It is the best place to have a good view. The service is top notch and the food is good too with live music at night. The manager is awesome and friendly. You can take him to a trek with you.
People here are friendly. It is the endpoint in old manali so difficult to reach here from the bottom Mall road market.
It was my second time here. The Place, people, food and Manali best view. If you are travelling solo or with your friends and family Monk base is the best place to spend quality time at very reasonable price.The room & Dom was comfortable and immaculate. The staff members were very friendly and helpful . Location was picture perfect. I had a wonderful stay here. Also a special thanks to Vikas , Jacky bhai & staff member.

Had an absolutely amazing stay at Monkbase at an affordable price. All the staffs were exceptional and fun! Food is amazing (a bit pricey - but food everywhere in Manali is pricey).
The location is a bit inconvenient if you're planning to roam around Manali everyday as it's a hike to Monkbase (same is the case with all hostels in Old Manali), but the stay is worth the hike! Perfect place to chill and work from.
The bestest experience, my first trip can't believe that it would be so outstanding just because this hostel stay. The stay is just like perfect they have maintained everything so perfect can't tell any other word then "PERFECT".

Vikas is the best manager, takes care of all your needs, food, stay, arranges trips to nearby places. Also takes you on hikes and treks. He is a very warm person and I made a good friend.

We used to sit and relax and spend hours basking in the sun, staring at the mesmerizing view and listening to music while sipping coffees, ginger lemon honey tea.
Staff is courteous, friendly and helpful, rooms are clean. They will clean it as per your requirement.
Food is good, homely, tasty. Do try their aloo puris, parathas , cheese omellettes, cheese maggie and ewrything else is good too.
Will definitely visit again in winters when it snows.
