Review Hemant Oberoi - Mumbai

Suganandan Poojari
There are restaurants that are an experience and there are restaurants that are a notch more than that, An Emotion! This is one such, if I say I loved it!, then it would be understatement. You get to experience perfection in all level food, ambiance and hospitality by pioneer Chef Hemant Oberoi that he gained from his experience in this industry. Let me tell you what I tried : 1) Amuse Bouche - Bite size meal just to excite your taste buds and palate, before you start your meal. French Style. 2) Chilled Melon Gazpacho - A soup which is served cold and melons. Flavourful and delightful. 3) Warm Leeks Cusco Mountain Potato Soup - Warm, creamy and delightful to you palate and throat. This soup is worth falling in love for. 4) Brie and Truffle Soufflé - Creamy brie and truffles are a marriage made in heaven. So creamy and flavourful, served with pepper bread to stabilize the palate. 5) Slow Cooked Lamb Shank - Perfectly cooked and delicious. Each bite will definitely make you saw wow. Loved it. 6) Pollo Brassa Chicken - Served with corn. Chicken was tender and again perfectly cooked. It was like experiencing nothing less then best by Chef Hemant Oberoi. Remarkable and hats off. 7) Three Milk Parfait - Rich cold dessert made with 3 milks (Cow, Sheep & Goat) with caramel lining. Creamy with a very smooth consistency. Simply Outstanding. 8) Chocolate Shawarma - Electrical Shawarma machine that is custom made for Chef Hemant Oberoi and imported, explains how is determined for perfection. Machine bought near your table, you can see the chocolate and cake rolling in front of you. After some time Chef sculpted it and served with in house made rose petals ice-cream. One of a kind experience. I usually mention Highly Recommended in front of each dish . This is one place which, I can tell all are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED dishes!! You can see the excitement in the staff when you ask them to explain the dishes so, kind of them. Recommended to try it strongly if you want to experience true fine dine experience.

Hemant oberoi is a fine dine restaurant located at B.K.C. the ambience is superb.place is neat and tidy. Service is good. Staff is humble. Food is delicious and perfectly curated. I loved the way that have made the place. Seating is spacious with vibrant colors. They have a restaurant and bar as a different section. And that's made in a very subtle way. We went there for Sunday buffet and the variety was great. The spread was nice. The spread included Sushi taco Breads Hummus Baba ghanouj Perushi Quinoa tabbouleh Mini burrata/sun dried tomatoes Cheese platter Tortilla pizza Thyme and broccoli capuchino Corn anticuchos Truffle souffle Paneer Tikka pita Fondue slider Korean vegetables Chocolate pastries Red velvet pastries Mango pastries Over all we had an amazing experience. Loved the way food was made and presented. Very neat, hygienic and well served. Place is so beautiful and staff too. it's a child friendly place and valet is available.

" Hemant Oberoi " * Mic Drop *. The Man. The Legend. It's Just Not Another Restaurant. It's An Adventure Worth Experiencing. The Place Is Done up well. Each corner. Each wall. Everything is perfect and beautiful. The things you have here I'm sure you won't get it anywhere else. The Plating. The cutlery. Everything is perfect. I Tried Few Things. 1. Perushi on chairs Trust me I was super hungry but this was so pretty and perfectly presented that I was just not ready to eat it. I wasted more time clicking photos of it than eating it. It got over in blink of an eye 2. Har Go Steamed Prawns Dim Sum. I being a dim sum lover. Absolutely loved it. 3. Brie & Truffle Souffle This Dish is an Experience all by itself. Its a must have if you love surprises. As I'm sure you will not get this anywhere else. It's a Hemant Oberoi Signature Dish. 4. Lamb Shank The presentation was on point. The taste was on point. It was perfect. 5. Prawns Navarin Prawns And Vidur Kapoor Have A Pure Love Relationship And Prawns Navarin Got us more closer. It was just perfect. 6. Three milk parfait Have Had Many different types of ice creams all over the world. But nothing better than this. I indeed had a memorable experience. Thanks to chef and team.

Hemant Oberoi ! Indeed sounds a brand. It's a beautiful restaurant that left me completely awestruck and full of praise. You feel luxurious as you enter. The elegance and beauty of the restaurant deserves every word of appreciation. There's a soothing vibe that calms you to the alluring aura of the breathtaking ambience. It is located at Bandra Kurla Complex in the Jet Airways building. Talking about service, the staff is absolutely helpful, quick and well mannered. They showcase class hospitality towards customers. Not only take and bring orders, but help you choose dishes providing detailed description. Very polite in their tone. Being a high-end restaurant, you'll always find classy crowd dining. One more aspect I observed about Hemant Oberoi is their practice of cutlery, every spoon, knife, fork is well arranged after changing plates. Beginning with the dishes I had, all of them were rich, fancy, tasty and well presented. Afterall they came from the MasterChef, Hemant Oberoi. MOCKTAIL & COCKTAIL Virgin Mojito Elder White Vintail Sparkling Berry Vintail All the drinks served at Hemant Oberoi are well experimented and after several trials are served. Until they find perfection in what they serve, they do not go ahead with it. 1) Amuse Bouche (Mouth Muser in French) PERUSHI ON CHAIRS - Peruvian Sushi seated on a chair cushioned over carrot leather balanced well with Amarillo Mayo, Rocotto Chilli accompanied with House made soya (Vegetarian delight as it has avocado & cucumber) 2) Tomato Get-together This is a party of the tomatoes - yellow and red cherry tomatoes coming together with a lemon and honey Dress and enjoyed with a Surprise (one that looks like a tomato and tastes like a tomato but not a tomato) 3) Beans on the Plate A steamy dumpling shaped like an edamame and stuffed with chestnuts and edamame served over green and white asparagus and topped with Amarillo Mayo (vegetarian). Quite authentic and unique. 4) Har Go Steamed prawns dim sum along with a poached egg served over green and white asparagus topped with mustard mayonnaise 5) BRIE & TRUFFLE SOUFFLÉ (Hemant Oberoi’s Signature Dish) It’s a steamed and fluffy combo of Brie and truffles accompanied with a Pepper brioche. Tastes very creamy and delicious. Pepper adds up to the flavor. The fluffiness is commendable. Must have dish. 6) Sheesha of Melon Gazpacho A soup served from a sheesha over a bed of three melons (Musk melon, Honey Dew melon and watermelon) having hints of saffron and topped with coconut snow. It's a very healthy green soup. It's not served hot. 7) Warm leek and Cusco Mountain Potato Soup A pervuvian potato soup (vichyssoise) pored from a tea kettle onto a slice of beet, beet paper and sour cream - HOT soup Highly recommended. Very creamy, delicious and flavorful. Served Hot. MAIN COURSE 8) Lamb Shank A slow cooked Lamb shank served on kabocha (Pumpkin puree) and has a pouring of its own sauce garnished with sweetened chilli and Huacatay Oil (Peruvian chilli oil) Very well presented. Tender juicy meat. Loved the plating. 10) Pollo Braso Chicken A whole chicken marinated with Peruvian spices and kept overnight to be served along with its juice and accompanied with a boiled corn portion. 11) Different Textures of Parmesan It’s 4 different textures of Parmesan on one plate 12) Prawns Navarin Prawns placed in a creamy base. Topped with pepper. Served with a sago chip. DESSERTS 13) Chocolate Mille Feuille A layering of dark and white chocolate drops supported on chocolate slabs (finest French Valrhona and finest Belgian Callebaut) A very rich chocolaty dessert. Comes in a small portion but would surely make you drool over it. 14) Three Milk Parfait A rich parfait made with goat milk, cow milk and buffalo milk, garnished with salted caramel and caramel popcorn. Hemant Oberoi is a must go restaurant. You must definitely visit for Dinner. Bookmark it as the next destination for a romantic dinner. Finest and best restaurant for romantic dinner in Mumbai.

