Review Min Yang - Mumbai

Zac A
Outstanding hospitality of Taj as always. Amazing Chinese selection with almost authentic flavours. As close as you can eat but yet being Indian at taste. The side dish of picked cucumber was outstanding in its subtle sauce. Their after meal fortune cookies are my favourite. The chef also came to check on us. Really amazing hospitality by Taj Thank you Ming Yang team

One of the highlights of Ming Yang is the quality and freshness of its ingredients. Whether you're a fan of dim sum, Peking duck, or Sichuan cuisine, each dish is expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. The dim sum, in particular, is a must-try, featuring a variety of dumplings and buns that are both visually appealing and delicious.

One of the best Chinese restro in Mumbai. Little pricey but according to me its def worth it as it gives you quality and quantity. Ambience, good view, food satisfaction, fast service and simple dishes but flavourful. Cocktail Drinks recommended - Since 1806 a bourbon whiskey, Rum diary, Smoked Sencha.

I am a great fan of Oriental food and have a friend who is equally crazy about it too and thus we decided to land up here. Given the fact that it’s located inside Taj Lands end valet parking is available. The restaurant is located one Level above the lobby. In the morning the view of the Arabian Sea is a freebie and thus we choose to visit for lunch. We strayed with crispy and spicy chicken that is a good munchie along with a beverage of one’s choice. It actually went well with my beer. After an hour of drinking and conversing we were hungry and requested the chef to make something with noodles, chicken, mushroom and vegetables that should be slightly gravy based. He made a magic out of our description and we realised it till the last bite. Can’t thank him enough for this gastronomical experience. I have uploaded the picture of the dish though the true nature of it has to be experienced physically. Highly recommended. Must visit for an Oriental delight.

Went for dinner with family at this restaurant. Prior bookings are recommended. Ambiance is exceptionally good. . Well the food tasted good, i wish the soup served could be more hot than just being warm. . Rest of the food tasted good, staff was helpful. Service was a bit slow. . Surely always worth going back to Ming Yang

I had been to Ming Yang at Taj Lands End Bandra for my birthday celebration with my family. We had Lamb guo tie dumplings, Ming Yang Chicken, Cantonese Prawn Rice, Yan Chow Fried Rice & also vanilla ice creams. They also gave me complimentary cake for my birthday cutting. The food was too good and tasty. The ambience was also very good. The service was also very quick.

A landmark in Bandra West, the Taj Lands End houses this Oriental cuisine special restaurant, Ming Yang, on the first floor, offering a scenic view of the Arabian Sea. The large glass windows make the restaurant look bright and roomy, and like most I too liked the airy feel of the place, where you can enjoy your meal in your own space. We were sat not far from the windows, would've preferred to be right next to them but all the tables there were 6 seaters at the very least. Our first order was the Crabmeat, Scallop and Asparagus Soup, which was decent, the chilli pieces giving it nice spicy feel. For starters we opted for Ming Yang Chicken and Hakka Siu Mai, the latter being a particularly good prawn dim sum. The chicken starter was not as impressive, could've been spicier, for we found it to be a little bland. For drinks, we had one mocktail, Guangdon Reprise, which thankfully wasn't too sugary and one cocktail, (one of the recommended one's) Since 1806, bourbon based, smoked with Cuban cigar, and I really liked it, a must have for any whiskey lover. Our mains was a rice variety, Yan Chow with Pork and Prawns. With no gravy we were wondering if the rice will be too dry but luckily that wasn't the case, it had excellent "fried" flavour and the pork was very well cooked too. The desserts options were quite limited, and the one we chose, Baked Cheesecake, was very disappointing, bordering on tasteless. The service and staff is flawless, they're polite and helpful with the menu. To sum up then, I would recommend this place as a venue for occasions, given the setting and the ambience. The food is a bit of hit-and-miss, though the quantity will not disappoint you.

