*** New Opening Alert *** SOBO goes LOCO or more aptly put South Bombay gets a brand new Poco Loco ✅ Opened 2 weeks back this place was buzzing with patrons on a Thursday night while walked in for our dinner 😀 The place has a mezzanine floor with 2 sections (Ideal for large gatherings) and ground floor with tastefully done interiors 🤩 The bar takes center stage is definitely a eye cather with its white terrazo make 🤩 The cocktail menu is very unique and will definitely tickle your buds with some fantastic in-house Cocktails / Classics and even a low-cal segment We ordered for the classic "Whiskey Sour" neatly prepared - House pour was the newly launched Whiskey Bourbon blend "Lucifer" - One of the best I've had recently 🥃 "Espuma De Maracuya" was a in-house offering served in a majestic looking glass, was a concoction of Gin & Passion fruit puree blended with soda🍸 Coming to the food and this is where the magic starts 🌼 "Chipotle Chicken Wings" was definitely worth getting hands dirty, 6 pieces of spiced wings served with garlic Mayo sauce. If you like it even more Spicer opt for the Habanero version 🔥 "Gambas Chimichurri" for all Shrimp lover, king sized prawns pan tossed and covered with Chimichurri sauce - Give it a try ✅ "Croquetas De Pollo" was our favourite among the 3 appetizers we savoured, Crispy exterior with creamy chicken filling inside - Each bite was a treat! Accompanying garlic mayo is not be missed 😋 "Pan Seared Red Snapper" one of my personal favourite and prepared with a finese 💯 A generous chunk of Snapper pan seared to a perfect texture placed atop a heap of pesto flavored spaghetti 🍝 the butter sauce used here was commendable ✅ "Poco Loco Lamb Shank" stole my heart with its impeccable presentation 🤩 2 portions of shank with well cooked meat on them (Came off with ease) served on a bed of mash potato with rosemary sauce to go along with it 🤓 Ended with a delicious "Nutella Cheesecake" the cheesecake was baked to the right texture with a generous later of Nutella on top. Loved it!; The cuisine here is experimental and it did not disappoint me, an etensive Jain menu is also available ✅ We had a excellent dining experience and ii can undoubtedly boast that the newly launched Poco Loco outlet is definitely an added jewel to Queen's Necklace for sure 👌

Amazing ambience, awesome food, rocking cocktails. Restaurant was full on a week day. Good show. Kudos to owner Chef Megha Datwani. Her 2nd branch after Khar also nice with also open dinning. Thank god for valet parking, as it is located at a busy junction. Advisable to book your table because of its growing popularity 👌👍👏👏💖

Tantra genuinely serves amazing veg food. It’s a place to be in south Mumbai if you’re planning to go out with friends and family. The interiors is very nice. Lots of wood and we especially loved the wooden fans ( The place is centrally air-conditioned but the fans have been maintained from the previous Parsi eatery here) The seating was super comfortable, the staff was very efficient and the experienced. We would strongly recommend you to try out their Nawabi Kumbh Angaara Paneer (From udta punjab menu) Badami Paneer and Broccoli Dragon In the main course we had the Paneer Makhani and Malai Kofta with Pizza Paratha it tasted well. Also don’t miss out for the Thandai It’s the best thandai you’ll ever have. In desserts we tried out the Rajbhog/Malai ChamCham one but it was average. Presentation was good but taste wise didn’t like it. Still, overall we enjoyed.

Great and Often Casual place to hang out with your family and colleagues as well. The place is loacted near to the girgaon Chowpatty. One of the best place i have ever visited. Its a very dine restaurant. With great ambiance and staff as well. I have visited with my friends last week for lunch. Basically the place is very rushy in the evening. You will literally have to wait for an hour in the evening time. I had a really great time spending at the restaurant. Along with this coming to the food. Banjara Paneer In mains i have ordered 1. Paneer Zaffrani 2. Sorted Rotis and Naans. 3. Dal Tadka 4. Jeera Rice In desserts i have ordered 1. Gajar ka halwa 2. Malai kulfi 3. Gulab jamun The all over food was really very nice and tasty as well. The quality was also very nice and the taste of the food was really very food. The prices of the food is also very reasonable and pocket friendly. Coming to the eervice they provided us the best of their service. The staff was very calm and courteous. I really loved the place and the food as well. Nice place to hangout with family especially. Do visit once with your friends and friends.

food - food is very good . new things in menu stuff idli , cheese kohabirvadi roll , new sabzi in Punjabi and daal tadka is very good , chilly paratha is also good . quantity of thandai is very small . ambiance - is very good . family type . cost - 400 to 500 per person you have to book I recommend spl for Saturday and Sundays spl. . once you can go .