Excellent 5* quality food, good ambience, excellent service made it a memorable experience. Both Indian and Continental ( Pastas ) cuisines were good as were the Oriental cuisine Wontons. The desserts were also unique and best quality. Each dish ordered deserved 5 stars. Definitely recommend this as a very good place for special celebrations

Hemant Oberoi, a name well known in the culinary industry. A real life hero, an inspiration to all of us, opened up his own restaurant in the private areas of the Bandra Kurla Complex. The experience of fine dining, redefined. Huge ceiling, french windows that go from ceiling to the floor, luxurious, velvet furnishings, exquisite crockery and glassware. Words cannot define the amount of luxury and experience that we get here. Hospitality is beyond expectations, the staff is worth 5 stars and each and every small thing is taken care of with exquisite nature. I visited for the Sunday brunch with a few friends as we were in the mood to indulge. We started with glasses of red wine and moved on to the mezze laid on the table. What I liked about the buffet table is that there were individual small containers, which we could pick up for ourselves, instead of picking up from one big bowl. This is was defines fine dining, a difference between the regular buffet and a luxurious fine dine buffet. Hummus : A perfect cold mezze, the right amount of flavor in the hummus. Baba Ghanouj : Made of aubergines, amazing, smooth, smoky flavor. Loved it with pita bread. Quinoa Tabbouleh : My favorite salad from now on, a cute small bowl in which they serve this. Fresh ingredients, never knew quinoa could be this good. Cold Cut Meats - Pork pepperoni, Chicken Salami, Turkey Salami : Very fresh, very smoothly cut. Loved it. Assorted Cheese : No explanation required. Fresh cheese, loved having with wine. Mini Burrata : Fresh Mozzarella along with sun-dried tomatoes. Perfectly balanced. The following food items were served to us on the table.. Thyme and Broccoli Cappuccino : I never knew I would have something this healthy. They serve it in small, cute, espresso cups, with a celery stick. Loved it. Chicken Anticuchos : Chicken pieces marinated and cooked in skewers in Peruvian spices and then finished off on the tandoor. Chicken was so perfectly cooked that it melted in the mouth. Spiciness and flavor was just yumm yumm yumm. I could eat it forever. Edamame and Chestnut Dumplings : One more unexpected love of mine. Edamame is the last thing I would have at home or choose to have any where, but tried it here after my friends said its good. It changed my perspective of edamame. The outer cover of the dumplings was cooked perfectly, edamame and chestnut flavor was just delicious. Brie and Truffle Souffle : A 5star dish, I can never praise this dish enough. I am so in love with this dish, I didnt want to eat anything else and just wished that my plate wouldn't be empty and that I could keep eating the souffle forever n forever n forever.. The truffle flavor was so so prominent, that upon serving the dish, we instantly fell in love. ne bite and I was in heaven. Second bite and I didn't wana come back. It literally was melt in the mouth, I didn't have to chew on it coz it was just so soft. They served this with a toasted bread on the side, which helped in finishing the liquids from the souffle. I am going back for this again n again. Mini Lacy Lamb Sliders : This was a mini burger. Juicy, lamb patty, with an omelette inside, and onion and tomato slices, in between fresh burger bun. Amazing. Lamb flavor was so fresh and the omlette just complimented the lamb. For desserts, we got all 3 desserts in one plate. Red Velvet Cake - Soft, fresh, flavorful. Trio of Chocolate - Must have for chocolate lovers, very very soft. Mango Cheesecake - Heaven on plate. A mango piece on top, and baked cheesecake on the bottom. Best cheesecake of my life. The whole time that we spent here was worth every penny, indeed.. Its a place that makes you wana come back, for the food and for the experience and of course the hospitality.

Hemant Oberoi is one of the best options for some special occasion and lovely dinner. Coming from such a great chef, the food is indeed something out of the box. Got a chance to try some of the dishes and they were Warm Potato Soup (instant fan!) then tried the Cold Coconut and Gazpacho soup. The super soft and crazy texture of Brie and Truffle Souffle was really something which went on on my mind for a long time. Slow Cooked Lamb Shank, Pollo Brassa Chicken, Three Mushroom Ravioli, and the Asparagus Risotto were a part of the main courses following up with chocolate shawarma and Rose petal ice cream! yes, Rose Petal ice cream was really really the best part of the meal for me. Each and every dish had its own greatness of cooking and flavor which made our whole experience outstanding!

Food is exceptional. The presentation artistic. Is expensive. But then quality comes with price!

Food created by one of the best chefs in India. Good ambience just a tad bit pricey but still worth the money!

Well.... it’s a saying... first impression is last impression... we ordered our appetiser,non-veg platter n when d dish was served n I picked up lamb chop there was hair strand on it.... a dish which with taxes wud b appx Rs 4500 n a hair strand in it Though d staff apologised numerous times n they did serve us complimentary sorbet n replaced d dish but... damage was too big to be filled up by these things ( nt in monetary terms)!!! One can’t expect these things in a high end n renowned chef’s restaurant... Hygiene n cleanliness is d first n foremost thing one looks for in a restaurant!!!

Went there last night for our anniversary dinner. Was really looking forward to an awesome experience (after all, flagship restaurant... it's by the legend himself). These are our takes... 1. Ambience: Bad. I mean yes the overall ambience is fine but the chairs are terrible, uncomfortable, can't sit properly because of the tables. Something needs to be done ASAP. No legspace, too much manspreading needed :( I guess this is an issue with the 2 seaters. 2. Food. We decided to go for the 6 courses set menu. The food was all good and tasty and extremely well presented. We had the perushi which came on a tiny chair, lovely presentation. tasted OK. The crab meat sphere was good, esp the bisque, but we have had far better tasting and more innovative phoochkas in Kolkata (Bohemian), esp the puri itself wasn't that great. The beet cured salmon was too good. Small in portion but that's OK. The Chilean sea-bass was very good, esp the rice and spinach part. Was the prawn really good (not fresh? not so sure)? The lamb shanks tasted very good. I am not a big lamb fan but it was OK this time. Great jus. A sorbet was served as palate cleanser. Avoidable. The peru peru mocktail was average. The best part was after all the chocolate shawarma... it wasn't part of the set menu but they were kind enough to include that on request. Best chocolate dish we ever had in Mumbai. Period. Looked great while it was getting curved by the chef. Wonderful rose petal ice cream to go along with that. Oh I missed the signature dish, was it the ceviche? Looked OK but tasted heavenly! 3. Service: Very good. Every dish was explained in detail. The table was well attended. 4. Value For Money? Absolutely not. I understand it's fine dining and all, but ~15k for 2 of us for a 6 course meal is not justifiable by any standard. To put things in perspective, Masala Library BKC, which isn't exactly a roadside dhaba charges ~3k per person for a 12 course tasting menu. But yes, it was our anniversary, so, I guess once in a while such splurging is fine! :)

Truly international affair!! With hints of zodiac grill in the menu including a few of the zodiac grill classic dishes, impressive presentation, i just found menu to be little short of variety, would love to see hemant adding a few of his masala craft dishes to the menu too. Overall excellent!

Super uncomfortable seating. Don't book a table for 2. No leg room. I spent the evening with my legs apart, while my wife spent it seated diagonally. Decidedly average food. I enjoyed the brie souffle, and the amuse bouche, but the rest if the food was, in my humble opinion below average. The chocolate shwarma was supposed to have a crust, but if you ask me it was plain burnt. For the price, it's entirely avoidable.

The ambience was beautiful, the staff very courteous , service was superb, food was yummy. But i feel the portions were extremely small, it can be better. On the whole a lovely dinner we had. Enjoyed.

@hemantoberoibkc
Visited this place twice.
A friend of mine was hungry for gourmet food (in my mother's language not really hungry). So ended up here for an upscale culinary experience. I miss those random dinner plans @vinnygala
Second time it was a planned dinner with my then not always in town friend @drub.sharma
The foods good and not so heavy on the pocket, thanks to Zomato gold.

Donot miss the Brie truffle soufflé and the Avacado tortilla pizza. Absolute stunner.
The experience of the chocolate shawarma being curated right in front of you was different and we loved the taste and the theatre.

We have also tried the chai crème bruleé but prefer the chocolate shawarma anyday.

#finedinediary #hemantoberoi #luxurydining #avacadotortilla #pizza #brietruffle #soufflé #chaicrèmebrûlée #chocolateshawarma #foodphotography #foodfortheday #foodporn #mumbaifoodie #mumbailuxurydining #stayhome #staysafe #toothtotummy

Awesome experience , great service and such a gorgeous ambience ! Must try avocado pizza and asparagus risotto !

I was here to celebrate my anniversary. I had ordered for 3 mushroom ravioli. The dish was aweful.. The taste of mushroom was totally absent, there was a garnishing of foam, which was tasteless.. And the ravioli was completely soaked in liquid butter.. It was like I was drinking butter.

When I shared my feedback with the staff, all the did was said a sorry and left. There was no courtesy of offering a replacement, any complementary dish to make up for the tasteless food or any sort of comfort... that you would expect when you are visiting such an exclusive restaurant

The dish was priced at 1695!! Such a waste of my money, time and my precious occassion got royally spoiled.
Chitrakshi
The worst experience. Horribly over priced. Pathetic service and the portion of the food is so little could only fill up a baby’s stomach!!! HORRIBLE

Hemant oberoi a place with classy interior and luxurious experience.
As you enter in the restaurant , You will get an experience of fine dining with double hight ceiling, luxurious furnishing and crockery.
.

Menu here has global cuisines perfectly crafted with love...
Not only food but hospitality gets 5 stars... They have a small bar section with seating.
.
Beverages -
We tried few cocktails and mocktails and all the beverages were refreshing and complementing to the dishes.
.

Truffled humus -
Humus was super tasty and it had a strong flavour of truffle so truffle lovers this is a must .

