Famous for Asian food and sushi, KOKO has always been on my list to try. We tried a variety of sushi and starters and loved the vibe here. Definitely worth a visit!

Undoubtedly the best Sushi in India, KOKO made me fall in love with Sushi indeed! Their signature California sushi is stately. The prices are on the higher end but go for their Sunday brunch, its absolutely Paisa vasool if you love ASIAN!

I went for the sakura brunch. Loved the food. There were so many types of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. Loved dumpling soup, edamame n sweet corn soup. Amazing sushi n dumplings. Wontons were out of the world. Overall the food was amazing. We were served by Mr Karam Kanojia. He was super sweet n did his job well. The whole vibe was super chill.

My first post Covid visit was a happy one with some old favourites and a few newbies on the menu. Fresh ingredients and great flavours make their sushi and dumplings easily the best items to go for. Only thing - it is a restaurant, not a nightclub, irrespective of whether it is the weekend. The volume of the music was ramped up halfway through the evening, and we had to shout to hear ourselves, which spoiled the fun a little.

This is hands down, the best sushi I’ve had in Mumbai!!! The rice to filling ratio is perfect, seafood is fresh and delicious and the sauces or additions made do not drown out the fish at all! The Forbidden Fruit dessert is a must try any time you go. It is rather big, so be careful when you order!

KOKO is a stylish pan-Asian gastropub in Lower Parel, Mumbai, that serves creative cocktails, sushi, and modern Asian fare. The food is excellent, the service is attentive, and the atmosphere is lively.

An absolute gourmet delight. This is the best dessert I had in my whole life. At this price point it's expected though. I cannot even start to describe the Euphoria I had while we tested each item, and it never got boring for a second. Their vegetarian dim sums are legendary. Now I did feel the dim sums were a bit heavy on the folding side, but I think that is the texture the chef wanted it to be. We got suggested a dessert, and I'll not tell you the name. Show the picture and ask for the exact same thing. You won't be disappointed. But fair warning, keep an open mind and experiment. This kind of thoughtful food are hard to come by. Edit: Forgot to mention the in house beer. It's a blend of Rice beer with Hops and they have created something unique and tasty. My sister does not even drink beer and she finished half the glass🤣🤣🤣. Totally Worth it.

When it comes to standalone asian restaurants in Mumbai, I’m pretty sure KOKO is at the very top! Maybe Yauatcha/Hakkasan are of similar standards but this one should definitely be in your bucket list. Chef Eric Sifu who hails from Malaysia and brings in culinary experience from working in a Michelin starred restaurant (Din Tai Fung) in Singapore has done a fantastic job in creating an amazing menu. I with my 3 other friends had gone for the Sakura Brunch and it was worth every penny. Sumptuous spread (you name it they have it), groovy yet soothing music and the interesting decor of the dining room takes the experience to an whole another level. Coming to food specifically, Dim Sums were very expertly made (not the best in the city but extremely tasty undoubtedly), KOKO Signature Roll was a banger, Spicy Chicken Bao was the best one I ever had in my life, The staples/small plates were honestly very okkayish and finally the desserts were again big hits since they were reinterpretations of Masterchef Australia’s finale desserts. One suggestion is that the Sakura Brunch menu in terms of Dim Sums can be a little more well thought since mostly everything has chicken chicken chicken…More variety would be appreciated there in terms of filling. I guess more overall thought is required in designing the Sakura Brunch menu. But again since the menu changes from time to time, it’s a good thing. Service by Akash & the front desk lady who escorted us to choose the table was fantastic. Very professional and it seems as if they know how to do their job well. Overall it’s a great experience, with a lot of hits and very minor misses so I would still give 5 stars haha! Definitely going again when the menu changes.

Good, authentic East Asian food. The atmosphere is very welcoming, pleasant, and beautiful. Our servers, Aakash and Kanhaiya, were very cordial. The music is never too loud, which is a good thing. The signature dishes, dimsums and desserts are excellent. The noodles were not to my taste. Barring that, it was an extremely positive experience for me.
...smile... ..
Nice location. Worth a visit. They even customised my dish to my liking

I went with my husband last weekend and I absolutely loved the sushi rolls and the dumpling soup. There are enough veg and non veg options. The place also has a nice vibe and a cozy ambience. I totally recommend the Sakura brunch they offer. Overall the whole dining experience was excellent.

Service at KOKO Mumbai is impeccable, with attentive staff who anticipate your needs and contribute to the seamless flow of the evening. The waitstaff's knowledge of the menu and their ability to offer expert recommendations further enhance the overall dining experience. In conclusion, KOKO Mumbai is not merely a dining establishment; it is a destination for those who seek the epitome of culinary indulgence. With its sublime ambiance, gastronomic delights, and top-notch service, this high-class non-vegetarian restaurant with a bar stands as a beacon of excellence in the realm of fine dining.

