Review Naushijan - Lucknow

We are there to try their bunch of kabab. We ordered galavati kabab, shami kabab, chapli kabab, butter chicken and rumali roti. Galavati kabab : Services two pieces in hulf plate, melts in mouth as like its name. Taste just awesome. Shami kabab : I tried this kabab for first time and my experience is just fabulous. Minced chicken mixed with onion, green chilli and egg to bind. Chapli kabab : This is the star item of this restaurant. It taste awesome. Butter chicken : It is not like that topical Delhi style. Their taste is so unique. It's tangi and spicy with loads of butter. Highly recommended kababs..

Must visit for some mouth watering kababs. Their Kakori and galouti kababs along with mughlai paratha are amazing! Their mutton biryani is also one of my favourites

Most people stop at the earlier and more known Dastarkhwan BUT this is the semi hidden gem which you can’t afford to miss. The kakori kebab and the chapli kebab are just too good. Top it up with some sweet Shahi Tukda

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙞𝙙 𝙬𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙮: 𝙆𝙖𝙠𝙤𝙧𝙞 𝙆𝙚𝙗𝙖𝙗 and 𝙈𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙡𝙖𝙞 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙖(Ulta tawa paratha) : This was the one of first place in Lucknow to bring in the kebabs from the gharanas of Nawabs. Unfortunately, you will not see any bloggers to recommend this place. 💔 Kakori kebab is supposed to be one of the most difficult kebab to prepare due to its unique texture. It is a bit tight on the outside, however, extremely soft and melting inside. One can compare it with Galauti kebab with the difference that Kakori is grilled whereas the later one is pan/shallow fried. Coming to taste, it is again a very delicate kebab. You will get the feel of Potli masala(very common in Lucknow) like gulab, khas, pipli and the soothing fragrance of patthar k phool(stone flower). The best thing is they have used 100% minced meat and no thickeners like Besan/flours etc are added. I can say, once you try this kebab, you are never going to eat Sheekh kabab again. I have always rated Galauti, Chapli then sikh kebab in my favorite list of mutton/lamb minced kebabs. This will surely share the position with Galauti. I can tell you this is so tasty that we ordered another plate even when our stomach was full. We missed trying their 𝙈𝙖𝙟𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙞/𝙂𝙝𝙪𝙩𝙬𝙖 kebab which you will not find anywhere and it is kind of an extinct dish. You guys should definitely try Kakori and Majlisi kebabs here. 𝙑𝙚𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙩: Taste Wise, I am mesmerized and it surely deserves a 10/10. Also, it is prized at 140 for two pieces(see images) and a mughlai paratha would cost you another Rs 30/-. Not much is needed to be said about the famous Naushijaan. The restaurant is not very posh. At first glance, I had to do a double take as to whether it really was "the" Naushijaan or not. We got seated, and then we ordered ulte tawa ki roti, chapli kebab, majlisi kebab, galauti kebab, and shami kebab. The roti was soft, albeit slightly oily. The galauti kebab was probably the best I've had. It was soft, had a good balance of flavours, and the size of it was very good for the price. The majlisi kebab was creamy, but it wasn't anything special. The chapli kebab had a unique flavour, and it probably was the second best item after the galauti kebab. The shami kebab was good too. Then we had Shahi tukda. It was pretty tasty as well. It wasn't very sweet, and the malai was tasty. The value for money aspect was really good, as the price was easy on the pocket. Can recommend.

They make the best Dum Biryani, besides that everything they cook is good. My personal favourite is Majlisi kebab, kakori pasanda kebab and chicken masala. Mr Azam usually serves me when I visit and takes very good care! Recommend this place to all!

Went to the Naushijan Near Tulsi Theatre on a couple of occasions and have never been disappointed. More than the biryani, its the kababs that steal the show. I have tried Chicken Masala, Kakori kabab and Galouti Kabab- all were excellent, specially Galauti kabab. The biryani was also very good. I tried Mutton Majlisi in Main Course was Amazing. Must try. Service was Great Thanks To Habibul bhai. All in all - great experience.. Love to visit it again.