Open faced sushi -
This was something unique dish that we tried.
Good looking of 'em all with all the colors and taste.

Avacado and tortilla pizza -
It was a perfect combination of tortilla base , avocado and pizza sauces. The size was little small but it's a good to start with.

Four ways Parmesan Gnocchi -A must try for pasta lovers.

Dessert -
Chocolate shawarma -
This is the signature dish of the restaurent. Three types of chocolate is piled up on the Shawrma stick and after heating it's removed on your plate. A must dessert for all the dessert especially Chocolate lovers.

.
Overall an amazing place to visit. The prices are quite at higher side but the experience is worth it.

Finally visited this restaurant which was on my list since a while now.

Minimal, elegant interiors, high ceiling, gives a very sofesticated and classy vibe.

The service is excellent, the staff is well trained and kind.

Coming to food ..

We tried a couple of dishes
Truffle Naan With Mushrooms - this was a naan pizza. Quite flavorful and delicious.

Leek and Potato Soup- my son loved the soup. It was really delicious. Smooth, creamy served with Beetroot chips

Korean Tofu Mushroom Bibimbap- not really a bibimbap but nonetheless delicious. The sauce was made well and overall good flavors.

Avocado Tortilla Pizza- this was crunchy and flavorful. I would have loved more avocado on it.

Sushi- it was decent. Could have been better.

Brie Truffle Souffle- This was the most unusual dish I ever tried. Eggless and extremely flavorful souffle.. with a wierd texture.. felt like a foam jelly in the mouth...but delicious. Couldn't eat too much of it though. Better to share.

Edamame Chestnut Dimsums- good.. the sauce was delicious. The asparagus below was fibrous so couldn't be eaten. Overall a good dish.

Mocktails were decent.

We did not try desserts here.

Overall a decent experience.
Wish they improve on portion size and presentation.

Food- 4/5
Ambiance- 4.5/5
Service- 4/5
Vfm- 3/5
Return Index- 3.5/5

Very heavy on your Wallet and little on plate, that's the description for this place located in BKC. You can't even think of having a sip of cocktail or wine as if they are doing some favor by serving you at a price even Ambanis will think twice before placing an order. Hemant Oberoi (HO) you are certainly not a He-Man of restaurant business. Painstakingly high prices and loot lo attitude of the waiting staff. My goodness I was saved, because I did not order any spirits. HO should start EMI facility for those who can't afford to pay the bill after having just about 2-3 dishes.

Too expensive. More expensive than even the 5 star hotels. I guess that is the reason of they not having their menu on zomato. I's ok to be more expensive if you show some value. Good quality was very average. Vegs we had in the main course were too raw to be be broken and eaten. Portion size is just for kids. At the end of the dinner (after ordering like 6 items) we were not even half full. We went to Aslam after that to satisfy our appetite. I doubt if anyone who visits here will go there the 2nd time. I never would. Also the service was faulty. Multiple times they got the wrong breads and when told replaced them all.

A special occasion gone wrong by choosing this place.

Brie & Truffle Soufflé is the best followed by Truffle Hummus, Beans on Plate, Cry O PAC Mushroom and Three milk Parfait. The white wine La Chevaliere Chardonnay is fantastic

The menu choice was limited. Quantity is not sufficient for even one person. It is expensive. The ambience and service was good.

To start with food - The food preparations were okay.

So I understand the Zomato Gold policy of 2 ID per table but we were actually 2 groups but were said since we were sitting together treated as 1 group.

No major qualms on that bit though as the food menu is small enough that I could cook more dishes (i dont cook). Prices were on expected lines but overall not worth the 4star rating it currently has on Zomato considering it covers food too.

Let down by the ratings.

Plus side - staff was courteous, we were a difficult group i say. And pickle was good.

Date of Visit - 25/10/2019

Too much on the bill, very little on the plate! Not worth the hype.

We went for a lunch on a Saturday afternoon to this place. There was a private dining going on in one corner of the restaurant and us on the other table. It was empty otherwise. Most of the people come for the Sunday brunch which is like more value for money if you don’t want to spend too much.

Ambience : The ambience was amazing. Loved the high ceiling which is a rarity in Bombay these days. Really nice for a date night and for private parties. Tasteful decor. You get a good feel as soon as you enter.

Most of the ingredients in this restaurant are imported ! Hence it is on the expensive side. Every dish, has ingredients sourced from some country 😊 it’s a five star experience for special occasions.

Food :

Truffle hummus - delicately flavoured and nice presentation. However, it didn’t come with pita bread. Generally everywhere hummus comes with complimentary pita bread but here you had to order.

Peruvian grilled prawns - spicy prawns with a jalapeño mayo dip. Very flavourful.

Slow cooked lamb shank - meaty , nice , served with a jus. Bit of pumpkin purée and seeds for crunch. A grilled jalapeño on top. Lovely flavours.

Cry o pac mushroom ravioli - this was really amazing. Ravioli was melt in the mouth. Best I’ve eaten. They have a cry o pac machine in which they pack it after preparation and open it when served on table. Must have over here. Comes along with crunchy oats n some foam and micro greens to add to the flavours.

Dessert - kahlua mousse - ended the meal with this chocolate goodness.

All in all, come here for those special occasions. Food is amazing. And special mention to the servers , they were very courteous and polite.

No one could fault the hospitality and the willingness to please at Hermant Oberoi's BKC restaurant. The heroic stories of his team shielding guests at his former culinary residence of the Taj are testament to that vocation.

Service outperforms the food by a significant margin here, however. Waiters play genial hosts and sincerely engage patrons with knowledge of what comes out of the kitchen shutters. The components of the dishes are meticulously detailed and even a couple of anecdotes are shared along the way. Although I hasten to add, none that I remember 2 weeks post the occasion.

This type of service is a good start to any fine-dining experience, as is the Camembert Soufflé. The souffle is perfectly risen and light; in short, a perfect example of classic French cookery. At this point, I’m feeling slightly easier about parting with so much coinage (between 5-10k per head – about 100$) for the pleasure. However, any confidence in the fare slowly evaporates with an onslaught of dishes that are ill-conceived and lack the merit of a veritable fine-dine institution.

A vivid green pea risotto was heavy, under-seasoned and overcooked. I diplomatically relayed the feedback to the waiter, who to his credit, served me another portion, heavier on the truffle and thoroughly seasoned. It still should be back to the drawing board on this one. If the kitchen needs some inspiration on the Italian front, they should walk a few metres down the road to Cin-Cin.

A crab ‘en croute’ affair was heavy on the garlic and the quality of crab a question mark. As a youngster, having eaten freshly caught Whitby (a small seaside town in Yorkshire) dressed crabs, I think the bar might be unreasonably high. A pot of chicken starter, ostensibly oriental, was passable; I assume more a bar snack than a fan-fare beginning.

The most risible of all has to be the chocolate shawarma dessert. I’ve never seen anything quite like it in my entire life. The waiter explained how the restaurant had searched the lengths of the globe for a “rotisserie” to warm a log of chocolate cake. After about 10 minutes of watching the chocolate become molten (quite literally) around a spinning stick, the waiter proceeded to “carve” and serve the cake. The result was a plate of mushed up burnt chocolate cake with a side of ice cream. You couldn’t make this up if you tried, seriously.

With the eloquent service, amateur theatrics and complimentary dishes along the way, you would be forgiven for not seeing the forest for the trees here.

AA Connoisseur

Food quality is good, but prices are a little unreasonable. Quantity per dish is also very less, looking at the amount you are paying for the dishes. Not value for money. Go , if you love the taste of food, but not worried about the cost.

Been here on rakshabandhan with my cousins for a lunch... as you enter the place the ambience is great which gives you the feel of 5 star place and fine dining... zomato gold works.. interiors are really good with good decor.. avacado pizza was superb.. delicious food thought quanity is very less since its a fine dining place.. good location.. must go and explore it.. some great mocktails too

Do not get fooled by the menu uploaded on Zomato. The actual menu at the restaurant has prices 2.5 TIMES HIGHER than what is shown here. Please check the image along with this review for confirming the same. This is the 1st time that I have experienced such fradulent activity by any restaurant on Zomato and you kind of feel cheated when you land at the place and realise the con.

Zomato , kindly correct this unethical situation from your end, for your users' sake.

Nonetheless, we still decided to try 2-3 dishes. The food is alright, very well decorated, though moderately tasty and with VERY small portion sizes.
The only highlight is the staff who are extremely polite, helpful and courteous - the saving grace of the restaurant.
In any case, at the end you are left with a very bitter taste in your mouth as the experience was definitely marred by the misdirection.

Amazing ambience and classy fine dine restaurant. The staff is impressively courteous and too sweet. Surprisingly they serve good variety of Jain food too.

I would recommend this place if u want to experience Rich fine dine only... as the food does not taste very good.
I guess they must improve the taste of food and also increase the quantity.