Tantra is very located on the exit of Padder road towards Chowpatty, juts a stone throw away from the beech. It is so conveniently located that on crossing that it can be identified from very far off. The street gives a real look of the town side with perfect parking and not much hustle and bustle of the suburbs and then you have an amazing, beautiful TANTRA restaurant. Its known for serving the traditional Gujarati and Jain food and of course they are known to have menu which is speciality for them. Once you enter, it will give you the look of the classical restaurant with comfy seating on Sofa and chair with all wooden finish with quality cushioning. The table are arranged in a such a manner that it can cater from couple of people to a group of 15/20 persons. The super quality lighting, perfect white wall colour give the outlet a rich look. It caters the alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic beverages. There are wide variety of the dishes available, even if you select anyone you won’t be disappointed Here is what we opted for Mocktails: ANAAR MOJITO: Fresh pomegranate Juice was spiked with pinch of mint and served with Basil leaf. Absolute cool drinks to sooth the belly. SMOKED MARY: Woow, this was spicy Tomato juice and said to contain Indian herbs, Worcestershire; and has smoky flavour. STARTER: BADAMI TIKKI CHAAT: When it comes for a chaat, I really enjoy the Tikki chaat. The preparation was awesome and containing Badami Tikki with chhole and sweet curd. NAWABI KHUMB: The mushroom was stuffed with minced vegetables and marinated in cream sauce and then was baked. It was really mouth-watering. It is Highly recommended MAINS: PANEER ZAFRANI: The soft paneer served with lasoon chutney, and gravy was made of almond. Its vegetarian delight. DAAL BAATI CHURMA: I was looking this dish for a long time and finally we got it. A traditional Raajsthani dish. Panchmel Daal was served with Baati made from whole wheat,and Suji. DESSERT: Meal is not complete with the dessert and we tried very very special of the restaurant. This is called TIRAMISU, A Italian dessert with chocolate in layers and expresso coffee taste. Though it was not part of the menu but Chef specially made for us. Final Verdict: Its fine dine restaurant with lots of variety of vegetarian dishes at very reasonable prices.

Tantra- located at chowpatty is definitely going to be my favorite restaurant for veg food. Totally loved the food, service and off course the pleasant and relaxing ambience. A good option for meals with family. Since it was Thursday we decided to go for a veg restaurant. After long Zomato search we decided to go to Tantra. We were welcomed by Austin and trust me when it came to suggestions he provided us with some of the best. We totally loved our time at Tantra. Coming to what we had: Cocktails: Pomegranate Spritzer and Gauva glory Starters: Chole papdi chat Cheese chilli kebab Veg Manchurian Main course: Tantra special (Two gravies, one tomato based and one was palak based) Both were good. Kulcha Naan Veg Pulao Dessert: Malpua, highly recommend if you are a dessert person. Happy eating. 😊

South Mumbai is where one can still find some British Colonial Influences. And one such place is Tantra, located at Hughes Road, at one of the busiest corners. You can't miss this one while passing by. Love the way the logo is designed. Tantra has 2 levels, with the upper deck having more seating. It can accommodate large groups as well. The best part here is you can find delicacies from across the western most part of undivided India to the eastern most part. They have made good additions of famous dishes from across the world and also added oriental dishes. All-in-all a good variety is what one can expect while visiting Tantra. An all vegetarian restaurant catering to the needs of the locality in which it is located. Talking about what all we tried here - We tried the Indian section of the menu only, began with some starters and called for Pav Bhaji Bruschetta, Chilli Cheese Kebab and Aloo Moti Kebab. The first are also available in Jain variants. Aloo Moti Kebab is the signature starter here where cheese balls are shallow fried and tossed with schezwan sauce. It can get a little spicy with schezwan. So is the Chilli Cheese Kebab, with cheese and capsicum blend is grilled. Pav Bhaji Bruschetta is a nice fusion with pav bhaji mixed with cheese served on toasted bread. All the 3 starters were stuffed with cheese due to which we decided to go light on the main course. Along with food, we called for Kesar Thandai and Oreo Shake. Of the two would definitely recommend Kesar Thandai, very refreshing topped with badam flakes. Oreo Shake is nice too, you have options of Kit Kat, Ferrero Rocher besides the regular chocolate shake. Moving to mains, we called for Masala Khichdi, which was Dal Khichdi with vegetables - beans, carrots, chillies, peas. Gets served with Kadhi. Soul food and filling food, gives you the perfect satisfaction. Finally moving to the desserts, we called for Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse. Served in a Chocolate semi dome holder, dark chocolate mousse with hazelnut praline was good however felt the texture of mousse could have been a little light and airy. Taste was good though. A good option for veggie lovers and eaters when in town, you are surely in for a treat.

