Review Pan Asian - Mumbai

Atharva Bet
This is my second visit to the Pan Asian. I was craving some wonderful dimsums and what better place than Pan Asian at the Maratha in mumbai…Loved them all, extending special thanks to Chef Varun for making the lunch special for me. All the dim sums including the staple were cooked to perfection and had an amazing taste. The only one suggestion I can give is regarding the amount of finesse in presentation of dim sums and maybe service can be a little more involving from the server’s side. Except that, the restaurant has no flaws. It’s the prettiest restaurant in the hotel with amazing Chinese inspired decor, artefacts, paintings, a wine cellar, satellite kitchens and cozy alcoves everywhere. Chef Liang is undoubtedly the secret weapon of Pan Asian! I am very positive about the restaurant overall, it’s definitely expensive but worth visiting at least once to experience authentic Chinese fare. Culinary talent wise, I’d say this is the best in the city. Maybe in overall aspects I may prefer some other place, but Pan Asian again is one gem of a restaurant. With over 2 decades of maturity, I think they’ve learnt to get things right :) Would definitely go again for the fantastic dim sums..
Atharva Bet
Chef Liang & Chef Varun cook the best chinese in all of mumbai. Easily the best dim sums I ever had in the country. Identical to the ones served in michelin starred restaurants in Hong Kong/Singapore/London. This is culinary craft of the highest possible level. I highly recommend it to everyone! Maybe The Great Wall at The Leela Mumbai is also a fantastic alternative but there’s something else about Pan Asian which is significantly differentiating in a good way. Also I think it’s the prettiest restaurant at Maratha with live stations, artefacts and alcoves everywhere…

I recently had the pleasure of dining at PAN Asian, and I must say, it was an extraordinary culinary experience. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a stylish, contemporary ambiance that set the stage for an unforgettable evening. The menu at PAN Asian offers a delightful fusion of flavors from across the continent, and it's evident that the chefs possess a deep understanding of the nuances and techniques required to create authentic and mouthwatering dishes. The range of options available was impressive, catering to both adventurous palates and those seeking familiar favorites. The quality of the ingredients used was exceptional, resulting in dishes that were not only visually stunning but also bursting with flavor. Each bite was a harmonious symphony of tastes and textures, showcasing the chef's skillful execution. Whether it was the tangy Thai curries, the delicate sushi rolls, or the aromatic Indian spices, every dish was an absolute delight. What truly stood out at PAN Asian was the impeccable service. The staff members were knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they served. They took the time to explain the menu, make recommendations, and ensure that every guest's preferences and dietary restrictions were catered to. Their friendly demeanor and promptness added an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall dining experience. The restaurant itself exudes a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere, with thoughtfully arranged seating areas that allow for an intimate dining experience. The attention to detail in the decor and the overall ambiance created a sense of tranquility, making it the perfect place to unwind and savor a remarkable meal. In addition to the exceptional food and service, PAN Asian also offers an impressive beverage selection, including an extensive list of wines, craft cocktails, and Asian-inspired beverages. The carefully curated drink menu perfectly complements the flavors of the cuisine, further enhancing the dining experience.

Ambience is pretty amazing, it gives you chill vibes and perfect if you wanna have Japanese food. I personally loved their dimsum alot it had thin layering and they look.also quiet tempting.. For tge starters we had crispy lotus stem it has a medium spicy taste , highly recommended. For mocktails they don't have much options but you can try lemonade. For desserts they have only one option which is fried noodles with ice cream not a great fan of it, need.more options

We had lunch at Pan Asian earlier this week. The ambience is great..The staff is helpful and we went with their recommendations. Food was fantastic.. Sichuan chicken Soup, Prawn Tempura, and Sushi were all very good. Diced Chicken with red chillies and nuts is a must have..Fish in sweet and sour sauce was excellent. Pan Asian is the best place to serve your stomach with Asian chineese food. Not only chineese dishes like noodles and rice but it has also got shushi the one you get to eat only in Japan and China. The Architecture inside will really make you feel you are in china or Japan. The atmosphere there is suitable to experience another country while still sitting in India.

The Pan Asian restaurant inside the ITC Grand Maratha is a paradise for Chinese lover and also for the people you love to try top class scotch. From tequila shots to scotch to fish starters to chicken starter.<br/><br/>Main course to deserts all were just amazing. As a Chinese,I can tell in a very responsible way:this kind of quality can never match what they have charged. It can be told that the guest become fewer and fewer.

We're of the mindset that life's not worth living without dessert & as we ain't vegetarians but we are dessertarians!<br/>After a great meal we had gorgeous & multilayered dessert at ITC Maratha's Pan Asian .<br/>We were pleased by quality food & their quality service the plus point was that waiters never left a counter vacant..for meal they served Chinese cuisine and they had an delightfully rich range of desserts..<br/>Pan Asian food in Mumbai is dime a dozen and comes in all price range, from fancy to downright pocket-friendly. This is the beauty of Pan Asian food that its easily available to all, no matter how deep your pockets are. Pan Asian is renowned for its Chinese cuisine. Fair warning: this place is exorbitant and portion sizes are very large, so order wisely! The quality is service is great (as expected of a 5-star) and the ambience is interesting: with its live sushi counter. Happy place for a team event, but very little that sets it as a class apart.<br/><br/>Food recommended:<br/>Sushi platter<br/><br/>Ambience/décor: 8/10<br/>Service: 9/10<br/>Quality of food/drinks: 8/10<br/>VFM: 7/10

The Pan Asian has been the defining restaurant for my experience with Oriental Cuisine. Two things for me that have consistently stood out are the Quality of the Food, and the Quality of Service & Ambience. Being a hard-core fan of the ITC Restaurants, I would be very disappointed if it weren't there. In any case, my orders over the years have ranged from Pure Vegetarian fare to some chicken as well. But, they have done everything in their power to blow my mind apart. <br/>My recommendations are to try the Steamed Crystal Vegetable Dumplings, Tom Yum Phak Soup, and the Hot Pots (both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian) are to die for! Coupled with good wine, this can be a stellar experience for one and all.

Ordered spicy tuna maki which was a tad too spicy (based on what I’ve tried). The spicy sauce overpowered the delicate tuna. The pan seared lamb dumplings were good and well cooked! Accompaniments were nothing to rave about but made the experience. Service was fine, though my server didn’t seem to know the menu too well.

In India, very few restaurants offer you a Pan Asian experience which extends from the ambience to the food and one such gem is ITC Maratha’s ‘Pan Asian’ restaurant in Mumbai.<br/><br/>The interiors are such that they bring out the richness of different cultures. Our eyes instantly got captivated by the beautiful setting. We excitedly chose our table to try Pan Asian delicacies like Korean, Chinese, Mongolian, Japanese and Thai but first we got acquainted to Responsible Luxury initiative followed by ITC.<br/><br/>Do you know ITC is one of the few hotels in India which follows all the global parameters in meeting the needs of food safety in India. ITC Hotels also follow the Responsible Luxury initiative which covers the 4 parameters- Environment, People, Guest and Nation. The luxury experiences delivered at ITC Hotels do not in any way burden the environment or the society around us. In fact, it is aimed at creating a positive impact on both the community at large and the environment.<br/><br/>The first course of our meal was soup and the Tom Yum soup with Chicken graced our table. The chef said that it had a Thai inspiration but honestly, it was even tastier than the Tom Yum soups I have had in Thailand. The nutritious, warm soup had a great flavour and aroma.<br/><br/>The Pan-fried Chicken Dumplings had a generous chicken stuffing which extended a great taste. Chicken and Vegetable Tempura which the chef described as Japanese pakoda to understand the dish better was extremely different from the dishes I have had till date. The cornflour layer fried coating on chicken, capsicum and bell pepper was simply amazing! Loved this dish- MUST TRY!<br/><br/>In Mocktails, we tried the Crocodile Dundee which was a blend of fresh tropical fruits and nectar with a dash of raspberry syrup. A true refresher is what I would like to say. Fatal Attraction had a mix of lychees, curacao, lime and orange and was a sweet and citrus mix which made the mocktail unique.<br/><br/>Korean Barbeque Chicken was a kind of DIY and the manager came to our table to explain how to put everything together. Infront of us was Chicken, garlic, onion, sticky rice, lettuce and 2 kinds of kimchi – cabbage and radish! To add to our surprise was non-spicy chilly sauce as well. Everything put together gave a great flavour and made our tastebuds feel the joy!<br/><br/>For the main course, there was Fish in Black Bean Sauce, Bean Chilli Garlic, Basil Chicken, King Prawn in Thai Chili Sauce, Chicken & Egg Fried Rice and Singapore Rice Noodles with Chicken. Great flavours extended to a delightful experience! My favourite was the King Prawn in Thai Chilli Sauce and no one can beat ITC when it comes to procurement of prawns! The Prawns at ITC will always be the best!<br/><br/>Coming to one of my favourite sections- Desserts! We tried Green Tea Tiramisu and Valrhona Chocolate Marquis with Jasmine Tea Brulé. Both were heavenly but the Green Tea Tiramisu blew me off with the taste and the way it was made!<br/> <br/>It was an amazing culinary experience!