Overall I would say it's a deccent place.

BEWARE !TWO DIFF PRICE LIST FOR SAME MENU and extremely SMALL portion size with EXHORBITANT prices.

The ambience is lovely and friendly staff but food is very average with extremely SMALL portion size with EXHORBITANT pricing
It's more hyped up than actual good food

I was charged double the price for the menu I ordered as compared to the price uploaded online. On asking I was told that they have diff rates for lunch nd dinner which is not ethical... as they have not uploaded their dinner rates which is actually double.

Picked this place randomly for sunday lunch... and must say everything about this place is impeccable. Lip smacking food, classy interiors and warm hospitality. Aditi Jain and Mr. Alex were highlights of the day.

It was my son's 13th birthday. We went to HO on a weekday for dinner. Had done a prior booking via Zomato. The ambience of the place is very excusite. High ceilings n silence which is a rarity in Bombay restaurants, made us feel very fresh ( after my long day in office ). We ordered a Cry O Pac Ravioli ( awesome ) A Bibimbap Vegetable (for my sons love for BTS, was good), A cancan panee ( good ), n finally since the portions were very small a martaban Chole ( which were very average ).
All the dishes cost anywhere between 1050 to 1650. A good thing about the restaurant, they accepted two zomato gold 1 + 1 on food on a table of four, which most of the restaurants in Bombay dont do. Our overall bill was 5500 with two mocktails, still alkaline water Bottle n 3 extra naans.

5 stars for Service, Cutlery, Crockery ( the plates were of a very design, helping u scoop easily, 5 for Ambience, 4 for Food

I would like to revisit for the buffet on one of the weekdays for my final review.

This place belongs to a culinary celebrity chef ,Hemant Oberoi who is known for its food . Talking about restaurant let me tell you once you enter the ambience will blow you with its exquisite beauty .It's a fine dinning restaurant and food just looks beautiful.
You get Mezze platters including babaganush, hummus and so on . Cheese plater , my favourite was truffle souffle and broccoli and mint soup. You can't take your eyes off , as dishes are so well presented and delectable and mouth watering.

Good fusion place with various cuisines and options to choose from. Recommend the A la carte menu to choose from various options. Good vegetarian options too!

Hemant Oberoi is one of the most sophisticated dining experiences in Mumbai. Really loved the ambience, food was great especially the Lamb Shank, some interesting new concepts although the appetiser portions and service could’ve been better is what I feel. Overall, a decent experience.

Very disappointed with the service. Restaurant denid gold offer (1+1 on food) despite of being a gold partner saying their contract expired yesterday. However as per zomato, the restaurant is still a gold food partner . Zomato has assured they will confirm the nuances but Whatever the issue is customer should ideally get benefit of doubt but sadly restaurant is not concerned about the customer . Hope zomato will be more responsible in their action

Excellent environment and very friendly staff . Very patiently explained the deeper parts of the dishes which was helpful in final dish selection

A lucky Sunday to dine here at this legendary wizard's restaurant. The Chef who served for almost 32 years at India's gem of a place Taj Mahal Palace. Now he has his own restaurant where it speaks of world class cuisine served in the most classy ambiance. Truly a splendid experience of dinning.

Once you enter you see the magnanimous high ceiling with all wooden and gold frames with the plush sitting options. Ofcourse the staff offers best of the service and hospitality.

The Sunday brunch is well curated with the finest of food to offer. The buffet setup is limited but yet has almost all unique salads, cheese, deeps, cold cuts. Appetizers and mains are served on table with sweet ending desserts.

The star of the brunch was Brie Truffle Soufflé which was too aromatic, oozing the truffle fragrance. Soft fluffy Soufflé made of Brie cheese with truffle was impeccable.

Chicken Tikka Pita was another good option where it is served in a Taco version. Pita bread stuffed with nice pulled Chicken topped with spiced onions.

Desserts had a platter of Mango cheesecake, chocolate trio and red velvet pastry. The brunch definitely ended on a sweet note.

Overall the experience was unforgettable where we could taste the food by the maestro Hemant Oberoi sir. It certainly costs a bit but the experience is surely worth. Ofcourse the huge list of loyal patrons of Oberoi sir are regular here.

Recently visited one of the most amazing restaurants in the city by Chef Hemant Oberoi who is one the most popular names in the culinary industry for the exquisite dishes he’s curated over the years. I was here for it’s Spectacular Sunday Brunch which comprises of different courses and drinks.
Started off our meal with a glass of wine and then moved on my trying their Buffet Spread consisting of different varieties of cold meats, salads, hummus and Sushi. A special mention to the lip-smacking SushiTaco which was a part of this spread too. Crunch tacos stuffed with sushi turned out to be such a lovely combination altogether.
The next part of our meal was pretty interesting which consisted of different courses and were served on the table itself. Mentioned below are few of the dishes which were a part of the course meal:
✅TortillaPizza- The best part about this Pizza was that it had avocado paste added along with cheese sauces on top of Tortilla. It truly was a delight for an Avocado Lover like me.
✅ThymeAndBrocolliCappuccino- Which is a rhyme and broccoli flavoured soup. Creamy, thick and soothing for the tastebuds.
✅BrieTruffleSouffle- This is one of their signature dish and words fall short to define how good this dish turned out to be. Right from the presentation to its mouth-watering taste, everything about this dish was beyond perfection.
✅ChickenAnticuchos- Charcoal Chicken in the form of skewers alongside mildly spiced dip was truly delicious.
✅ChickenTikkaPita- ChickenTikka stuffed in Pita bread. Pretty casual, nothing very great about this dish.
✅FondueSliders- Truly relished every bit of this slider stuffed with veggies and melting cheese.
✅BlackBowlShrimpLaksa- LaksaCurry Bowl consisting of flatnoodles and shrimps was filling and mouthwatering too.

✅DessertPlatter- This was the last part of our course which had three differently flavoured pastries. So delectable and irresistibly yum.

Overall, I truly had on of the most pleasant meal at the HemantOberoi Sunday Brunch. Highly impressed with the hospitable service this place has to offer. However, the brunch is a bit steeply priced but both the quantity as well as the quality of the dishes justify it. Can’t wait to be back here for another fun meal.

So excited to dine at this prestigious restaurant. We headed for a Sunday brunch with friends. This is not an ordinary brunch, it's an experience. Of course you got to pay a premium for some luxury. It's a sit down lunch with some cheese boards, appetizer and salads, breads on buffet setup. Rest everything is served on table. The menu is available on each table. You can order the servings as per your will.

Definitely yes the food is without a doubt delicious. It has to be the best since it's a menu curated by the man himself who dedicated his life's 3 decades at countries prestigious hotel Taj Mahal Palace.

Thyme and Broccoli Cappuccino :

I never knew I would have something this healthy. They serve it in small, cute, espresso cups, with a celery stick. Loved it.

Chicken Anticuchos :

Chicken pieces marinated and cooked in skewers in Peruvian spices and then finished off on the tandoor. Chicken was so perfectly cooked that it melted in the mouth. Spiciness and flavor was just yumm yumm yumm. I could eat it forever.

Edamame and Chestnut Dumplings :

One more unexpected love of mine. Edamame is the last thing I would have at home or choose to have any where, but tried it here after my friends said its good. It changed my perspective of edamame. The outer cover of the dumplings was cooked perfectly, edamame and chestnut flavor was just delicious.

Brie and Truffle Souffle :

A 5star dish, I can never praise this dish enough.

Hemant Oberoi is located in BKC and it is on the same building of Butterfly High and it is accurately available on Google Maps hence easy to locate.

Chef Hemant Oberoi needs no introduction. He is the corporate chef and grand executive chef of the Taj chain of hotels. A multiple award winner, including the Executive Chef of the Year Award by H&FS Hosts, he brings over 30 years of culinary expertise to the table and hence dining here is an amazing fine dine experience.

The restaurant is spacious and seatings are comfortable. Tables are arranged systematically and away from each other. They have a small bar section as well with seatings over there too. The huge curtains kept looks outstanding. The high ceiling with a creative chandelier looks great. Overall the vibe of the place is really good and calm.

The menu here has global cuisines, set meals and brunch is available too. Every dish here is plated to perfection and they all look picture worthy. Prices are high but at places like these you actually can't complain about that plus the serving portions are for one person.

I went here for Sunday brunch and chose unlimited food plus soft beverage deal @3250. The spread had sushi, taco sushi, breads, Lebanese mezze, cold cuts, various type of cheese and some other creative dishes were there as well. Apart from this they have kept a menu wherein you can choose soup, appetizer, mains and desserts which gets served on the table. Overall the spread was decent and I would personally prefer more things to be added to this.

The service was little slow as on the table served food is freshly prepared and hence it took more time. However it was smooth from start till the end and they remember perfectly what you have ordered so no goof ups were made.