Tantra- Chowpatty is the best place if you are looking for superb veg delicacies with some high and awsome spirits.... Late evening we stepped in with family and trust me we were very satisfied with the food. Very Very courteous staff and good knowledge of menu. For mocktails we tried - Kesari Thandai and Ferrero Rocher shake. Kesari Thandai- sweet milk base drink (some what like non alcoholic Bhang) very well presented. Ferraro Rocher - thick ferraro based drink with good amount of chocolate in it. For starters we tried Angara Paneer Tikka - hot fresh paneer served with live fire and coal. Paneer Chilli Pizza - very good toppings of paneer and large portion of pizza with thin crust base. Chole Samosa Chat - hot samosa served with punjabi chole with sev and some sweet chutney. For mains we tried Veg Jalfrezie with missi roti and butter kulcha - very nice presentation and preparation of fresh vegetables , very nice combination with missi roti and kulcha. Staple hot dal khichidi was the best of all eaten so far, hot good for health and light to digest. Tom and Jerry was the dessert we tried , custard base with whipped white cream.. At the end to sum it up , very much affordable and good ambience place to spend some quality time with family and friends, highly recommended.

Soup - Thai lemon grass soup - A Thai speciality of rich coconut cream spiced with lemongrass green chilli and cumin powder Signature Starters - 4. Vegetables saute - Exotic vegetables, sautéd in olive oil and tossed with salt and pepper 5. Angaara paneer tikka - Cottage cheese marinated in spicy homemade spices grilled to perfection and flambèd with rum. Main course - 6. Pot rice - Our all time favorite. A specialty of the house, best of basmati rice cooked with exotic vegetables and soya chilli red wine sauce. Signature Desserts - 7. Rasmalai cheesecake - Cold mascarpone cheese cake stuffed with delicate rajbhog and glazed with nutty white chocolate 8. Molten chocolate tart - Dark chocolate cake served in a tart glazed with rich chocolate sauce topped with vanilla ice cream.. Nice option to celebrate family or personal functions for 50 guests in the upper level. Good food and great service.. Loved the food and vibes of the place..

Its a Fully Veg Restaurant and it's very easy to locate as it is at the corner of street. The ambience is casual and cosy. Their menu is awesome because they have food options for kids, food and bar menu adult that makes this restaurant unique. They designed the seating arrangement perfectly for family, group and for kids. Amazing and necessary amenities with bar onsite, good for kids, high chairs and toilets. Also they have digital payment features to settle the bills. Let's start they tasty food experience I have started with soup Soups Palak dhaniya shorba Very popular combination of fresh spinach with coriander in a creamy base garnished with fresh palak was too soupy and tasty. Lemon Corian soup A mildly spiced Thai soup with dry ginger lemon leaf was too refreshing and everyone should try this soup. Starter Banjara paneer Cottage cheese cubes marinated and grilled with hot Indian spices and Tulsi paneer tikkha A scculent mixture of cheese and capsicum were perfectly cooked and maintained that smoking flavour was just awesome. Chilli Milly seekh kebab Minced vegetables kebab with the hotness of kashmiri Mirchi was a worth trying kebab. Makhmali kebeb Smooth and smoky flavored cottage cheese cubes marinated in bell peppers and cheese was just mouthwatering kebab. Angaara paneer Tikka Cottage cheese marinated in spicy homemade red gravy were perfectly cooked and presentation is amazing and served flaming with rum. Tantra special pizza This pizza bread layered with vegetables and cheese was delicious and yummy. Mocktails Tulsi Narangi This mocktail is too refreshing and colorful drink which is made of orange juice picked with lemongrass, basil and lime. Anaar Mojito This spin on the mint-and-lime classic contains delicious pomegranate seeds and juice is again a very good option in mocktails. So totally paisa vasul place because the price of food is totally worth. A place where one can expect all homely vibes. All in all a good variety is what one can expect while visiting Tantra. All the staffs are extremely courteous and always ready to help you. The ambience is very relaxing. Everyone should visit this at least once.

Tantra Located in SOBO, this place has won hearts for its North Indian cuisine. It's a family restaurant where you can indulge in an authentic Indian meal I visited on a weekday for Dinner. Ordered for a few starters and mains. The best way to start off at Tantra is its famous Thandai. Highly recommended. Starters TANTRA SPECIAL CHEESE CHILLI KEBAB Mains Paneer Pasanda Stuffed Kulcha Butter Kulcha Paneer Kofta DESSERT Kulfi Falooda Loved every bite of my meal. I mean this is reallly one of the best restaurants in Mumbai to satisfy your cravings for authentic North Indian food.