In the event that a greater amount of us esteemed food and cheer and melody above stored gold, it would be a merrier world. One of the basic focal points of first rate food in a metropolitan city is the amazing feel you to a great extent coincide with a fair restaurant. To give family a change treat them to an extraordinary night at an extreme five star restaurant, where they can value fine food just as staggering natural factors as well. Regardless of the way that Mumbai is flooding with such rich top of the line diners, nobody verges on 'Ming Yang', while examining Chinese cooking. Chinese food in Mumbai is lip-smackingly varied with amazing choices in bistros to eat at, yet Ming Yang wears the jeans through its ideal standing and staggering inclination. What used to be Regent is by and by Taj Lands End at Bandra West and is the rich region of Ming Yang. Huge names consistently progressive the spot for its luxurious style and tasty food. Ming Yang has a remaining to keep up, especially where its food is concerned. Since the time Regent changed hands with Taj, zone isn't the single thing they have exchanged. Ming Yang holds its head, Chef David under whose course the bistro has quite recently rose the ladder of progress significantly higher. Start researching Ming Yang's magnificent Chinese menu through the starters, for instance, butternut squash dumpling, burn siu puff, lotus root wastes with sweet stew plunge, squid tossed with pepper salt, new singed Sichuan bean stew potato, nectar covered pork save ribs and kelp lobster soup. Move along further with, kailan in ginger wine sauce, Singapore stew prawn with steamed bun, Nanjing peking duck, Hakka braised pork stomach, sheep and kenya beans in XO sauce, fish Japanese udon noodles and cut chicken in ginger wine sauce. Taste on some specialist tea near to your eat and find comfort in this little custom. For desserts Ming Yang does spiced crème brulee, origin chocolate mousse, jasmine tea rice pudding with poached peach raspberry compote, mandarin darsan and date pancakes with vanilla frozen yogurt. The eating space at Ming Yang is fundamentally dazzling with immense blustery estimations and sensitive wooden enhancements. Pruned Bonsai plants by and large, an enormous splendid winged snake and lines and sections of tea pots appeared on the racks makes up for the way of Ming Yang. Sit near the fortified glass windows from where you get a stunning viewpoint outwardly. The look is rich, light, formal and elegant. Expensive anyway supported, in spite of any difficulty. Seize the momentand you will all remember those gentleman's serving

I had been to this restaurant with my family for lunch. The ambience is spacious and looks beautiful.Had ordered out Lamb guo tie dumpling and Ming yang chicken for appetizers and Yan chow fried rice and Cantonese prawn friend rice for main course and it was delicious. Also tried out two desserts vanilla icecream and cake and it was delicious too.

Krishnadas was absolutely delightful - he told my 11 year old son about the various ingredients in each dish and the cooking style for them. The food was also great with a special call out for the desserts (check out the pics). My favourite dishes would include the Pan Fried Noodles and the Sichuan Vegetables. Amex Concierge ensured we had an extra special time with complementry desserts and wine.

Well I'd been here way before the lockdown and had used Zomato Gold which was totally worth it, considering the ambiance, food and service. Great place for some authentic Chinese food.

Birthday lunch or dinner is generally a lavish one. We visited this place for Birthday lunch only.<br/><br/>At first we were informed that there is no Jain food a available. However, thereafter, when we were about to leave one of the staff person made us speak with the chef. He customised their dishes according to our requirements.<br/><br/>Trust me they tasted really good. However, they are super expensive for the quantity served. The cutest thing about this place is fortune cookies served in the end.

Min Yang is a restaurant we have visited every few months. Being Platinum members of Taj Inner Circle we do prefer this restaurant over others. Our experience this time was a little disappointing. We went on a Sunday evening and were taken to our table by the hostess. It took them 15 minutes to get us our menu & then another 10 for someone to come take the order... we went with a 4 year old so one can imagine. Anyways after we ordered, the food did come quickly which was good. We had ordered soup & also rice together so that I could feed my daughter. When they got it- I asked for something to cover the rice as it would get cold by the time we’d have dinner. After waiting for 10 mins we had to remind our server again, and then he comes and tells us there’s nothing to cover the rice... so we told him to use a plate! Anyways we proceeded to eat our appetisers & then the main course. One of the dishes we ordered was noodles& just as I was helping myself to it, I saw a hair! This to me is just not acceptable at a restaurant inside a Taj Hotel! We informed the server and while everyone was very apologetic... it did ruin our appetite. They offered dessert and also didn’t charge for the noodles and got us a fresh plate.,, but by then the damage was done. We packed the leftover food and got out of there as fast as we could! Never thought I’d experience this at the Taj!

My fiancee and I recently visited Ming Yang, and we both were extremely shocked at the poor service and quality of food. It was a Saturday night and it was absolutely chaotic we were seated in a corner on what seemed like a side table with a cover layed on it. The hostess seated us and left without handing us the menus or service us water. Through out the evening we must have had atleast 4 different servers no one was constant. Our wine took ages to refill, and the food quality was pathetic like the chef just made it and dumped it into the servicing plate. I didn't feel like I was dining at the Taj,no personalized service, no attention to detail, no presentation, there was no difference between services rendered at a fast food ordinary Chinese restaurant and Ming Yang. Not worth the money or time. So disappointed.