ITC Maratha has over 5 restaurants in Totality, and since we were in the mood for Japanese, we went for Pan Asian which is located on the ground floor amongst others. The ambience gives away an authentic Japanese feeling which is Bona Fide. For starters, we ordered for Hua Jiao Ji Ding, Teppenyaki- Manakatsuo Pomfret and Yang Rou Xian Bing which in layman’s terms are Pepper Chicken, Grilled Pomfret and “Beijing” Pancake with minced lamb, spring onions and five spiced powders respectively. The starters were all satisfactory and adequate. Since the starters were fullfilling, we called for only one Maincourse which was La-Mein: a Chinese Noodle Soup with all meats. The Dish was a bit bland for the Indian Taste Buds, so our waiter Lionel got us Cantonese Chilli Paste which made the dish bit spicier and tasty. After eating this, we felt quite heavy so lastly we went for one dessert which was the Baileys & Hazelnut Terrine which was a perfect blend of the scotch and the ice cream with cake. <br/>P.S We were served by Lionel Fernandes who had in-depth knowledge of the Menu and was very warm & courteous towards us, Appreciate him for that.

For a 5 star hotel, the service was pretty ordinary, needed to keep looking out to be served. Inflexible on minor food variations, and food is unlikely to be remembered for a next time.

Me and my folks went for our usual post Diwali <br/>dinner and decided to go to pan Asian. Been there a few times before for the Japanese food. <br/>They have some awesome awesome hotpot. Do try it out. Very good service. They take good care of the guests. Great staff. The server that took care of us was very nice (Uttam) <br/>

After so many months today I visited this Restaurant. I feel after Peshawari the Second Best Restaurant in ITC Maratha Sheraton Chakala is the Pan Asian. Pan Asian is a restaurant situated in the ITC Maratha Sheraton Chakala. It is a restaurant with Speciality in Cuisines like Thai, Japanese and Chinese. This has always been my Favorite Restaurant. The Staff of the Restaurant is very Courteous and Attentive. The Decor is Red in Colour. Just like the Chinese restaurants usually have. The open kitchen concept is very interesting. It is fun to watch the food being freshly cooked in front of you and meanwhile you can also have an interaction with the chef while your food is being prepared. As we had our drinks in the Bombay High Lounge. Our remaining drinks were being transferred to Pan Asian from there. So we directly started from the Starters for today's dinner. In the Starters we ordered for Chicken and Prawns Dimsums which are my all time favourite. The Chicken and Prawns were very juicy and the outer coating for the Dimsum was not very hard due to which the taste of the Dimsum enhanced all the more. After enjoying the Dimsums in the Main Course we ordered for a Mongolian Curry with Swedes and Fish Fillet and along with it we were recommended Lettuce and Burnt Garlic Rice. Both the Curry and rice complimented each other really well. With the Starters and Main Course we were so full that there was no space was Desserts. This Restaurant has always been special and favourite one for me. I will keep visiting it often. Please do visit if you have not. I am sure you have a memorable experience.<br/>

One of the best places to savour Chinese cuisine. It’s an expensive place but the food is value for money. Their staff is very welcoming and polite. Service is very fast. Had ordered prawns tempura and kung pao chicken for starters. Their taste is very peculiar and ever lasting. For main course their red Thai curry is atrociously delicious. Very rich in ingredients and taste, as creamy as it can get. Leave no loose ends in preparing the food. Serve with the Exceptional jasmine rice.

Went here a couple of months back. The place has a nice decor but the food really doesn't match up. The menu was quiet extensive and even though I dont quiet remember what we ordered but I do know that I don't remember the taste of any particular dish explicitly. The three stars are for the ever smiling servers, the service made up for the so-so food.

A program is launched called 1947 which as the name suggests is applicable only on 15th August . A call back is assured which never happens , which is surprising for such a big name . <br/>Call does come when one complains on Facebook . Reason is timings but someone just forget to switch off the program at the right time , which is not acceptable from such a brand . Maybe one needs to wait for next Independence Day to check if things have improved in ITC . One point for reactively acting and that’s it . Hopefully ITC learns from such a program.

Visited this place a couple of months back as I had heard really good reviews for the one in ITC Chola Chennai. <br/>No doubt the ambiance was great - sophisticated feel with decorative interiors. Also, the disciplined conduct of service was impressive as expected from any ITC restaurant. The server will do everything possible to make your experience awesome.<br/><br/>But, if you want to satisfy your taste buds, you can avoid coming here. Although the menu is abundant in multi-cuisine veg and non-veg dishes, they lacked that wow factor. The food taste was very ordinary, which was kind of not expected and utterly disappointing if you are an ardent food lover. We tried a few items but none of them was something that I can say I enjoyed. The server was nice enough to change a dish, but the substitute was also pretty much the same. I might want to give the benefit of the doubt - it might be my taste-buds issue. Btw, I like Asian food and have tried a few authentic ones.<br/><br/>Still, a decent place to spend Sunday evening.

Best food with very beautiful ambience...loved almost all dishes here .. crispy duck is something I would suggest to try because they prepare it with lovely ingredients.. specially if u r taking ur special one..this is the place to go.. service was pretty fast too 😊 loved the experience here

The Pan Asian is ofcourse the poor cousin in the all the restaurants which the hotel offers. The decor is nice and subdued and it has some very good and attentive staff at your service. They have a variety of set menu options to offer with a nice wine stock. The food is a bit of a let down and there is nothing specific and special that I could honestly mention off. Very average with little or no innovation. I think the best I could recall is the Thai curry and rice on offer. I did try the crispy lamb which was quite forgettable and ofcourse they need to work harder on their desert offers.

Food 4/5<br/>Ambiance 5/5<br/>Service 3/5<br/><br/>We stayed in ITC maratha for four days. Mostly we had our all meals at here only. Food was really good. But we have only one complaint with service only. <br/><br/><br/>Pls try to improve ur service.

Amazing experience. The food served to us was beyond comparison in taste and flavors. I love to visit once again and recommend to everyone and all of my friends.

Well unlike the hotel's Maratha architecture, this restaurant of ITC Maratha is a little different and doesn't have Maratha in it (not literally).<br/><br/>As you approach the restaurant, there is a beautiful aquarium that they have setup. At first we thought they had placed it to serve fresh fish as per the visitors choice but realised it was not. <br/><br/>You are greeted with a lady at the reception who escorts you to your table. This we observed as a standard practice in all their restaurants. The restaurant is pretty huge with ample space between tables; a rare thing in Mumbai restaurants and expensive realty. As you enter, there is a wine fridge to choose the wine of your choice. On one side they have a big bar to serve any drink of your choice. On the other side they have a large open kitchen where we can see our food getting cooked. They have another kitchen where there is a display of raw cut fish, I guess they prepare sushi there. In the centre again there is a third, teppanyaki kitchen which is open. These three are probably between Chinese, Thai and Japanese cuisines. A little turn off; their Korean Grill on your tables go not work despite having set up on tables.<br/><br/>We were a little confused on what to order when their Chef Shlok came to our rescue. He came, with his gentle and courteous demeanor, asked us a few questions about our preferences and suggested dishes. As we sipped our drink we were a little worried about what this young chef would serve us to eat. Trust me this son of a gun served us great food to meet not just our taste but also make our mood. We relished every morsel of the food he prepared for us. Trust me, we would have licked our fingers if we could. <br/><br/>I am sure they do have other good chefs but I would shout for Chef Shlok and would recommend the same.<br/><br/>Ah..... Missed it..... would recommend the Pan Asian also.<br/><br/>Guess Shlok's charm, we forgot about the restaurant..... ;-)

I just love the Thai food here, the chicken green Thai curry is amazing with jasmine rice. Also in Japanese cuisine you should definitely have the tempura it's amazing! The prawn dishes are amazing as well very fresh. And for the dessert nothing can beat the fried ice cream!

