Must try thali. It will have everything:
Red rice, siddu, sarso ka saag, makke di roti, Rajma, kadhi, gud, ghee(ample amount), chutney and what not.
Staff is so sweet and homely.

We visited the 'Sagar Thakur Dhaba' after visiting the Jana waterfalls. The place was located at a very beautiful and photogenic location.
We ordered traditional himachali dish which had a siddu, makka roti, rajma, kadhi, and a veggie which tasted similar to bhindi, and adding to that was aachar, ghee, phudina chatni and powder form of jaggery to add sweetness.
Not only the food but also the hospitality and attention provided to each customers was great, the smile on my mother's face and owner Sunitaji's face shows how happy we were.
I insist someone to visit here who wants to try Himachali thali near Jana waterfalls. And I will be looking forward to visit this place in my next visit as well.
Pretty good Himachali food, with essence of the actual method by which food is cooked in Rural India.
I particularly liked the Saag with Roti; plus their Siddu when eaten with their home cooked Ghee tasted heavenly.
Would recommend that you visit this place not just for the tasty food but also beautiful view of the peaks of the Kullu Valley and a lovely drive through the dense deciduous forests.
They also have a branch in Vashisht, right next to the petrol pump.
If you're in Manali & visiting the Jana waterfalls, I highly recommend you to have your meal here. I can't say how much I loved this Little restaurant and the people here. Must try their veg Thali, the food here is very authentic and the best local food in the area❤️
You can't really leave manali without trying their local dish Siddu, I loved having it here in Sagar Thakur Dhaba.
The woman and the kids who run this place are very hardworking & lovely. Definitely worth experiencing the authentic food and the place💯

While the famed Jana Waterfall itself isn't much (locals have siphoned off water from the source so there really isn't much of a waterfall left), Sagar Dhaba is excellent for its authentic local cuisine... Made the trip there worthwhile.
Coming to Manali? and want to have local food then this place is for you. Pure food with traditional preparations. Dont expect a big restaurant but this is a small dhaba with big hearted ppl lovely delicious cuisines with warm hospitality in chilled nature near small mineral waterfall.
I relish there local veg thali I guess which have siddu, sarson da saag and makki di roti etc. The taste was very good. It is very near Jana waterfall.
We tried the Himachali Food both at Mani Ram Dhaba and Sagar Thakur Dhaba.
We found the food quality is much superior and better at Sagar Thakur Dhaba.
Mr Thakur's hospitality was 5 stars and he was kind to offer so authentic village Himachali Cuisine.
We recommend the Sagar Thakur Dhaba if you plan to visit the Jana Waterfalls.
Sagar is a smart and helpful man 😊 Upon reaching Jana waterfall trekking point, he guided us to park and encouraged us to have a meal at Sagar Thakur Dhaba.
Wa the Siddhu Thali is a champion dish. FANTASTIC!!!!
