I loved the place, the food was a blast, we had the almond & wild mushroom soup, the fish, the grilled veggies and the icing was the Irish coffee. I've been fortunate to have had this beverage in many of my travels, and I thought these guys know their drill. I'm in all awe of their food, their service and their hospitality.
There's one thing, that stood out, when the waiter sent the bill from the top, the waiter down realised that one of the orders weren't billed and sent the bill back for that to be included, but when the bill came back it had an extra beer which was never ordered or served, if an astute waiter who didn't serve us, would know a drink not billed, should be not know what we consumed. With all the tech at their command , I'm surprised about an over billing. It shouldn't happen, well heeled tourists who spend money trust the organization to be fair and diligent. Make sure your dine with them, their food is second to none. Also make sure you are billed right, not a penny more, not a penny less. 🤔
I recently visited Cafe 1947 in Manali, and it was a delightful experience. The cafe's location is fantastic, nestled near the river with breathtaking views.
The ambiance is inviting, and the architecture and interior design are noteworthy.
We tried the Pizza and Mushroom Almond soup, both of which were delicious. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, the overall experience made it worth the expense.
If you're looking for a scenic spot with great food, Cafe 1947 is a solid choice.
It's an Amazon place to visit. Well Located scenery - wise. However there is usually a waiting during peak/ close to peak hours as they only have 3-4 riverside balcony tables. They are good with putting a table on the waiting list. Parking outside could be an issue as they don't have parking and you have to park road side and might not find a good spot.
Hookah is also allowed in the patio in the open, which makes the whole place smell of hookah smoke and flavour which was not ideal but a personal preference. They also have a closed hall for this right next to the patio.
Food is good quality and quantity.
I came to this restaurant with my family after recommendation from friends. We all had an amazing time. Food was delicious and the staff so attentive and friendly. I just wanted to say thank you! It's not all the time people get praised, the quality of the service and food was excellent. This has been the best meal ever, the presentation was superb, cooked to perfection. Location is great with riverview and the view of the mountains from the table was so mesmerizing.
We will definitely be coming here again soon

It was okay , not so good it could be because when I visited the riverside sitting was closed.
Location is awesome and ambience is good. Vibe is great here. Try garlic cheese bruschetta and hazelnut coffee ☕

When you fed-up with traffic and reach at Manali then you have to must spend your night time here.. you'll feel very charismatic.... literally nice place nice view and good food!
The ambience is too good near to beas river bank. You can see the great snow covered himalayan peaks. They reserve the outer most part for Rs. 4000/- but you can sit everywhere else for free.
I ordered lasagnia, pantost pizza, hot chocolate and caramel latte and I must say everything is worth eat it.
It's an amazing cafe in old Manali.
The cafe is known for its relaxed ambience, great food, and live music performances.
This cozy cafe is located along the main road & easily accessible & has a good parking facility. There is indoor & outdoor seating (by the riverside) as well.
If you're in Manali, it's worth checking out.
We went there for normal snacking and it had a great ambience and vibe. There was live music which was the highlight. The food was nice too.
It was super amazing experience, mushroom duplex was super yummy, pizza was fantastic & delicious .
Thai red curry was not so amazing, Irish coffee & LIIT was amazing.
Nice place to hangout if you are in manali.
