Review Amman Restaurant - Madurai

This restaurant is situated on the main road and since there is no dedicated place for parking our vehicles it is sometimes hard to find parking here. There are two types of dine in here, one is A/C which is on the first floor and the other one is normal which is situated on the ground floor. The ambiance is good and the restaurant is well maintained for the crowd it gets on a daily basis. There is good variety of foods available here and the waiters are friendly too. The taste is excellent for all the dishes I've tried. The cost also felt nominal. One thing to note out is that there is a juice shop just outside/on the entrance of this restaurant and the cost of having it in the restaurant is quite higher than having it in front of the juice shop. So in my future visits, I would prefer to have juice at the shop rather than having it in the restaurant (cost difference is quite high as far as I have noticed). This is one of the best vegetarian restaurants within madurai City limits and I would suggest people to visit this restaurant atleast once. Completely worth the hype.

Visited this place for breakfast, tried for mini tiffin, looks like they are not so much interested..so ordered idli..it was amazing, four different varieties of chutneys and sambar. Taste of sambar was yummy. Pongal was ok, medu wada is superb. Highlight is Puri masala, excellent taste of bhaji. Filter coffee is awesome.

Good Restaurant with clean ambience. This place is owned by Tamil comedy actor Suri. There are both AC and normal sitting in here. They are famous in South Indian Thali and they have n no of dishes to serve.

Went to Amman hotel for lunch when I was in Madurai last Sunday. Went to their first floor family AC dining. The hall was fully crowded. The supervisors asked us to share a 6 seater table with 3 other people. We passed the offer and waited for a 4 seater table. Finally got a table after 20 minutes. We ordered special meals for everyone as everyone was raving about it in the reviews. We were served soups almost immediately. But the main meals were served delayed maybe due to some stuffs got over. But the rice and curries were really hot. Dhall powder and oil combination was a hit. Veg sides were ok. They were giving multiple serving. And they didn’t deny our request for extra pappad too. The complementary cup ice cream was not that great. Overall a ok experience for us. The only thing which we personally felt bad was people were standing and waiting for getting tables stare at people who are eating. They can try making a waiting hall outside with a token system for entry, so that people who are having food and people who are waiting will also feel comfortable.

Went for lunch for the first time to this place and wondered how I missed them all these days. We ordered the special meals that cost rs.200/person. The menu for this package was so elaborate and sumptuous. Very tasty dishes and what made us feel good was the way we were treated by the staffs. They were friendly and helpful. The servers knew how much they should serve in consecutive servings without wasting food. I could sense all their staffs should be well trained and the management takes so much of effort to deliver great experiences to their customers. They well understood that gold experiences make loyal customers. Easily I wod rate Amman as one.of.the best restaurants in Madurai for vegetarian meals. High quality food combined with nice ambiance and friendly staff!

Visited this place on Saturday. Food is very tasty and available in reasonable price. Highly recommended for pure vegetarians. Very good for hot whether as its an AC restaurant. Parking will be a little difficult as its on the road side, better to park few meters before or after and it will be easy to find the parking for car.

We tried mushroom briyani and curd rice. Both taste good. Must try veg restaurant in madurai.

The best tea in Madurai surroundings.I never had such a tea in any of these.Felt like to order one more tea.The snacks also 😋 Nei Paniyaram was the authentic snack here only 2 is enough to fill ur stomach.People who really visit Madurai don't forget to have tea and snacks. Yet to taste in here the restaurant food's. It's own by comedy King soori..Highly recommended

Whenever I order Idly or Chappathi, they take the order and after a while they come up saying they'll provide Dosa and Parotta for that.<br/>This had happened more that twice for me.<br/>Last time it was even more frustrating. They took the order and after 10 minutes they told they'd provide me Dosa instead of idlies. When I argued, he told he's cancelling the bill and they're out of Dosas as well.<br/><br/>Just because you need to make business, you don't have to fix choices for people.<br/><br/>Worst Customer Service.

Ordered just idlies...after 35 mins got call from Amman representative and says idly out of stock ..... frustrating...if idly not in stock why you need to accept the order ..... disappointment ...

We were searching good veg restaurant around Madurai thanks to Google ...after reading reviews we decided to take a chance because in Madurai we were not getting fine dine restaurants..so visited this restaurant on 1st floor ambience is ok compare to ground floor it's good then..but should should maintain ...now about food we order Madurai mashroom fry,paneer biryani,idli wada sambar..Madurai mashroom fry was too good I didn't had this type of mashroom dish before..they used different spices along with coconut,plathora of curry leaves,along with red dry chillies 😋😋😋 must try this .. biryani was also very good but they didn't served curd raita with so I was little disappointed but they served onions and one curry that was also good in taste..sambar was pretty good .. proper authentic Tamil Samar..over nice restaurant but need to improve hygiene ..

Good quality and homely food

While travelling i took a stop here for breakfast<br/>Their stall doesnt looks that good but believe me its totally awesome and lovely wrt taste and the cost<br/>Wada sambhar and dal wada i had was so awesome, crunchy, delicious along with sambhar and chutney which were also perfectly delicious

Had normal meals. Food was tasty 👌 quantity was more than enough! Also had mushroom fry which was also very good. Good for family with out being much spicy. Definitely recommended.

Worst hotel in zomato service, If you order two dosa they will send you one and if you call again to complaint this, they ll not pick the call... FRAUD!!!!

worst experience i had in my life, they can't even give you a glass of water when you enter, cz i asked them for a glass of water from the start when i entered the hotel.i think one guy is better among all those servers because he gave me the water after almost 30 minutes and he asked the order while i am listing the foods which i needed he gone to kitchen for some reason i don't know .i have no idea why these guys are having these kind of people in their hotel, i ma not mentioning a particular person over their.. i am mentioning the entire people who servers food in the hotel because in each and every table every customer's face gets irritated by these guys services. Finally one guy got the order from me after some more minutes i cant even calculate that and thats where the battle started, i keep on asking him for the food for the next one hour and constantly he just answered a single line which the management teached them "Food is preparing" and after one hour i dont know whether that guy got pitty on me or what he just gave me the foods which i ordered, so if you guys wants to ruin someone's day just invite them to this restaurant and give them a treat that is enough. i believe Karma is a beach,,soon they will get fkcd up for these worst services.

Quality very bad. Quantity insufficient. Price very high comparing others. Better to avoid buying from this restaurant. Tandoori roti is not properly cooked. Planner butter masala tasts sore. Probably old stock.<br/>