Fun! That’s how I would describe this place in one word. A very cool vibe, with a great crowd. The bar nights are a whole of fun, with great music. But, above all is the food! The sushi and dim sums are to die for, let alone the mains and the deserts. So this place definitely get’s a 👍🏿 from me.

It was our anniversary and it was a Great coincidence that they have a Thursday tasting set menu on the same day ! So we could try more food in lesser portions. Before I even say another word, I have to warn you, go here on an empty stomach. It’s worth every dime. The quality, the service, the staff, the flavours everything excellent. Starting with the salads, the many many sushi and many manh dimsums as carpaccio ... we were so stuffed by then. The mains were all left ! We barely had any more space for more food but then the mains too (small plates) were beyond yummy. I would highly recommend the place ..

I'd heard so much about this place and tried searching last year through Google Maps when I was in Kamala Mills. The location was not (and still not) exact and I got caught in the August rains and dashed for the nearest restaurant. This time, however I figured out and it was worth the wait!

My friend and I were intrigued by the range of dimsums and tried out the lobster-caviar one. It was really good and the seafood smell was not at all overpowering.

The prawn sushi was excellent with just the right amount of crispiness.

We ordered the steamed veggies which was so fresh, light, no heavy dressing, and the perfect choice for pre-summer months. I would really like to make it at home soon.

Though I usually like a-la-carte, we decided to try out 1 Lunch Exclusive meal. A combo meal is usually very basic in most places. Not in Koko though - they made it with equal attention and love (the presentation, the garnish etc). The dessert in the meal (red-velvet based) could have been better but then nobody goes to an Asian place with the expectation of a great American dessert, so it didn't matter at all.

Ah, the cocktails! I had a Bellini while my friend had the whiskey sour. They were so good that we ordered another round even after finishing our meals.

Definitely a great place to go with your family, friends or your special one, with great food, service, classy decor and no loud music (meaning - great conversations).

Whatever we had was delicious. We tried pork dumplings, crispy prawn cheung fun, garlic fried rice. Everything was superb
Loved the ambience. It was almost full for a Wednesday night

It was our first visit to KOKO for my wife’s birthday - Great experience from the time we stepped in ... We got the table we asked for .. Excellent food recommendation from the staff - If you are looking for authentic asian - then go to KOKO and you will not be disappointed ..The ambience, service , quality of food , portions and dessert all made this a wonderful experience..
Try the Tenderloin Chilly , Soft Shell Crab Sushi , Scallop Dimsums - For the mains we recommend Edmame Black Rice with truffle oil , Prawns in Singapore chilly sauce & Iberico Pork
Save space for dessert and have the Hazelnut Chocolate Crust Fingers..

Been a while since we have visited this place but would love to talk about it. This swanky Asian retro bar is mostly buzzing on Saturday nights and luckily, we visited the place on Saturday. We went in a big group and had quite a bit to eat. Starting with our favourite aromatic prawns. This mildly flavoured appetiser was truly incredible.

Up next was the seafood dimsum that came to blow our mind. Wild salmon truffle sushi was like a party in the mouth and so was the avocado and tempura sushi roll. Became an instant fan of the bao and also the black rice was pretty amazing and unique tasting. The edamame two ways were really well-made.

For desserts, we had the matcha cheesecake and red velvet parfait. These two too were absolutely on point.

The only thing we felt was that the quantity of each dish was a bit less compared to their pricing. Although the music was quite cool and so was the ambience.

Would love to visit the place again for its cocktails.

For more such reviews, follow us on Instagram and Facebook: twohangrywomen

We visited KOKO on a sunday for their unlimited Asian Affair brunch. Located in the restaurant hub of Lower Parel ie. Kamala Mills, this restaurant is a class apart and has a beautiful ambience which is very worth mentioning. For their Brunch they have live music playing. The Brunch deal is Rs. 2500/- per head all inclusive. They have abrunch drinks menu which consists of very exciting looking brunch cocktails. A prior reservation is a must as this place tends to get completely packed on Sundays. Their service is top notch and the stewards are very attentive and quick with bringing your food to your table. Even with the restaurant completely packed, their service remained consistently good till we left. There is a special brunch menu at the table which offers a wide variety of Dimsums, Sushi, Baos, Soups and salads you can choose from. My husband and I love pan asian food and we had a wonderful time sampling their different varieties at this brunch. We ordered 2 cocktails, both Gin based; Yuka Fizzu & Daiki, both very well concocted. There were so many varieties of dimsum we ordered that it will be hard to describe each and everyone here. So in short, the quality and the way the dimsums were prepared were perfect. Even though they were constantly dishing out these dimsums, the chef managed to maintain consistency in the taste and the covering and the steaming of each and every dimsum. My favourite was the Cottage Cheese Dumpling (black dumplings) and the Iberico Pork dumpling. The sushi too was wonderful and had so many different interesting varieties. My favourite was the KOKO signature roll. The desserts were a perfect end to our meal we ordered one of each of the 2 varieties. If you are a lover of Dimsum and Sushi, this place is a must must visit for their Sunday Brunch. We loved every bit of our experience here..