Nestled inside Taj Lands End, Ming Yang is a sorted place serving delicious Asian Cuisine. It’s always crowded, so pick up your phones and make your reservation, Remember it’s in Bandra and you are not the only Richie rich around. The ambience is lit and alluring, the customer service is perfect. You have to order the Pan-fried dumplings and the Sushi, it’s near to perfection. The Sticky rice was up to the mark, if not sinful. The waiters are really helpful and they guide you really well. Only shortcoming is the process is too slow, the food from the kitchen to your table takes a long time. <br/><br/>Overall Verdict : Ming Yang is good for a special date with your special someone. 😍

I went here to celebrate my birthday with family, ambience is so amazing that I loved it very much and service is fab. <br/>When we asked for bill, they brought cake(as it was my birthday) as a compliment which is very surprising, for this I would thank a ton to Taj(Ming Yang).<br/>Overall absolutely amazing experience!!&hearts;️

Service needs to be more attentive. A little more improvement in the food would be great.<br/>Fish has to be more fresh. Had bad experience with fish twice. Otherwise food is good

We visited this place for dinner on Sunday.. The place was crowded after 8. Ambience was quite decent & classy, there was a huge dragon in middle dividing the section into 2- upper level & lower level. For sea view, you need to visit here in afternoon. We had ordered crispy chilli potato which was very delicious, ming yang chicken which very soft & less spicy, the quantity was huge. later we ordered pan fried noodles- it was bland, i didnt like it much. The staff told us that we can make something else for you which was very courteous. As it was my friend’s birthday they gave us a cake which was very delicious. Then we got a fortune cookie. The staff was really very good. Our total bill was Rs 3300. Overall we had a good experience..

Good service, a little pricey food and definitely not worth the type but they have some great dishes that are must try. Overall good experience and friendly staff and good atmosphere.

Birthday dinner at Ming Yang was indeed a right decision 😍<br/>Ming Yang serves authentic Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine in a serene ambience @tajlandsend <br/>Prawns tossed with crunchy garlic, chilli and spring onion 🤤<br/>The prawns were perfectly cooked just the way we’d love it♥️<br/>Another appetiser was their signature Ming Yang chicken <br/>The chicken was tender and sauteed with chilli, garlic and oyster sauce 🤤

Had lunch here today. Kimchi salad and steamed prawn hargao here is 10 on 10. And the chicken in Sichuan peppercorn is also too good.

During one of my stay here, visited Ming yang for a mid week dinner. Obviously it’s part of the Taj lands end and thus the expectation is extremely high. Following was my experience-<br/>Food - Ordered their prawns cheung fun ( This is prawns filled rolls, which is crispy and fried on the edge. Absolutely delicious! You need to pour the sauce on top and then relish this dish. <br/>The Har gow was also scrumptious, this is like chicken and water chestnut dumplings. It was very well made. <br/>The Hakka braised pork was not up to the mark though. I had given clear instructions that the pork has to be melt in the mouth kind succulent, however it was chewy. Though they got it remade. <br/>Cocktails- This place is fabulous when it comes to their cocktails. My personal favourite was their signature smoked Sancha cocktail (concoction of Sancha tea, has that smoky Sancha tea flavour combined with vodka etc.)<br/>The Beijing Bellini has litchi juice, little bit of white rum ( Just alright)<br/>I requested for a tamarind based cocktail, which they tried to make and it came out just alright.<br/>Customer service- The customer service of king yang is spot on. I love attention from the servers and I guess believes they did a great job. <br/>Ambience- Comfortable, spacious and airy <br/>Value for money- Expensive

We visited the place for our anniversary and it was perfect from the word go. The ambience is grand and regal with a silver dragon sculpture welcoming you into the restaurant. The waitstaff is attentive, well informed and polite. We had an array of appetisers like the edamame and truffle dimsums, triangular dimsums, stir fried water chestnuts and shitake mushrooms and the ming yang chicken. All mind blowing dishes that were delicious and visual delights. We also tried the cocktail 'before 1806' which was a lovely whiskey cocktail with a smoked essence. For dessert we ordered the chocolate mouse and I have never had a smoother preparatipn of this simple dish..the popcorn garnishing the dessert were just perfect to offset the chocolate of the dish. A must visit.

Service 0/5-really slow . Where’s the legendary Taj hospitality. This visit was a prefect example how staff can ruin the evening. There was no proactivity . We had point and ask for everything even cutlery. <br/>Food 4/5- This was the only saving of the evening but really the evening was disappointing. But yes the management did save on the fortune cookie by not serving us . Place not to be visited

A perfect place for a dinner date. Loved the hospitality & ambiance. The restaurant is famous for it’s Chinese dishes. One should definitely try their Chinese Tea, it’s their speciality. <br/><br/>Chef David who has done a great job on the food, specially towards the Szechuan style dishes.<br/>Don’t miss out on the desserts, this place has some interesting options in desserts. <br/><br/>Overall, this place packs a punch for all those who love Chinese cuisine & wanna experience some luxury dining.

Starters and Service impeccable. <br/>But I feel the main course is not for my palate. <br/>The staff is super courteous and go out of their way to accommodate ur needs. Big thumbs up to the service.