I had an absolutely wonderful time at this Restaurant. A visit to this place is a combination of experiencing Delicious tasting food coupled with a classy ambience and eating in style. The Stewards at the restaurant are very attentive and went out of their way to see that we got everything we wanted. If you go for their Sunday Brunch, they have a set menu and they bring to your table all the dishes on the menu. I, being allergic to shell fish had informed them and they were kind enough to get us a replacement for the shellfish dishes on the set menu. The Dimsums, Sushi and all the starters were absolutely delicious. For the non alcoholic brunch they have a choice of unlimited mocktails to choose from. The Main Course though, didn't look very interesting and hence I had to give it a miss and enjoy myself with the appetisers. The Dessert too was a disappointment as they just had a small platter with cold honey noodles, ice cream, a small piece of apple cake and fresh fruit. What I loved most about the place was the ambience and the courteousness of their Staff. For me, all this coupled  with the food is what makes an experience whole. Hence, a big 3/5 for Sunday brunch at Pan Asian.

We visited pan asian at ITC Maratha and i was blown away by their taste , presentation and ambiance. We tried hand pull noodles , dumplings and wonton soup. They had wen and wang food festival going on. Both the chefs are experts if you want an awesome place thats serve awesome food with great ambiance and service this is a must visit.

Food= 9.5/10<br/><br/>Value for money= 8/10<br/><br/>Ambiance= 9.5/10<br/><br/>Crowd= 9.5/10<br/><br/>A dumpling is a very simple to look at... yet very difficult to master. Same goes for hand pulled noodles. The Pan Asian definitely has some talented chefs that need no praise because their talent shows in their food. The presentation was like art on a plate. Just the though of the dumplings and noodles gets our mouth salivating. <br/><br/>When you are visiting a place like Pan Asian at the ITC Maratha you can be assured of great service great food and great ambience. So Everytime that I visit this place I do not have to think twice about what I order I know I will be getting the best. Recently I was there for the Wein and Wang food festival and I was surprised at how delicious a dumpling could be. I also tried the Chefs hand pulled noodles and they were outstanding. I have blogged about them on my YouTube channel called fans of food do check it out.<br/><br/>Balancing the stark difference in their culinary ways , Master Chefs Liu Wen and Wang Peng complement each other, much like Yin and yang, to conjure up a menu that showcases the finest facets of Chinese Gastronomy. Definitely one of the best places for Chinese in Mumbai. We can't wait to be there again. Compliments to the chefs! #PanAsian #ITCMAratha #MumbaiFoodblogger

Had an amazing time at Pan Asian this weekend and all thanks to chef Shloke. He made sure we tried the best of items from the menu and it was all so good. We tried the dimsum platter, sushi platter, the steamed fish - Sea Bass along with the fried ice cream. Staff is extremely warm and nice which automatically makes one comfortable. Big ups to Darren for taking care of us. Will definitely recommend everybody to go try it out for a quiet scrumptious meal. A fan of Pan Asian now. Thank you Shloke :)

There is a lot of variety from Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Korean & other Asian foods. <br/>Service is fantastic, never got an order wrong or delayed. A must visit to some delicious Asian food.

Had a good dining experience here. Salmon sashimi was delicious. We sat at the teppanyaki counter. Chef lyndon was very courteous. He never us a delicious fried rice to our liking. Prawns tasted great. Kung pao chicken was tender. Crystal prawn dumplings were good, however I would prefer more of the prawn filling in them. Dessert was toffee banana. I preferred the earlier decor theme. But all said and done, the staff makes you very comfortable and food is good.

I went their with my European colleagues for dinner here specially Teppanyaki in our mind. We even booked Teppanyaki counter for us on phone before going there. The food was served to us which was not made in front of us as it should be for any Teppanyaki concept. We were told each time that yes, the chef will be around soon to cook and serve us but that did not happen. So we spent all the evening sitting around Teppanyaki table but the food kept coming from the kitchen in some sort of joke on us. The taste of the food was below average and everything was served to us was cold to lukewarm which is a shame really. I had to complain many times their manager to finally come to us apologising. I quite did not understand his reason behind the disastrous dinner experience we had. They charged us finally for 1 person instead of 3 which was only the face saver as ITC food prices are particularly extravagant and I was not in any mood to pay these guys for our dinner which was cold below par and without any kind of service. I would never go to this place again. Having said that I am a big fan our their Dum Pukht and Kebeb&Kurry and will continue to visit this ITC establishment.

It is a unique destination serving five diverse Asian cuisines under one roof. The interiors are well decorated and the best part which I found was the open kitchen setting and the live barbecue and work stations . The salad is a must try , overall it was a great experience !

I ate here several times during my stay and every time was a great experience. Their steamed dumplings are perfect. The tempura vegetables are perfectly cooked with a crisp outside and soft inside. The chicken won ton soup is fragrant and loaded with wontons and vegetables. Every dish we have had here is outstanding. The staff are very attentive

Went there alone for lunch on sunday for my birthday as I was staying in the hotel. The ambience, food and service was excellent. I opted for the single person diner menu. The starters especially the nigiri sushi and crispy prawns were amazing. The Tom yum soup was super comforting and the red curry was one of the best I've ever had. Overall a very good restaurant and superb value for money! Would definitely recommend others to give this place a try.

We had come to Pan Asian for Christmas Eve dinner. Very honestly not the first choice as we tried going to our usual haunt - Ming Yang at Taj Lands End. But were we pleasantly surprised! <br/><br/>This was our first time here despite being regular patrons of ITC Maratha's other restaurants (in fact Dum Pukht is one of my favourites). <br/><br/>The ambience is beautiful with bamboo shoots and tones of red! I was pleasantly surprised to see teppanyaki table settings also - wonderful to see someone promoting this entertaining food art in Mumbai.<br/><br/>Anyway, we opted for a more quite table setting. We orders a tom yum prawn soup and their hot and sour - both fantastic. The Pork bao was perfectly made with the right amount of bread to filling ratio. The chicken Sui mai had a nice and different taste. Most importantly, it wasn't soggy. Still, the best dim sums will always be Yautcha.<br/><br/>For the mains - we opted for Singapore Chilli Crab since they were having a crab festival. Huge points for giving us a crab full of meat. And the sauce was stellar. Almost as good as Jumbo in Clarke Quay.<br/><br/>But the best part was service. Special mention to Ajay who took tremendous care of us. We had an infant with us and they were very sweet to get little treats for him.<br/><br/>All in all an evening well spent. Need to definitely come back to try their:<br/>Peking Duck<br/>Hot Pot (yup they have a provision for one in your table)<br/>Teppanyaki<br/><br/>Haven't come across a more diverse Asian restaurant in Mumbai.<br/><br/>I am knocking off half a point for their liquor collection. Surprised they did not have any Tsing Tao or Asahi beer in an Asian restaurant. Especially one with such a diverse menu.<br/><br/>But otherwise, definitely worth a gander!<br/><br/>

Brilliant spread, excellent taste and quality of food and great service. A true 5-star experience! One of my favorite places to eat. The best Asian food in the city, hands down. A foodie's paradise.

I was really looking forward to some good Japanese and Asian food. We ordered Sushi platter which was just about average. We have been to Wasabi in Taj earlier and though our expectations weren't that high for this restaurant but it was a little below what we expected. We asked our server to suggest something in Duck (anything Asian) however they weren't able to suggest or describe anything. We then had to settle for Thai lobster gravy and rice which honestly anywhere cheaper at the same quality. Service was good but they seemed to lack knowledge of food being served. Overall, it no value for money, there are many more better Asian food places in Mumbai.

