Overall a must visit for fish n chicken.
Good food, even better ambiance!
Yeah, the cost of dishes maybe little expensive but for the kind of ambiance and quality of food they serve I think it's okay paying couple of bucks etc.
They usually come up with various types fest / themes like mutton fest, onam special and so on which is awesome. Loved the initiative and food is tasty too!
Must check it out for seafood speciality and typical south Indian delicacies!
I came by this place yesterday evening more by accident. Thinking this was a Dosa place , then decided why not have “the Dosa”. Entering , I liked the ambience and then was really surprised by the Menu choices. Turned out it was not a Vada/Idli/Dosa restaurant, but a full fledged “Meals” place with a really, really excellent “variety” , and I really mean “variety” of vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian dishes not just from South India , North India , Mangalorean but also from South East Asia As well. And was I tickled to see Mangalorean home made items like “Ethi-Pundi” and “Marwari-Pundi”.
But due to Some health restrictions yesterday and as I had entered the restaurant to have something “light” and vegetarian, on recommendation from the staff I ordered veg stew which comes with 3 aapas as part of the order. Lovely Aapas (decent size, not stingy at all ..soft and full .. very well made) and went very well with the Vegetable Stew. That’s it I am going to come here to try their other fares.
Great to have a restaurant that offers “local” food in addition to having an international variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. One thing I didn’t see in the menu is the Mangalore “Sukkah” items .. I might have missed it in their large menu choice, but am hoping they add it in case it’s not there.
Great Food . Great Ambience .Most importantly Great Staff . Our family had a good experience . Definitely Recommend to anyone who wants to experience great south indian cuisine
A good place to have a family lunch/ dinner. Lovely ambience and friendly staff. From the starters to the desserts everything was delicious. A must recommended place to take your family's to.
Was keen to visit this place after seeing continuous posts on social media. Review is as follows
Food 🍱: Ordered the Chicken Thali , Aapam and Chicken Ghee Roast. The Aapam was heavenly just the way it should be and it went really well with the ghee roast.
Ambience🍽️: Great Ambience. The vibe is great with the traditional paintings all over.
Service 👦🏽: Great staff! Amazing service. They were extremely courteous throughout our dining experience
Overall verdict would be to definitely check out this place when you're down to Kudla 🌴
If you are looking for authentic mangalorean food then this is the place... each and every dishes are equally delicious.. every dish is unique in terms of flavours and taste...true authenticity they have maintained....
Coming to the food...We ordered calamari and chicken ghee roast, chicken pulimunchi, appam and coconut rice... right blend of spices...their appam is soo soft and spongy I never had such appam in my life...for that I really want to thank their chef for providing such delicious and yumilicious food... chicken pulimunchi was another unique dish that mesmerized me...I simply became fan of this place... the ghee roast flavours was bursting in the mouth like heaven...one thing is the quantity of ghee roast was lil less..
Decor was nice and cozy..staffs are friendly and greets the guests warmly...thanks to all the staffs and chefs for doing their job so nicely...everything was just so perfect about this place that there is nothing negative...
Been here during their Mutton Festival. Great variety of dishes to choose from. Roasted Mutton Pepper salad, Mutton Nimbuda for starters, Lentil Mutton Shorba & Mutton Ka Shorba for soups are must tries. The chef recommends Koyla Dum Biryani for main course and it's just divine.
Ambience is a mix of well lit and calm. Also has liquor menu. Great for a family visit.
As the name suggests, this place serves authentic South Indian Food. They have a wide variety and also occasionally they host and serve various south Indian cuisines as part of their food festival. The pics are from Kotunadu Food festival - A local region from Kerala with their authentic delicacies and the recent Appam Festival
Great ambience, food and service. They have very friendly staffs. Food here is inspired from South Indian dishes. All though, they add thier own twists to the taste and present it to you in a modern way. It's like a homely feeling at an eatery. They change thier menus according to the season and trends. They come up with really great ideas and are trend setters.
Visited Simbly South in anticipation of #2020. Restaurant was empty when we walked in around 8.00 PM. Started filling up when we were leaving around 10.00 PM. The food was excellent and the service was very courteous. Would really recommend this restaurant. We were also provided discount vouchers for Rs.200 X 2 for use during subsequent visits.
Pan shots finished off the dinner.
I would recommend this restaurant. The service was very good waiters are in traditional lungi n shirt good serving good ambiance price also reasonable only i was nt happy we dnt got large bear only pint is available food was good
The food was delicious. Loved the chicken and the fish cooked in banana leaf. The fish curry was average. Avoid the cocktail. Ordered the malgudi days cocktail and it was nothing but coconut syrup... Terrible
A place Worth going to. Food served was pretty great. Ambience was good too. Service is excellent with very friendly staff. Would certainly revisit this outlet.
A great spot for traditional South Indian food. The variety of dishes presented for the Aati Festival on their special thali was definitely worth trying!
Mango Fest @simblysouthmangalore mouth watering dishes. I love this hotel for their unique way of promoting dishes through various fests and unlimited flavors on their menu
The simplicity of this place will make you love it. The food is more than nice. Not so overpriced.