I enjoyed the dimsums and loved the ambience.<br/>Overall nice experience and would recommend a visit !!!!

They could lessen the amount of salt they use in their food . I would again like to add the impeccable service Ming Yang offers ! Keep it up

The food was good, and I was forced to eat pawns by someone. The triangular dim sum,the lo-han jui was something you all vegetarian should try.<br/>Everything was good but felt the service was a bit slow and everything was upto mark.

It was a great fine dining experience. The chicken was soft and succulent; the best I've ever had. Also, it was my grandmother's birthday and Ming Yang even got us the cake as a kind gesture. My grandmother was very happy and she really had a great time. Definitely a must visit place if you love good chinese food and a great atmosphere and service.

Went back here after almost 2 yrs and nothing has changed. The food was excellent. We had taken a set meal package from gourmetlicious. They served us (couple) a choice of soup, 3 starters, 2 main course with rice and 2 deserts. I avoided the dumplings since I don't like them and the quantity would have been huge anyways. The chicken hot and sour soup was the best I have had. The chicken starter and the crispy prawns were very very nice. The main course equally tasty and the spices were just right. Not too overbearing and not too mild either. We were served half portions, which were huge for each of us. The full portions are enough for 3 to 4 people. Yes, we ended up over eating but the experience was superb. We were served by Satyam and he was at his hospitable best, as you would expect from anyone at the Taj. Overall i recommend this place although it's slightly expensive, but for special occasions it is worth it.

Had an awesome experience having a good ambience, descent food & great hospitality. The view outside the restaurant was pleasing. The best part was there was no service charge added to the bill and also there was a complimentary pastry served by the staff as it was a birthday visit.

<br/><br/>Taj just like its name, bestows haute cuisines and curated menus around the year and I recently ventured one such designed menu for the month of August over a lunch with my friend. This curated August moon menu has kept me drooling over as I write my prodigious luncheon experience. <br/><br/> *Order* : We picked two dumplings from the August designed menu naming "Spicy vegetable dumpling" and " Pan fried chicken dumpling" along with " Hakka noodles with Sichuan chilli" and Diced chicken with dry red chili, Sichuan pepper from the main course menu.<br/><br/> *Presentation and taste* : It looked delicious to my eyes and I knew this opulent presentation will satiate my taste buds better and I wasn't wrong. To start with, both the dumplings ordered were cooked to perfection and were super soft, delicate and melting. Hakka noodles was equally good, it had no gravy and was much like a starter from the main course. Diced chicken on the other hand was fulfilling and had all the perfect flavours to tantalize my foody soul. This entire meal was light on appetite and I did not feel stuffed or heavy inspite of hogging enough. The quantity was great for two and we had to ask them to parcel over the rest.<br/><br/> *Ambience* : It was an old school ambience and nothing candy for the eyes. However, we were amused by great music which was playing in the background. It was trendy, groovy and thus added to the overall experience.<br/><br/> *Service* : They have highly impressive attendants who were well spoken gentle and always available. Good timely services and no waiting or delay encountered.<br/><br/> *Pros* : Great food with good quantity<br/> Curated menus<br/> Perfect service<br/> No waiting<br/> Worth the price<br/><br/> <br/><br/> *Overall experience* : Quite an amusing experience over lunch with chopsticks. Surplous food with lavish taste, curated menu, great staff and all that worthy.<br/><br/>If you have an eye and appetite for fine dine and sumptuous meals then do take a visit.

Was very excited to try very famous 5 star Chinese restaurant but it ended in disappointment.<br/>For appetizer we ordered Stir fried diced vegetables, it was served in lettuce leaves , presentation was very good but as soon as we tasted it didnt leave any impression.<br/>In main course we ordered Steamed tofu with Sichuan along with Burnt garlic fried rice.<br/>We also oredered Pan fried noodles along with exotic vegetables.<br/>In short , can recommend this place once in a lifetime visit but not a regular visit place<br/>The food and taste wasn’t anywhere close to what one can expect .<br/>To more disappointment was the service, everyone seemed to be running around but the service was very very very slow

Had a good experience with the chef taking good care of us<br/>Great food <br/>Great staff <br/>Good hospitality <br/>Great view <br/>Yet they brought all the food together <br/>So our plates were heaped with two starters <br/>Lotus stem and <br/>salt and pepper vegetables <br/>Plus Two mains <br/>Tofu in sauce and four Treasure vegetables in soy garlic sauce <br/>along with burnt garlic rice <br/>food is 5/5<br/>But by getting all the food together they deprived us of a great gastronomic experience <br/>Plus obviously the food was not hot enough<br/>Recommend this place but do remember to remind them not to get everything together

