Review Hotel Costa Restaurant - Mangalore

Fried rice and pork fry were very good.Meals and beef chilly was okay..But all in all ,it is a very good restaurant

If you are a Non-Veg lover. This place is HEAVEN. Fish, chicken mutton , pork, buff, rabbit . Yes. Even that. I had buff chilly and Paratha. It was amazing !

Best nonveg food. Since it is a christian restaurant you will get all the nonveg dishes from pork, chicken, mutton, beef and varity of fish, prawns, crabs etc. It is located beside Father muller medical college entrance. All the items are like home made one!!!!

I used be regular to costa hotel but since 3 months they have changed the management now a lot of bengal staff who have no clue of mangalorean dishes. The food does not look good and tasty , the kitchen is dirty and so are the staff. many people come here for authentic mangalorean dishes which is not available. Dont be fooled you will be served with chili powder with meat, the hotel manager who seem to in his 20's knows only one language and is rude who looks drunk all day. I will never go this hotel till they improve . A inspection by the corporation health department is required.

Typically old school restaurant serving good old manglorean and mix of street food . Economical on your pocket

Always I look up for mangalorean Catholic food. Fairly good always but u will find some tiny cooking errors like half cooked, too spicy, spoilt coconut used etc. Lack of parking space is the biggest headache. But overall good

Very nice shop with friendly staff. Had the authentic taste which will make your taste buds go crazy. And it's one of the oldest restaurants in Mangalore. Everyone should check this one if you're in Mangalore.

Pork dishes and beef soup is a deadly combo!!!!

Just had a scumptous meal at Costa. Hv been here years before and today was another day for amazing mangi food.. The beef sukka was tender and delicious, the meat actually was melting in the mouth with a perfect blend of masalas.the fish meal was an absolute combination. Wat stood out was the Rabbit sukka, wow it was delicious. The way it was prepared was just PERFECT. Though it was a one man Army I still would not want to hold back on giving this place a 5😊

Worst hotel really worst fish was not well fried pork was worst every item here is worst

Quantity of food ws ltlle waste of money

I ordered pork chilly, the quantity was less than half even if it was a full plate. They put only fat in the container and there were no flesh pieces at all. I'm really upset with the service

Worst ever hotel i have seen.... We ordered 2 Plate Beaf 4 porotta and 2 tea.... the taste was such a bad dat we didnt eat it fully.... and they give a bill of 600 rs. We asked the manager and he was very rude to us... they were comming to hit us nd atlast we escaped by giving the bill...

Quantity supplied on Zomato is very less. Full plate was less than half plate beef sukka.<br/>Felt cheated. The charge was for full plate. Zomato must check this out and rectify it. I don't think I will order again from Costa...

Great Mangaloren Catholic cuisine. All the regular pork fish and chicken varieties are available. Also steaks too are available. I enjoy the typical Mangaloren fish thali with pork

I had been to this restaurant to bring beef chilly . But I got beef chilly was mixed of pork meat and only chilly powder which looks like just sprinkled.

I have ordered your 99Rs lunch..for two times....it's showing 3 iddli..with mattton masala.....in zomatto...but both times I got only 2 idli with mattton masala... don't cheat the costomer..otherwise taste is good....

We sat on the 1st floor and 1st we ordered for a cold mineral water and the waiter got it in 20min.<br/>I understand he had to go down and get it but still 20min is pretty long.<br/>Coming to food ordered for EGG FRIED RICE which was good and then ordered for ANJAL STEW GRAVY with RICE which was also very good. Also ordered for PORK CHILLY, which was just bones, blubber and chilly powder. It was bad<br/><br/>3 rating just coz 2 dishes out of 3 were good

I ordered 8 Neerdosa and two chicken sukka...I got only 4 Neerdosa and two sukkas...zomato is helpless....cheaters. don't believe these guys...better you order directly from the restaurant<br/><br/>

I had ordered a 100 buck dinner for beef fry and parrotha and they delivered it with 2 small chapatis. What a waste of 100 bucks. The taste is average. Later I had ordered a chicken sukka with 4 ne'er disable but got only 2. These people might have good food at the hotel, but delivery wise they are scamming.