The Brunch Had -
ON THE BUFFET TABLE~
Sushi Tacos.
Baba Ghanouj.
Hummus.
Perushi. (Veg/Non Veg)
Quinoa Tabbouleh.
Mini Burrata | Sundried Tomatoes.
Dill Curred Salmon.
Cheese Platter.
Cold Meat Platter.
Chicken & Olive Terrine.
From the off the table spread I loved the sushi, the taco sushi, cold cuts and hummus as they tasted really good and every dish had amazing flavours.

SERVED ON THE TABLE~
Brie & Truffle Souffle -
This was the dish of the day. Fluffy souffle topped with brie cheese & aromatic truffle oil tasted outstanding. The moment this dish arrived on the table the truffle oil aroma just mesmerise you. Taste wise it was perfect. It melts in your mouth, the cheese adds the creamy texture and the truffle oil gives the earthiness.

Tortilla Pizza -
Crisp tortilla topped with creamy cheese and avacado tasted decent. I loved the combination and the tortilla base was perfect for this.

Chicken Anticuchos -
A Peruvian dish. Chicken skewers with amazing marination and grilled to perfection tasted brilliant. The chicken had amazing juiciness plus the texture was great.

Paneer Tikka Pita -
Soft pita bread filled with scrambled paneer and topped with coriander chilli chutney mix onions tasted nice. The paneer was black pepper based still not too pungent. I liked this flavours and the warm soft pita was perfect for this.

Fondue Sliders -
One of the tastiest & cheesiest slider. Not patty based. This had mix of bell peppers, onions and olives with cheese dripping all kept between fresh soft buns. The veggies had nice crunch plus the cheese was brilliant in it.

Shrimp Laksa -
A Southeast Asian dish. Thin coconut milk curry with noodles, boiled egg and juicy jumbo shrimps tasted great. The curry was rich in flavours and spices were used perfectly. The shrimp were fresh and everything in this dish was superb.

DESSERTS~
Red Velvet Cheesecake.
Mango Cheesecake.
Chocolate Cheesecake
All the three desserts tasted brilliant and all the three were not too sweet and trust me you will definitely go for round two.

So the meal at Hemant Oberoi was good as the experience itself was wonderful however some more addition to the brunch will be good.

Hemant Oberoi – This place is all about experience and opulence. From the entry the way you are greeted, to the sheer high ceiling, wooden yet minimal décor gives you no less than Michelin Star kind of experience. I had been here for a brunch buffet experience which costs details are as Brunch+soft beverages at Rs. 3250 +taxes, Brunch+Prosecco at Rs. 3950 +taxes and Brunch+Alcohol is Rs. 4500 +taxes.

In cold cuts it consisted of Hummus with pita bread, Sushi, Sushi tacos, Baba Ganouj, Cheese platter, etc and they were great way to start our brunch out there! Cant complain a bit as each item was oozing the highest quality of each dish and was nearly perfect.

Further, their concept on table had items like Tortilla pizza, Thyme and broccoli cappuccino, chicken anticuchos, truffle soufflé, chicken tikka pita, fondue sliders and Korean vegetable black bowl. Out of the lot the least liked dish was chicken anticuchos as the flavors in it were not as delectable as it looked. Otherwise, the broccoli cappuccino was beautiful in presentation and definitely soothing to drink in rainy weather (you would want more than once), truffle soufflé is one of the most fanciest item available at HO and garunteed if you are a truffle oil fan you are going to lick this plate up (that good).

In desserts we had mango cheese cake, chocolate cake and red velvet. The bites were pretty tiny in my opinion and I expect them to kindly increase the size but otherwise, best of the lot was chocolate cake and least fav was red velvet imo.

Overall the experience at HO is magnificent and definitely worth a visit for once atleast. Pricing seems slightly on higher side given the limited offering they have but nonetheless, it is worth every penny from experience perspective and hence for that I rate this place a 5.

Terrible experience last evening..

Walked in on Monday evening, and the restaurant was empty - the lady at the reception asked if I have a reservation.. I said no, and she tried to throw an attitude by saying she will have to check.. I pointed her to all empty tables inside, so she laughed and escorted me inside.. Through my dinner, there were 75% empty tables, so not sure why this unnecessary attitude. Anyways, that’s besides the point..

It was raining outside and they brought cold towels for us. We reminded them that we would have preferred a warm towel in this weather.. They went back and brought cold towels again after 10 mins..

Ordered 1 starter and 2 main course dishes for 2 people. During the order, clearly called out that I love John Dory so ordering that one. After waiting for 30 mins, they bring only 1 starter and 1 main course. After waiting another 10 mins to see why John Dory is taking more time, I get to know that they’ve forgotten to place my order. Forgot ? Really ? With 75% empty tables ? Wonder whether the serving staff has been trained for basic service or only for the attitude during check-in..

Great quality food with awesome presentation - comes with the reputation of one of the most celebrated Chefs from the Taj fame.. But these service experiences do leave a very bad taste, and the tolerance levels at such elite restaurants are very low coz one goes there with some seriously high expectations.

Not sure if I would want to visit them again when I’ve so many other choices..

Visited this fine dining today for Sunday Brunch. The ambience is dim and all the tables were perfectly set and laid out beautifully before I arrived. There was a brunch buffet setup of all the starters. Varieties of mezze, including hummus, baba ghanoush, quinoa tabbouleh were spread. Sushi and perushi as well as sushi tacos were available in the vegetarian section. There was also cold cuts and nonveg sushi in the nonveg section. They also had a cheese board with a selection of wine pairings. I tried two Mocktails- Kiwi Bland and Red Mary which had watermelon and cranberry. Both were great but the latter was much more refreshing. After this there was a series of courses starting off with avocado tortilla pizza which was amazing. Loved the look and taste of it. Second course had thyme brocolli soup which was super thick and rich in flavours. The taste was spectacular and that's why I called for a repeat of it. This was definitely a highlight of the meal. The third course was edamame dumplings which were again garlicky and yum. I really enjoyed these. Portion of 2 pieces was served per person. Fourth course was corn anticuchos with mint green chutney. This was quite average. Could have skipped. After this fifth course was their best course. The famous Oberoi Truffle Soufflé. This was presented in style because its the Chef's special and it was fantastic. HIGHLY RECOMMEND everyone to try this for the texture, flavours and plating. It was a visual and sensory delight at the least. The next course was Paneer Tikka pita pockets which was again average. I think their Indian vegetarian courses could be improved for sure. After this the for the seventh course was fondue Sliders which were absolutely amazing! I loved the amount of cheese used and even the filling was good. The burger buns were soft. Eighth course was our final main course, Korean vegetable which was like a ramen bowl kinds. It had gravy, veggies and rice in a Korean flavour which was again visually appealing as well as tasty. Final course was the dessert in which we had 3 mini pastries- red velvet, triple chocolate and Mango Cheesecake. I loved the triple chocolate the most.

Overall I was super satisfied with this meal and it was definitely worth the money. The plating, flavours and food was all great. Special thanks to my server Chaitangi who helped me choose amazing Mocktails too.
Fine dine is truly redefined at the Hemant Oberoi!
The decòr and ambience is exquisite. The high ceiling chandeliers and the courteous staff give you the feel of being at a high end restaurant. ❤️

I paid a visit to this restaurant for the Sunday Brunch.
It was all I could ask for when it comes to brunch, definitely Sunday done right.

It's a lovely spread that they have and ideally I'd recommend dishes to try and I liked almost everything here😍

They have a buffet spread of various items as following :
Breads , Hummus, Baba Ganoush , Perushi veg and non veg ( Sushi) , Cold meat cuts like Turkey Pastrami, Chicken , Pepperoni, Sushi Taco, Olive and Chicken Terrine, Dill cured Salmon and Burrata.

Absolutely loved the cold meat cuts, Perushi and Dill cured Salmon.

They also had an amazing cheese platter which when combined with Rivolio (Red wine) was a match made in heaven.

Moving onto their 8 course meal that's served at the table, had the following :
Tortilla Pizza - Tiny pizza with a bomb of flavours.
Thyme and Broccoli Cappuccino - Served in a little cup, it was amazing.
Chicken Anticuchos - Looks like kebabs served with a delicious mint sauce.
Truffle Souffle - One of the signature dishes. It was so soft and it melts in your mouth. It was divine.
Chicken Tikka Pita - Delicious chicken tikka in a pita bread.
Mini lacy Lamb sliders - Loved the luicy lamb
Shrimp Laksa- Coconut based curry with shrimp and flat noodles. Burst of Malaysian flavours.
For dessert they served mango cheesecake , red velvet cake and a chocolate mouse pastry.

Loved the variety and the flavours, the best part was that I could have it all because of the serving size.

This is an ideal brunch for me. The cost ranges from Rs. 3500-4500 for this brunch depending on choice of beverages. The service made me feel so pampered, absolutely loved it.