Such an amazing experience at Koko! Brilliant food.. Tried the Sunday brunch menu... everything tasted sooo good.. Amazing staff.. Even though I went alone, I didn't feel lonely at all..the manager and the staff members did a great job to make me feel very comfortable. Overall fantastic experience!

One of the best place in town for high-end oriental meal. The quantity and the portions are sufficient. Gastronomical journey everyone will love.

Koko has a fascinating name and interiors. Ambiance is remarkable with comfortable seating and tall chairs respectively.
We were in a rush and ordered for Bento lunch which though was good, I guess my friend and I repented as most of the things turned cold before we could try and dessert was tad bite size.
We would love to return to koko as the menu was really promising and Maki rolls were worth giving it a shot
For green tea, they serve mago mago from TLC which is a damn good choice !!

My son and I went for their Sunday Brunch on 15.12. The great experience started on the phone with Shamin who took our reservations the day before. She politely followed up with us on the actual day of our booking, remembered us when we walked in. and on her own assured us that the moment there was a table free, she would move us ( we were on a high bar table), Very efficient.

The great service continued with Ashutosh and Kylie ( not sure of her exact name : it definitely started with a K and she is from Nagaland ) Extremely nice , and very efficient.

The gin cocktails were great!! A big thumbs - up to the team on the cart for making such a great job of those. Again, very sweet boys.

Now for the food. Each and everything on the Brunch menu was FANTASTIC. We ate only the non-veg items :) except fof the salads. The dumplings were delicate with a transluscent cover with delicious stuffing. The sushi was outstanding, fresh and tasty. The salads were also quite yummy. Tangy and with a bit of a crunch to add some fun.
The gyoza was also well-made. crunchy and with a delicious chicken stuffing.

The crowning glory was the Lamington we ordered for dessert. Super soft, yet firm with a silky custard-filled centre. Perfect end to an amazing meal.

This review might sound a little unreal but it really was one of those days when everything just flowed magically from one great dish to the other topped by great service.

Well, well, well!! Koko is definitely the place to be. Every Saturday we hit this place. So positive is the vibe of the place, as soon as you enter you feel this is it! No more hopping around.
The staff is always smiling n welcoming. We are vegetarians, n yet the food n variety compliment the awesome cocktails really well.
For me and my gang, these guys are 5 out of 5!! Hope they keep it up!!!

We went without a reservation on a Saturday and expectedly weren't received as warmly, but they did give us a table immediately. The brunch at Rs 2500 inclusive of taxes is a steal! You absolutely get your money's worth and more. We ate 4 kinds of sushi, 5 kinds of dumplings, cheung fun, 3 types of salad, 2 types of dessert and refused soup!

It is great food, not sure about the cost. Of course I'm no expert on Japanese cuisine, but we liked the flavours and tastes that came to our table. Of course we also realised we're not "sushi people", but I bet whoever likes sushi would like it
Shweta
Another great addition to the amazing places in Kamala Mills!!

We were here for a weekend lunch and had made a reservation beforehand. The host was courteous and helpful. The place is tastefully dine and the seating is elegant and comfortable.

We tried the koko signature rolls, truffle-warer chestnut-sweet pea dumplings and thai lotus root in chilli oil. All of these were delicious, and had distinct flavours. No two dishes tasted similar, which is quite an achievement! The dim sum was a favourite at our table and tasted fresh and interesting. The tempura asparagus in an otherwise regular vegetarian avacado roll was new and nice.

We finished with the pan fried noodles which was good too.

Great food, awesome service, good value for money. What's not to love?!

Definitely recommend.