Wonderful place in the confinements of Taj Land’s End. Went her for dinner last night and called for Prawn cheung fun ( dimsums with soy sauce broth ), chicken in black bean sauce and hakka noodles with sizhuan chilli. Food was great all around, prawns being the standout. Service is good, but kinda slow. Prices are steep but understandle. Worth a bite

This is a Chinese cuisine delight located on Level 1 of the Taj Lands End hotel. We went here to celebrate my husband's birthday and had a delicious birthday lunch. The ambience is very relaxing and has a wonderful themed interior.<br/><br/>The champagne was a great pair with our dishes. We had ordered the Har Gaw which was 4 pieces of prawns, bamboo shoots and asparagus dumplings. A bit more bamboo shoot flavor would have been my personal modification. The Vegetable Fried Rice and Diced Chicken in Black Bean and Soy Sauce was scrumptious! The quantity was perfect for two. We ended with this creamy chocolate cake. Thanks for that one. Guess I had more than the birthday boy 😉 Great service as well.. would hopefully visit again.

Celebrated my fiance's birthday recently here & was very happy with the food & service by the management. A week prior bookings are very much recommended for this place. The interiors & ambiance are very beautiful & classy.<br/>Getting down to the food, we tried the Hakka Sui Mai dumplings; Prawns tossed with crunchy garlic, chilli & spring onion & Sichuan chicken with lantern chilli & spring onion. <br/>Loved the flavour & taste of all the appetizers but expected more quantity of dumplings as there were only 4 pieces.<br/>In drinks we ordered Since 1806 which was whisky based & had a lovely smoky flavour & after taste of a cuban cigar along with Shanghai Drift. While my fiance really enjoyed his whisky based drink, I on the other hand found the spices over powering my shanghai drift. <br/>This management was really very sweet to help us with a complimentary birthday cake for my fiance when i inquired about dessert & requested for writing happy birthday on the same. <br/>The restaurant makes for a great date night & even on a thursday night it was completely houseful, nonetheless if you are looking for a quite time with your family/partner then i wouldn't suggest it as it gets too noisy when the restaurant gets full. <br/>I however really enjoyed the food & service & will be going back for more.

Ambiance is exceptionally good.<br/>.<br/>Well the food tasted good, i wish the soup served could be more hot than just being warm.<br/>.<br/>Rest of the food tasted good, staff was helpful.<br/>Service was a bit slow.<br/>.<br/>Surely always worth going back to Ming Yang<br/>

There is no smoke without fire well had heard from folks this place ain't so good and you can give it a pass well now I know why !! Hey.. sadly it's not the food that's a put off but it's the service and miss management ..they are so busy but doing little but no work ! Coming to food bot bad we ordered some pan seared wontons and manchow soup and fried rice and for taj standard it was just okay! The one thing I did love was the sesame and honey tossed cashews they serve oh they were holy moly...to wrap it up it's not so great ! A lot of room for improvement considering the price you pay for !

An average experience for a 5 star hotel restaurant. Food average, staff experience average. Cannot handle the rush hours. Celebrating brother’s birthday and got a complimentary cake which was the only plus point.

So it was my moms bday. Taj lands end was always a place in my mind and we were fedup of eating north India food everywhere. So oriental Chinese ming yang was the option. Overall it was a typical 5star where the food will be fresh but taste wise we were veg so could have been better. The staff is amazing. Very helpful and worth one time visit

Best chicken lollipop is here pls visit once if u love non-veg food and wants to try new taste highly remanded my kids ate all when i just go for hand wash... My kids loved it <br/><br/>

The best vegetarian clear soup you can find! The food quality is very good. Staff is super courteous and you can see they have been trained well. I would strongly suggest going during the afternoon since evenings are super busy and the wait is quite long.
Supriya Rachel
Worst.chinese.ever. We had ordered ming yang chicken which was just boiled chicked tossed with a little bit of sauces (thanks to the table condiments that we could eat a bit of that) they we order a lamb dish, ugly aesthtics and worse taste. Rice were fine. <br/>Oh and the lemon coriander soup was so thick and bland, I expected clearer soup. I wouldn't even rate it one star but that was the lowest option. Chinese food is forever ruined. I want to run to a Chinese van and restore my taste.<br/>Update - The Hotel food director was nice enough to own it up, and tried to make it up to us after they read the review. But unfortunately, we had to fly the same day.