The experience of having the most exquisite, fresh and authentic sushi as part of our starters just blew me away. As they say well begun is half done, in our case it made hungry for more for dinner last evening. The remainder of the food that we ordered and came to our table was served to us in a welcoming manner by the doting and friendly staff. Apart from the legendary ITC ambience, the restaurant has its own unique warm vibe, complimented by and effective exhaust and air conditioning which prevents any smoke and smells escaping the open kitchen. Aromas from your table remains with you and do not disturb the other patrons. A classy place serving fresh oriental cuisine minus the fish oil smell.

In the mood of oriental we decided to try Pan Asian. Despite no buffet we went ahead with this place as we have been to Peshwa Pavillion few times. Who knew that we were in for a sumptuous experience. The motifs, the bamboo shoots, the paper lanterns... overall the ambiance and the setting was breath taking. Like we travelled to the mystic oriental land. The rich and vibrant colour was a treat for the eyes. An open kitchen made us witness the masters at work, creating tantalising cuisine with expertise, like experienced craftsmen. The ever smiling server took us through the menu. We started with glass noodle salad, dumplings, crispy fried prawns and salmon maki. Every dish flavoured to perfection. Tom yum kai soup deserves a special mention. In the mains, steamed fish and pork basil were delicious. Thai chicken in red curry was great too. All the meats were as if cooked to the right degree, as they were tender and succulent. Accompanied with hakka noodles and burnt garlic fried rice, every morsel was a treat in itself. The dessert was crispy honey noodles with ice cream and red velvet cake. As we were walking out, we felt proud of our choice. To sum it up, a spectacular lunch, a wonderful experience and a must visit for oriental cuisine lovers! Thank you Team Pan Asian. Will surely visit again.

ITC Maratha Pan Asian restaurant is done in warm earth colours and vibrant red pillars, quintessential to the spirit of South East Asia with Chinese paper lamps along the open kitchen. Bamboo shoots and urns strategically placed at the entrance and other artifacts and motifs all across.<br/>It serves you a cozy seating, a lovely well stocked bar and delectable authentic cuisine from China, Japan, Korea, Mongolia and Thailand to go with. <br/><br/>We started with glass noodle salad, steamed chicken dumplings, crispy fried prawns, salmon maki and then moved to soups namely tom yum kai and hot and sour chicken each cooked to perfection.<br/><br/>In the mains we were served steamed fish, sliced pork in hot basil, thai chicken in red curry - the meat was succulent and cooked to the right degree of tenderness, rich in flavour and aroma accompanied with haka noodles and burnt garlic fried rice.<br/><br/>To wind up for dessert we crispy honey noodles with ice cream, fresh fruits and red velvet cake.<br/><br/>All in all a scrumptious Sunday brunch!

We went to this place as part of the restaurant week India. It was a memorable Sunday lunch with amazing food, peaceful ambience and pleasantly helpful service. We largely opted for non vegetarian part of the menu except mix vegetables sushi. As we were three, we could try almost all the items on non-veg menu. We found cumin lamb slightly bland. While all other items from starters and main course were great, chicken dumpling, kung pao chicken and sliced pork in basis sauce require special mention.Of the 2 deserts we tried, Baileys & Hazel nut terrine was ok, fried ice cream was definitely icing on the cake as they say!Service was very pleasant and helpful (as expected in these top restaurants). They went of the way to please my 4 year old son by offering him ice-cream, and cake off the menu.

Visited ITC Maratha yesterday under the restaurantweekindia program. We opted for lunch in Pan Asian. The entrance to the hotel is majestic, & the restaurant with its japanese n asian decor, bamboo sticks, sushi bar and couple of open live kitchens and courteous staff makes u feel so welcome. We ordered for hot and sour soup which was served with veg sushi and tasted very good. For starters we tried crispy vegetables in sichuan sauce and veg dumplings, both were great. For main course we ordered babycorn and waterchestnut in garlic sauce, veg noodles and rice. The waterchestnut was very well prepared although it had big pieces of tomato which we didnt appreciate much. The best part was the dessert. We ordered for baileys and hazelnut mousse and a dark chocolate dome shaped pastry as recommended by the staff. Both desserts are must try and satisfied our taste buds completely. Overall, great lunching experience!

Probably the best Asian cuisine in the city. I have visited the restaurant numerous times, and the quality has been excellent. I stayed over at the ITC just to have Peshawari's menu delivered to the room. But I do remember it was a close toss-up between the two. Pan Asian had a Teppanyaki  chef, and the performance food was totally worth it. Highly recommended.

Mouthwatering asian cuisine. Unlike any other restaurant I have ever been to. From succulent lamb to palatable momo and dim sums, the variety of mocktails and nectarous desserts served. It is safe to say I was craving for their food as soon as I got back home. Ambience is elite and classy. Service is impeccable and extremely kind waiters.

Sunday brunch is the best. The non-alcoholic brunch is for 2k per person, with a wide variety of choices, right from soups and starters to the main course and dessert.
Ronit Dhonde
The best place to enjoy intercontinental food. One can have various authentic Asian dishes like sushi , Thai curry , momos etc. The waiters are friendly and recommend good dishes. This place is a little high on the pocket but its totally worth it.

Met with my friends at Harman Professional India, the members of the Gypsy Sound Revolution (formerly known as the Gypsy Kings), Hamsika Iyer and Kaushal Inamdar for dinner a few days ago. Food always tastes better with great company but this time it wasn't just the company. This was truly delicious food, excellent mocktails (I don't drink) and great desserts. So good that I didn't bother taking photos until it came down to the dessert. We had a ton of things - Sushi, Chinese starters, noodles, fried rice, Thai food, wine and some fab desserts. The place looked incredible too and I have absolutely no complaints about this place. Totally recommend it if you want to have a special evening with special people.

Truly an amazing experience at this place!! Would say this place has the finest Dumplings to offer in Mumbai. We being vegetarians....they had alot to offer us may be more than non vegetarian menu which is very rare in pan Asian restaurant. The freshly made noodles melts in your mouth!<br/>The desserts here are all authentic Chinese and made eggless!<br/>From service to food everything was flawless.<br/>Going back here very soon.

One of the finest restaurants of Maratha Sheraton, serving pan Asian cuisine as the name says.<br/>Have Thai Korean Chinese n Japanese in menu.<br/>Fine dine, quiet spacious.<br/>Lot of veg options available.<br/>Had tofu with pepper well prepared.<br/>Okra with baby potatoes n basil was nice n juicy.<br/>Thai fried rice was well cooked n taste was nice <br/>California sushi was nice<br/>Portions are ok.<br/>Service is very good.<br/>

I loved the roasted duck!!! Please do try their roasted duck. I don't remember what the dish is called but they serve it with some flat bread in which you roll the meat along with pickle. I have also tried the sashimi, I didn't like it that much but it is because I am not a sashimi person, otherwise the taste seems very authentic. The mustard does send zings through your nostrils.

In one corner, behind a gleaming glass counter I can see an artist in a chef's hat rolling out sushi with precision and intense concentration that the art deserves. Right behind me, I can hear the sizzle and boom from the Teppanyaki counter - another Chef whipping up a dish with the theatrical flair that this Japanese form of cooking demands. The primary, open kitchen has an army of diligent chefs, painstakingly stir frying veggies, boiling noodles, or seasoning meat - all under the watchful eye of Commander and Head Chef Liang. There was so much to take in, so much to gaze around at, and so many cuisines to explore at the Pan Asian, at ITC Maratha. The ITC Maratha, has carved a niche in the Indian cuisine department, famous for the ITC kaali dal at the highly acclaimed Peshawri and Dum Pukht. Among the seven dining establishments that this sprawling five star property boasts of, the Pan Asian remains highly underrated and deserves a spot in the sun. The restaurant is 'Pan Asian' in the truest sense, with cuisines from China, Japan, Korea, Thailand and Malaysia on offer.

