Review Harish Lunch Home - Mumbai

Trevor Saldanha
A Very Small Frontage, so it looks like a Tiny Place from outside, but is quite spacious inside. The Ground Floor is Non AC and not recommended. The First Floor is however Comfortably Airconditioned and Well Designed too. There are 2 Sections here - one is the Only Dining Section on the left which is Small, but Tastefully Furnished and the other is a Bar cum Dining Area which is Fairly Large and Decently Furnished, but a bit noisy. The place has a Full Bar with a Wide Selection of Drinks. The Food Menu is also Extensive and the Seafood and Typical Mangalorian Dishes are Very Well made. The Fish is Fresh and Very Well Prepared too. Although on the Main Road with no place to Park, they have a Valet Parking Facility, which is great. They also have Clean Washrooms, which is a boon too. Their Rates are also quite reasonable, providing Good Value for Money. A Great Place to go to for a Drink and to Savor Authentic Mangalorian Coastal Cuisine.

If looking for affordable Fresh Sea Food, this is the place to be. The fine dine area may not live upto everyone's expectations as alcohol is served everywhere. Food is amazing, Service is truly good. Do visit for some nice malwani cuisine.

Good food and variety, just that rotis were not served hot. Service was good, waiter’s helped us to choose the food as per our palate. The place looks bit shady from out but is family friendly .

All I’ve got to say about the restaurant is that the seafood they serve is the best. Fresh and flavorful best describes the food. This place will always be visited every time I come to Mumbai.
SMITA EKATPURE
Good food, should try prawn gussi with neer dosa and surmai tawa fry.

Good Food especially seafood and they have wide range of varieties to choose from with some really tasty South Indian style and manglorean options within seafood and chicken. Recommended tried and tasted dishes Prawns fry, bombil, South Indian chicken roti. Since the hotel is old it looks a bit shady but is family friendly. Service is good and owner is friendly.

A popular place in Vile Parle for seafood. Visited it recently and it lives upto it's name. They have huge menu with lot of options in non veg. Had chicken dishes as we were craving for it. We had kalimiri kebab and lucknowi biryani. Both were great. The Biryani was really good. Would visit again to explore different sections of menu.
Jerusha Ranshinge
Must visit if you are a sea food lover as well as they have a southern flavour in their food too.. sea food pot rice is amazing.

This is a Restaurant and Bar so expect that environment, Old school bar. But that said it has the right atmosphere if you are out drinking with your buddies and has good food to go with the drinks.
Needa Monghal
Best place for your seafood cravings. Favorites include tandoori crab, bombil (bombay duck) fry, rawas gassi, clams in green sauce. Highly recommended for all foodies.
Himanshu Powdwal
Prawns gassi and appam, bombil fry and crab butter garlic are absolute best. Everything else also in terms of sea food is very good. Good service. Top food.
Pratik Katalkar
Very casual kitchen and bar you can go any time it’s regular bar with ac nothing so much special about it food is good And drinks are not that much costlier
Arul Sali
As always..... and over decades - awesome food and great service. Missed the cheesy fish though. Not on the menu anymore..... was all-time favourite and a must have.
Monika Singh
The food tastes awesome. The atmosphere is typical bar. But they serve delicious food especially non veg. None of the other restaurants nearby can beat their taste. They will make your visit worthy, whether takeout or delivery.
Romesh Bhansali
Had ordered prawns malabari which had only coating n super small size prawns, surmai and bombil were not upto the mark. The cook probably has changed during corona times, else I love this place for dine in. Won't ever order delivery with harish
Anukriti
Worst chowmein ever! Flooded with soupy slime like vegetables and soupy maggi without the tastemaker! Never going to order again!
Priyanka Pawar
This restuarant is good for only non veg,sea food.Veg food is tasteless and expensive.only try non veg here
Dwelston D'silva
Ordered for Prawns and Mutton Handi Biryani and to our surprise both the dishes were tasteless and loaded with Oil and Masala. There were only bones in the mutton biryani and 3-4 pieces of prawns in the prawns Biryani. Too over priced for the Quality and Quantity of food. I wish I could give it less than 1 Start.
Pratish Shetty
Had ordered for Dal fry and prawns fried rice ..gotta say it was fab...just in love with the dal fry andvthe chinese food..just the way I like 😍

Ambience 8/10<br/>Food quality 9/10<br/>Food quantity 9/10<br/>Service 9/10<br/>Highly recommendable for sea food lovers.