The best ever Cantonese food I have ever had. Was putting up at the Taj for 10 days in March, and the place had literally become home. Kudos to the Taj hospitality.<br/><br/>We had dinner at Ming Yang for 3 days , though definitely not on consecutive days.<br/><br/>The dimsums are to die for. This is a late review, and Frankly I have forgotten the names of the dishes we ordered, but trust me....everything was simply heavenly.<br/><br/>The decor is the best among all the restaurants The lands end property of the Taj houses. It's all grey , silver and crystal...very chic and classy decor.<br/><br/>The end of the meal is very innovative...they serve a fortune cookie and mine read something good, guess everyone's does...but the fortune cookie served was something new.<br/><br/>The place simply wins hands down in every aspect. 5 stars. Go for it .<br/><br/>

It was my birthday last week and my husband took me on a romantic evening to this beautiful restaurant MING YANG. All for my love for Chinese food!<br/><br/>We had a Warm welcome by the staff there and were escorted to our table. The interiors were so well lit & bright!<br/><br/>Ian was taking care of us. He gladly took our request of no MSG in any of our food items. But he made sure to inform us that the dimsums would have some amount of MSG in it.<br/><br/>My husband is not a Chinese food fan, but he didn't mind experimenting with me.<br/>So we ordered:<br/><br/>#TriangularDimsums<br/>It was very mildly flavored which enhanced the taste of water chestnuts and asparagus. Also what I really liked is that unlike other restaurants the outer covering was paper thin.<br/><br/>#CantoneseCottageCheese<br/>This particular dish is not on the menu. This was a chef special recommended by Ian. It was a little spicy for my taste buds as the flavor of schezwan sauce was strong. But for my husband it was perfect as he likes spicy.<br/><br/>#PanFriedNoodlesWithChefRecommendationOf<br/>A) Exotic Vegetables In "Black Bean Sauce"<br/>YES, the choice of sauce is not on the menu. It was again suggested by Ian and we went by his word and ordered. Trust me it didn't disappoint us. The outer portion was friend noodles and inner layer was soft with vegetables on the top.<br/><br/>& Then came THE BIG SURPRISE:<br/>My lovely Birthday Cake<br/>It was a chocolate cappuccino mousse cake.. extremely yummy and melts in your mouth.<br/><br/>& Last came my fortune cookie.. WHAT A BIRTHDAY!<br/><br/>All in all the experience was fantastic. The portion sizes is sufficient for two people! Ambience is bright and welcoming.<br/><br/>Thank You Ian and entire team of MING YANG for making my day so special!<br/><br/>I would definitely be back to try more of your dishes as the menu is vast and I love experimenting.

I can’t rate this below 1 otherwise I wouldn’t even give it one star. Took over an hour to serve food when served the food was ice cold. Wasn’t even allowed to use the Zomato gold cause we complained about the food. Manager Lokesh and server Ian

I abosultely love this restaurant. It's a usual for our family. The food is delicious (not authentic), the decor is beautiful and the service is top notch. If you are an Indian who likes Asian food, definitely worth a visit.

The food here is amazing especially if you are a lover of dimsums. Lotus root fritters are a must try if you love the burst of crisp fritters in your mouth. Honey noodles with ice cream is amazing. The staff is really slow but the food makes up for it!

Absolutely amazing and outstanding dine in experience, from the food to the service to the ambiance everything was just on point, we had ordered seafood n trust me it was the best I’ve had in a long long time...plus it was our 1st wedding anniversary we had been there to celebrate it, my husband approached to the staff there saying to get a surprise pastry for me to which he responded leave it on us Sir we shall mange n after dinner he got in for us a freshly baked pastry which was complimentary from their end.. we had a perfect evening looking forward to visit them again🙂

Never disappoints. Hot and sour soup was yum... as were the scrumptious Hakka noodles in Sichuan sauce. Quantity is enough for two. Haven’t tried the rice yet. But would like to know if they serve traditional Asian short grained rice which complements Asian rice dishes or the weird Indian basmati which just doesn’t go with fried rice. In my opinion basmati taste good only with pulao or biryani. If the management or a patron could let me know this, it would be great. Thanks!

Ming Yang had always been on my wishlist as it is located inside the Taj Land's End, but the occasion to visit came only recently. Counted among the best places for Chinese in the city, ITC Maratha's Pan Asian must have always been a formidable competitor for this restaurant.<br/><br/>The recent years, however, have also seen a series of up-market, stand-alone restaurants bursting onto the scene, particularly the internationally acclaimed ones.<br/><br/>Ming Yang now just needs to look next door, at the Michelin-starred place 'Yauatcha' in BKC, which is now clearly the most sought after place for Chinese.<br/><br/>I dont know what it is, whether it is the high benchmarks that are being set by other restaurants like Yauatcha or was it just a mistake in understanding what we were ordering, but somehow the experience didn't match the standards of Ming Yang's league of competitors.<br/><br/>I ordered my staple Hot and Sour soup, spring rolls and veggies as starters. In the olden days, I would'nt have found anything amiss, but having visited Yauatcha in recent years, Yauatcha indeed does it best.<br/><br/>I wanted assorted crispy veggies which are usually coated in a delectable sauce and when I asked for guidance from the steward, he recommended sichuan veggies with lantern chilli and spring onion. This dish turned out to be like a packet of dry chips. Instantly let down I informed the steward, who offered to make amendment. After some time, what he brought was a version of steamed veggies in a transparent sauce.<br/><br/>For the main course, I asked the steward to get a noodle dish that they make best, and he got the pan-fried ones with soya garlic sauce, and again I didn't find anything special with the taste or flavour.<br/><br/>There was a special Easy Diner free dessert per person offer for the 11.00 pm booking, so we ordered a chocolate mousse and cream cheesecake and again it was average.<br/><br/>So Ming Yang just needs to look at Yauatcha to reinvent itself as you can easily see that the creme of society are now regulars there, and have settled in their new go-to place for Chinese fare.<br/><br/>