The restaurant is 'Pan Asian' in the truest sense, with cuisines from China, Japan, Korea, Thailand and Malaysia on offer.<br/><br/>The mark of a good sushi is good technique and good ingredients - the sushi at Pan Asian had both. A special sushi chef flown all the way from Japan to showcase his magic with the choicest and freshest of ingredients, made this course my personal favourite. Sashimi or slivers of thinly sliced tuna and cuttlefish swam along on our table with plump Nigiri rolls, interspersed with tiny morsels of wasabi and pickled ginger. The Fried Maki Rolls, a sushi-tempura hybrid is a signature dish at the restaurant, and one I'd highly recommend. A crunchy outside, with densely packed shrimp and sushi rice within, dunked in some soy - what's not to love?<br/><br/>Next up - soup and a trio of dimsums! The Tom Yum at the Pan Asian, is fragrant, hearty, spicy and sinus clearing - everything that a good Tom Yum should be. I am not much of a 'soup person' however, so like any good Parsi girl would, I ate up all the sunken chunks of prawn within. All three dimsums I tried - the Crystal Veg, Spicy Prawn Har Gow, and Chicken Sui Mai - were generously stuffed with an external coating that was neither rubbery nor soggy. The Prawn was a winner hands down when paired with the burnt chilli oil, with the bland vegetarian one being the least favourite. <br/><br/>A platter of barbequed pork belly, sauces, and Kimchi arrive on our table with Chef Liang by their side, who painstakingly assembled our Korean barbeque spread for us within a lettuce leaf envelope. A fairly common dish eaten back in Korea, the dish drew parallels with the Mexican taco because of it's appearance. The spicy fermented kimchi, paired with succulent pork belly, encased within a lettuce leaf made this quite a multi layered dish - one that I'm yet to find elsewhere in the city. The Five Spiced Crispy Duck - a Chinese dish close to chef's heart - was crisped to perfection. A duck version of Matt, George and Gary's beloved pork crackling is what I imagine it to be. We wrapped the duck in buttery soft savoury pancakes, drizzled them with hoisin sauce devoured them like no one was watching.<br/><br/>For mains, the delicate Sea Bass steamed to perfection, swimming in a simple soy broth stole my heart. The simple, clean flavours won my heart over with the fish being celebrated as the hero. For mains, we sampled a spread that was truly 'Pan Asian'. There was a red Thai curry with king prawns, an assorted stir fry of Chinese greens, and a Japanese chicken Teriyaki prepared for us Teppanyaki style. Stuffed to the brim, I couldn't help but devour this spread with good ol' egg fried rice by the side. The plate was truly a representation of the diverse Asian cuisines that the restaurant does, and does well!<br/><br/>The dessert platter at Pan Asian goes beyond 'honey noodles with ice cream' into an uncharted territory where sago and red bean paste make appearances. Gleaming sago crystals in sweet coconut milk, and beautifully presented exotic fruits lay on my platter. But the Red Bean Paste Pudding was a dish I really enjoyed. Red bean is commonly used in Chinese cooking where the beans are sweetened with honey and then used to make confectioneries. A different flavour profile indeed!

Really average food..I've been to the PAN Asian in delhi which is extraordinarily amazing..however this one in ITC grand Maratha mumbai was quite disappointing..the food was flavourless..however the California rolls were good and so was the guoba..apart from that everything was below average..

We've been to this place a few times before, including once during The Chef's Table. We have a good experience in the past. This review is about last night when we went there to have Sushi. The service was great as usual. Since it was a late dinner, it was quite peaceful with not many people around. 2 things that I want to mention are: 1. Don't order Sake. We ordered hot Sake which they serve in 30/60ml quantities. We ordered 30. We were surprised to see that the price for such a small quality was 1600!! Plus with liquor taxes, it turned out to be easily 1/3 of our bill. So probably it's not a good idea to order sake since its imported liquor acc to their bill. 2. We asked for massaman curry which wasn't on the menu. The guy who took our order hadn't heard this before but the chef got it- just the name that is. This curry is like red Thai curry but more flavourful and spicy. But this one neither had the colour or the spice. Seems like chef gave even the salt a skip. So yeah! Pretty mediocre affair last night. I'm not sure I want spend so much next time for an experience like this.

Another one of my favourite places for Asian food! Lovely ambience, superb selection of wines, and really good quality of food! They have a wonderful open kitchen plan, so if it's ur thing, u can sit and watch the chef make some stuff. Or u can get a nice little corner / niche to urself. They also have a PDR (private dining area) which can be booked on prior request and has a lovely round table. I have had different things on different occasions. Their fish in teriyaki sauce is lovely. So is the simple garlic fried rice. Veggies are all wholesome and fresh and flavours are subtle and authentic. A good place indeed. Again, it's not exactly pocket friendly being a 5 star, but then it's not ur average Udipi joint is it :)? U gotta pay for the place n the space and peace. U won't find noisy boisterous crowds here...

Pan asian restaurant <br/>Pan asian is a restaurant within ITC hotels known for its pan Asian delicacies. It has a beautiful ambience with superb service and fabulously lit up giving the asian vibes .India’s spoken destination for the most thrilling flavours from the Orient, Pan Asian takes you through a culinary journey of the region’s most loved cuisines. Savour the mysteries of Asia as you travel across the continent and explore your way through China, Japan and Thailand and indulge in fine eastern dining at its best.<br/><br/>Coming back to the food, we would like to recommend a few dishes which are as follows : <br/>- Chilli prawn dumpling: one of the best seafood dumpling ive eaten so far . They've managed it well through this dish to cater to the Indian taste pallete. The spicy chilli prawn was served with their signature schezwan dip .<br/><br/>- Baby potato with crispy milk ( personal favourite) : <br/>Soft baby potato fried and cooked to perfection topped with spicy bbq sauce , served with crispy milk a delicate, crispy snack with an unexpectedly warm custard- or mousse-like center complimented well with papaya salad which was a bit on the tangier side. <br/><br/><br/>- Non-veg sushi plate: one of the most perfect sushi's in town , fresh raw fish fabulously plated. Every type of sushi on that plate was so beautifully made . <br/><br/><br/>Thumbs up from team foodhangovermumbai.<br/><br/>INSTAGRAM & FACEBOOK handle : @foodhangovermumbai

Its my favourite place for Chinese - a cuisine I could eat , dream and think of all the time. <br/>Much has already been said about it being spacious, live kitchens and the variety of food , so let me just come to the food straight away. Yes it serves Japanese, Korean, Thai and of course Chinese. <br/>There is nothing that I have not liked here. The sushi is fresh, the soups light and yet full of flavour - whatever is supposed to be mild is mild and whatever is supposed to be spicy is spicy ... never too much sauce , never too dry, the meats are always moist inside and outside. The pan fried noodles is the food of the Gods and if you like pork try the spare ribs with a spicy sauce and fried noodles. You will go to heaven !! Desserts are very very good. <br/>The weekend buffet is expensive but totally worth it. There is so much food you will need to eat atleast 3 buffets to cover all the dishes.<br/><br/>Needless to say, the service is awesome !!! The people are almost invisible ... you are never waiting for someone, whenever you need something, someone has already noticed that and is getting it for you.

I can eat oriental food all round the clock & 365 days a year, that’s how I am crazy about it. When someone speaks about a place which serves some fabulous Oriental food, I just hop in. ITC has always been known for their food but only related to Indian Cuisine , but my recent visit to Pan Asian changed my thoughts about it. A restaurant which serves different oriental cuisines under one roof has an excellent ambience, service & food.  No doubt that they served some fabulous food but service was equally rather way better, every steward made sure we were kept informed about all the dishes served through out the meal, water was refilled when it was less than half, clearance was done properly after every course ended. This are the basics of serving on which you built rest of the things, and the servers lived up the expectations. Kudos!  Cost for 2 is 5000₹.