Seafood at Harish Lunch Home.<br/>At what looks like one of those casual bars you shouldn’t visit from outside, is actually a hub of delicious food. This place, by far, has served me some of the best sea food I’ve had outside, including the aspects of quantity, quality and price.<br/><br/>1: Bombil Sukhat: Made for a charming side dish to the main course.<br/><br/>2: Boneless Crab in Butter Garlic Sauce: Butter Garlic Sauce and seafood is my favourite combination and this one didn’t disappoint at all. Soft, succulent and scrumptious.<br/><br/>3: Tandoori Prawns: I was amazed at how well the prawns were grilled. It looked like art and tasted like it too.<br/><br/>4: We asked them to get the best of squid that they could and they served this to us. Brilliant dish with all the right tastes.<br/><br/>5: Neer Dosa and the best of South Indian Chicken that they could get for us. The dosas were perfect and the gravy? Boneless chicken in a gravy that had the vaguest flavour of coconut and spices that seemed to be imported right from Kerala. Love!<br/><br/>The service was amazing although the waiting time was pretty long (1 hour!). The waiters are really friendly. If you only care about good food and not much about the ambiance (it can get stuffy at some points), this is your place. And if you love seafood, then what are you waiting for?
Amey Nadkarni
The seafood was excellent. My friend could speak Kannada so we were treated super royally! I didn't know it was a bar so that was an added bonus!!! Do visit. One of those quaint and fulfilling experiences.

Must try dishes <br/>Veg potli or kungfu bags.<br/>Virgin mohito <br/>Paneer chilli <br/>Paneer tikka and Slice chicken in black pepper sauce

Harish Lunch Home is located at SV road in Irla, Vileparle. <br/><br/>It is one of the oldest and authentic restaurant which serves Non-Vegetarian cuisine at its best. <br/><br/>The menu covers Veg/non-veg (Chicken, Mutton, Seafood); North-Indian, Chinese, Mughlai Biryanis, Tandoors etc. <br/><br/>Even though they have many options in the vegetarian menu, this place has a speciality in non-vegetarian menu with too many options to select. <br/><br/>Pomfret fry, Chicken Makhanwala are must try here!
Hussain Saherwala
Nice place to visit with family. The seafood is good and fresh. The service is also good and the staff is courteous. The ambience is also good and price is reasonable for the quality and quantity.
Rosemary Pattem
I visited this place multiple time and somehow dont have too many pictures. But these are definitely my recommendations have the bombil fry and mutton rara for the later is spicy for sure. The prawns cheytinad with neer dosa is wonderful. Please do not try the crab meat in butter garlic it's not worth it at all. Overall service is quite decent. And they are known for the seafood so probably I could other stuff for future recommendations.
Daminee Sulresh
Order food almost after a decade. Still the same flavour.. what’s the secre☺️.. never disappointed with Harish lunch home. Happy foodie 😋

Recently been to harish lunch home near sv road, irla, must say a perfect place to have a quality time with your family.<br/>They offer you variety of indian and chinese cusinies. The sea food serve in here is the best thing about this place. A dine in experience in here without it's speciality sea food items is pointless.<br/>I tried:<br/>Hara bhara kebab<br/>Chicken do pyaza<br/>Mutton makhanwala<br/>Pomprhet fry<br/>Chicken chilli
Rajneet Duggal
Excellent food and great quality with super service and decently priced. Quick to serve and staff helpful. 1 visit in 90 days a must always for me and family

Ordered on Friday night butter chicken and tandoori chicken the delivery was on time and if you ask me about then I will say only one thing that my mom usually don't like nonveg from restaurant but this! she just loved it
Smruti Shirke
If u want stale fish this is the place! And guess what the management is so full of itself that they wouldn't admit that they are serving one.. I just can come up with one explaination is that they dunno what fresh fish tastes like cos they kept on going about that its fresh.. trust me it was like as if the pomfret farted in my mouth and it was inedible for a Goan like me. The ambience turned pathetic after we complained that the pomfret isn't fresh we were ignored whole while. Wouldn't suggest this place to anyone. If u r going might as well eat meat but don't try fish as usual the management sucks! Disappointed by the whole dinner.

We went here after a friends recommendation. Well, first of all, the place looks quite shady TBH from outside , when you take a walk in it’s pretty much like a local bar vibes, the first floor is quite made over to attract family in the restaurant- bar section. The food is quite decent, dint quite honestly felt worth the vibes and price.<br/>We ordered some ghee roast , neer dosa, exotic veg, ravas curry, black pepper chicken and one sabzee, prawns garlic butter. Out of all honestly I loved the sabzee.4 on 5 for the yummy manglorean currry. 3/5 for food, 4/5 staff, 2.5/5 for the ambience <br/>
Neha Rahate
A hidden gem, tiny but great great food . After long hours of shopping , we saw this and without thinking went inside . The sea food was extremely delicious . Spices were balanced perfectly and the texture of sea food was done well.

