain fry ayakura molakittathu to name a few.when u started at bypass u totally ignored the one at beach.koyikkotte kadapuram kandu kahwa kudikkunna sugam puthiya sthalathu kittunnilla. Beach ile kada usharakkanam. Epozhum nhangal family aayi idakku varaanundu. Keep it up
