The thing i loved most abt this place is its name..then it had delicious food.. nice ambience...greatt service..
Bindaas Begum Rockin’ Raja, is a restaurant which is located at Runwal greens. It serves north indian as well as continental food. But this is NOT like any other usual restaurant serving north indian food, their whole menu consists of specialty from different parts of the country. Thus, it is something different as there are special recipes from royal households of our country.
Ambience
It is a perfect party spot. The interior is posh! The music is good too.
Service
They are professional. They explained it well and were knowledgeable. Service was a bit slow, but we visited on a weekend so it’s fine.
Food
Starters
Open roomali
By the time we were deciding what to order, this snack was recommended by them. It arrived quickly. It was crispy and had the chatpata taste.
Colonial bruschetta
There were 6 pieces. 2 each of three types. One of them was mushrooms topped with cheese. This one was the best. 2nd one had a base similar to salsa, and was topped with feta cheese I guess. This one was okayish. 3rd one was spinach or some leafy vegetables topped with cheese. It didn’t taste good. Personally I don’t like leafy vegetables so maybe that’s the reason.
Corn cheese croquettes
This was just amazing. It was served like lollipops and had a dip along with it. It was mouth melting. Would surely recommend this one.
Paneer thecha kebab
It is basically haryali tikka or pahadi kebab. It was very delicious.
Butter chicken croquettes
This dish was Highlight of the day. Butter chicken taken to a whole new level. It was just amazing. The dip along with which it was served was delectable!
Fritto misto
This one was also top notch. I was amazed by the portions. For just ₹390, a bowl full of seafood was served. It had prawns, squids and calamari too I guess. They were fried in beer batter and served with tartar sauce.
Main course
Chicken mont blanc
This is a starter, but having good portions, I’m including it as a main course. This was one of the best. It had 4 pieces of chicken which were topped with veggies and melted cheese. It was a bit on the sweeter side but I liked it. The presentation of this dish was at a different level!!
Paneer Bahawalpur
We asked for a spicy main course, and this dish was recommended by them. It was very tasty.
Lon mass
It was mutton cooked in red gravy. It was spicy and the taste was brilliant. The mutton was cooked perfectly.
Pricing
I would say that the pricing is pretty decent. This is because the dishes ain’t basic. Every dish offers something special. They have worked really hard I feel to curate this menu. Even after this the veg starters are around 300 and non veg around 350. I would say the seafood is cheap, yes it is because it’s somewhat around 400 only. Main course too is priced decently.
Overall rating
Ambience- 5/5
Service- 4.5/5
Food- 4.7/5
VFM- 5/5
The ambience is really nice and a refreshing menu with Pahadi and north eastern dishes adds to the plus points. They also have a very impressive bar menu. I believe the staff could be little better groomed at handling issues related to hygeine factor. Overall a good place.
This place definitely makes it to one of the trendiest places in mulund list. The quirky interiors with a mixture of modern luxury and kitsch are well done. The overall ambience created lives up to the name and also the food served here.
The menu showcases many traditional recipes from different parts of India and are served to suit the modern palate. I have tried many of their starters and must admit that it definitely delivers in terms of taste as well as quality. Their mushroom galaouti is something which is my personal favourite.
Food was good. However when asked for mint from waiters, they actually brought mint leaves instead of saunf 😂😂
BTW my pre-bday cake was nice.
I love this name bindaas begum etc & service is awesome every time.
We were at this eccentric named place at Mulund that serves some amazing non vegetarian fare. At first the name catches you unaware but then when you learn more about it you realise that it has a deep significance which has come out in the entire theme of the restaurant. The restaurant has been opened after years if research into the culinary industry especially working with royal families across india to get their age old recipes and have these reflected through an almost perfect execution. You'll realise that most of our new age fads have been in the royal family for centuries now and have just had a mainstream comeback. These guys have gone around collecting recipes even aged before independence, into family history and recreated them. The decor is also extremely royal representing the grandiose of any royal family. Not just that but the restaurant family itself treats you royally and ensures that one has a complete royal sort of dining experience. We were served by mr. Manish and bhupendra singh Who ensured that the royal love and care perpetrated through our meal. Here's what we tried:
1. Quinoa salad - an extremely nutritious dish with quinoa that was so flavorful and healthy.
2. Water melon and feta salad - the Classic salad with balsamic dressing. A great way to wet one's appetite.
3. Dorra kebab - an awadhi speciality, this was made with perfection. The meat was so fine and moist that even a thin thread could cut it apart and that I believe is the true test of a dorra kebab.