IAM trying hard to be polite when I write this review but it was one of the worst food we ever ate .. pork was not cleaned properly with hair on it , pork bafath was just water with few pork fat pieces , beef chilly was good but had lots of powder and onions than beef

I don’t wana be impolite but I felt cheated as I ordered BEEF MASALA and was given plain beef in a curry which tasted 100% like fish curry. Owner wasn’t considerate at all, in fact he defended the dish. He said all dishes are alike...so is this how Mangalorian cuisine is? N he said it’s not fish curry....sir! I’m a Goan! Don’t tell me how fish curry tastes like😒 super disappointed! Even more coz I live near bye n frequently visit d restaurant

We were really happy with the portion size and the itemz in the menu card. We simply went on ordering items from the menu when we realised that they were serving pork and beef for less than 100 Rs. We really enjoyed the beef chilly and the pork vindaloo here.

Visited this place since the Periera hotel was closed. It is equally good since we were supa hungry.<br/><br/>Masala rice comes with rice, a gravy of the meat you order, pickle, vegetable. Good Portion though.<br/><br/>We ordered:<br/><br/>Chicken masala rice: Chicken gravy was the usual manglorean one. Didnt like much.<br/><br/>Mutton masala rice: Mutton bone chunks with not so tastly gravy.<br/><br/>Pork masala rice: Yummy for pork lovers.<br/><br/>Beef masala rice: Traditional style gravy..goes good with beef.<br/><br/>Pork chilly: A must try.<br/><br/>Beef Roast: Could have been slightly more roasted. But the flavour was yummy.<br/><br/>Chicken chilly: Made with chicken bone chunks. Must try for chicken eaters.<br/><br/>Squid Masala fry: tasted good.<br/><br/>Neer dosa: costs 8 bucks but its just half of its actual size made at Mangi homes.<br/><br/>Overall good food at low budget. 900 for 4 ppl with stomach full lunch.<br/><br/>Service good. Ambience ok. A must try place.<br/><br/>The anna was very helpful...gave complimentary salad and sambar.

This is by far the cheapest place for meat lovers , but make no mistake it's taste is umatched . No points really for ambience cause there is not much to talk about it . Coming to service it leaves a lot a room for improvement . But the main part that is what they put on your plate is another story . They serve one of the best sukkas and chilli in town be it chicken or beef . Pork pepper is my personal favourite. They aslo occasionally serve exotic meat .

If you are a die hard non-veggie like me.. Do visit this place.. They serve great pork and beef.. The prices are incredibly low.  Sukka, Chilly, Gravy etc.. Meals are also at very low prices.. Ambience is not great though.. Its a simple place..  Hygiene can be better though... Overall a great place to eat pork/beef.

For the pork lovers out there !! 😂 is all I can say!! The pork dishes here are amazing!! Love the pork chilli here!! Being a very old hotel the ambience has not been improved at all!! A take away is preferable than a dine in

One of the few Ines that sees beef and pork, which isexactly what you should go there for.<br/>Beef had too many bones, still tasted good. Pork was beyond expectation, I didn't expect a little joint to do Chinese pork well, but they exceeded my expectations. On the oily side though, so you might wanna do something about that. Couple of cokes to wash it down and you're good.

It's a simple hotel. normal plastic chairs. No AC. But The FOOD seriously AWESOME. Variety of choices. Food tastes like home. Very reasonable price. I keep of going there at least once a week.

Rated 3 only for the food, as the place does not offer a great ambience. They do have family section.<br/>They only reason you would want to step into this place is for the meat. I've been here twice I have tried dishes from seafood to pork and beef. I have always missed out on rabbit meat here. Well if you plan to give this place a try either for dine in or takeaway recommended dishes are - pork roast/chilly, beef steak gravy, squid chilly, parota curry and simple meals are also available. <br/>Taste/quality may vary time to time. But do give it a try.<br/>Happy eating!!

Homely Mangalore food at really reasonable prices, but don't really expect cozy chairs and tables and posh ambience! Loved the food though ?