This are the basics of serving on which you built rest of the things, and the servers lived up the expectations. Kudos!  Cost for 2 is 5000₹.<br/><br/>They have recently launched their new menu keeping in mind the recent trends in food industry and we were invited to share the feedback about the same. We were served delicious 7 course meal, read more to know tits and bits of all the dishes served.<br/><br/>We started our meal with welcome drink which was Wine Spritzer, cut melon and plum in champagne glass topped up with sparkling wine. The combo with sweetness of melon, sourness of plum and fizzy effect of sparkling wine  worked so well that I gorged upon it till the time my food arrived. There were so much of talks happening around with new faces on the table but that didn't disturb me from enjoying this fabulous drink.<br/><br/>Course 1 - Assorted Sushi Platter<br/><br/>Sushi is very selective when it comes to satisfying taste buds. Everyone and anyone wont be able to acquire and match the flavour profile that it has. I love sushi & sashmi, so was looking forward to taste and experiment an excellent array of Sushi. A platter with four play of sushi & sashmi was served to us which had Salmon sashmi, scallop sashmi, maki roll and Nigiri sushi. Platter of sushi was served along with wasabi and soya sauce.<br/><br/>Course 2 -Chilli Prawn Dumpling<br/><br/>Next in the row was a platter of dumplings served along with sweet chilli sauce. First on the platter was Prawn dumpling, it had a very delicate flavour followed by the dominance of garlic. The dumpling had a base from Cantonese style of cooking with stuffing made up of prawns mince, herbs and little spiced with spices. It was placed on a bed of sliced pickled carrot & topped up with dry sauce made up of burnt garlic.<br/><br/>Crystal Vegetable Dumpling<br/><br/>The name of the dish didn't serve the purpose. The dumpling was less flavourful as compared to the earlier one, it didn't have its own flavour profile & it wouldn't taste good without Sweet chilli sauce. Yo can miss this dish when you visit this place.<br/><br/>Course 3 -Barbecue Pork Spare Ribs with Crispy Milk & Papaya Salad<br/><br/>This was the best dish of the day, only thing that went wrong was plating. I somehow feel it was little overdone, but the pork Spare Ribs was perfectly cooked till the meat was mouth melting. The surprise package was crispy milk that was nothing but condensed milk crumb fried till golden brown. As soon as I poped it in, it burst open making it something I never tried. The dish was perfectly balanced with each element having different taste profile.<br/><br/>Course 4 -Mix Seafood Soup Thai Style<br/><br/>A soup with mixture of prawns, scallops & vegetables flavored with Thai herbs like kaffir lime & lemon Grass. The soup was pretty much crowded with lot of ingredients used at the same time & the spice level was way to high which subdued other flavours. A little less of spice will take this soup to completely different level.<br/><br/>Course 5 -Steamed Sea Bass with Ginger & Spring Onion<br/><br/>Sea Bass has always been my favourite fish being very subtle in its taste and flavour, a pinch of salt and sauce by side would be the dish I would like to cherish forever. And to my Luck Pan Asian Chef had done the same thing, A simple steamed seasoned Sea bass steak placed on a bed of sauce made up of soya sauce, spring onion & coriander.<br/><br/>Course 6 - Curry with Rice<br/><br/>The lobster in Thai Red Curry had perfectly cooked lobster in very flavorful red curry. The lobster was not over cooked and the sauce went well along with the Fried sushi rice. The second dish was Stir Fried chicken in pickled chilli sauce which had juicy fried crispy chicken tossed in preserved chilli sauce with dominating flavour of garlic and chilli was bang on. As the chilli used was pickled & preserved it gave a completely different taste to the sauce and made it even more interesting. My taste buds went Ga Ga Ga Ga allover this one. This curries were served along with fried sushi rice which was on similar lines to the usual fried rice only the rice grains have been replaced with sushi rice. This rice preparation was little on a sticky rice which helped the curry to merge better & enjoy the flavour with combined effect.<br/><br/>Course 7 - Dessert<br/><br/>In Hindi movies it's always said "All stories have happy endings" likely our exciting meal was about to end, but we still had desserts to go and little more surprises to come. The dessert platter included 3 delicious desserts with a selection of cut fresh fruits, which is a tradition that all Chinese regions follow. The first dessert on the plate was Baileys & Hazelnut Terrine, it was similar to aerated mousse with smooth finish. As soon as you bite through the terrine would create  a layer on your tongue making your taste buds enjoy the after effect of the baileys & hazelnut. Red Bean is something which only selective people would prefer and was surprised to see that being used as the prime ingredient in next dessert , Red Bean Pudding. It just couldn't make me happy the way first dessert did so I wouldn't suggest it either. The next on the plate was Sago with Coconut which didn't seem interesting but as soon as I tried it, I kept my spoon down only after finishing the bowl spick and span.<br/><br/>"What a way to finish a proper 7 course meal with your tummy screaming no more and you taste buds screaming try more."<br/><br/>"P.S. - I wish I had my bed besides the dinning table"<br/><br/>Note<br/><br/>1.I was invited as a part of #kpl Team by Shilpa Chawla & Chinmoyee to taste and share feedback about the launch of their new menu.<br/><br/>2. “I just don’t want to look back and think – I could’ve eaten that”<br/><br/>My exact thoughts before I prepared myself for an evening dinner at Pan Asian at ITC Maratha, Mumbai.<br/><br/>I knew I was in for a treat, but what I didn’t know that I would be served a 7 course meal with 5 different countries!<br/>Pan Asian is a restaurant inside ITC which serves 5 different cuisines, namely, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Mongolian and Korean.<br/><br/>At entrance you are greeted with a table full of wines :D .. going further you see live kitchens for different cuisines with chefs cooking delicious treat which we were to devour later.<br/>We were greeted by our hosts for the evening – Mr. Prashant ( Sales and Marketing head at ITC) and his team. Our dinner was full of insights about the food, few laughs and a lot of fun!<br/><br/>We started our 7 course meal with a welcome drink, which was a WINE SPRITZER. Melon with wine made this quite a lovely start to our meal.<br/><br/>Amidst talks, introductions and gulping down this beautiful drink, sushi made way to the table. Now frankly, I have had some really bad experience with the delicacy, and this made me quite hesitant to try this one.<br/><br/>But I was quite surprised when I tried this. What a good way to be proven wrong that Sushi is not good. And moreover that VEG SUSHI can be delicious!<br/>Served with wasabi, pickled ginger and soya sauce, this was really a neat start.<br/><br/>Next up, were the dumplings. Over the time I have found myself liking these small pockets of awesomeness. They are healthy, you can experiment with the fillings and the sauces are always a plus point for me.<br/>From the kitchen came BOILED VEGETABLE DUMPLING WITH SPICY SOYA VINEGAR AND CRYSTAL VEG DUMPLING. The sauce was just lovely. Preferred the boiled veg dumpling over the crystal one, but it was food for soul!<br/>P.S I wanted more :P<br/><br/>The 3rd course was a surprise, literally, because it read as – BABY POTATO IN BARBECUE SAUCE WITH CRISPY MILK AND PAPAYA SALAD.<br/>The crispy milk part got me intrigued and I was looking forward to this one. Once it was served, I was trying to figure out how the hell did they fry milk!<br/>Well, my answer came when I took a bite of it. Condensed milk. Smart!<br/>The baby potato in barbecue sauce was good, but it was the crispy milk and papaya salad that got me licking my fingers.<br/><br/>In between, to cleanse our palate, we were served Jasmine tea. The aroma was very soothing, but because I’m not a fan of teas, maybe I couldn’t appreciate this one.<br/><br/>Our 4th course was a soup, spicy Thai soup. One word that comes to my mind when I think about this dish – Spicy.<br/>The MIX VEGETABLE SOUP THAI STYLE was loaded with veggies and also they went an extra mile with the hotness as well. And because of that hotness, it became difficult for me to judge this one. Maybe I cannot handle so much, hence I couldn’t find this one according to my taste.<br/><br/>Moving on, we were served our next course, which was STEAMED BEAN CURD WITH GINGER AND SPRING ONION.<br/>Dishes like these which prove that simple things can be so delicious! Steamed bean curd with a soya dressing and topped with ginger and spring onion. 5 seconds later, it was gone! :)<br/><br/>Our 6th course was a plateful, and quite literally!<br/>They were – VEGETABLE FRIED SUSHI RICE WITH GARLIC and it was accompanies with STIR FRIED CHINESE GREENS, STIR FRIED VEGGIES IN HOMEMADE CHILLI SAUCE and SAUTEED MUSHROOMS.<br/>While the rice and the veggies in homemade chilli sauce made a killer combo and the stir fried veggies added the much needed freshness, it was the mushrooms which I thought were not required. Remove those, and I would be happy to have that plate again.<br/><br/>P.S The chilli sauce was quite good actually!<br/><br/>The last and final course, which in my opinion should always be the first course as well- Desserts! :P<br/>We were served BAILEYS & HAZELNUT TERRINE, RED BEAN PUDDING and SAGO WITH COCONUT MILK and also fresh cut fruits.<br/>The Bailey and Hazelnut terrine was the bomb of a dessert. Licked it clean in under a minute. While the red bean pudding was not something as per my liking and I avoided it, the sago with coconut milk was a surprise. I tasted it with a little reluctance and I finished it off with a smile. So Good!<br/><br/>The experience was royal, the food spectacular and the service, well, wonderful and flawless.<br/>Would I be going there again? Yes! With so many cuisines to choose from under a single roof, why not!<br/><br/>P.S This is not the entire menu. It was a part of the Bloggers menu