4. Rawas fish jhuribhaja - well marinated and fresh fish baked in freshly ground spices.
5. Jheenga khandapara - a delicacy from odisha, this was a yellow chilli paste basted prawn dish with a spicy taste.
6. Lamb trotter soup - the lamb trotter or Paya soup that we had was one of the best that we have ever tried. It was full of flavour and is superbly healthy.
7. Double tadkewali dal - this is the first time that I'd tried a twice fried dal and must say quite enjoyed it.
8. Mujgaad prawns - This is a unique kashmiri curry with fish, prawns and diced radish with the traditional Kashmiri mirch.
9. Lahsyni kheer - this is a 200 year old recipe that is really unique and uses garlic in milk. It is said that this was then used in this dessert only to cure ailments. Loved the concept and the taste was par excellence. For the mocktails we tried the Virgin pinacolada, Guavarita - a guava derivative through and through, Maharajs guraam - yogurt with mango juice and mint. Had the most amazing evening here and would recommend it to one and all.
Visited here on valentine's evening.
Place was full of people.
We found our place to sit.
Then we oredered,
1.Virgin Pinacolada.
2. Blackberry cooler.
3. Chicken Techa Kebabs.
4. Chicken kalahandi with rotis.
Experience was quite good.
Went for lunch on Valentine's day. ambiance and service is great. Got complimentary mocktail. Starters Subz Shikampuri kebab and Baked Bhutte ki Karenji were awesome, very flavourful and tasty. Overall liked the restaurant, would like to explore more food here.
The place has a very cool, laid back atmosphere. Loved the service here and the food was good.
The chicken kaliya and ale kaande ambaat with the rotis and rice were nice tastewise.
The staff were polite behaviourwise.
Lovely place... Royally quirky ambience. Food is from all the princely States of India and is definitely delicious; with some twist. There are also continental items in each section of menu. The presentation/plating is also quite aesthetic. Wide variety of food, some of the menu items are very unique. Definitely, should be visited. It's not expensive as well. 1000-1100 for a couple.
This is pretty cool decent place with some good interior and awesome food . We liked the service , the food was also good had some new dishes . We had
CHAI BISCUIT : It had the perfect flavor of chai with those cinnamon and blend of ice cream served with an Oreo ice biscuits
BUBBLE GUM MOJITO : It had the bommer flavor with the tint of lemon kind of sweet for a Mojito
SHAHI TUKDA : The Hyderabad special sweet dish was the most amazing thing which we liked it was an maida Puri with Rabdi but too amazing
STUFFED KULCHA : The KULCHA stuffed with cheese onions and tomatoes
Just one word- Amazing! Literally in all aspects. The food, the decor, the portions and not very expensive. Totally worth it. The taste is really good. They use fresh veggies that we can literally taste the crunchiness in them. Family or group, friends all would enjoy the place! Gives you amazing vibes.. kudos!
Unique concept serving delicacies from all over the nation, supposed to have been enjoyed by the Maharajas of the respective location. Great ambience. Serves veg and non veg food in addition to alcohol. Worth a visit once. Expensive but value for money.
The place is so good
Firsyof all, I love the name, its soo kool
Ambience is really good, staff is very much polite and service is fast.
The place is very crowded generally on weekends.
Food is great over here
We had Dahi ke kebabs and corn cheese Crockett and Almond palak shorba soup. All of it was great.
The Crocketts thing, it looked like chicken lolipp, and being a vegan, i loved to eat it and on top of it, the stick that they used here, it was sugarcane stick. Double yum.
The Dahi ke kebabs imwas a really new thing, and a must try I must say
The Soup is my all time fav, it was great
The gorgeous ambiance, the polite staff, the HUGE menu (at very reasonable prices) at this lovely foodie destination in Mulund are all a part of a royal ambiance, but all with a dash of contemporary chilled out vibe. Don’t be fooled into thinking that this is a place only for ‘oldies’ or lovers of ‘historical or vintage’ era or that it serves royal thaali. This is a young place where everybody will find something awesome.
