It's a very old restaurant in Mangalore famous for its pork dishes. Food here is very cheap and nice in its taste. You will get nice pork and beef dishes here which are not much expensive. They have added a lot of varieties of food recently, like chicken Ticka and all.

Was not lodged here. Been to the restaurant and they do serve beer and hard drinks. The food is awesome you get assail varieties of Mangalorean delicacies. Very old setup, so do not expect posh and plush seating, just standard chairs and tables.

The best place in Mangalore to have traditional Konkani Catholic food. This establishment isn't for vegetarians, although vegetarian options are there but extremely LIMITED. The place has an old world feel which is unparalleled and that really adds to the experience. It has a sperate area where you can drink. Just tip the waiter and he will get what you want from the next door wine shop. The pork delicacies are a must try here. Lemon pork and pork bafat are a must try. Even the Tandoori and continental items don't fail to entice you. My personal favourite are the Malai Tikka(Roasted Cream Chicken) & Seekh Kabaabs are a must try along with there continental Steak in butter-lemon sauce.

Not familiar with Mengaluru, so couldn't find this tucked away restaurant easily. Location: There is the three story C. Arouza building, with the Central bank branch on the 1st floor. The restaurant is in the alleyway off the main road and opposite (left side) the University college. Taste: My first dish here was pepper pork. Taste and portion were decent. Tasted as it should just like peppered meat. Had beef gravy rice next. Nice. Local Mengaluru semi-polished rice (complex carb). Gravy is tangy, cooked with meat but served without it. A pleasant surprise because I was full and am also someone who believes that red meat adds to gravy taste than being tasty meat in the gravy. There may be many such surprises in Pereira's. Veggies and prawn with coconut was served along the beef gravy rice. Kind of wholesome. Nice atmosphere. There were nuns and naval students; mothers and daughters; and lone men guzzling beer. Middle classes will find the prices quite reasonable.

Favorite of Mangaloreans in the 60s,70s,80s. Pocket friendly, large servings. Mainly pork and beef. I have friends and cousins who were the regular customers of the place.

Good hotel for non vegetarians Started by Ignatius pereira Taste is like traditional konkani style Prices are high for the ambience provided by the hotel You can take your drinks from outside bars Smoking area is in the upper ground area Hotel is not clean upto the modern day standards. Must try cheese naan with chicken alfresco Economic hotel for drinking and smoking. The worst thing is the hotel will be closed on Sunday..
