🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Just had the pleasure of experiencing the Sunday brunch buffet at Pondicherry Cafe in Bandra Sofitel, bkc, and I must say, it was an exquisite culinary journey! As a food blogger, I've witnessed many spreads, but this surpassed expectations. 🌏 Each dish was not just a treat to the taste buds but a visual masterpiece as well. The artful presentation of the food added to the entire ambiance. 🍣 The Asian section, especially the sushi, was meticulously crafted with fresh ingredients, resembling edible art. The Indian selection, with classics like biryani, various paneer dishes and indian curries, took me on a nostalgic trip while dazzling with its presentation. 🍛 The live chaat and noodles counters ensured freshly made, piping hot dishes with options to choose from flat noodles to spaghetti. For cheese aficionados, the cheese boards were both a delight to the eyes and the palate with fresh fruits to go with it. 🧀 🍹 The cocktails and mocktails were not only refreshing but also presented with a finesse that made them photo-worthy. Dessert was a symphony of colors and tastes. It has a good ambience. The buffet spread is good. The service also is good. There is a good variety of dishes. The Chinese food momos, noodles, starters tastes good. Thai curry also was yummy. The dessert section is quite good. The waffles with maple syrup and ice cream was delicious. Variety of cakes and Indian sweets were lovely. Even the Pan (beetle leaf) chat variety was very tasty. I had it for the first time. One has the option to sit in the garden for eating. It is quite conveniently located in BKC.

Came here yesterday for a Sunday brunch with my family and I absolutely loved it We are a family of five adult and a kid and the buffet caters to everyone's likes and taste. From salad, to sushi to grills to live Appam counter to lobsters to pork chops we ate everything and liked everything They have a mascot roaming around which keep the kids busy also they have a bar and a kids section were my little one was occupied and we could enjoy our meal. I have been coming to Sofitel for years now and pre 2018 the buffet spread was really nice classy and was worth the indulgence but now finally after a good 5 years can I say they are back with a bang. The food and the desserts where really yummy. The service is back to its very best shout out for Tanmoy , Tushar and Gaurav. They really made the evening special. Keep that going chefs.

I called the hotel for reservations for buffet as it was my wife's birthday, due to some reasons the restaurant has closed buffet and as an Accor member I wanted to use their Accor voucher, so I requested the manager to accommodate a set menu as they don't have buffet and validate the voucher. I was been told that he'll check and call me back, it's been a day now but there is no call or update, I called back again for the same query and apparently the manager is not around and no service record is mentioned. Sofitel is known for experience and exceptional service and here it's the worst experience ever.

We had visited Pondicherry Cafe recently and several times before also for Buffet Dinner or Lunch. The spread is just awesome. A special inclusion is the Dimsums which is not available in most of the Buffets in many other Hotels. Desserts are very special and definitely better than many other Buffets in the town. Icecream is from London Dairy. Fortunately we met Mr. Tanmay from Sofitel Team who is from Kolkata and we shared many talks in our mother tongue. He had taken a special care during our dinner which made it more memorable. We will definitely come again.

Had a really bad experience with the hospitality of the so called famous Pondocherry Cafe in Sofitel. I had booked a table for my mom dad’s anniversary. Had done the booking through nearbuy. Just to make it special for my parents, i had asked the hotel if they can arrange a cake, a bouquet, decorate the table, have a song played for them. I was ready to pay extra. But alas! Such a great restaurant and there is no way to pay online. They wanted me to come all the way to their restaurant to pay. I had to the cancel the specials but still sent my parents for the lunch at the restaurant to enjoy their time. The staff at sofitel placed a bouquet for my parents at the table. No one gave it to them. It was just placed on the table. No decoration. No cake and no special music and at the end of the lunch, they charge my parents INR 2000 extra after the nearbuy voucher for the so called specials which no one had asked for! You guys ruined the lunch i had planned for them. If making money is the only business you guys want to be in, atleast try not to play with people’s feelings.

To summarise, a horrible experience. We had gone for a dinner for a friend's birthday. Ordered nachos and paneer shashlik to start with. Nachos were absolutely soggy and made from 'Cornitos' pack (chef agreed that is what they use). Paid 900 bucks for that crappy nachos. Panner dish was fine. Chef 'forgot' to add tomatoes to the pizza, it was a part of the toppings mentioned in the description. So it was only cheese and bell peppers. We sent it back and it came back with tomatoes but this time they forgot to add the bell peppers. Lasagna was cold. The eggplant was chewy. Food took unbelievably long to be prepared and served. Atleast they are consistent with disappointing. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

When I think of Sofitel hotel, Pondicherry Cafe is what comes to my mind first. Ambience was superb and had a great time with family. Well spread buffet. We ordered tawa chicken pulao, margarita pizza, balati lamb ghost, ice creams. Chicken tawa pulao tastes like biryani which is good. The food was amazing as well as our host also was very attentive. Sofitel had launched Malvani food festival at Pondichery cafe which comprised of authentic and traditional flavours from the Konkan region of Maharashtra. Curated by home chefs, it was nicely prepared and presented in the form of a buffet spread. I started with a nice glass of Sol Kadhi which was medium spiced, medium sour and refreshing. The next was the Hirva Chicken which was prepared in rich green spices and condiments, I thoroughly enjoyed eating it with Bhat. My favourite was the Kolambi Bhat which is aka prawn pulao. It was yummy, bagged with subtle spices and lotsa prawns, it was the best thing outta the entire spread. I also tried the Kombdiche Wade, which were prepared on the spot and served warm and steamy. But I felt they were made too thick and I’ve had better Wades compared to this.