One of the iconic mugalai non vegetarian food places for us since generations! Absolutely wonderful legacy and quality of food as well as seating area has only become better over the years! This time we enjoyed their freshly made Chicken Malai Tikka on slow charcoal fire, and roasted chicken tandoori. Thank you Naushijaan team

we ordered Kababs, roasted chicken and Biryani taste of Kababs roated chiken was average but the main disappointment was to see the quantity they serve of Chicken Biryani it was in a very small clay pot which cant satisfied even kid's appetite they charged 260/= for that in lucknow you can get better Biryani .

The restaurant dilivered food one hour late and the food was like not fresh ..really bad experience

Don't look too far of you searching for authentic MUGHALAI cuisine...great food....great ambiance and great service....naishijaan is the perfect place for a mughalai cuisine

I visited on a weekday around 7 p.m alone<br/>The restaurant was empty, still I had to go back to the counter to ask for a waiter.<br/>I tried to order a plain curd with my biriyani, which to my surprise was unavailable.<br/>The level of hospitality and cooperation by the staff of lacking compaired to the size of resturant they are running.

It is one of my favorite place which serves authentic mughlai and awadhi cuisines at the nominal prices. The food is really really very yummy so I recommend you all if you are a non veg lover and wanna eat some mughlai cuisines. Hop in to this place once and I guarantee you will not regret. The ambience of this place is up to the mark as this is mughlai theme based.The service was very good. So overall experience was very nice.

Taste of Majlisi Kebab was awesome. With Paratha it was even better. Biryani was good in taste. Staff was friendly.

I took a break in Lucknow as it was long and I was craving to have galaoti , now may be it was too early but had bad experience<br/><br/>Naushijan is coming up well my friend told who is local , I use to prefer the other two outlet in neighborhood but I gave this outlet a chance :-) , shamk was average , galaouti was very basic may be the ration of papaya and mutton was not apt , the biggest let down was boti kebab , now they practically served gravy mutton for this which was bizzare<br/><br/>The only saviour was mutton kadhai

Galawti Kebab was not good. Chicken changezi was fine. Ambience was good.<br/>They took 45 mins to bring the order.<br/>Kadhai Chicken was the one that stood out.

Order naushijaan chicken biryani. Since it was mentioned under special head, it was expected to be a special taste but unfortunately it was having a very normal biryani taste. Would like to taste something really different and tasty.

Good food menu and very good signature dishes, especially chapli kababs. Slightly on the expensive side. Dastarkhwan maybe a better option with an AC seating space next to the original place. Though Naushijaan has a bigger menu and way better in ambience.

I’ve eaten here after a while. The place ranks poorly on taste of food - the shami kebabs were very sour and unpalatable. Ambience and cleanliness are also quite poor. Plates and glasses were quite dirty. It was a very disappointing experience

The biryani I had here was fabulous and deserves a four star, the biryani was very good I enjoyed eating the biryani here and the aroma of it was also better and was mouthwatering, As you know that I am a big fan of kebabs and like to explore different types of kebabs.

On my recent trip to Lucknow, i was recommend to this by my cousins who are from lucknow and are food lovers as well. The recommendation was pasanda kabab (mutton) with parantha. It was just amazing, the above rating is purely on the basis of taste and the combination i ate. We sat in our car outside the restaurant and our request the food got served in the car itself.<br/>If you visit lucknow, its one of the must haves..

Okay so Naushijaan is like old school shop now, I use to visit Naushijaan on regular bases before 4-5 year's but now it's getting worst day by day.<br/>Gravy items is fine but they need to maintain there other items like biryani,kabab.<br/>Hope we will get The Old Naushijaan Taste again in future.

A good place to have kababs if you are a kabab lover.<br/>Authentic muglai kababs served with good taste. Remember it to eat hot dorect out of the warmth of the coal as its taste changes when it gets cold.

Worst mughlai food I had in Lucknow .I saw the ratings earlier and was very excited to visit the restaurant.I had kakori kebabs tasty and soft,as majlisi kebab was out of order they suggested mutton handi kalimirch and it came with a litre of oil on top of the dish.It seemed as if four mutton peices floated on a tub of oil. Naushijaan special paratha was also not good...bland taste and full of oil..I am rating it 2 stars just out of courtesy.Never going back there again.

