Amazing experience! Fresh authentic food, we opted for veg thalis and a plate of fish. The weather added to the already great experience, must visit.
P.S. - They have a new location opposite the post office, we went to the original location at the city square.
Amazing homely veg meal. Even non veg options were fresh and tasty. Fully recommend this place for a satisfying lunch
Location : Mawlynnong village
Ambience: atmosphere is very good, well maintained by the village inhabitants. It was nice to see youngsters are managing the restaurant. The restaurant is located on the first floor.
Seating arrangement: sufficient seating arrangement..nearly 8 tables with about 36-40 chairs are present.
Price : reasonable, considering the location. Do keep in mind, we are having food in a north east village which is bestowed as the cleanest village of Asia.
Veg thali Rs 160
Egg thali Rs 190
Fish thali Rs 250
Chicken thali Rs 260
Service : very good.
Taste : the food is very tasty and they provide unlimited rice, daal, sabji for each thali.
Parking: available
Highly recommended for those who visit Mawlynnong
Simple business like looks with less of "show" in appearance as compared to some places in that place.
Good location overlooking main open village square.
Plain, simple and functional furniture and dining hall without any pretence to achieve any sort of particular ambiance.
We ordered veg as well as chicken thali.
Plain simple tasty and wholesome food. Hot spicyness provided by what was called 'chutany'. It had looks of finely cut salad rather than 'paste' like look of what chutany normally look like. It really packed a punch and provided all the hot spicyness any body would need.
Recommended.
Very nice and simple place. The food is simply awesome and it gives peace of soul. The place is super clean. Very reasonable price compared to the serving portion.
Simple but tasty homely food. Veg thali was good and reasonably priced.
The owner Crosbina is very friendly and gem of a person. We had very nice conversation with her. We got to hear many local stories and their way of life.
Very LOVELY experience, the owner is very sweet and friendly, the food is authentic and homely. It is worth every rupee you spend here. Do come and support them, they are doing a great job!
I visited Mawlynnong on Oct '21. I had a very healthy and homely lunch in this restaurant. We had ordered omelette and chicken thalis. Veg thalis are available too. All in affordable prices. The waiting time is about 10 minutes.
I personally recommend and encourage to visit and relish a homely meal after wandering in the beautiful village and thus help them with their livelihood.