Do try this brunch!
This place with really beautiful and classy interiors at BKC, opposite we work building, is the place to be if you love fine dine and splurging once your money on food.

They have started a new Sunday Brunch starting from Rs. 3500+ taxes.
The menu is not extensive enough but is filling.
We went about 4 hours while sipping on great wine and binging on all the dishes they had to offer us.

Must try their Hummus, it's absolutely worth it, it's so smooth 😍
Also I loved the Edmame dumplings, the filling was done really well.
Heard of Sushi Taco? You'll find it here!! It's a sushi stuffed inside a deep fried Taco.

The Paneer tikka pita had a very soft pita bread and the filling had a complete north indian touch to it.

Not to miss on desserts, the mango cheesecake topped my list, the chocolate pastry was good too, while the red velvet cake was average.

Thanks to the staff for their service and making it a memorable experience for us.

PS. Attached the menu for your reference.
Sunday done right at Hemant Oberoi’s lavish Brunch Buffet.

From his journey in the kitchen of Taj Chef Hemant Oberoi has brought his experience, excellence and grandeur to this restaurant which truly defines all of these components in its food, service and interiors. I can say one of the the lavish fine dine restaurants around BKC, that guarantees you a royal treatment.

We visited this place for the Weekend Brunch which costs around ₹ 3950 + Taxes. They have a very minimal and short Brunch Menu which has the best & delicious dishes from the kitchen. The Brunch is divided into Two parts; viz On the Buffet Table and Served on the Table~

What we tried from The Buffet Table:
(This was a mix of Asian, Continental, Mediterranean and European cuisines)

Sushi Tacos
Baba Ghanouj
Hummus & Pita Bread
Cheese Platter
Mini Buraata and many more such items.

What we tried from Served on the Table Menu:

Tortilla Pizza
Chicken Anticuchos
Brie Truffle Soufflé
Chicken Tikka Pita
Chicken Slider
Black Bowl Shrimp Laksa

Desserts:
I’m Desserts we tried the Mango Cheesecake, Red Velvet Cake & Chocolate Trio cake.

Overall: A great place to visit for a lavish Buffet Brunch.

Very Few Places Manage To Beat The Hype Around Hemant Oberoi. A menu curated by Chef Hemant Oberoi himself would be second to none that's a given and that was the case on this Lovely Sunday Brunch.

Starting with a wonderful glass of Broken Fish White Wine I must say the rest of the afternoon was pretty much set! Followed by a spread of sushi's, Sushi Taco's (Yeap You heard it right) which were topped with paprika and a assortment of cheese I must say it was the best possible start to a brunch!

Tortilla Pizza? Have you heard of it. A everpresent avocado with some cheeze and pizza sauce made it a mirror of thin crust pizza. The flavors were slightly tangy and cheesy but worth the money.

Then up was Thyme & Broccoli Cappuccino. This was a slightly thicker soup with a slightly savory taste with a strong aroma of thyme.

Paneer Tikka Pita: I must say probably the most Flavorsome dish of the day. With pita I expected the Native Paneer Tikka to be submerged but that wasn't the case. They had Paneer Filling topped with flavored capsicum which made it taste a yard better than it usually would have!

Fondue Slider was miniature burger with a great amount of liquid cheese which was again a great thing but something pretty common!

Desserts were something which went well and made sure we ended on a perfect note. I liked their Red Velvet cake which was perfectly fluffy and Mango Cheesecake which was a again something which got me up and running!

I am really excited to tell you my culinary experience (which was an exceptional one) at Hemant Oberoi, BKC. Chef Hemant Oberoi is a big name in the hospitality industry, having served more than 3 decades at Taj Hotels. He brings the best of regional and local ingredients of culinary style to the table.

I was here for Sunday brunch and let me tell you guys it was an amazing fine dining experience. Totally worth it. We started with classic red wine over the delicious buffet spread which consists of sushi, various type of cheese and bread, Lebanese mezze, taco, etc. The best part I like it was so well decorated and rarely you see so many options in the spread as such.

Tortilla Pizza: The first time ever had this and it was made to perfection and loved it so much

Panner Tikka Pita; The pita bread was soft and the stuffing of veggies and fresh paneer was perfectly balanced with chilli chutney and had a great taste.

Brie and Truffle Souffle: The Sunday brie was amazing and so delicious. It's the chef's signature dish and true to its name it didn't disappoint us.

Edamame Dumpling: I never like dumplings but let me tell you it was so yummy. The edamame and chestnut were perfectly cooked and I like its flavor and taste.. its very light in spite of stuffing so easily you can have two ;) for sure only if you're dumpling lover

Overall the experience was amazing and I would mention here the staff is friendly and take cares very well. It was worth coming back here again and again.

This Parmesan Four Ways Gnocchi with Toasted Pinenuts and Cheesy Whey from Hemant Oberoi, BKC Mumbai is a must try. Made with loads of cheese, this was my favourite pick from the menu.
Hemant Oberoi, is a well known name in Hotel Industry and one of the top most chef in India. If you are looking for a fine dine experience then there is no better place than this one. With amazing food, great ambience and classic decor, this place should be on your bucket list.

Had been there last week for a party given by one of our office colleagues. Incredibly awesome service. The staff makes you feel special. They explain you the ingredients and the recipe of the dish in details. We had ordered -

Avocado and Tortilla Pizza - very well made.
Two variations of Tacos - both of them were well made and the fillings were beautifully mixed.
Bibimbap - it was something new for us but we found it incredibly aweome and super tasty.
Pasta - very well made. It was clear that the cheese and sauce used was of very high rate quality.
Bird's Nest for Desserts - It was a disappointment as we had high expectations after how it was described to us.

That said, our overall experience was one to savor!

Right from the first course to the last, the aesthetics and contemporary flavours of the delicacies divulged us into a state of perplexity; compelling us to give in to the temptation of savouring the exotic flavours and get curious about the elaborate cooking techniques. Each dish left us equally dazzled, and more so, nostalgic with the classic creations. While the food was 'certainly' the bigwig at HO, the scintillating Whiskey Sour and HO-T from the bar menu is what made the experience wholesome. It's impossible, to not get, mystified by Chef Oberoi's culinary skills that gyrate even the simple of ingredients into legendary levels of luxurious dining. Unsurpassed culinary finesse, indeed! Can't wait to return for more.

Lovely dining experience. Classy ambiance and extremely attentive service. Great food especially the mushroom risotto. Just found the dumpling a tad bland.

Ambience was great, but food was average compared to other fine dine restaurants in the vicinity. It is overpriced, but that's expected given the status of the chef, but portion sizes were miniscule.

The staff was very courteous, the food was awesome and the ambience of the place is one of the finest I have been too. It’s a fine dine place and not a casual eatery and it sets the standard just right!

Zomato gold is accepted here for food! One of the dish that was suggested to us and we ordered was Parmesan four ways and it was delicious!

Was at HO for a private party where the entire place was ours , they had specially curated the menu for us.

The presentation is something that takes the cake

My first visit had mixed feelings. Loved the ambiance and decor. But the two seater chairs and table are quite uncomfortable. Overall the non veg entree quality and presentation was very good and tasty. However, our chocolate Shawarma desert was a big disappointment. It was nothing more than a chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce. Even the taste was typical and not of some fancy chocolates claimed by the server. The biggest disappointment is their red wine selection and prices. Restaurant was pushing some Chilean wines which were awful. We selected a 2017 French merlot (Baron Philippe) which turned out to Average but the price was super expensive. Out of curiosity I checked the label and found the MSRP was 1,625 but the restaurant was charging 8,000. A 500% markup seemed out of line. So I spoke to management and they were kind enough to offer a discount but in the process of that discussion I learned that their team appears to be misinformed about how the MSRP works. They claimed that they have to pay import duties on wine which is true but they didn’t know that when there is a Maharashtra excise seal with MSRP stamped, the duty is already paid.

Overall a good ambiance and nice setting. Definitely not for price conscious folks. Average price for two without alcohol (1 starter, 2 entree and 1 desert) will be around 7,000- 8,000. Add a couple drinks and you are looking at 12,000.

I went tonite for dinner to celebrate a special occasion with my Husband... And I loved the food here from the starters to the main course ending with lovely dessert.

Service was extremely good but was very disappointed with their management.. When it was time for the bill... I told them I have Zomato gold before asking for the bill & they said it doesn’t work after 12 midnight... Never heard that before when I showed them it’s working on my phone that I can unlock it... the server said he will go check & get back to me...

Before he came back they got me my bill without any 1+1 food privilege I complained & hey said sorry the bill has already been made & they can do nothing about it.

Ohh & also in the beginning my husband was suggested for a mock tail which he didn’t like & the sever apologised because she didn’t suggest which whiskey brand was added in it so she said she will replace it & yet they charged us for that on our bill.