The hunt for the sea food lovers ends at this place. The place has lot to offer if you love sea food and it's evenly good if you want to have authentic Indian food. The service is very slow but customer friendly.
Ramoli1998
I’ve been visiting this place since childhood.<br/>My favourite dishes would be their flavoursome<br/>1.Mangalorean pomfret gussy with light neer dosas<br/>2. Bombil chilly: it’s an indo chinese starter not a usual thing you get to see on menus , it is delicious.<br/>Also the chicken kebabs , biryani and prawns are worth a try. The staff is very polite and friendly.

My hunt for an ideal and the best sea food restaurant stops here. This one was on my bucket list for a really long time. So I decided to head there on a Wednesday night and was surprised to see it fully packed. Managed to get a table for 2.<br/><br/>Based on the recommendation of the other views, we decided to have butter garlic prawns which was bang on lip smacking . <br/>Bombil Tawa fry : highly recommended <br/>Sippy malwani : amazing sea shells fish. Loved every bit of it .<br/>Fish Gaboli : tried this one for the first time . Must try <br/>Red snapper : spicy and very well cooked <br/><br/>Don’t miss the solkadi
Khaanayak
Tried some really interesting Manglorean dishes here (seafood mainly) and I loved it.<br/><br/>We tried the bombil fry, prawns pullimunchi (very spicy) which was amazing with appams and chicken kundapur curry with neer dosa. All the dishes were extremely delicious!<br/><br/>Note: The cocktails we ordered were pretty strong but lacked flavour.
Prashant
Overall good place for family and as well for group, this place believes in quality and service, trust me no compromise in quality of food, specially you will find best seafood dishes, this is bar and restaurant and they have separate place for family. You can come with office colleagues and groups to enjoy and celebrations. Hotel is placed at main road, parking is available, hotel staff manages the parking. In overall whole staff cares for customers.

He serves old waters bottles which are cause of cancer and flat beers and <br/><br/>doesn’t want to accept it so if you want cancer in life go there

Awesome place for family and friends. Good ambience good food. My favorite restaurant for dinning. Quality and taste of food really awesome.

A great place well known for its seafood. The food tastes amazing. Quantity is sufficient & price are reasonable. Ambience too is great. Not the most spacious but just enough for your comfort. Service too is quick & polite.<br/><br/>Definitely recommended.

Harish Lunch Home is a nice, little place located along the ever buzzing streets of Irla. This place is mostly not known to most people because from the outsides it looks like a really small place, but once you get inside it is much vast.<br/><br/>They have different sitting arrangements for different groups of people. We chose the family sitting.<br/><br/>We had<br/>📍Butter Garlic Prawns<br/>📍Bombil Fry<br/>📍 Tandoori Chicken<br/><br/>The prawns were really big and the sauce was just perfect. Coming to the bombil, it was shallow fried and served with a curry leaf chutney. And the tandoor was also well done. The starters were simply amazing<br/><br/>Coming to mains we had<br/>Murgh Mayuri along with Butter Roti. We opted to try something different than the regular gravies, but didn't find anything exceptional. But no doubt the taste was good.<br/><br/>We also had the Chicken Lucknowi Biryani which was the highlight for me. Firstly it came in a matka as it was cooked with dum. And secondly the taste was exceptional. There was chicken which was cooked well with the spices, even the long rice grains were very flavorful.<br/><br/>This was my first dining experience here and it definitely didn't disappoint me, instead it more me more curious to visit here often in order to try our more dishes from here

Amazing Sea food place, must try tandoor crab, malabar prawns and sol kadhi. It’s not a fancy place so don’t expect any show and extravagant decor.
Keith Gonsalves
Came to Harish after many years along with my family for my birthday dinner on March 4th. Apart from the decor, nothing has changed. The food has always been top notch and the service has been warm and friendly. All we ordered was sea food right from starters to main course and needless to say, my family enjoyed every bit of it. We called for Prawns butter garlic, Rawas Noorani Tikka, Fish Fingers, Fish in Oyster sauce, Chicken crispy, Prawns Gassi with Neer Dosas and Prawns Biryani. Also ordered for a few drinks. The food was fresh and scrumptious and the drinks were delightful. Plus they're quite reasonable with their rates. Will be back soon, hungry for more.
Ashmita
A super place for seafood lovers, lip smacking - starters from bombayducks, surmai tawa fry, pomfret fish finger, tempera prawns. The crabmeat soup was amazing but remember to ask for a little more spice.<br/><br/>You can request for thin gravy with aappam to avoid an over dose of the thick gassi which is usually the favourite..<br/><br/>Last but not the least sol curry...<br/><br/>Great place for family dinners. But ensure a weekend outting is with a reservation to avoid the long wait... Although once you are at the table the wait is worth it.