Koko is your classic pub n dine experience, lavish ,spaced out n roomy ,styled ,loud ,lighted and pricey
The bar is wide ,the DJ is loud and the staff is polite
Spicy hot n sour soup is your usual good soup with just the right amount of tanginess
Lantern chicken is really good ,tenderly cooked and tightly spiced meat 9/10
Aromatic prawns shichini pepper with loads of garlic were decent
Hunan spicy lamb ,meat was tender but it lacked the taste factor 3/10
Butter garlic fried rice and spicy lemongrass fried rice with chicken were good addons with the chicken and prawn gravy
Sliced chicken chilli oil was nicely cooked wished it had a bit more spice n flavour
Prawn black bean sauce was the usual
The rosa Maria cocktail was good not great
The star were the desserts ..hazelnut crunch fingers was good ,crunchy ,dash of ice cream and chocolate mud
The real deal was the creme brulee ,perfect ..had to reorder 10/10

Well the staff was really polite ,the attendant actually returned an extra 2000 note put in by me by mistake
It was a perfect diwali dinner with family ,occasion daughters birthday
Will soon revisit
What is not good is what I want to ask!!?!??! One of the best fine dining place we have visited and will recommend everyone. Liked the fact that they have a dress code especially for gentleman. The ambiance is perfect. The table placement is good, the lights music was perfect for fine dining. Not so noisy and staffs were well versed with all the food & drinks in their menu. He made us to taste new food and desserts they were planning to add in their new menu. We really enjoyed our time and will want to go back again and again. We have a high expectation from this restaurant.

KOKO Asian Gastropub, serves modern asian food that takes you for a tour around East Asia. What I ordered: ⠀⠀

Koko Signature Roll : Avocado, tempura asparagus, topped with crisps and ‘Koko sauce’. This is the sushi of your dreams. ⠀
⭐⭐⭐⭐️⭐️⠀⠀

Silken Tofu in Spicy Plum Sauce : Melt in your mouth tofu tossed in some sweet and spicy plum sauce, topped with pine nuts and asparagus. Perfectly flavored and light - this one is a must try!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️⠀
⠀⠀
Crispy Spinach Sprout Cheung Fun : Spinach sprout filling in a double layer of thin rice noodle and crispy tempura batter, doused in a sweet soy sauce. Personal FAVOURITE!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⠀

Silken Tofu in Chilli Black Bean : Similar to mapu tofu, best paired with some sticky jasmine rice. The bird eye chili gives this dish a super spicy kick, so if you’re one who prefers mild flavors, be sure to mention it to the chef. ⠀
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️⠀⠀⠀
⠀
Hazelnut Crunch Fingers : A nutty chocolate ganache with an overlay of crunchy cocoa and a garnish of French biscuit. Nutella/ferrerocher lovers - this is the ultimate dessert for you.
Tip: Book your table via EazyDiner and get a bite sized portion (pictured) of this dessert for free! ⠀
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️⠀⠀⠀

The food gods seem to be kind to me these days, as I've had a streak of visiting very good restaurants. And this continued this afternoon too with my visit to KOKO. As soon as I walked in, the open and spacious feel of the restaurant got my attention, as did the excellent decor. The service from the moment we walked in till we left was faultless, and I wish to thank the staff of KOKO for making our special celebration afternoon a very happy experience. I had heard of the excellent food at KOKO, and having empty, rumbling bellies we couldn't wait to get right to it, without wasting time on drinks.

We started with Sushi and Sashimi, and ordered Hoi Sin Duck Roll (this is the first time any of us have had duck as a sushi option, and it was very very good), Signature Prawn Tempura Sushi, and Hamachi Yellow Tail Sashimi. If you are a Sushi lover as we are, you cannot not visit Koko, as the quality and freshness of the fish is instantly recognisable.
We then sank our teeth into the most moist, well-made, beautifully cooked Scallops. I've had cause to complain at some five star hotels in Mumbai about the scallops being overcooked, but these were just melt in the mouth, and deliciously accompanied with bamboo heart, mushrooms, asparagus, and ponzu butter.

The main course consisted of Prawns in Singapore Sauce (if you do not like spicy food do not order this dish, which we devoured with all relish), Spicy Lemongrass Fried Rice (SOOOO Good), and perfectly cooked and delicately flavoured Tenderloin with Broccoli and Scallions. Of course, after all of this there was no place for any dessert, as the portions of all the dishes are generous indeed!

Thank you Koko....definitely returning...Soon!

KOKO - the restaurant has a very grand feel, the tables are spaced out and the music is just right volume for one to enjoy conversations over a a nice meal. The guava mocktail was too good - guava cranberry and a dash of tobasco. The food menu is extensive with lot of options from sushis to dimsums to a variety of starters. We tried the portobello mushroom starter with asparagus - it was flavourful, turnip cake and lotus root starters were also very nice and well prepared. The servings of the starters were large, more than average starter portions. We had to skip the mains and directly moved to a dessert. We tried the creme brulee. It was well made. On the whole, it was a nice meal. The staff is attentive, informed and make an effort to ensure that the meal is as per your liking.

