On my recent visit to Mira Road i found a place which serves fresh perfect smokey charcoal grilled hot kebabs in Mumbai city called Shahi Zaika. Usually for kebabs i have always gone to South Mumbai mostly Byculla where you get authentic traditional best flavor kebabs and Mughlai food. Now Shahi Zaika wasn't up to that level but it was definitely a place i would regularly visit with my family. Located in Mira Bhayander Road this restaurant serves Indian, Mughlai and Chinese food. The service was super quick and staff was always around to give best of suggestions and they knew the menu really well to guide you too. The seating is very comfortable, ambiance is not extraordinary but it is decent. Overall it is a family restaurant which is normally crowded. Now coming to the food this is what i tried: 1. Koyle Ka Khazaana - Tandoori Mix Platter Shahi Zaika (21 Pcs) Rs 880 5*/5 This is by far one of the best kebab platters i have eaten in recent times, honestly i was reaching a point where i was giving up on kebabs because normally the kebabs which are served are not up to the mark. But this platter had chunks of good pieces of meat and amazingly cooked , so tender , so delicious, each one had a unique taste. The taste ranged from subtle sweet and spicy to medium spicy well marinated and charcoal flavor meat. It had 4 pieces each of 5 different variety of kebabs and it was worth the spend if you are in a group - Chicken Malai, Chicken Afghani, Chicken Pahadi, Chicken Seekh, Tandoori Chicken. Highly Recommended! 2. Chicken Shahi Zaika Special (2 Gravy) Rs 270 4.5*/5 This was recommended by the restaurant and it has 2 gravies served in one dish. The green hyderabadi creamy thick gravy is extremely delicious with lovely garlic flavor and it is medium spicy. The red gravy has a special tadka of red chilli flavor and i found it very spicy. This was also very tasty but i liked the green gravy more. There were enough chicken pieces in the dish and it was good for 2 to 3 people serving. 4. Mosambi Juice Rs 60 2*/5 I was disappointed with the juice here, it was way too sweet and way too cold. 5. Fresh Lime Soda Rs 55 5*/5 Nice and refreshing 6. Fruit Salad with Ice Cream Rs 150 5*/5 This presentation was beautiful. It had a lovely fresh fruit mix with a taste which was nutty and ice cream was yummy topped with a cute cherry. Recommended for ice cream lovers. My Experience: Taste: Delicious Quantity: Excellent Quality: Excellent Service: Very Good Staff: Decent Seating: Very Comfortable Wheelchair Accessible Entrance Ambiance: Decent Price: Inexpensive to Moderate Type: Family Restaurant USP: Mughlai Non Vegetarian food and grilled items Parking: Available AC/Non AC Available There is no kids menu as such but they do assist with customized food for kids Hygiene: I found the restaurant to be clean , also the main kitchen and tandoor is visible to the customers and the food was really handled well. Amazing place to have a good tandoori food. Service is up to the mark. This is the only restaurant which have a card machine to accept it. Most of then doesnt have card machine. The place is also good.......