‘Restaurant In A Kitchen And Kitchen In A Restaurant’ - No this is not some puzzle leading you to some coveted prize but the core ideology of Pan-Asian,ITC Maratha. The a newly revamped Pan Asian makes sure your dining experience isn't just about the food, but also about the impeccable service, the decor which is inspired by the 5 cuisines that fall under the umbrella that is the Pan Asian cuisine.<br/><br/><br/>The first thing that you see as you enter Pan Asian is the live kitchen. Chefs are hard at work trying to cook that perfect meal for you, nailing the authentic flavours while creating something that is nothing short of art on a plate.<br/><br/><br/>We were in for an 8 course meal specially curated for a bloggers’ meet.<br/><br/><br/>From the Land Of Rising Sun<br/><br/><br/>No prize for guessing where this dish is from or what the dish is. Mixed Vegetable Sushi with soy sauce, wasabi and pickled ginger. Two different types of sushi , one Nigiri, which is where the veggies are on top of the rice roll and the other Makisuzhi wherein the veggies are inside the rice and nori roll.<br/><br/><br/>From the Steaming Pot<br/><br/><br/>A rectangular plate is kept in front of us, two soup spoons, one black and one white, one has the crystal dumplings, the other boiled vegetable with spicy soya vinegar. What resembling an yIn and yang of dumplings in front of me. Crystal dumplings were the simple, plain flavours while the boiled vegetables dumplings with spicy soya vinegar were the punch ,flavours all in your face dumplings.<br/><br/><br/>The Express Wok<br/><br/><br/>Baby Potato in Barbeque Sauce with crispy milk and Papaya Salad. The show stopper was the crispy milk, something I'd never heard before and my brain refused to comprehend the existence of such a food item until I saw it in front of me and after digging into it, it's your condensed milk fried , something still unusual and yet so delicious my heart and brain were satisfied at the end of this course.<br/><br/><br/>The Tureen brings<br/><br/><br/>Mixed vegetable Thai style soup brought in a Tureen, which also brought a fair amount of spice, tangyness and a punch of flavour you generally don't associate with Pan Asian cuisine.<br/><br/><br/>Steamed Bean Curd<br/><br/><br/>Steamed Bean Curd with ginger and spring onion . Silken tofu which cuts like melted butter, the sauce its submerged in,cooked with perfect balance of garlic and spring onions .<br/><br/><br/>Mains<br/><br/><br/>Sushi rice served with Thai red curry, vegetables in chilli sauce and stir fried Chinese greens.<br/><br/>Each of the components / curries were cooked to a t. The Thai curry had its authentic taste intact, vegetables in chili sauce was moderately spicy and the Chinese greens had a subtle garlic flavour coming through it which really impressed me.<br/><br/><br/>For the sweet toot<br/><br/><br/>Baileys and hazelnut terrine, red bean pudding and sago with coconut meal. Dessert can make or break an otherwise average or excellent meal. This dessert however, the cherry on top to a culinary delight that was Pan Asian. The terrine was well set, the plate decorated with fresh cut fruits, baileys which held up its reputation, something new we tried were the Sago with coconut milk. Sago are tapioca like balls and when served with coconut milk,it had a good sweetness to it which was definitely a successful experiment on my end ,having tasted them for the first time.<br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>5 cuisines under one what is both the literal and metaphorical umbrella called Pan Asian ,which rest assured give you an experience like no other with its courteous staff, culinary orgasm inducing food and interiors which are Asian inspired and maintain a style and class that you’d expect from a restaurant like Pan Asian, ITC Maratha.<br/><br/><br/>Until Next Time

Great food and service. <br/><br/>Have been to Pan Asian a couple of times. They have got a large place for seating and that's comfortable too. <br/><br/>I had a chicken soup along with a fish starter and both were great. The fish was fantastic and well marinated. <br/><br/>For the mains we ordered the Korean bulgogi. More than perfect. We had the chicken on fire on the table itself and were served the add ons beside. <br/><br/>Nice place!

It was a impromptu decision for family to go out and have Asian food on New Year eve and we landed up at ITC, overall the food was good but nothing much to write as i struggled for a week to come up with something but nothing striking came to mind; overall service is good, nice ambience we had a good conversation and best of all its cheaper than most of the entries in BKC...hmmmmm...see still struggling to write

To me the best Pan Asian cuisine restaurant in the country. The service is fantastic, the food is of the kind that one can't have enough and the place is very close to the International airport!

The food is very good and the service matches up. There is a decent variety of vegetarian food available and they are willing to modify it to according to your like. The pan fried noodles are not to be missed.

This is one restaurant that I always have my eyes on, when I'm craving Asian food. Located in the far end corner of ITC Grand Maratha, it serves brilliant pan Asian food and I've never been disappointed here. The ambience is inviting and its fun to watch the Teppanyaki. The green Thai curry is my personal favourite. Though the place is a little heavy on the pocket, it is a must try for Asian food lovers.

No matter what the ITC group does when it comes to food. It's always the best. The run he finest kitchen across all five stars in India. And the Pan Asian at the ITC Maratha is no less.

Went here last week for the Sunday brunch after a a couple of years. The concept has changed totally, the lavish and very popular buffet spread is replaced by a set meal of sorts (of sort because it comes with 4 appetizers, 3 choices of soup, 4 mains & 3 rice /noodles in addition to dessert so it's a bit larger than your average set meal). In a nutshell I think that they have gone for quality over quantity, while I used to haunt the place I did think the standards were clearly going down which is why I had stopped going.<br/><br/>Most notably the sushi which tasted like it came out of a can was replaced by the real thing. They didn't have tuna unfortunately though it is in the menu but the salmon was really good. Also the chicken in lemongrass was great; tender, perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection. Among the other appetizers the fish was highly ok and the dumplings were a mess. Two hits and two flops...<br/><br/>The soup was OK but the mains shone through. We didn't have the entire spread as we were full but the Thai red curry was excellent, almost as good as the Thai Pavilion which is saying something, as was the grilled fish. Noodles were good but marginally bland. Desserts again were great. At 2 grand without alcohol I think it's a very reasonable deal given the place. Recommended

It's expensive,a lot more than what you thought it would be,but if you're willing to shell out some good moneys, then yeah, this is one apt place for a nice meal or a celebration.

This was my first time at Pan Asian and the experience was just ok. <br/>It was Friday lunch time and we decided to go for asian food at ITC Grand Maratha. <br/><br/>Food (2.5/5): Starter (1/5)- We ordered khimchi, raw papaya salad, soup and momos. Out of these soup was good and momos were ok. The other things were not up to the mark and not good. The complimentary pickled salad and Indian chakna were good. Main course (3/5)- We ordered pan fried noodles, thai green curry and rice. All were good. Dessert (3/5)- Mango Pudding and ice cream were ok.<br/><br/>Service (3.5/5)- Saving grace was the service I guess<br/><br/>Value for money (2/5)- If you eat at a five star you do expect a big bill that too when you order all three courses. However, the food was not at all worth the money.<br/><br/>Overall not a good experience!