As always an amazing experience at Koko. Special thanks to Tejas for always being so courteous and taking care and serving us so well !
👍🏻👍🏻

This place is my new love. They have a lot variety in their menu and everything I tried from this place was extremely good and great in taste. Staff also behaved very well and was kind enough.

Went to Koko with high expectations. Unfortunately it did not live upto the hype.

Sushi - average
Soup- Excellent
Small plates - Below Average
Tom yum potatoes pls avoid. Mushroom and asparagus small plate pls take off the menu.

Did not get a dig into the mains. Left thinking why did I not stick to Foo or Pa Pa Ya
Shuchi B
One of the best Asian food around and that's saying something in this area.
Vandana Sharma
Superb dining experience. Food was great and one must try the shushi. Will def go to have sushi again. But the best part about the whole experience was the staff. They know their stuff, well informed and they make recommendations according to your likes and dislikes. Dessert was good too.
Abaneeta Chakraborty
My go-to place now for 🍣. Great variety and very tasty food. My Soya was a little too salty so they changed it and gave me a lighter soya that was just perfect. The wasabi could be more pungent but otherwise everything was creme-de-la-creme. And oh, the surprise element was the fresh Hoegaarden.
Neha Khaitan
One of the best Asian food ever had. Awesome food and awesome ambience... Loved everything about it. Must visit. Waiters can be more attentive.

Koko!

Yay: Food!
Nay: Price? Depends on you.
.
Must haves:
1. Soupy dumplings
2. Hot Toddy / loved loved it
3. All the Sushi you can eat or afford
.
Koko is a classy fine dine restaurant with beautiful and spaced interiors and amazing service: I was a little sick when I went to Koko and they offered me Hot Toddy which really good 😍.
.
Dishes we had:

1. Various Various types of Sushi
Eating sushi is an act. It is and has to be a pure experience. Koko spoilt us for choice, both veg and non veg Sushi here has a lot of variety. Loved all of them! Must must must have.

2. Salads: Chun Ya
3. Salads: Koko San
Both the salads were extremely fresh, juicy and really tasty. Asian salads are great starters as they merge the cooked and uncooked at their best.

4. Ginseng nutty edamame soup
The souo was fabulous. So settled and rich in its taste, it was one of the best edamame based food that I have consumed. Really soothing.

5. Soupy dumpling: Tom yum Je
Again another act of food consuming. For someone who doesn’t know, you basically have to break open the dumpling and a soup oozes out of it. It was a sized container, to take the soup and remains and it was absolutely delicious. Must have!!!

6. Dessert: Forest Log
Beautiful presentation. The mushroom shaped meringue was deceptive as it seemed heavy but was light as air. The chocolate log was fully consumable and was a good mixture of dark and bitter chocolate.
.
While Mumbai is flooded with Asian restaurants now, Koko definitely stands out because of the array of food, ambiance, drinks and service. It is a beautiful place to take your date or family and I highly recommend it :D

Ratings:

Food: 5/5
Drinks: 4/5
Ambiance: 4/5
Service: 5/5
Overall: 4.8/5

One word. Awesome.

Great even for Vegetarians
Best dish: Signature Sushi
Must try: Spicy Nam Tok and Sweet Pea Dumplings
Pro tip: Don't forget to explore the Sauces they have on the table.

The experience started with the Signature Veg Sushi and the amazing spicy Nam Tok Cottage cheese.

The Sushi with the Wasabi was perfect. The Signature sushi had 8 to 9 servings of sushi
The serve 4 to 5 types of additional sauces to eat with the food.

The Spicy Nam Tok cottage cheese, was a small Paneer dish with onions and a really tasty dressing.
With the red spicy sauce and the black spicy sauce it was marvelous.

Turnip cake and garlic, nice and tasty little cubes with a a simple texture and great taste.
We tried the Truffle, water chestnut and sweet pea dumplings.
They are a mouthful.

In Desset.
We had The Forest log law and the Hazelnut fingers.
Both were suggested by the team and were great.

The serving team suggested food and help out with any difficulties while figuring out the dishes.

Being an Asian food lover, absolutely loved the food here. Ordered quiet a few items - the KOKO Sushi roll was the highlight of our meal, followed by the Edamame and Truffle Money Bags and Dumplings. Definitely visiting again.

Asian has been my favorite cuisine since few months and Koko has been by far one of my best experiences! That's right, it wasn't just a meal, it was an experience to remember!

The service is 5* level. They are all so attentive and ever ready to meet your dining needs. It's just brilliant how they were able to manage even when the restaurant was completely sold out! Manish, Joy and Ravi made sure no stone was unturned to make out visit memorable. A huge round of appreciation for them👏.

Coming to the ambience, it was really well made up, loved the decor, the lights and the complete vibe of the place. Really fancy!