Happened to visit the taj for my dad’s Birthday and the experience was a delight ! The ming yang chicken is a must order and so is the burnt garlic rice ... the crispy chicken was about ok, a tad bit salty ... but what was amazing is that we could here the live music from the lobby and the staff was a delight to speak to , their service was prompt and they surely did make my dad’s birthday -‘happy’ <br/>A nice place for a first date or a family dinner !

Went here on Anniversary. <br/><br/>Decor : Good. Lighting’s, furniture & statues have a good vibe. <br/><br/>Service : Prompt & Good. <br/><br/>We had ordered the Duck meal. Comprised of a starter (was ok), soup(good) and rice&duck portion (good) <br/>Duck was cooked well and it was still juicy. <br/><br/>For deserts we did not get the desert we wanted. <br/><br/>Overall a good experience. <br/>Given it overlooks the sea, probably better to come during brunch/ lunch time. <br/><br/>

Visited Ming Yang a couple of months ago to celebrate in a friend’s birthday. <br/>I wasn’t so impressed by the experience but overall we had a great time.<br/>The ambiance was spot on. It had a very authentic Chinese vibe to it. <br/>They served these chilli garlic cashews as appetisers which were really good!<br/><br/>The food we had:<br/>1. SOUP:<br/>a. Crabmeat, Scallop and Asparagus Soup:<br/>The soup was thick with a sweet flavour of crabmeat and scallops, which was quite average.<br/>b. Seaweed Lobster Soup:<br/>Although it was a clear soup, it tasted really good<br/><br/>2. MAIN COURSE:<br/>a. Lobster with Snow peas, Asparagus and fresh Shitake mushroom in XO Sauce:<br/>This dish was quite average and did not meet our expectations. The lobster chunks were too bland. It should have had more flavour to it.<br/>b. Pork:<br/>The pork was the best! It was perfectly cooked and had a rich flavour that enhanced our taste buds. Would definitely recommend it! I rate this 5 stars.<br/>c. Burnt Garlic Rice and Noodles<br/>The dishes were quite bland and we had to keep adding sauces to make them taste better.<br/><br/>3. DESSERT:<br/>As you can see in the picture, the Cheesecake looks quite tempting, but as we all tasted it, we were disappointed! It was a bit tasteless and dry, but at the same time it was not completely inedible either.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! The food was amazing and super delicious. Loved it!<br/>Satish was one of the staff member assistanting us and he did a great job. Thumbs up to him!
Ankit Agarwal
Great ambience, great service and decent food.<br/><br/>The dimsums were excellent while the fried spinach and crispy potatoes was decent. The fried rice and hakka noodles was average.<br/><br/>Nice place for an evening out though one could get better tasting food in other places in the city

Taj Ming Yang my forever favourite... NO More !! We are stuck in traffic and they’re great even though we are late by 25 min .We get seated and all is great, for some reason once we say Zomato gold we don’t get khimchi (all the tables around us have it so we wonder) , we don’t ask and staff don’t Carr I guess, we order a black bean chicken and they should name it ONLY THE SALT chicken as it’s loaded in salt (we complain very late and expected nothing in return as we are privileged to eat at a fine dining) then comes burnt garlic fried rice with almost no garlic , crispy spicy potato is perfect , mixed greens in hot garlic is good, spicy chicken some red sauce absolutely no flavour , we kept adding sauces to give it flavour and then we realise we can complain for one dish but when the restaurant has lots it’s charm what will we complain about ? Felt like Zomato Gold is too much for them and hence maybe the service changes ? Anyways I’m done with the TAj stuff and stick to our routine places where you get a 100% value for money with all the flavours and the hungry soul goes home content ... for now my hungry soul convinced itself with mango at home 😂😂😂

It was Birthday dinner last night at Ming Yang and I absolutely loved everything about this place. Classic Ambiance. Fabulous Food. Hospitality. Etiquette. Just everything about this place is top notch. Definitely a worth visit with family or for couples or even with your girl gang.