Although I have been here half a dozen times, yesterday's meal topped them all!<br/>In a nutshell:<br/>Food - 4.5/5<br/>Service - 4.5/5<br/>Ambience - 4/5<br/>VFM - 4.5/5<br/><br/>The usual fare - butter garlic prawns, bombil fry, neer dosa with gassi or pulimunchi, kababs<br/>What we tried this time - surmai tawa fry, pomfret masala fry, prawns lucknowi biryani<br/>The surmai tawa fry was hands down the best i've had in a loooooonnnngggg time!<br/>Biryani was spot on. Pleasantly surprised to be honest!<br/><br/>Why Harish? Serves alchohol, multiple seating options, yummy sea food and great kababs!<br/>The only thing they need to work on is the consistency. The prawn butter garlic has varied from best ever to "did I really have the best here?"<br/>
Riya Barve
We ordered chicken red chilly as a starter and a combo chicken meal(rice & noodles with gravy) which was finger linking good.. Taste and quantity is worth whereas staff and ambience is very nice

This place is a must try for all the seafood lovers ♥️♥️♥️<br/>Stuffed crab in cabbage wrap (must try) and crab bhurji are my personal favourites 🐣<br/>

This is one of my favorite restaurants to eat at. The food is delicious, the ambiance is comforting and the service and staff are the loveliest in the city.<br/>I am specially a fan of their Cream of Chicken soup, it is not advertised enough, the soup touches your soul and is my go-to option on days when I'm feeling down. Along with the soup, their chicken lollipop is the best I've had.<br/>Thank you for such a lovely experience. 💕

Yes this is The Harish, I respect this place, you know why because, my search for nice sea food ends here. It is a destination for sea food lovers, people on weekends are standing on each other queuing to get a table there. Sea food here is as fresh as sitting by the bay and serving you a live catch, prepare it and serve you then and there. You can go for different sizes of crabs, lobsters, Pomfrets etc. Needless to say that good food cherry picked by you from the cage requires time for preparation. Yes but when it is served you feel like you r in heaven and feel satisfied. Appreciate to all the staffs and cook who are constantly behind for such a customer delight.

Our first time here today I.e. 15th Dec 2018. Just had 2 dishes (not humongous eaters u c 🤪). The Prawn dish was just too good, crispy n full of taste ... A must place for food lovers to come n freak out ... V both are definitely going soon.
TRUPTI NARSULE
A little crowded, with tables extremely close to each other is one downside , especially when the restaurant has a pricey menu<br/>The food was delicious, tried the Bombay Chilli, the humble Bombay Duck with the Chinese twist, would surely tickle the taste buds of those who enjoy the Indian variety of Chinese food<br/>The garlic butter prawns were decent , the Neer Dosa with the Prawns Ghassi was succulent and worth its price<br/>Service could be better with the serving staff being too stretched to pay attention to any specific instructions
Kajal Verenkar
A great seafood restaurant. The must tasted dish here is the tandoori crabs. It's succulent and simply amazing. Fresh and perfectly cooked. Friendly staff.
Siddharth Chandira
Food was nice but the service which I got<br/>Was as pathetic as shit....I ordered a chicken omlette....and a keema naan......the guy first bot the omlette and I specially told him to get the naan along with it......then I ordered a slice of bread....first he places the order and then tells me after 7mins that bread is not available .,.......fck all service
Ub
Extremely favourful and beautiful food.<br/>For the kind of place it is (ambience wise) it's expensive. But the food is totally worth it.<br/>Not a typical family restaurant though I have been there with friends and family and sitting in the ac restaurant section is like any other local restaurant. But the entrance it shares with the bar and non AC area and also the road itself that it is on makes people doubtful of whether to enter or not. But if you can overlook all that (and you should) the food is finger licking good.<br/>Order anything from the menu and you won't be disappointed. Their chana masala, the paneer makhani and butter chicken are now the standard order we place whenever we go.<br/>Do give it a try if you are in the area. Or call for home delivery if you live somewhere in the vicinity.