Now the food! They have a vast and extensive menu for both vegetarians as well as non vegetarians. Their latest Asian invention cocktails are all backed by a wonderful history and chemistry!

The desserts are powered by Ben Ungermann but unfortunately none of them where eggless.

Following are the dishes that we tried:-
Each and every dish was exemplary. Il mention what I liked about the dish. The list is loooong!

Salad:-
1) Koko San - a bit mild for our taste palate but damn it was organically colourful! Really healthy choice.

2) Som Tam - My all time favorite salad! And they made it so well on! On point I must say!

Soup:-
3) Tom Yum soup - It hit all the right flavours. Loved it. Surely try it.

4) Ginseng Edmame nutty soup - My personal favorite! It had hazelnuts in it! I mean have you ever tried a soup like that! Bet you haven't! Highly recommended.

Sushi:- All the sushis were excellent. Since Koko is by the same parent company as Foo, you have to completely trust their sushi making skills to give you the finest! Their chilli mango roll was the best of all! The touch of mango was surely alluring to the taste buds!
5) Spicy tofu maki
6) Shisoto tempura maki
7) Kappa avocado maki
8) Chilli mango roll

Dimsum:-
9) Cottage cheese charcoal - Pitch black charcoal dimsums stuffed with mashed cottage cheese! They tasted well too.

10) Smoked cheese and scallions - again something new. Having smoked cheese in dimsums! Never had something like this and totally loved it!

Rice:-
11) Edmame black rice - glutinous black rice tossed with Edmame! A must try main course.

Small plate:-
12) Spicy Nom Tak cottage cheese - Thin tofu like cottage cheese cut and drenched in spicy sauce filled with vegetables! A very different concept 👍.

Big plate:-
13) Sauteed asparagus, snow peas, spicy chopped chilli - long and tender asparagus and snow peas sauteed in spicy chilli sauce. Served as a perfect complement to the black rice.

Dessert:-
14) Hazelnut crunch - this one's from their regular menu. But I really liked it. It had tonnes of hazelnut presence to it and every bite felt like a real treat!

Cocktails:- Koko uses a combination of in house syrups, concoctions and liquers in these cocktails each backed by a wonderful asian story.
15) The leaf game - Koko herbal liquer(made of pandan leaves, shiso leaves, kaffir lime and mint leaves), pineapple saccharum(cordial), ginger syrup and their sandalwood tincture which is essentially pieces of sandalwood submerged in vodka for a while till it catches the flavour! Outstanding juxtaposition of nature with liquor!

16) Doucai - Koko chrysanthemum liquer, lime and lemon syrup, maraschino cherry liquer.

All in all it's evident from the enumeration how good evrytbing was!!! It's certainly a must visit place👍. Highly recommended 💯

KOKO - No need of Introduction. This place is class. Top Notch. Vibe/feel/ambiance/Energy. However they have introduced the new menu (July) some dishes from the new menu as under:

Nikkei (Non veg Salad) Subtle in Taste. Hamachi/Salman/Tuna being the main ingredients. Besides this they had a nice balance of Romaine hears/Iceberg. Yuzu Emulsion has that lemony/citrusy taste.

Karafuru (colourful) Simple yet classy with Truffle cream (aromatic) this had Arugula and baby Spinach some Sunflower and watermelon seeds, Carrots/avocado. Could have been better a tad soggy i guess. Tasted good though.

Mu try the spicy/tangy Tom Yum (Veg) had bold flavours. Cherry tomatoes and Lotus stem. Lovely.

Coming to Sushi - Koko Is known for their amazing Sushi. Small portions (1 Veg and 2 Non veg)

SHISOTO TEMPURA MAKI - Done well crunchy with shisoto pepper (Sweet pepper) with Yazu Causa and avocado cream. Non Veg - Hamachi Maki - this was a tad spicy they used spicy Hamachi/King chilli/Chia seeds and Kakidane (Rice cracker) which looks like red pepper a bit crunchy. Overall nicely compressed and balanced well. SALMON HARASU MAKI went well with crispy Quinoa and wasabi Cream.

Soupy Dumplings - ( this is Single serve ) Do try the Tom Yum Ji ( spicy/tangy ) which is vegetarian and if you love Pork the Iberico Pork ( Broth ) of both were good , layer/texture = full marks.

Small Plates - Crispy Lotus root (veg) Tangy/Spicy/Crunchy, Lotus stem made well with Mango salsa as the topping along with Chia seeds. Kept it simple. Tasted Yum.

Spicy Nam Tok Cottage Cheese - Normally they use Pork. Here the chef had made a veg version with Fresh cottage cheese with bold flavours using Soy sauce/ pinch of sugar/chilli flakes/Lime/shallots and onions. It's all about the sauce. Gives you that tangy/spicy taste. Do try.