GOVIND GHATTA- Regal specialty from Awadh, Besan (Ghatta) dumplings filled with paneer, khoya, some dry fruits. While the name makes it sound like a very rich and sweet dish, it is in reality a delicious dish, not very sweet (just a hint) and served as little bites to make it an amazing MUST-HAVE appetizer,
KEWA DAATSHE – Sikkim’s royal family provides this surprising mix of loads of cheddar cheese with char-grilled chillies, my sister loved the combination (not very spicy as I expected),
BHUTTE KI KARENJI – Royal family of Dhar in Madhya Pradesh gifts my FAVORITE of the evening, Karenji with loads of bhutta, I loved how the steamy juiciness of corn came through the crispy karenji exterior. I had only loved sweet karenjis, this is such a surprise and I am coming back for more soon,
TSHOEM- Another royal dish from Sikkim, loads of stir-fried exotic veggies, especially water chestnuts and mushrooms, make this one a healthy option for everyone,
PANEER MAKHANE KA KORMA- My choice in main course from royalty of Bhopal, a rich saffron-y gravy with dry fruits, paneer, makhana, mildly sweet (but I have a sweet jaw y’all), I loved the velvety texture. Also, the main course is full of so many delicacies, it is virtually impossible to choose one! This went really well with soft Butter Naan (stop counting calories :P)
Frankly, I have never been enamored by the lifestyle of the royals but when it comes to food, well I am swooning over our meal and cannot wait to go back, so that says volumes about how awesome Bindaas Begum Rockin Raja is. Bon Appetit!
AMBIENCE - Good if you like crowded restaurants. It's a little cramped though because they've tried to utilise the space to the max. It was a Saturday evening so quite obviously it was busy and noisy.
STAFF - Courteous and understanding. They did their best to seat us although it was obviously a very busy evening.
FOOD - Listing down each item in the order it was consumed and I've attached pics for all;
1. ALU TILLI ACHAAR - Good veg starer option. Tasted different, although the taste of vinegar was too heavy. The taste of achaar (pickle) was bang on
2. CHICKEN CHERMOULA - Although it took a long time to arrive, the taste was awesome. Perfect blend of coriander, lemon and basil with perfectly grilled, soft chicken
3. PANEER BAHAWALPUR - A unique blend of paneer with veggies. Taste was great and different.
4. GIRNAARI KHICHDI - A dal KHICHDI with veggies. WARNING - IT CONTAINS BRINJAL (EGGPLANT) AND PEANUTS. Prepared well.
5. ELANEER (COCONUT) PAYASAM - In simpler words that's basically Coconut Kheer. I think they put a tad too much of rose essence but otherwise concept wise it was nice.
6. SIZZLING PURANPOLI WITH ICE CREAM - Now this was tuly unique... It was presented like a sizzling brownie with a dollop of ice cream (see pic). Great puranpoli but FYI, the vanilla ice cream had a mango sauce on it.
Overall it was a good place, the food was great but I really do hope they can rearrange the seating and space out a bit as the tables are too close to each other in certain areas.
This is located in Runwal green, Nahur. As the name seems cheeky, the theme inside the restaurant is also complements its name. The food quality is very excellent. The seats are very comfortable. The staffs are very good and well mannered. The foods are little bit expensive but keeping in mind the superb tasty and delicious food they serve, it is worth sepnding those extra bucks. I would recommend all of you to visit this place and enjoy the delicious dinner or lunch.

Cool place to take your guest's for lunch or having a group party with your friends for party. The person who comes to take your order explain you about the dish you are requesting for .He explains if its tastes sour, sweet or spicy also lets you know how much sweet or spicy it will be. And if you have guest from other parts of the world then this is the best place to take them for lunch or dinner. It will be good if you call the restaurant well before taking your guests to reserve the seats. They also serve liquors . The overall environment is good with walls having painting and pics of Maharaj and maharani from the pasts. You have pay parking on the main road or else you can also parking in the building pay park available on the back side of the building.
The place is quite away from the main road so you wont hear any vehicle traffic sounds .
