Chicken Kali mirch... It was tasty and in good quantity... Definitely must order/eat this item.. This was the first time I ordered from this restaurant and experience was good.
For me this restaurant is like home ,i m visiting here from last 3 years .they serve delicious mughlai dishes specially chicken barra and kaali mirch is my fevrt .sevice are too good 😊highle recommend with great price
This restaurant definitely has the awadhi flavour of Lucknow that people come looking for. Situated in Lalbagh, opposite Novelty, one can only guess how old this restaurant is. We ordered Chicken Masala and Rumali roti. Tasted absolutely delicious and the quantity was mind blowing. Chicken lovers and people willing to try something traditional and old should try this place.
Al zaiqa has been one of my favorite restaurants as they never make changes in their taste.
Their MSP is Mutton Biryani/Chicken Biryani, which is a must try thing.They also serve curries, stews, kebabs, tikkas ,etc with different breads.

If you're hungry, Just grab a plate of half mutton biryani along with a cold drink and you're done!
Ambience: Ordered a take away though the place has a modest set up. Focus on the food not the setting.

Food: Mutton biryani was tasty with soft mutton pieces.
Paranthas were how they are supposed to be. Perfectly cooked.
Mutton kebabs were super tasty and totally worth trying.
Paya nihari was decent though I found it more oily and lacking the distinct flavours of nihari.

As usual tasted my all time favorite mutton biryani and also hogged on the mutton galaouti kababs.
The galaouti were as usual spicy in comparison to dastarkhwan with lots of black pepper.
however the show stopper remains the mutton biryani. the mutton pieces extremely soft and rice blended very well.
One biryani that never ever disappoints me.
Two must try things mutton stew and chicken fry. Mutton stew is just phenomenal. Sometimes they serves you mutton with all those pieces which you don’t like to eat, immediately complain to owner you will not be disappointed. A must go for non-veg lovers.
Had been there twice and had mutton esthoo and biryani. Biryani is normal but mutton esthoo was good. The ambience is very poor and shady. Not a place to go with the family+ the car parking problem.

Went to this place at New Year's Eve to have their famous Mutton Bandgosht. Really loved the dish. Tried some of their other dishes too like Mutton Kebabs and Chicken Masala.
The kebas were really good very flavoursome and delicious. Mutton Bandgosht I found the gravy to be good but the mutton was a bit chewy. Overall taste was good and subtle. Chicken Masala on the other hand was average.
Although the food was good and tasty the service wasn't upto the mark at all. The waiters weren't very responsive at first and took a lot time for dish prep. Keeping New year's Eve in mind I think the service should have been more alluring.
But I would recommend you to try this place for their famous dish.
The main reason to visit here is Boti Kabab..The best taste from others just like the way it cooks in our homes.
Whenever i go without a seconds just order my boti kabab along with Rumali Roti.
& yes their rumali roti is also quite soft then others..infact when i finish eating 2 i didn't know..Or baki ka its harder for me to finish 2 together.. The best is their roti is even soft after it's get cool.. It doesn't take time to chew..

Good restaurant with good food but not for common people,More expensive and also separate Bar available .....
Tasty food reasonable price, place is very small there could be a problem in sitting, wait time is much as it is in front of novelty cinema. Not suggested for group more than 4 because of table issues.
Flavors are awesome I recommend take away if number is more to dine in.

This place serves great Mughlai food. Ambience and cleanliness are average. Service is bit slow.
Mutton Stew and Mutton Bandgoshta are their best delicacies. I will recommend to enjoy them with Khameeri Roti. Their Afghani Tikka was tasty and cooked upto the mark with a perfect char.
I also tried their Chicken Masala but its wasnt tasty and chicken was bit undercooked.