My husband alwayz recomended this place to me as he was frequent visitor in college days with his frds but was also not sure whether it had family dining or no so one fine day we decided to give it a try after another frd recomended to us saying it does have a family dining.I have never thought this place would have been for a family but seriously a place which looks like a bar from outside at 10:30 pm is seriously meant for family on first floor. The staff is very nice and humble. Food is great. Whatever the captain recomended we loved the dishes. The qty is also decent enough for 2 ppl..will definitely visit again
Shikha Jethwani
Ordered for Fish finger from Harish Lunch Home home delivery, for which took the help of menu on Zomato.<br/>The price quoted on the menu was Rs.340/- and there was no T&C applied mentioned. Inspite of that when the order came the rate of the product was mentioned 390/- and a GST was charged on that price.<br/><br/>A request to kindly make sure that you are confirming the rates before accepting it, they are covering up their margins wrongly.
Kunal Panchal
One of the crowded place. Food is quality and costly. Varieties of ambience you will see here. If you thinking to hangout with friends, so this is the good place. Only issue is of having no Royal Stag Barrel Select. It's a request to keep it.
SBf
Went to this place for the 2nd time after 10 years ....this place serves alcohol and goooooood sea food<br/>Ordered Bombil fry and basa lovely foood ....good quality oil used and less oily tooo...this place is my favourite now on ...simply superb <br/>Good ambience ...but the servise was a lil slow ...but that’s ok wen they serve u good food ....it compensates
Mallika Singh
Been here a couple of times.<br/>Really like the food. Paneer tikka masala is very well prepared and tastes good too.<br/>Butter chicken is a little sweet but you can tell them to make it spicy.<br/>Very nice food.
Joshua Ap
A bit pricey but the sea-food served here is pretty good. I tried Rawas Pulimanchi, Stuffed Bombil and Prawn fry. Rawas was cooked in a spicy-tangy gravy, though the fish itself was nothing too impressive. It was for 700 bucks! Hence, the 3 stars :/<br/><br/>Stuffed Bombil and Prawns fry were great and were reasonably priced.<br/><br/>All in all a well located place with good sea-food. Be wary of the prices though. Inquire about the prices before as the menu usually doesn’t display prices of certain fishes, crabs etc.
Dhruva Shetty
Anyone who know anything about the seafood scene in Bombay knows harish....It's great food at great prices<br/>..Good quality ingredients...If u love sea fare u definitely have to visit here...Also they showcase manglorean cuisine which is brilliant... Their Chinese is brilliant too...Do urself a favour and go there...
Vaju86
One of the few places in suburbs that serves great manglorian cuisine in seafood..tried many items but the standout is prawn gassi and prawn biryani..chicken items are pretty decent..even staple item like Dal fry is well made..trust the seafood items in terms of freshness..no stale food here..
Natasha S Devadiga
If you like Mangalore an food then this is ur go to place. The pomfret fry, Chicken/Prawn Ghee roast is yumm.. but if u r a Mangalorean you won’t appreciate the Neer Dosas here. Fort mains I usually go for Kori Kotti only Caz I miss home.
Varun Prabhudesai
Harish Lunch Home is famous for its seafood cuisine!🐟<br/><br/>The ambience of the place is decent but the seating is too congested as there is not much space between two tables!!👨‍👩‍👧‍👧<br/><br/>The food here is really delicious but the quantity of the dishes is questionable!⁉️<br/><br/>I also found the pricing to be quite high although there is no compromise on the taste and quality!💸<br/><br/>I had ordered Tandoori Rawas , Prawns Gassi , Bheja Fry & Chicken malai tikka!😍<br/><br/>Prawns Gassi was the highlight of the day! The flavour and texture of the dish was perfect!👌<br/><br/>Malai tikka and Tandoori Rawas was pretty average!🤔<br/><br/>Bheja fry was done properly and tasted quite well!🤩<br/><br/>Overall a decent place!👍
Shreya Kandapl
It has an indoor searing arrangement. All mostly casual and a few high chairs by the bar for those who would like it.<br/><br/>There are huge tables for big families/groups to dine in.<br/><br/>You'll feel as if you're sitting in a kaleidoscope of squares if you're a bit high in the head. Well, the ceiling and entire restautant walks as well are decorated simply with wooden squares and boxes which give the outlet an effect of depth and make it look larger than it is.
Ash Parmar
Its a typical shetty restaurant and the food served is yummy however its too expensive and it mainly specialised for tasty sea food in their style
Amit Katpara
A sad experience..<br/>very slow service, too much of waiting time.<br/>costly rotis served were cold. no proper service for the high charge they are putting for food.<br/>Biryani with no raita.<br/>wont visit again for sure.<br/>

Was  last day in mumbai and was wondering around juhu beach before catching my flight back home.Saw mahesh lunch home, went inside..upon enquring it was close n the guy at the door recommended me to go to harish lunch home in irla market.Somehow i reached there as it was around 4 o clock, restaurant was entirely empty except the table opposite me which was occupied by poet who has recently returned from jashn-e-rekhta event in Delhi(perfect). Was guided to a table by head waiter who was very nice n recommended what to try as i am a solo  traveller m usually left with only 1 or 2 dishes to try at one single time.Order half kg crab curry for myself. It was brought in a very nicely plate with some real crab meat pulling knives. This was my first time eating crab curry in shetty/mangalorean restaurant. The first bite of gravy opened all my taste buds n i went into food coma.Crab meat was sweet n juicy.Despite having heavy apetite,i struggled to finish the entire dish.<br/><br/>Reasonable price in comparison to other lunch houses<br/><br/>Great on food scale<br/><br/>Friendly n homely service<br/><br/>will visit again if am going to be back in Mumbai

