If you are looking for soul satisfying, comfort food look no farther than Smart Alec. The ambience and the two resident puppers are so relaxing and welcoming.
All their dishes are a visual and culinary treat.
And the ladies themselves are so warm and approachable, you feel very well taken care of.
Non vegetarian, vegetarian or vegan - whoever you are, you need to treat yourself to a Smart Alec experience. You will definitely go back for more.
P.S I would recommend trying their pizzas, if you are a pizza person. Hands down the best vegan pizza I have had in my life.

Being a hard core non-vegetarian, I wasn't expecting much out of the place but the moment I took the first bite, I instantly fell in love with vegan food. It's hard to differentiate between the taste you get from their dishes and a normal non veg dish! If you haven't tried vegan food, I highly recommend this place. The cake pastry was another classic dish with just the right amount of sweetness!

Came here on my birthday. The very concept won my heart. How many restaurants have the guts to care less about the majority crowd who are hard core non veg or at least savour dairy products and promote cruelty free and vegan food. Coming to my review on this place-:
Ambiance- The ambiance is a typical cafe style one done up in lots of blue and white. The walls are adorned with pictures taken straight out of vegan websites. It is a beautiful cafe. 4/5
Service- My husband and me were the only customers that evening, probably because of the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic. The service is good and the servers are polite. They know exactly what the dish is which is a rare quality in many of the staff at restaurants specifically considering this is a vegan one. 5/5
Food- What lovely food! Having the food here will make you question - Why is any kind of cruelty against animals necessary to make good food. We tried the following-:
Masala Chai- This was so amazing. It is of course a little different than the milk based chai we drink but it is nevertheless delicious and so well made. Totally loved it. 5/5
Lets Mezze- This is basically a hummus platter having pita bread which is similar to herby nachos rather than the bread, hummus which was delicious, falafel but I could not find the pickled veggies. 5/5
Margherita Pizza- I swear you will love this. Cashew mozzarella cheese and a mock feta cheese with cherry tomatoes, this one is an exact copy of the original, probably even better. You have to try this one. 6/5
The Red Wedding- What amazing Spaghetti served with two slices of vegan buttered bread! It will play with your taste buds and you will crave for more of it. Looked super appetizing as well. 5/5
Tofu Steak- Yummy! These guys are doing a lovely job and have amazing cooking skills. It tasted so nice and so were the sauces blanketing it all up. Served with rice. 4/5
Blueberry Vanilla Cake- I bet you wont find a better vegan cake anywhere! Just go for it. Couldn't have asked for a better cake on my birthday specifically when it tastes so good. 6/5
Muzu Madness- I did not like this dish. It had small tikkis of mushrooms with a blob of vegan cheese/butter on top but it least appealed to my taste buds. This was literally the only dish I did not like that evening. Skip this, please. 1/5
To add to all of this, they also have some vegan confectionery items like vegan butter, cheese and other spreads which you need to pre order.
Will I come here again? Well, I cannot find any fault in this place and their intentions are super clean. We need more such restaurants in India to encourage people to turn Vegan and ensure a cruelty free life for animals. I will come several more times and would love to cover the whole menu. This restaurant will break the myth that vegan food doesn't taste good.

A nice place for people who like vegan food. Visited recently for dinner and it was a okay experience.
Ordered Let’s Mezze and Italia Pizza. This was my first time trying vegan food and it was not that bad. Pizza tasted good with good amount of topping and a nice thin crust base. The Mezze platter was good as well but would have been better with some pickled veggies on the side.
Also had an Indian Filter Coffee with Soy milk which was different but delicious.
Had some issue with the Zomato Good option and will suggest to ask beforehand which all dishes it is applicable for.
The chicken 65 was THE BEST!
I really want to get my meat eater friends who say that vegan food has only raw salads.
This place is worth a try.
And coming to the Palak paneer and butter chicken, they were simply amazing. The vegan butter and the cakes were also good.
It would be very hard to differentiate between their vegan food and the actual non veg food. Keep it up, Smart Alec.!
Good to see vegan places emerging like these in hitech city which otherwise was just a biryani paradise.
The vegan cheese on the pizza was perfect and better than the regular heavy and greesy cheese. Tangy tomato and carrot soup had just the right flavour.
Drinks were refreshing and without any added sugar.
The look and feel of the cafe is bright and cheerful. This is for the ones who like simple , less spicy and vegan options.
What a refreshing change ! Hyderabad needs more such places.. All the dishes were top notch and drinks were refreshing . Special mention of tangy tomato and carrot soup, Italia pizza , french fries .
Ambience is lovely too. Vegan cheese served in the dishes tastes better than usual cheese elsewhere.
Must try this one with chocolate ice cream! Yumm
We ordered chicken 65, Margarita Pizza and chocolate cake. This is a complete vegan caffee so they don't even use dairy products and honey. The chicken 65 is a must try. Pizza taste though was not upto the mark.
Ambience and decor is good.
This place is fantastic! All vegan menu, with lots of variety - from vegan takes on Hyderabadi classics like butter chicken & chicken 65 to creative world cuisine. Beautifully executed, flavorful & delicious food - highly recommend. Also a great place for indulgences like ice creams, milkshakes, pizza etc. Bonus -they also sell ingredients like vegan butter.