So say I’m disappointed is an understatement... Very bad management I told the manager & she didn’t do anything about it..
when we left & were waiting for our car... Our server came & apologised to us profusely... For that they getting 2 star or I would have given them one.

Hemant Oberoi has been in the town for the past couple of years but it is only recently that I finally paid a visit to this place. Every bit of the restaurant oozes swank. From the interiors to the menu selection, every aspect of this uber cool place reflects class.

I tried some of their masterfully crafted cocktails and beautiful bar bites, and fell in love with them:

Drinks:

Label on Table: This citrus-y drink with scotch whiskey as its base was one of my favourites that evening. The vivid sunset color with the orange rind garnish made for a visually appealing as well as a tasty drink!

Kacchi Keri Sour: This is another Scotch whiskey drink, but with a desi twist of kacchi keri. This unusual combination was further elevated in its flavour profile by adding smoked cinnamon in it. Fantastic!

Slushed Passion: Old Tom gin, passion fruit and grapefruit extracts, along with an egg made up the key ingredients of this delicious drink. A smoked rosemary added to the flavour profile and added to the visual appeal of the cocktail further.

Bar Bites:

Salmon Sushi Tacos: These taco shells were made of sticky sushi rice and filled with smoked salmon. An absolutely refreshing take on the classic salmon sushi rolls. Delightful!

Fish Butter Garlic on Sago Crisp: The presentation of this dish was spot on, and the combination of the crisp sago and the soft fish nuggets made for quite a party in the mouth.

Chicken Tikka Fondue: Soft and tender chicken tikka bites, ready to be dipped in a creamy cheese fondue - it was as perfect as it sounds!

Cauliflower Puree with Truffle Naans: The presentation of this bar bite blew my mind. Cauliflower puree (which was so creamy and buttery, it didn't taste like cauliflower at all) in little plastic 'cans' with a mini naan on top of each can as a lid. They tasted perfect together!

Hemant Oberoi's new cocktail and bar bites are sure to become the talk of town and get parties started!

Hemant Oberoi for the rare few that don't know him is one of India's top chefs. He worked with the Taj for the longest time and here is something that would make you respect him much more beyond the food- the 26/11 attack that took place at the Taj, Hemant Oberoi was one of the victims, but rather than trying to figure out just a way to save himself, he helped many of the other victims as well in getting out of that dreadful experience. This trait shows what he considers of his valuable customers, be it in normalcy or extreme conditions, the customer always comes first and Hemant Oberoi would do his best to make them happy.

It's been long since Mr. Oberoi retired from the Taj and he now has his own restaurant, an exceptional one at that.

Hemant Oberoi is one of the best fine dine experiences in town.

While over at Hemant Oberoi I tried out their Cocktails which I felt were absolutely amazing, extremely well masked and potent at the same time.

They have a vast collection of Cocktails and all the best bases that you can imagine, and something that startled me was the super affordable pricing for the experience brought out by Hemant Oberoi, which takes me back to what I said in the start, for Hemant Oberoi, it's always the customer that matters.

Their food too is amazing, I had a heavy meal before going in hence I was not able to try out much but my friends with me that did try everything said it was in their top 3 experiences within Mumbai. The food apparently was extremely high quality and extremely delicious. I must admit, it was tough to resist most of it but at times you just have to live with that sorrow. I will be back soon though to have their food properly.

I would highly recommend this place to all, don't miss out on this experience and do try their cocktails, they're one of the best!
Hemant Oberoi – Friday Evening be like…

The way to one’s heart is through the stomach. So when you get a chance to be fed by the legend himself, you must be missing your heart to miss that occasion. Popularly known for the fine dine experience, last evening at HO completely surprised me with the warm and laid back ambience and fellow diners.

To top it all being a fan of Mr. Hemant Oberoi, it was a dream come true especially when he interacted with us and made us feel at home.

We enjoyed our evening with their newly launched and extremely creative Cocktails presented by the stylish and suave mixologist Terrance Pereira. Importantly, these new Cocktails were awesome and priced just right. The accompanying bar nibbles were the best and very very well presented.

I am definitely heading back to Hemant Oberoi soon for my perfect meal along with these new Cocktails.

The place very beautiful with a very high roof. I had been there in the afternoon for a lunch. The staff is very friendly. The food also also very unique in flavours and combinations. Over a good experience 😄

The purpose of coming to a restaurant like this for a special occasion is good service. Something that has apparently not carried on from the Taj days.

Our evening began with their service staff rolling their eyes when we politely refused to order alcohol.

We ordered an avocado and tortilla pizza, but the avocado was very hard instead of creamy, suggesting it was under ripe.

We went on to order the truffle naan and chole. Credit where it is due, both were excellent. However, we had more than half the chole leftover at the end and when asked to parcel it they said that they do not do takeaways as a policy.

I do not know if they choose to re-serve this half eaten meal or waste this food, and cannot decide which alternative is worse.

Other fine dining restaurants like neighbor Masala Library have been happy to do takeaways.

When I voiced my concerns the waitstaff suggested I was ruining my mother’s birthday.

Absolute disappointment and waste of an evening
Hetavi Desai
A true fine dining place in every sense. As expected the prices are on a higher side (this being a fine dining place) but you truly get to taste some of the master pieces created by the chef, something you would not get to eat at other regular restaurants.

A must try dish is the Brie and Truffle Souffle! The dish looks so simple but when you taste it you understand the complexity in making it.

So while going frequently to this place may burn a big hole in your pocket, its def worth a visit on special occasions !

You will surely not forget your visit to THO!

Food was good not excellent not up to notch mushrooms ravioli was so buttery that I can't test the dish and and ravioli coating was so soggy dessert was excellent overall experience was good the but the did the mistake in billing and I have to paid for it double as it was not my fault and not got till yet

Beautiful ambience in the heart of bkc. We wanted a nice and peaceful place to take our newborn and this place fit well. We ordered the avocado pizza, mushroom ravioli, nz slow cooked lamb, Peruvian chicken rice. While the pizza and ravioli were quite novel and interesting, we felt the lamb and Peruvian chicken were slightly off to our liking. You may want to get a clear description of what you are ordering. The place is about 30% pricier.

This is the most interesting and delicious dish I’ve had till date.
The presentation of this dish makes it even more intriguing and tempting ... This dish is called-
Cry-O-Pac Three Mushroom Ravioli
The base of the dish would be a black perigord air/form with roasted oats and micro greens
With 4 pieces of freshly made three mushroom ravioli ( Portobello, Porcini, Truffle) with sage butter and pecan nuts.
I have nothing to say anything our their hospitality. Definitely will go there again.

Being the Hemant Oberoi I had very high expectation from this place. And I am sorry to say it did not live up to my expectation. I went for a lazy lunch. Food ordered were as below :
Open faced Sushi
Prawns Peruvian grilled
Chicken Jasmine Rice
Prawns Nevarin
Open Faced Sushi - had to had from the plate, and can get a little messy to eat, as it cannot be served to individual plate. One plate of this dish just comes with 2 sushi, and it tastes nothing like what you expect at such a great place
Prawns Peruvian Grilled - Pretty yummy, with spices which appeal to our taste buds
Chicken & Jasmin Rice - Very average dish
Prawns Main Course - Bland in taste, and nothing extraordinary about the dish. It comes with white sauce so in case you like your dish spicy, you should definitely stay away from This one.
Over all nothing great about the place, compared to the hype and expectation that it has

Kaushal Parrikh
It was just unnecessarily expensive!! A glass of sangria for 2000!(with the taxes )Just not worth it
Service was pretty slow, charged extra for even a breadstick ! Not worth the money!!

Extremely courteous and hospitable staff and a Royal experience and service... The Ambience is well designed... The menu consists of a wide variety to tease your taste buds...
Things I tried: avocado and tortilla pizza (must try, you cannot loose the chance to savour this beauty), parmesan gnocchi (a delight in the mouth) and mushroom tofu bimimbap (the tofu is extremely soft and this dish is a perfect balance of flavours)
Had a lovely time and great experience...
Looking forward to exploring this place a little more the next time...

On one of Sunday we stepped into By the Hemant Obroi, The decor portrays subdued opulence with wooden flooring, huge lamps & artifacts. We were eager to try the new menu creative Asian desserts & authentic flavors. So, was the evening well spent? Yeahh absolutely..

Staffs are highly professional and very helpfull the kindness and smiling face will made your day...