Steamed John Dory with Broad Bean Chilli sauce was the dish of the day. Loved the texture/balance of the Bean chilli sauce. Melt in the mouth. Not spicy. Just perfect.

Mains - asked for tasting portions Veg we tried the Sautéed asparagus with snow peas with spicy chilli sauce. Comfort food. Went well with the rice served. Non Veg it was the classic CHILEAN SEA BASS with While Fennel curry (refreshing) subtle in taste (Lovely texture)

Edamame Black rice was good. Went well with John Dory Chilli bean sauce.

Ben Ungermann Desserts - Forrest Log Law (for me was bit of a miss) would have loved the Dark Chocolate without the Truffle in the Mousse. My partner liked it. Going by her word. This also had mushroom shaped Meringue and Hazelnut ice cream which missed the Hazelnut flavour.

Coming to cocktails - Leaf game was amazing Vodka (Absolute) with Koko herbal liqueur a dash of pineapple saccharum, Ginger Syrup (gave a good hit) Mint leaves gave the refreshing feel. Strong but good.

Doucai - Gin with maraschino liquor a bit of Abstine lime and lemon.

Overall - had a great time. Wishing you guys all the best. Keep rocking. Await the new opening this month. Cheers.

So we had been planning on visiting koko since a lot of our friends are regulars here and spoke very highly of it. We made a visit on a Sunday night and to our surprise, it was still quite busy for a Sunday. We were greeted by very polite staff and we were given a table in less than 2 minutes of being there.
Our table staff was most polite and very helpful in suggestions since I don’t eat any gluten and need to make sure my food is entirely free of any. We ordered for a portion each of vegetarian and their non vegetarian koko special sushi platters. Our main course was the regular rice and curries with different koko special sauces. I am big on sushi and I hate weak wasabi. Our sushi tasted just alright, nothing extraordinary but I was put off by the high sodium soy sauce they use! It was way too salty and they did not have a substitute for it either! The wasabi was quite weak, though fresh. The only saving grace was the ever smiling, helpful staff who paid all the heed to our issues with the food. The main course tasted good but I wouldn’t make another trip to koko for the mediocre food. The dessert was again a hazelnut mousse special which was honestly the best part of our entire meal (P.S: as reported by the people I went with, since I couldn’t eat any of the desserts thanks to my gluten intolerance).

Loved the ambience and decor!! We had Soft shell crab maki roll sushi and can say it was one of the most delectable ones I had so far. Also, it was interesting to see the great spread of dips to go with it. Overall, loved the experience!!

Went there on a Saturday night for a friends birthday dinner. The place has descent ambience and good food. I was really impressed by the staffs politeness and helpful behaviour. Ordered atleast 10-15 dishes. Just had a few of them so cannot talk much about the food, but im sure it must be good. I would really love to go there one more time and concentrate on the food there instead of chit chats. For now its a 4 star. Would love to review again.
ONE LINE TAGLINE – OUTSTANDINGLY EXEMPLARY!!

KOKO Mumbai (Lower Parel) has reset the standards of exemplary fine dine when it comes to Pan Asian Cuisine. Their recent new menu launch is not just out-of-the-world but a blitzkrieg of flavours.

The Chef’s Table dinner had an array of mesmerizing dishes, drool-worthy original cocktails and of course specially curated desserts by world renowned MasterChef Australia fame Chef Ben Ungermann.

A quick review without going into the intimate details of every dish (which I normally do):

Sushis – top-notch!

Dimsums – Orgasmically delightful!

Cocktails – Virginal untouched flavours, packed with the right punch

Desserts – Every plate is crafted with the creative precision of making it a masterpiece. Chef Ben has raised the bar for Mumbai!

Do try all the cocktails since they have a nouveau zing from the usual smoky flavoured concoctions which have stormed the market. Another must-try is the Soupy Dimsum, one serving won’t be enough. Rather than dwelling on each dish, I suggest you languish in the flavours.

A big thumbs up to Keenan Tham, his team for ensuring the service levels didn’t dip on the crowded Saturday night.

Coming back soon to feast, I barely got enough to taste. The memories surely keep oozing those flavours back to my palate.

Great job Guys, thanks for the wonderful evening.

Food is fantastic. I had Prawn Cheung fun (sorry Koko, but Yuatcha makes these better) but the braised pork belly was outstanding. The pan fried noodles (with prawns) were decent. A tip: Do not go on weekends because it gets super crowded and you'll have to wait despite table reservations.

