Review Sainik Bhojanalaya - Lucknow

Food was great as per the price. Though the place was a little busy when we arrived. Recommended if you want to throw a budget party.

Sainik Bhojnalaya, going to this is not like going to just another place to it. It has been well over 25 years since we started eating at this place. Now that should say all about it. The food is simple & delicious. For me nostalgia hits hard whenever I visit this place & the taste is still the same. Highly recommended & do try the daily specials whenever u get a chance.

Despite the sumptuous and delicious food, my dining experience was marred by the fact that the person serving it constantly touched his face and wiped off sweat with his hands. To my dismay, he then proceeded to handle the cut vegetables on the table without even bothering to wash his hands. The lack of hygiene in this aspect is concerning and should have been taken care of.

This place is older than me. I first visited when i was 4 years old and i still remember those days. I went to this place after 20 years or so. This is an Average Hotel with good quality food. Please do not expect with ambience its pretty basic. But food is tasty and sufficient for a person or 2. I ordered Palak Paneer and Matar Mushroom with butter tawa roti. It was really good and we were full. Spices were balanced and after eating 5 rotis, our stomach didn't felt heavy or full. They also Have Buffet facility at nominal price of ₹245/- with unlimited refill . ( I don't know more about that as i just wrote here ,which was written on there wall) I will recommend this place. Pocket friendly, affordable, good for big family. Plenty of sitting space.

Food is amazing - Veg restaurant and varieties of roti from tandoor is too good. Had paneer and dal - which tasted extremely well. Overall, an amazing place!

This little desi eatery located at Sadar Bazar is over 50 years old and dishes out amazingly tasty veggie food. It became popular when army people who were fed up of their tasteless mess food came here to have cost effective yet delicious food. Their matar paneer, shahi panner and dal tadka punjabi style is absolute delight and damn tasty Their besan roti is also a must try. The place is always packed with people and packing orders so make sure you are there well in time. The owner is polite and takes special care in getting your food prepared. Food delivery from here is available both on swiggy and zomato but it is best to visit the restaurant and get the food packed fresh right in front of your eyes. Cost effective and super tasty.

Last night we ordered from this bhojanalaya. We had ordered green salad, butter naan, missi roti, roti butter, rice plain half, seasonal veg and dal fry. 🍡Dal fry was good. They sent arhar daal and it tasted really well. 🍡Seasonal veg: they send us aloo methi sabji. Garlic taste was very dominant. Average taste. All breads were good. I liked missi roti most. Apart from green salad, complimentary salad was also sent. The quantity was good for 4 people. Food was received in 25 minutes. Food received was hot.

It a popular veg restaurant/dhaba in sadar cantt area... serving hygenic & fresh food are their specialties...u can taste many veg dishes like matar paneer kadhai paneer mix veg etc...all dishes are delicious...u can try veg Indian rice also ..that is also tasty..

Food is nice and service is also good

You should first remove this dish paneer butter masala or any other dish which you are not making fresh and in a proper way. My mother had food poisoning after having 2-3 bites of this smelly and filthy paneer butter masala. First I thought smell is coming from my kitchen<br/>And then I gave it to my mom to have it she told me that food is smelling. So please don't order from this place.

The quality of Paneer butter masala was not upto the mark as i can taste the rawness of the gravy. The gravy was not well cooked and also there were only 4 small peices of paneer in it which was not acceptable.

Everything was excellent but horrible experience at the cash counter in their listing they have mentioned that digital and card payment is accepted but at the counter they ask only for Cash. pathetic service, Not expected that kind of stuff

The best PANEER BUTTER MASALA. I have ever eat, not only me infact my brother's(Green parrot) Favorits.

Ordered Chhole from here yesterday. Food is excellent. Apparently these guys take packaging and covid measures very seriously. You can dine in and you'd be pleased but even if you're going to order home delivery, go for it. Great packaging and excellent food. Definitely will go for this again. Recommended 5/5.

Food is good in taste but they use lot of oil in their preparation , not a healthy option for some people

We ordered Full Thaali along with Mattar Paneer and I must say everything was upto the mark. Missi Roti and Dal Fry are a must try. Even lachcha paratha was good.<br/>Overall the food quality and quantity was very good.<br/>Will order something soon. It was a very fulfilling culinary experience.<br/>I would give it a 4.5 star rating.

Sainik Bhojanalaya is very near to my home.I am visiting this place since year 2000.This place used to be famous for its awesome Shahi Paneer.But now their Shahi paneer is tasteless.Price are reasonable.One must try their Dal Fry,Mashroom Korma and Paneer Butter Masala.Rest all ok.I still miss their awesome Shahi Paneer.

They add too much of colour in food..and during rush hours they do not properly cook or prepare the food..same gravey for every paneer dish..try ordering 2 or 3 diffrent paneer dishes the tast and texture will be same

Very old and small rest but the food is fresh and very tasty. Although its not so good for family, bachelors and working class executives are regular customers. Huge fiitfalls in lunch and dinner.

OMG what an awesome food. Don't know what's going to happen tomorrow as cleanliness is the big issue. Was not expecting such delicious paneer dishes and nicely tandoored Indian breads. Really very cheap around 500 bucks for three. Don't go there if u r hygiene freak.

I m not a veg lover but seriously I love the vegetarian food of Sainik bhojanalaya......I loved their each and every dishes I ordered.....I ordered Dal makhni, Paneer kadhai, Tandoori roti butter, Butter naan, Papad dry and Raita.....I would say all the dishes were yummy and decent in taste..... Seriously after a long time i had tastiest vegetarian food and enjoyed their dishes.....

Visiting this restaurant since I was a child. Went there many times the taste is awesome and yummy and apart from all this price that is too fair.. really very awesome and a good restaurant to visit but the restaurants is full and crowded many a times.<br/>I would recommend to have a visit once for sure.

The place will always be in Ur budget. Situated in Sadar, the joint serve only Veg food and what they serve is delicious. Had a Paneer dish which was yum. <br/>If you are low on budget and want to have tasty food, you must visit this place.

Well I love having Food here and the taste is very good..<br/><br/>U can feel the typical Lucknowi taste in their Matar paner<br/><br/>The Dal Tadka is awesome and worth the money.<br/><br/>Veg and  veg both the Biryanis are very tasty. Biryani lovers just give it a try once.... Good food. . . . Selective short menu. . . Goof place for veg lovers. . . was too good . . . .

Aaahhaa.. superbly tasty food. The owner is of army background. I usually take away food from here. All main course dishes are tasty.. naans are yummy & fresh ..

There's not much to say about this place its just a regular restaurant with shitty decor and service. The food is better than their decornand service. The place won't put a burden on your wallet. Their naan is worth checking out other than that food is not that good. It's not worth checking out but if you are around sadar and if you are hungry this is your best option to eat.

The food tastes good and its even very economical. Place is good but holds less capacity. Good for a dine in but not for big friends circle and families.

The owner of this is awfully rude. Makes the food less delicious. Ambiance is not it's specialty. Good food at affordable price should be this place's tag line

Firstly in my life , in the year 1992, I enjoyed the Mutter Paneer from this Holet & it was very delicious. It costed me @Rs.20 for full plate I think so at that time. We were in Lucknow as my father was in Army & posted there at Command Hospital. I dont know what type of Mutter paneer is prepared now after so many years. Hoping for the same old quality!