A descent place to hangout with friends and family. I love the dampuk biryani over here. they also have a buffet section which is a better option if ur willing to have a descent table with your friends and family.

Naushijaan is known for its kebabs and on my trip to Lucknow I made sure I have them. The Kakori kebab & Pasanda kebab are to die for. They are so soft and juicy that you can finish off a plate all alone. Wanted to have Sheermal with the kebabs but it was not available at that time we went.Their chicken biryani is fantastic. I usually feel biryani is best when it has mutton in eat but here the chicken biryani is at par with some of the best in the cities!! Pricing is again very cheap. Thumbs up!!

Went to this place recently, it was not equivalent to its name.<br/>Location is ofcourse prime, but the perspective of the restaurant and its ambience was not at a good. Service was also quick and good. We ordered for tamboora chicken, the boy said its their Speciality, it had quite a blad taste. Kakori kababs were really good and roomali roti was also soft and thin.<br/>Overall its a nice and cost effective place

Visited Naushijaan around lunch a couple of days back and I must say it is one of the best places to in Lucknow to have some excellent kebabs, Biryani and other mughlai items.<br/>We ordered the majlisi kebab, Chapli kebab and Biryani and each of the item was perfectly cooked and served.<br/>The Biryani was the best I had ever, the majlisi was great too, Chapli was average. We also wanted to try their Kakori and some other items too but they were not ready that time.<br/>For trying all the items available on their menu one must visit during the evening only.<br/>Service was excellent and pricing was reasonable.

This restaurant I had visited with my friends and I must say the mutton biryani that we had was incredibly amazing in taste, it was freshly prepared with fresh basmati rice and fresh mutton pieces.

The restaurant is behind the Tulsi theatre. The sitting arrangement is inside the restaurant for families. As we all know Naushijaan is famous for its Hyderabadi biryani so we ordered one.<br/>It contains four chicken pieces, one boiled egg and their secret masala served in a pot.<br/>Although had a disappointing experience first the chicken pieces were so small and the biryani was not even hot.<br/>Must say the taste for which Naushijaan was famous has completely been destroyed.<br/>Fast service but useless because the staff is not attentive after 20 mins I got water in dirty glasses.Less space for sitting.

I am a diehard fan of this iconic place, there kebabs are to die for, namely majlisi ( unique and best of the lot), kakori, pasanda and the classic Galouti which is cooked on Charcoal out here, giving a crunch to it all of them are fuckin spectacular

I used to visit Naushijaan very frequently until a couple of years ago. The ambiance has nothing to boast of, but I was simply in love with their smokey Galawat Kebabs and Chicken Masala. I mean "absolutely loved them". And they are still good, I guess.<br/>My experience was ruined one ill-fated day when I found a bug fried crisp within the kebab. Highlighted that to the server. He came back with another plate. And, guess what - Same. We lost our appetite and left. <br/><br/>I explored other restaurants and developed a taste for them. Never returned. Miss their kebabs and chicken masala though.

Amazing Mughlai food. Naushijaan is an old favourite for my kind of food I.e. Mughlai. The service is quite prompt and the food is always fresh. New Ambience is also good and the new 299 buffet is an amazing deal. <br/>Don’t forget to avail the hookah here at 299 only. I was astonished by the price because I couldn’t find such good food at such low cost elsewhere in Lucknow. <br/><br/>A five star.

we have got food delivered at our place .. boti kabab was amazing .. Declining quality of food, a mere shadow of the Naushijaan as it used to be. Had order chicken malai tikka which was supplied not even grilled properly and the marination was below par as well.

Going here from last 10 years or more......Thier chicken masala is the best thing ......Chapli kabab are also good ......galawati kabab is ok .....as most of the other big mughlai restaurant cleanliness and hygiene is a big issue

We ordered a Galawat kabab wherein, we found pieces of cockroach in it......Felt disgusting and left the place immediately !!! won't recommend this at all