A fine dining experience like never before, serving quality Asian cuisine at KOKO
We tried their KOKO Special Sushi - An exquisite dish, full of flavours and authenticity. Crisps on top truly enhanced the taste and added slight touch of crunch to the dish.
P.S- They serve the same dish in Jain.
.
We also tried Pan Fried Zhai Gyoza- they were delicious and mouth watering.

The place is all that you would look for in a perfect Asian restaurant, be it the food or interiors or the ambience. But more than the place, it was the hospitality of Mr. Ashish Hegde which made the experience even more worthwhile and his courtsey and help will make you want to come again!

A birthday celebration, a decision made by the birthday girl , to celebrate at Koko’s, highly recommend by quite a few friends !
The little apprehension we have is dispelled by the wonderful staff & a lovely cozy corner ! We have around 3hrs before bringing in the birthday. It’s going to a very slow paced evening.
Chilled Hoegaarden , Kingfisher Ultra & Whiskey sour , take a back stage , once the food enrapture with some soul satisfying culinary dexterity. We begin with the Prawn Cheung Fun &
Lobster & caviar dumpling. The Wild Salmon & Truffle Sushi Roll has to be ordered since I need to break the Myth that the birthday girl has had forever , that , Sushi can only be eaten in Chilly Australia ! & Break the Myth, we do ! The last appetiser is Lantern Chicken followed by Malaysian red curry with chicken. Every dish had a story to tell , every taste bud rejoiced. The quality has not been compromised!
A sheer indulgence , which needs to be experienced , rather than described.
The evening ended with us bringing in the bday exactly at midnight , with a pastry of Koko’s choice & crown it with the Salted Creme Brûlée!
This review is incomplete without Thanking , Chef Eric & sous chef Pushkar for their effort in making every dish matter. Also - Vineet , Joy & Yahushan , for making us comfortable.
The party at Koko has just begun !

No number of words can do justice to the sheer awesomeness that is the food at koko. One of my most favourite dishes is the edamame and truffle moneybags. We order atleast 2 portions whenever we dine here. We have never had a bad food or drink experience. The truffle rice and the edamame black rice create fireworks on your palate and deserve special mention. As you can probably tell I love truffle and edamame. Their sushi and dim sums have always been incredible as well. The crispy prawn cheung fun is another favourite. Also cannot forget their black cod although we could do with a slightly bigger portion for sure.
Two of our favourite cocktails are the koko master and the tom yum cup. The latter is an innovative take on the classic soup and comes chilled and heavily spiked with alcohol. Absolutely love this.
I hope they include some interesting pan-Asian desserts in the future. I’m sure those will be as decadent as their amazing food.
Can’t wait to go back...again!

KOKO is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

The ambience , the service , the food and the cocktails are all a 10/10

Enough said !

I'll be going here again and again to try the entire menu 😍😍😍

Awesome place for Asian food. This place serves delicious sushi and rice. The cocktails they serve is quite interesting. Ambience is good and music just right for Friday night. We had a great time.

The four star rating is purely for the swanky ambiance and interior of the place and the flawless service by the staff which made our lunch a really memorable affair.

The only pain point was the table next to ours which had a bunch of kids and their parents shouting all through the time we were there, which ruined our near perfect family lunch time.

Coming to food, with the exception of my brother, my parents and I do not have the appetite for authentic Asian food, but we came to Koko to try it out anyway, especially the Sushis - so please don't judge the place by my review if you are someone who enjoys pure Asian food

Food we ordered -

1. LEMONGRASS THAI CLEAR SOUP

2. KOKO HOT & SOUR SOUP

Both of the soups were blissful ! Relished every spoonful of it!

3. CRYSTAL DUMPLINGS - Me being a fan of street style momos, didn't appreciate it much, but it wasn't bad.

4. KOKO SPECIAL ROLL
5. CRISPY TATSU ROLL - both the sushis were nice, but we realized Asian food is not really our thing, so did not order for more :)
WAS THERE LAST WEEKEND WITH A FRIEND

THIS PLACE SCREAMS OUT - MOST AMAZING SUSHI IN INDIA.

EVERYTHING THAT IS GOOD COMES AT A PRICE.. BE READY TO PAY THROUGH YOUR NOSE. PRICE COULD HAVE BE BEEN BETTER. NO COMPLAINTS WITH THE FOOD.

By far the best place for cocktails in Mumbai that I have been to. Energy of this place is warm and appealing. You will find the bar tender attending to all you queries and suggesting the right drink for your taste and mood. It’s a pleasure to see the art by which they make the cocktails. Their Sushi is a must try. Place picky up after 11 so if you reach early keep enjoying the drinks till the crowd builds up. Music is really nice and mostly something everyone will enjoy so there won’t be a dull moment. Must visit!