A typical Shetty style restaurant!! First floor has a family seating! A very small yet clean and perfectly designed interiors!! Staff are really welcoming and friendly!<br/><br/>Coming to the food...!!<br/>Seafood soup: hot and sour sea food soup was good enough! Somehow okay amalgam of mixed sea food and spices! The let down was that there was some weird smell while having it!<br/><br/>Bombil fry: just perfect and yummm!! Served with green chatni...!!<br/><br/>Chicken tandoori: all time favourite! Chicken cooked perfectly and with an amazing masala..!<br/><br/>Rumali Papad: A must must try ! A huge roti cum Papad with tomato onion and lip smacking masala!<br/><br/>Chicken puli munchi and neer dosa : best for the last!! This is a must try dish! Yummy yummy khatha and spicy puli and soft dosa! Just a perfect combo! Loved it!<br/><br/>Kesar pista kulfi/caramel custard : rich , flavoured and quantitative!!<br/><br/>

What did I just have 😍?<br/>Reached here with recommendation after having ignored its existence while living and working super close to this place.<br/>After raving about my new discovery is when I found that this place is pretty famous and a regular favorite of many a Bombay local.<br/>No nonsense, clean, old world lunch home vibes. Excellent seafood, waiter recommended starters were bang on but the prawn mallipuram is what I will go back for. Alcohol is reasonable, it seemed like a lot of family regulars were there to enjoy their meals and drinks. Truly a hidden gem.<br/>

My cousin is a doctor at Copper Hospital and we always Fix Harish lunch home as a place to meet for late night drinks . Lovely Shetty style ambience though they’ve recently renovated the place to make it appealing to families as well . In size Harish is way bigger than one can expect. The wait staff are always on their toes to serve all the tables, though the service tends to become slow when the place is packed . The food is Chinese and Indian and a mix of continental as well . We always order for our regular chicken chilly, some rice and masala papad. Alcohol is perfectly priced . One can enjoy 3/4 drinks at affordable prices here . All in all a great place for quick drinks, dinner and some chat.

This is a very good place if you crave for South Indian style sea food. They can accommodate quite a good amount of crowd at a single time and also<br/>They have sections so if you have a crowd of 15-20 people you and get a single section for yourself. The food was very yummy and delicious with tenderness in the chicken and fish. The ambience is average with very friendly staff. The price range is also very good for the quantity and the quality of the food we get there. We had chicken tandoori, chicken lollypop, kori roti, masala papad, chicken Malabar, Neer dosa, kulfi and chocolate mousse.

At first glance from the outside, this looks like another shady Shetty bar. However it is a completely different experience once you enter into the seating area on the first floor.<br/>I stumbled upon this place once when we were searching for a place to eat 12 am.<br/>The food here is of good quality and their speciality is fish.<br/>I would recommend the chicken Hari mirchi starter (diced chicken stuffed inside a big crispy crusted chilli), the Basa fish in green gravy and the dum chicken gravy. The naans and kulchas are well made and light. Be sure to try the fish puli munchi, daal makhani and prawn koliwada as well.<br/>Everytime I've visited the place, the food didn't disappoint.<br/>Alcohol here is reasonably priced.<br/>The waiters here were helpful with suggesting what to order.<br/>I would recommend if you want to enjoy a hearty meal with good seafood options and a couple of drinks.

Visited this place with few friends. To grab some drinks and have dinner. Actually this place used to be my regular hangout but don't know the problem with this place now.<br/><br/>Foods were not good. Golden Babycorn was spoilt that you can literally squeeze the oil.<br/>Chicken ordered were not tender and tasty.<br/><br/>Had to adjust with salads.<br/>Not visiting this place again.

Excellent indian cuisine and seafood. The rumali masala papad, handi biryani, prawns hariyali and sol kadi is welcome anytime. Owner Ashok shetty is a delight to meet every time we visit.

Harish is here to spoil you with his choice of some of the yummiest sea food in Mumbai Suburbs. Located right on the Irla junction along with other bars to its left and right, Harish stands out for its speciality, Sea Food!<br/>The drinks are decently priced but are a bit costly than the neighbour bars (Spices & Sauces and Canara).<br/>Harish being in close proximity to my office a lot of people order from and visit this place. I have tried most of the kebabs, prawns dishes, some Chinese and yeah, the Biryani, here. The prawns Biryani is worth a try.<br/>There is also a separate family section where you can take your kids along (Don't understand why there is a different section though).

