I recently traveled to Leh, Ladakh with my 2 boys (14 and 7 year old). I worked with Meera, Narmada Holidays who helped plan the itinerary for my 7 day trip and Mantra Himalayas were the ones who provided and made all the arrangements. Wangyal was our english speaking guide on the trip and Karma was our brave driver on the 7 day trip. Wangyal and Karma were very professional, respectful, warm and friendly. Both my boys really enjoyed the trip as Wangyal ensured the boys were comfortable, explained them and took care of them very well. During the trip, the weather got worse for a couple of days and Karma was very focussed, vigilant and safely ensured that we got from Pangong to Leh safe and sound. Dushyant from Mantra Himalayas checked in on us couple of times during the trip to ensure all was going well. Highly recommend Mantra Himalayas for their attention to detail and making all arrangements for our trip.

My wife and I were invited to explore the Ladakh region on motorcycles with our very good friends Atul and Arti Kirloskar and five other riders with Mantra Himalaya contracted to organise and support us with all the logistics. WOW.... from the very beginning Jiwan and Jigmet were simply amazing in every aspect. Jiwan's taste is impeccable with regards to her hotel and food selection and she never misses an opportunity to add value to her customers experience. She is extremely knowledgable with regards to what Ladakh has to offer and very well connected which ensures a seamless adventure in what can be an unpredictable environment. Jiwan is larger than life, fun, creative , very capable, well organised and an amazing operations manager. We would not hesitate to do another tour supported by Mantra Himalaya and can't recommend them highly enough.
If you are travelling to Ladakh you must use Mantra - Jigmet and Jiwan know everyone and everything and will tailor your itinerary to the minute to ensure you have a fabulous trip! As a solo female traveller from London the information about Ladakh online was limited, and I was so grateful to the Mantra team for opening my eyes to the amazing Nubra Valley, the beautiful Alchi monastery, the wonderful guest houses. I requested a female guide and the experience was amazing, Chozom was a fantastic guide. One of the days I was not feeling well due to the altitude and Jigmet personally arranged an extra night for me to rest in Leh and checked in on me throughout the day. I cannot thank the team enough for such a wonderful experience!
Jeevan and Jigmit feel like family now. You have to just voice your wishes and they and their team will try and make it come true. We were introduced to some magical experiences. Lunch on the banks of rivers- and not ordinary food - but gourmet choices. The cars always had a hamper of seabuck thorn juice, trail mixes, local cookies etc. We were regaled by stories of local history, culture, and meeting locals too.
I was following a bike group in this last trip and everything was meticulously taken care of. We felt safe and well looked after. I can’t wait to explore more with Mantra and are already discussing our next visit .

In Sept '21 we did the Pashmina Trail with Mantra Himalaya and I met Jigmet again after 2006. During this trip, Jiwan looked after our group and we fell in love with her energy, local knowledge and her colourful personality! She inspired me to plan a motorcycle trip through Zanskar in Sept '22 and we had great fun planning it for a whole year and she got us some great resources. We were 5 bikes and 6 riders and Jiwan recommended a super support team run by the famous Vijay Parmar of Raid de Himalaya race. His experienced support team of two people consisting of the calm and able Omi Bhaiya and the excellent off roader Ravish Sharma made it a trip to remember as we had no worries. Hats off to Jiwan, Jigmet and Urgyan and their colleagues who went out of their way and paid minute attention to detail, for giving us an experience to remember despite the numerous hurdles that came in the way. Jiwan with her effervescent attitude and Urgyan who was always helpful made the trip go as planned with amazing rides and treks deep into Zanskar. Thank you for making it a ride of a lifetime! Cant wait to do another trip and discover a different area of Ladakh with you guys.

We were recommended Mantra Himalaya by a friend and we were very impressed by them !!!The only instructions from our side were that we wanted to be away from the city. The itinerary ensured we were put up in beautiful resorts with lovely locales while also considering our acclimatisation needs. We did not have any oxygen related issues throughout the trip and we enjoyed all the experiences put together by them. We visited Ule , Alchi, Lamayuru, Nubra, Leh, etc.We had a lovely picnic basket provided to us for the entire trip with lots of goodies including the healthy seabuckthorn juice and ladakhi dried apples and apricots, etc. We also were given wonderful souvenirs to take back with us. A special shout out to Jigmet who was very helpful and going out of his way to assist us and made our stay such a memorable one. !! He also arranged a bike ride for my husband which he absolutely loved. Hence would highly recommend Mantra Himalaya. Also, the driver we were engaged with on the trip ,Namgyal was a boon - a skilled driver and very knowledgeable as well.
Jigmet and Jiwan did a great job in curating a customised trip for our small group, with great suggestions and always responding swiftly whenever necessary. I could notice that they made special efforts to cater to all our needs and to understand our expectations. Thanks to their efforts and zeal, our experience in Ladakh became even better. Jigmet is the best!! He helped me to break the Guinness World Record of the Highest altitude grand piano performance on the top of Khardong La. Thank you for everything!

We wandered ten days to the Nubra Valley in a true paradise dotted with monasteries rich in deep Buddhist spirituality. Our Spalzang guide was the best company we could have: a true friend rich in his Tibetan culture who shared with us every day. Thank you Jigmet! Juley!
Mantra is the center of gravity in Leh - owned by the so cool Jigmat and the beautiful Jiwan. These generous and super hospitable guys ensured my visit to Ladakh is embedded for ever in my travel memories. Thankyou Angmo and Thinley (sp?) for being great trekking guides and companions. Such awe-inspiring surroundings and friendly cosy homestays - as winter receded belatedly in May. Felt like the end of the known world up there - yet the snow capped mountains, deep river gorges, arid landscape and cold beautiful dawns reminded me of parts of my own country.