We celebrated our 10th anniversary here. My table was decorated with a candle light. The food was excellent. And the desserts superb. Few dishes were cold but we informed them and that was sorted. Thank you Kanchan, Akshay and Anuja for the warm hospitality. The icing of the dinner was the beautiful mixed fruit cake from Artisan. A definite must try.

Had visited Pondicherry to redeem our complimentary buffet coupon. We are pure vegetarians and normally in 5 star hotels we get a lot of options as there are innumerable options in a buffet spread. Naturally we expected the same at Pondicherry cafe too. The spread was wide no doubt but we were disappointed with the vegetarian options. The Indian main course was good but the Asian main course didn't appease us. The sushi especially was not good. The dessert section was the only relief for us. If the MRP of your buffet is 3000-3500/- you need to keep amazing enticing options for patrons of all dietary restrictions. Hope they add some items and make it a fair deal for us vegetarians! Don't pay and go for this if you are a vegetarian/vegan.

Sofitel bkc has organised "Malvani Food Festival" till 24th Nov. Enjoyed some of my favorite and delicious dishes of konkan , especially malvani part of it in Sofitel. The Malvani Food Festival brings richness and nostalgia of the region to the city. They got different dishes each day which gives variety of options to choose from. Best dishes I tried were chimbori masala, mutton hirwa masala, kolambi khichadi, solkadhi etc. Loved their surmai curry along with the freshly made rice flour Bhakri. Pondichery cafe is the heart of Sofitel and known for its delicious spread of buffets. I had visited Pondichery cafe in sofitel for women’s day special sunday brunch and the set up was great. The food options were great and the place was packed yet the service was prompt. They also had fun activities for kids planned like pasta learning. Overall we had a great time . The main attraction for me was the dessert counter which has a wonderful spread from icecreams, choco lava cake live counter to pastries and some indian sweets too. . The staff is very helpful & courteous too. The ambience of this place is definitely the USP Definitely worth a visit especially sea food lovers.

Pondicherry Café Recently I have been to Pondicherry Café for Malvani Food Festival headed by Chef Vividh Patil along with Speciality Home Chefs Prathistha and Praja. The Malvani cuisine tingle your taste buds till 24th November 2019 at this amazing festival. The Malvani Food Festival will bring the richness and nostalgia of the region to tje city. We tried delicacies from Konkan region like Kombadi Vade, Hirava Mutton Masala, Jawla Cutlet, Keliche Kaap, Rawas Curry, Solkadhi and so on. The food was really yummm and delicious. Don’t forget to pick from their wide range of desserts. Another thing I’ve noticed is that you are not limited to a few mains. There are plenty of options available in Veg and in Non Veg too. The staff was courteous and adhered to all our needs. Overall, if you want to enjoy lavish Malvani food then this place is a must visit. Would surely love to visit again. We had a delightful experience during our visit to Pondicherry cafe. The spread had lots of novel things amongst many were a mushroom dish of fungus and button mushrooms, three different preparations of paneer and two types of dimsums for vegetarians. We were taken special care of by Varun who attended to us. On request we were served a portion of onion kulcha which was prepared very meticulously and tasted amongst the best in town although it wasn't even part of the breads on offer. Varun even offered to serve us coffee after desserts which we didn't know was part of the buffet. When I think of Sofitel hotel, Pondicherry Cafe is what comes to my mind first. This was our second visit. Great food and excellent service by Akshay and Yogesh.

Generally I don’t review places .... but I was floored by the hospitality of the staff who went out of the way to make it a memorable visit for my 2 year old by showing her around the restaurant , giving her freebie food & chocolates & taking care of her while mommy & daddy dined. We had booked exclusively the glass cabin in order to have some privacy and exclusive experience though the same was great but it was literally quite uncomfortable due to lack of air conditioning in the cabin, seemed like the same was being switched off to limit costs, they should keep in mind the steep costs to have end to end experience despite the food being good the enjoyment was short lived. Perhaps better luck next time if at all!!

We have been to the restaurant several times since we are Accor members. However, this is the last time until they change the food and presentation! The same buffet with the same 15 dishes have been doing the rounds since 2 years. The Sushi is always cold, the 2 varieties of dimsums are not unique, the Chinese and Thai are overcooked and lack flavor, the dessert selection is the same too. For a price of 3000++ its a sheer waste! Will be great if this is noticed taking inspiration from other restaurants around- or reduce the number of dishes and charge 1500++