This place is a no visit at all been the first visit here I had a really bad experience where being their dish chicken in pepper having a unhealthy and weird aftertaste and asking the manager for a replacement they denied on the grounds that it's a loss for the restaurant and denied consistently to replace it. <br/>Having given this statement when asked to sign it in writing so we can leave and get to the consumer court they denied for the same and the manager got denied and started ignoring for having the conversation. <br/>This has been recorded on cam for reference visit li

Ambience = 4 out of 10<br/>Quality of food =8 out of 10<br/>Service= 7 out of 10<br/><br/>personally I mostly opt for home delivery because the dining is pretty normal but the taste of the food is great especially the butter chicken and the price is quite affordable and worth it

It was an awesome experience! Generally I hesitate to try sea food outside because I don’t feel they do justice with the taste; Inspite of charging high. But this place changed my mind. While entering it may give you a feel of shady bar keep walking until you reach the family section! <br/>I have ordered green clams masala with neer dosa and some prawns gravy dish suggested by them with butter roti! And being a maharashtrian I also ordered solkadi cause seafood is incomplete without it! Neer dosa and greean clams masala is must try! Solkadhi needs a lot of improvement! Prawns dish was good too!<br/>Staff was friendly and attentive! Ambiance was also amazing! Seafood lover should try this place atlease once.. <br/>Budget wish this place is low on pocket as Seafood is supposed to be an expensive thing in restaurants! <br/>Totally recommended by Me😇

We've all been there - group of guys, no girls allowed....the focus is on drinks and some good starters and food. Typically the neighbourhood bar would suffice when younger, but even that needs an upgrade for which there has always been Harish for those between Parle to Andheri. Its located in Irla on the main SV road and is famous for the fish food. Highly recommended is the bombil manchurian, the fish fry, the prawns tava fry and the chicken gravy. If you dont want to impress anyone but have some reasonable (not cheap) drinks and some great food which isnt expensive (read Mahesh), then this is the place to go to.

Tried the following things:<br/><br/>1. Prawn Mallipuram with Neer Dosa - Would Recommend<br/>2. Chicken Tikka - Was good<br/>3. Bombil Fry - Was good<br/><br/>The service was pretty slow , and the other chicken dishes didn't taste as great.

1st place I am giving a 5 star rating because they just made me fall in love with their sea food. The simplest of the dis they had made it taste out of the world . It’s basically bar n a restaurant but good people come here they have a separate family section not a worry to take your family there. Very polite n friendly staff it terms of food definitely go for the sea food menu I’ve tried almost all.

I had chicken dum biryani and fish ghasi and it is one of the best chicken dum biryani and fish ghasi i've ever had in my life, one of best manglorian restaurant,it has average ambience but food is amazing unlike mahesh lunch home-they have posh ambience, food is also nice but this is pocket friendly

The only reason i am giving 4 star rating to this place is because of the delicious food they serve. The decor, ambience is just average, infact from outside this place looks really small but as you walk inside they have a huge dinning space on the first floor. This place is known for sea food but i am not a huge fan of sea food so i took their staff's advice and ordered ghee roasted chicken, chicken malipuram and neer dosa. Ghee roast was something i never had before so i wanted to try and it turned out to be super delicious. The red thick gravy mashed in ghee with cashew paste mixed properly with chicken roasted in ghee again. Chicken malipuram was little sweet with some karipattas which we had with neer dosa. They also serve andhra cuisine and some other delicious south indian style chicken and mutton. The staff is very polite and gives you good suggestions if you are willing to try a new dish from the menu.Overall it is an average place which serves amazing food at the right price.

The food quality is amazing thought looks a small restaurant from outside ,has a huge sitting place inside as the speciality is seafood all the seafood items are good. Order butter chicken , prawns , mandeli fry, tandoori, nan and was overall satisfied with the service and food as the restaurant has bar service u may have to wait if you visit late evening. The restaurant is overall reasonable.

Ordered chicken Rashmi kabab, dragon chicken and tandoori prawns in starters. Prawns ghassi and neer dosa (Mangalore speciality) for main course. Excellent food - superb service. What more can one ask for

Non veg lovers will like this place a lot ! <br/>You should definitely try chicken lollipops also I would suggest fish fingers.<br/>Don’t forget to try ‘ Rumali papad ‘ , It’s huge papas filled with masala and it’s damn tasty.

This is the place where u can get actual Mangalore food. They are good in Fish🐟 menu and Manglore style food.... I love the way the food was... First time i had Rumali Papad and it was daam delicious. In starters i liked bangan crispy🍆 as its their speciality..... The staff was friendly but the service was too slow they almost took 10-15 mis for one single mean...

Looks like a really small place but has ample of seating upstairs. Good seafood and south Indian dishes. Really enjoyed my experience here. Ghee roast chicken was tasty and didn't have oil leaving form it. Appam could have been better though.