Took my mom for her 50th here and wasn't disappointed. They even gave us a free cake! Food was as per expectations and the Zomato gold was the icing on the cake!

A very pretty restaurant and extremely courteous staff.<br/>The quantity of every dish is supremely large (haven't tried any dimsums yet)<br/>2 dishes are more than enough for 2 people. Definitely worth a visit for mouth watering chinese. And of course the ambience of Taj is amazing!!<br/>We had<br/>Crispy friend pomfret 5/5<br/>Chilli mountain chicken 5/5<br/>Love the food and the place. Looking forward to visiting again!

Ming yang means bright sun and that's exactly what you realise upon entering the restaurant. It's bright white interiors! From white dragons hanging to plush upholstery, It all exudes elegance and gives a very royal feel.<br/><br/>The service, being Taj,was trademark excellent! It always feels good visiting any of the restaurants under the Taj hotels brand! They make you feel special every single time!<br/><br/>Following are the things that we tried:-<br/><br/>1)Ming yang corn soup with vegetables<br/>2)Triangular dimsum<br/>3)Vegetable siu Mai dimsum<br/>4)Golden corn kernels tossed with 5 Chinese spices<br/>5)Lotus root with sweet chilli dip<br/>6)Exotic vegetables in soy chilli garlic sauce<br/>7)Burnt garlic rice with vegetables<br/><br/>Everything was good and satisfactory. The flavours were on point except for the main curry which was very flat.<br/>Loved the corn kernels! The soup was dominated by cabbage which is unusual in a sweet corn soup.<br/><br/>We were pampered by their complimentary mousse cake as we were celebrating a birthday and it was oh so delicious! Thank you Taj for making our celebrations memorable!❤️

One of my favourite chinese places in Mumbai. Be it the simple yet delicious soups, soft and fragrant dimsums or spicy mains- this is one place my daughter and I both love <br/>

I think the Japanese cuisine could be upgraded. The udon noodles were wok tossed/fried and was more like hakka noodles. Just some edges need to be sharped with some refinement. Rest was an amazing experience, the staff was polite, the ambience was great!

We went there on our son's birthday. Enjoyed a lovely meal. The food here is so fresh. The spices are not over powering. The portion size were more than adequate. Believe me with Zomato Gold we had a satisfying meal at a price less than what other stand alone restaurants would charge. Would definitely recommend this lovely place.

Ming Yang requires no introduction. I expected to be delighted at first bite, and my expectations were succinctly met. The Zomato Gold was icing on the cake!

We went there for our anniversary celebration. We ordered the triangular dumpling and the sweet corn soup for appetiser and Cantonese fried rice for the main course. The dumpling were as authentic as it could get and I would go back for them for sure. The fried rice with a gravy of exotic veggies and black Bean sauce had a good texture and a good taste. The quantity was good for the two of us.<br/>The surprise was a complimentary cake towards the end. Thank you for the great gesture and the warmth.

Went over for lunch on a leisurely Saturday.<br/>We had missed our 1pm reservation, as we were running late, but they accommodated us nevertheless once we reached over there.<br/><br/>The food was exquisite, and the staff was very polite and soft spoken, which overall lead to an amazing experience.<br/><br/>We started off with a few drinks, some dumplings and spring roll, with pan fried noodles as main course, finally cheese cake & chocolate mousse and I cannot emphasis on this enough, never skip the desserts, they were that good!<br/><br/>- Vansh

Loved the ambience, the food, the service, the overall experience. I had gone there when my baby was just 5 months old and the staff was kind enough to give us a big corner table Incase I had to nurse my baby. The food was delicious and the portions are huge.

Ming Yang has been serving some of the finest Chinese dishes in the city for over years now. I’ve been visiting this place for almost 20 years and have always had a pleasant experience. <br/>We had:<br/><br/>1. The Kenyan beans which is a vegetarian appetiser and is absolutely yum! <br/>3. Prawn tossed with crunchy garlic, chilli and spring onion - delish!!<br/>4. Ming yang chicken - yum yum yum <br/>5. Lobster in butter garlic sauce - 😋<br/>6. Lemon coriander chicken soup<br/>Also, the chilli garlic cashews that they serve at the start of your meal is to die for. <br/><br/>A must visit for Chinese and Pan-Asian food lovers.

Had been to this place to celebrate my birthday. No complain about the food. I ordered a certain brand of beer on the menu and the waiter refused by saying that it's not in stock. A big let down from an establishment that prides itself on its reputation. Not sure why they kept it on the menu if they cannot have ample stocks. Ruined my experience. It's not a rare brand and the same was available at the local wine shop. Hope they have a re-order mechanism in place.