Try mushroom ravioli and open faced sushi👌

Too expensive. Food was good to taste but we barely got a bite each as the portions were tooooo small.. the place looked good but again, not worth the cost. The funnest thing on the menu was the snake coffee was that was the most expensive coffee over ever had in my life - 3k for the coffee! And the cost was not mentioned in the menu.
Radhika
It is VERY EXPENSIVE, slow service, main of all, it’s not worth spending so much money. And also the rates mentioned in the menu card are not true. It’s hell lot of expensive without Alcohol.
Sup.supriya
So I'm upset with the online menu and the actual cost. I understand that there can be increase in the price... But as you can see that the menu price on Zomato vs the actual price in the menu is almost double. I am not doubting their food but frankly the Korean dish wasn't that great as well. I really would have liked a more transparent picture where I knew what I am getting into. They have simply doubled the price and offered one on one which does not seem to be morally right.
Foodaastiic
Class and elegance personified! The place looks so good just from outside and the moment you step in you will be greeted with extremely warm and courteous staff and the sight of the beautiful decor will mesmerise you! 😍

All the dishes in the menu are so well curated to cater to a variety of taste buds.. Your choice of taste will be enquired based on which dishes would be suggested and also before the dish arrives on the table, everything will be explained to give you a gist.

➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

◾DRINKS :

1) LIIT
It was a great mix of 5 spirits which were blended so well giving a very refreshing taste that went well with the starters.

2) WHISKEY SOUR
This was very different from the ones I've had at several places, it had the twist of the tangy lime taste that imparted good flavour to the drink which balanced the flavours of dumplings

➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

◾FOOD :

1) TACOSA
The name means TACOS+SAMOSA, interesting! These are crusty tacos stuffed with spiced mashed potatoes similar to that of samosa filling, it had tanginess of mango with the subtle flavour of yoghurt balancing the complete Dish.

2) BEANS ON THE PLATE
These are basically edamame and chestnut dumplings served along with asparagus and mayo dressing sprinkled with black sesame seeds.

3) CRY-O-PAC THREE MUSHROOM RAVIOLI
This is particularly the introduction of preservative style cooking, wherein the raviolis are made and stored in a tin which are completely dunked in olive oil. The soft raviolis are topped with roasted oats for the crunch.

4) BIBIMBAP
We had the vegetable bibimbap (Korean food) which is type of one bowl meal served in a piping hot iron bowl consisting of jasmine rice and exotic diced veggies and a flavourful gravy which is slightly pungent, it is a beautiful dish!

5) ONION CROISSANTS
These are just so so so soft yet flaky, served to complement the ravioli. Along with it, 2 cubes of butter were given (plain salted butter and parsley)

6) BAKED SILKEN POTATO MASH
This is a super creamy version of mashed potato, I've never had such a dish before. This was suggested to complement the bibimbap and was awesome!

➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

◾DESSERT

1) CHOCOLATE SHAWARMA with ROSE PETAL ICE CREAM
This is hands down the best dish I've had here and was unable to get over this even after I left! It is made live in front of you. A special machine designed by the chef which has layers of chocolate and sponge in it which is circulated and heated for it to melt, then scraped and served on a plate along with the finest rose petal ice cream. It is sheer nirvana to have this!
This place was on wish list since past few months. Today got an opportunity to enjoy the scrumptious menu at Hemant Oberoi’s. Fell in love with the delicate flavours. Each dish has a unique flavour and unique presentation which is like a delicate piece of art. Started with a French fine dish made up of guava which mesmerises your senses. Then had Tacos and warm Corn Salad with a unique sauce. In main course had mushroom Ravioli, Parmesan four ways Gnocchi, some Korean Rice dish and Martabaan ke Chole. All the international dishes were super delicious however taste of chhole was average and bit spicy. Lastly, no words to describe the delicate and unique dessert - eggs in a nest and very unique Chocolate Shwarma with Rose Petals Icecream. I recommend a must visit to this place. planning to give One star less for the Indian Chhole. But added one star for the courteous staff who also explains all the dishes to us before serving.

The food was better any restaurant I have seen. Service by Alex was great. The snake coffee was just a treat to watch. Chef Oberoi met us and spoke to us for over 30 minutes. Amazing experience. Must visit!

Food - 3.5/5
Ambience - 4.5/5
Value for money - 2/5
Service - 4/5

Visited this place with friends on a Wednesday night and this place was empty. Just one other table was occupied. The vibe of this place is super fine dine and 5-starish. We just tried the appetizers here coz frankly with the gourmet portion sizes and the exorbitant price we couldn't have had more.

We ordered 2 avocado and tortilla pizzas (cut up in 4 pieces and about 6-7 inches; tasted good but not something you'd crave for), 2 parmesan 4ways Gnocchi (loved it. Just perfect. If I come here to this place again, it would be for this dish), 1 open faced veg sushi (just 2 pieces, high on presentation but difficult to eat in a fine dine manner :/ to be avoided if on a date or formal event) and 1 truffled humus (can easily skip this).

Don't be misled on the pricing based on Zomato menu as one digit in the price is missing. For instance, if a dish cost ₹ 1450 in the restaurant, it is mentioned as ₹450 in the menu as per Zomato.

All this would have costed us ₹7850 + 15 percent for service charge and taxes but thanks to Zomato Gold it costed us ₹4707 (including service charge and taxes). Service charge should be voluntary and this places charges 10 percent as service charge.

Also, it was my friend's birthday and they dont allow cutting a cake bought from another place here.
Steffi Mascarenhas
It has a very classy interior but the quality and quantity of the food is not good at all. The portion size is very small ,also there very limited options available in the menu. The service was very slow and we wasted around 2 hours there if had been an other restaurant would have been done in a hour.

I came across Hemant Oberoi while browsing for fine dine places in BKC. The menu looked appealing and hence, I decided to give it a try. We were greeted warmly upon arrival by the staff and seated almost immediately. The hospitality of this place is top notch. We ordered the much appreciated Avocado and Tortilla Pizza. This had a crispy Maize base with fresh Avocado, sauces and spices on top. Perfect to munch. For main course, we ordered the Vegetable Bibimbap, on Chef's recommendation and fell in love with it. The Jasmine rice had the most perfect flavour and was served along with exotic vegetables and soy curry. For Indian main course, we tried the Palak Edamame Panner gravy with Naan, which again was upto the mark. Fresh Spinach, edamame beans and Panner with just the right amount of spices gave it an amazing tatse. The winner for me was the Peru Peru drink, which is a must have for all Guava lovers out there. The ambience is super cosy and +1 for the instrumental music that was playing in the background.

Hemant Oberoi - Pleasant Dining Experience

This fine dine place is named under the Maestro "Hemant Oberoi" who has explored so many countries for the love of food and art of cooking. He has spent most of his years at Taj therefore the moment when I stepped in I loved that majestic interior, warm and friendly welcome, positive vibes and stunning ambience with everything looking very perfect.

Being a passionate foodie, I loved all the innovative dishes here completely class apart altogether very unique experience it was. The food menu comprises Asian, Peruvian and European dishes because Maestro has travelled many countries and he wanted Indians to enjoy the taste across the world also there are few dishes inspiring Indian food to suit/satisfy the palate of Indian diners.

Coming to the food as me and my partner was vegetarian, we tried Avocado Tortilla Pizza- Fresh, Crispy, Warm Tortilla with avocado, cheese sauce toppings...Must try

Fondue With KoloKithe - I just couldnt stop praising this dish. Crispy Lotus stems, Zucchini with thick cheese fondue was just lip-smacking.

Another Indian dish which I would recommend was Spinach and Edamame Gravy served with paratha, full of flavor and healthy choice.

Other Recommended dishes:-

Tofu Carpaccio

Kiwi Land in Mocktails

Rose Inhouse Icecream

Staff is very much professional, they will ask your food preferences and food allergies, if any and help you with their suggestions. Every table attendant has got an immense knowledge while they serve the food on the table they will explain everything including the ingredients, preparation and concept of food. The presentation of all the dishes was just classy..

Looking forward to celebrate some special occassion, then head straight to this place as they serve special 9,11 courses meal on request. Make some lovely food memories and create legendary experience.

Portion Size - Serves 1

Service - 5+

Food and Taste - 5

Price - Expensive but worth to spend every penny

Table Booking for Big Groups Recommended

The restaurant interiors and staff is very good. The menu was very selective and the food was not that great considering the money they charge. 350 bucks for 1 Naan and that too very small size!! the dishes were also costly.

The restaurant was completely empty except us on sanday afternoon while the neighborhood was totally full!! You can guess from it too!!

Not recommended 😓

This is one of the most underrated fine dine restaurants in Mumbai. If you like a formal yet comfortable vibe, appreciate knowledgable staff whose advice on food and drinks you can trust and if most importantly quality and taste of food is most critical to you; this restaurant is the place for you. The Brie soufflé and Peruvian grills are to die for. So are most of the personalised cocktails. Weekend evenings are classy with peaceful music that allows wonderful conversations - often revolving around how delicious everything on the plate is! Highly recommended visit for any foodie who enjoys class and taste.

Let me give em the 2 stars for the ambiance and general level of courtesy offered. Besides that, the food is bang-average, the service was painstakingly slow and quite stiff on your wallet too. Not a whole lot surprised to see it vacant on a Saturday night!