I came pretty late.. The grand entrance to ITC Maratha was worth the go.. I had certain cravings for Asian food so went ahead to this restaurant.. Tried chicken tempura, chicken salt and pepper, sushi for appetisers. All were pretty good.. And kept it light for the main course.. Had thai chicken curry and egg fried rice.. The curry was delicious.. For desert we had coconut stuffed pan cakes with vanilla ice cream which was satisfactory.. Was a good experience over all ?

Food quality is going downhill. Not upto the international standard and does not match up to its price. Not expect this from An ITC restaurant.

Even for vegetarians it's a great place to try authentic Chinese food, they have HotPot in their menu which is a must try...even sushi, noodles are good..

While the food is good, the service is below expectations. It has an open kitchen - open kitchens require a high level of disciplined working by the chefs and the stewards. The stewards were very amateurish and were running around like in a Udipi restaurant. Overall, it appeared a bit uncoordinated. iTC should work a lot more on improving the service levels at this restaurant

Quite a classy and a quiet place . It has live counter where the Asian female prepares the delicacies . Not so impressed with the food for what I paid .

Remember it being a lot better for Sunday brunch..the fact that ITC charged us twice, and took almost two months to refund our money didn't help either!

♧If one is looking for a classy evening dinner; this is the place. Every bit of the piece portrays class and serenity. <br/>Food quality : I would rate a full 5 on the quality of food; amazingly tantalising your taste buds would be an understatement. The aroma adds to the value. Korean glass noodles with a basil based join gravy made the day.<br/>Ambience : would rate 4.5. Better than many ; great for people who like clicking pics around <br/>Hospitality: would rate a 4.5 here as well; very helpful and extremely suggestive staff; matches the standard<br/>Value for money: would rate a 3.5 here if you looking for quantity ; but if one values enjoying a special taste for the tongue and not for the stomach; you may rate a 4.5<br/><br/>Special note: A perfect place for a very special evening. Jain food available at no compromise to taste.♧

One of the best places for asian food, it was my dads birthday and wanted to gofor Thai cuisine. I had heard about pan Asian food a lot and now I am happy that we a had the best meal. The service and the hospitality was amazing. We had ordered for Vegetable Fried Rice With Hot Basil And Chili Paste,Mixed Vegetable In Three Flavoured Thai Sauce, Mongolian Fried Noodles With Vegetable & Chocolate Mousse . The food was mesmerising and very well cooked with proper flavours and taste. Our last dish of the meal was the showstopper chocolate mousse was to die for. I still can't get over it, the chocolate mousse.

I found out about Pan Asian accidentally when I was dining at the opposite restaurant (Dakshin coastal). For some reasons it seems not very popular in Zomato, probably because it's a little far compared to places in town and Bandra. I'm so glad to have found it though - everything I had there was beyond excellence!!<br/>It covers so many asian cuisines that I had a hard time making decisions. I had veg dumplings and prawn dumplings with crispy chili garlic, some really nice soft tofu, stir fried vegetable Mongolian way, teppanyaki lobster and tenderloin. Geez as an Asian who has lived in many places around the world, I found these dishes cooked to perfection and very true to asian tastes. Everything from seasoning to skills is just right. The restaurant also has many asian chefs and I had good conversations with the main chinese chef :)<br/>So pleased with everything from Pan Asian. I will have to come back!

Raw papaya salad was good. Pad Thai was ok ok. Thai curry - green wz chicken was above average. Duck pancake was sad. <br/>Service was not impressive. <br/>Price was killer;-). Not value for money. Would have given 3 only if it was better value for money.

Classy food is what i am going to say..simply because we are not concentrating on the quantity here but the quality..i wouldnt come here to fill up but to taste amazing dishes even though i am not much of a seafood person but i would suggest this place any special day..:

The Pan Asian experience has always been for special occasions. Being a special day, this has to be the obvious choice and we were looking forward to the their famous Sunday brunch but they've now changed the format to a set menu. A little disappointing but hey the experience was still great! <br/><br/>The service is nice with a warm touch. I will keep returning here over and over again!

Loved their tum yum and papaya salad. The bibimbap was ok. I think they are trying to do a decent job with the food. But not quite there. He ambience is really nice. The salad portion was HUGE! But they were kind enough to not charge me for it. By the time I got done Witt salad and soup, I was so full. <br/><br/>I wouldn't quite visit again for some time. The staff and chef are damn sweet! But eh food needs to move up a couple of notches.
Rajesh Jumani
Been here several times and the food never disappoints us. Their Thai green curry is fantastic (veg and chicken) and they make their sticky rice just like you would get in Thailand. Miki prompfret is with a nice black bean type sauce and goes well with their Thai spicy rice. They do good Teppanyaki and Shushi too. They stir fried veggies with water chestnuts is a must for the vegetarians.

It's a shame that I had to rate my all time favorite restaurant this low.. But this is the case with pan Asian now, I've been a regular since at least 6 years now.. But this has degraded in food and quality.. Drinks were good, starters were bad..<br/><br/>

Simply Amazing Experience. Have to say this is true from the very moment we entered the main lobby, till we exited!! Pan Asian is a must visit if you are looking to taste some very authentic preparations from S&SE Asia!<br/><br/>Having tried some very exciting Spanish cuisine a week back, we were eager to try something on the other side of the continent. After much checking and debate, we agreed on Pan Asian at ITC Maratha, Andheri, Sahar.<br/><br/>Finally chose to go with for Korean flavor. Having no clue on what's good, we asked the Steward for suggestions. We were recommended to go for a traditional Korean Dish, which has Meat pieces (Lamb), Sticky Rice, Korean Hot Sauce (tomato & other spices), Saute Garlic, Mushroom, Lettuce Leaf. My Friend did a video on how to actually put all the components together and have it like a sandwich. :)<br/>Have to say, we were blown away after the first bite! Perfect taste and one serving was good enough to fill us both up!<br/><br/>Ambiance: 5/5 - Superb seating options with choice of live counters<br/>Service: 5/5 - Exceptional Recommendations and Walk through by our steward<br/>Cost: 4/5 - Kinda heavy on the wallet, but well worth it<br/>Food: Amazing and Authentic

I could have spent lesser and had some better tasting food in a local asian joint.<br/><br/>When it first opened, Pan Asian was one of the most aspiring asian restaurants in town. I remember about 7 years back, it was just amazing. But I guess with time, it's lost it authenticity of asian-ness, which is NOT something I would expect from any ITC restaurant. Peshawari for example is still simply superb, rather it gets better everytime.<br/><br/>I was there last night (3 Nov 2014) and I thought the food was just ok. Here is a quick look at my meal:<br/><br/>1 Mangolian Noodles<br/>This was like a wok. Noodles tossed in some sauce with some veggies. When they first served it, it was cold. The staff was really nice and got it fixed immediately.<br/><br/>1 Chicken Bibimbap<br/>This was pretty much what I expected. It didn't blow me away. But it's nice when it's really really hot. It comes in a claypot with sticky rice, veggies and stir fried chicken.<br/><br/>1 Mauii Fizz (Mocktail)<br/>In other words a simple pinacolada<br/><br/>1 Manhattan (Cocktail)<br/>Simply amazing. A must try!<br/><br/>For these 4 I paid 4500. We were 2 of us. Regular 5 star pricing but I could have paid probably lesser than half of this and enjoyed a tastier meal at Mamagotto!!<br/><br/>Decor-wise, this place is insane! Go there just to see it. I am an avid ITC goer but this was a let down hence just 3/5.

Had veg Mongolian noodles.<br/><br/>I found it to dry. Didn't impress <br/><br/>

A grand ambiance with flowing music to suit your long evenings. ITS Maratha's Pan Asian restaurant serves you a cosy seating with delicious food. Bar of all varieties, of course, and platter of veg / non veg food to go with. <br/><br/>Food is not outstandingly delicious but it is good. I think if you're mostly interested in ambiance, drinks and privacy, you can opt for this one. <br/><br/>Overall experience : Good! Funnily, unlike all other times, for this one I don't have pictures to post, guess I was too busy chatting away with my friend :)