Located at the busy Irla junction, the place may appear to be a bit shady on the outside, however as they say looks can be deceiving. Harish serves the best sea food and that makes up for the shoddy exterior . I've been visiting this place for years and it hasn't disappointed me. The butter garlic squid has been my personal favourite. Cooked to perfection! The neer dosa and the prawns mahabalipuram is so yum. Do also try the fish fry when you're here. Apart from the food, the service is also very warm and homely. A definite must visit. <br/>Lloyd Borges

Not a big fan of food we get in Mumbai restaurants in the name of costal curries and in fact I find famous like Mahesh, Gajilee a tad overrated which focuses more on seafood showcase thetrics and less on authentic flavors. Harish which seems like any regular Uncle drink den in a glance will pleasntly surprise you with Andhra and Mangloreian cuisine. Fresh seafood in near authentic preparation which doesn't spill heavy gravy in your pocket. A well stocked mid range bar. Clean and bright interiors. A must try for seafood lovers... remember the view from outside can be deceptive. Pulimunchi and gassi preparations are my favorite

“Idhar macchi ekdum fresh milta hain (The fish here is extremely fresh) “- Purandar Shetty, Manager<br/><br/>Harish Lunch Home, Irla 4/5<br/><br/>Address: 115, S. V. Road, Irla, Vile Parle West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400056<br/><br/>Specialty: Manglorean Sea food<br/><br/>Type of Restaurant: All day bar and restaurant <br/><br/>The details above are from the restaurant/their website and are subject to change at their discretion<br/><br/>Price Range: 2200/- for two with one non-alcoholic beverage each. Exclusive of applicable taxes and charges. They don’t levy a service charge<br/><br/>The concept of a Lunch home is popular on the Mumbai food scene. Harish is, in our opinion, one of the best. They pride themselves on the freshness of their produce, particularly seafood. Other than their own cuisine, Manglorean, they serve food from the rest of the South, Punjabi and Chinese. <br/><br/>Ambience <br/><br/>No frills, comfortable. There are two family dining rooms on the 1st floor of the restaurant.<br/><br/>Life’s Good, but it’s not perfect<br/><br/>Starters: We started with the crab butter garlic. They serve it de-shelled, on request, and we prefer not to have to wrestle with our food, unless absolutely necessary. This is an Oriental preparation in a butter garlic sauce with spring onion and fresh red chilies. On the face of it, it looks like a simple dish, but it brings out the delicate crab flavour perfectly. This is the dish that takes us back .<br/><br/>From the tandoor, we had the fish Noorani Tikka. This dish has boneless pieces of Rawas or Indian salmon marinated in a brown spice mix, unlike the typical fiery red tandoori masala we are accustomed to. A good sized portion, you get six perfectly cooked pieces, served with a coriander and mint chutney, shallots, lemon wedges and pickle on the side. A dollop of the chutney and a squeeze of lime…pure bliss.<br/><br/>Next came the Prawn Malabari Fry, a delicacy from Gods own country, Kerala. Batter fried, akin to a Prawn Koliwada. The spice mix with the curry leaf garnish is a perfect snack if you’re having a drink. 14-15 medium sized prawns, deep fried to a golden brown. So perfectly done, no condiment is required.<br/><br/>They do a mean prawn tandoori and a pomfret stuffed with prawn. The latter, being a tedious dish, does takes a while to prepare.<br/><br/>Mains: We had the Prawn Mallipuram with Neer dosa and Appam. Delicately flavoured yellow gravy, with a coconut milk base, this dish busts the myth that all keralite food packs a punch. We paired this with Neer Dosa and Appam, both rice pancakes, one from Mangalore and the other from Kerala. Both worked a charm. You could have this with rice as well.<br/><br/>You could also try the Gassi, which is a Manglorean coconut based red gravy with seafood of your choice. They also serve it with chicken and mutton. Equally interesting is the seafood Pulimunchi .<br/><br/>Drinks: They have a vast choice of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The cocktail selection is limited. If alcohol is not your thing, ask for a glass of chilled sol kadi-a concoction of coconut /coconut milk and kokum with a dash of chilly, garnished with green coriander. This is just so refreshing, particularly in summer!<br/><br/>Service wise, the servers are attentive and friendly. Do ask them for recommendations.<br/><br/>Insider tips <br/><br/>Don’t judge a book by its cover. The humble exterior is deceptive. Take your taste buds up a flight of stairs, they’ll thank you later. <br/><br/>What to wear Anything Casual.

Nice ambience and nice experience. Fish amritsari was suberb as well as prawns koliwada. Great food good service had good time. Nice place for family and friends get together

Although the food and service is good enough, they have a very silly and outrageous policy that they don't allow only guys group in the family zone. Only if you are accompanied by a female member you are allowed to sit in this are. Which I found to be quite offensive and discriminatory.

Total value for money and very prompt delivery. Their butter chicken is good, however, recently the quality of chicken went down and maybe thats why its cheap.