We went here on a sun evening for dinner ... its a vegetarian restaurant... the ambience is basic ... its well lit up ...the staff is good ... helpful and warm ... valet guys were quick as well..the quantity of the food is good as well ... We ordered : ,kothambir vadi cheese rolls : the crust of the roll was very nice n crispy ...the stuffing was gooey .....it was nice can try if looking for sonething new Tusli panner tikka : the panner was really soft ...but didnt enjoy the basil flavour ... was bland for my palette... Panner zafarani : the taste was ok didnt enjoy it much again the flavour were all less ... may b i needed more ... Veg thecha : was a decent vegetable...can order Dal makkani : it had a dash of sugar in it... but decent .. Over all the food on a very mild taste ... i personally prefer a little more flavour ...may b its a sun so an average experience... but would try out on a weekday someday

Tantra is a new restaurant alert at Hughes road near chowpatty. Chef Naved is consultant chef of Tantra and has designed the menu for this place Its an all vegetarian restaurant keeping the area and demographics in mind. A very striking feature of Chef Naved;s dishes being that although most of gujaratis /marwadis eat sweet food.He has kept his dishes here a little on spicy side which i personally loved it. The interiors of Tantra are classy,simple.Takes you back to british era. Good music playing in the background.This restaurant is more of a family restaurant. They have many tables with seatings of 8 -10 people.It is good to see Tantra promoting the concept of entire family dining together. Seatings at Tantra are divided on ground floor and first floor.They have a relatively small bar on the 1st floor.Even on a weekday this place was packed. Staff Service was a bit average but can understand this as the place was packed. Also from 2nd jan 2018 Tantra is introducing a new menu which will have a few more varieties of dishes added on to their menu which is great! Coming to what i tried here Drinks Thandai -Served chilled and my favourite drink .Fullcream milk with almonds,cashewnuts,pistachios and saffron used in preparation of this amazing drink. Shorba(soup) Mushroom shorba -One of the most popular and trendy soup these days. In this soup roux is thinned with cream and mushroom broth was added. It had a strong and pure essence of mushroom in it.A nice rich tasty soup. Pavbhaji shorba - A very interesting signature soup of Chef Naved. Onion and garlic paste cooked well ,tomatoes ,pav bhaji masala,chilli powder and garam masala forming niche ingredients used in preparation of this delightful shorba.Must try!! Starters Sweetpotato chaat -A nice tangy chaat dish.Sweetpotatoes mingles with spices,chaat masala ,chillies ,lime juice.Quite filling chaat.The chutney mixed along gave it superb chatpatta flavour.I liked it. Badami Tikki chaat - Wow.This was mouthwatering.Spicy aloo tikki,sev,chutney,chopped onions used in preparation of this delicious chaat. Highly recommended Stuffed tandoori idli -This is a very unique starter.Full marks to chef Naved for creativity and creating such wonderful thoughtful dishes. Curd was whisked and all seasonings were added to it.Round shape idli pieces were served.Marinade was poured over idli .After a while they were nicely deep fried and served with chutney and mulgapodi masala on it. Dahi kebab -Shallow fried kebabs made from hung curd and supported with paneer and crumbs.It had nice masalas to give it a nice taste. A special mention for the chunda served along with dahi kebab. Do try out the chunda Feta ghughra -A gujarati speciality dish served with twist of Feta. It has green peas (vatana) stuffed ghughra with feta cheese stuffing and served with coconut chutney along.Tasty!! Main course Zaffrani paneer -This was little spicy with a flavour of lasooni chutney.A special mention for the good malai paneer they used in preparation of this vegetable. Choice of Paneer is so important for this dish . Baingan bharta -Baingan nicely smoked and cooked well in onion masala. This is strictly for brinjal lovers.Else can try out from many other vegetables from the vast menu. I personally enjoyed Zaffrani paneer more!! Assorted bread basket - From their variety of bread options.Their 3 cheese naan and stuffed kulchas were the best. Rice Haryali paneer Tikka biryani - Rich in taste,full of aroma,dish made with paneer,coriander leaves.Not spicy at all.Highly recomended .Worth trying Dessert Suttarfeni and rabdi - A popular indian sweet loved by gujaratis and marwadis. it is flaky ,rice flour roasted in ghee and blended with some sugar.Some pistachios and cardamom along with mixture of rabdi added to it. This is located in prime roadside location. Near to girgam chowpatty ,next to bhavans auditorium, opposite to prempuri ashram. Nice ambience, entry door is antique style. Decor is good, like lamp in center is different. Staff and services are good. They have upstairs sitting also. Food tastes are very nice. Like Pav bhaji soup is nice. Nargishi kofta is good. Taste is good. Rate is fine. Nice one.

Please do not ever order Chinese from this place. I had ordered manchurian gravy and crispy vegetables. Manchurian was simply fried cabbage fried balls in soya sauce. Tasteless!! Horrible!! Same for the crispy veg..please do not ever order from here.

The first thing I observed was the interior. It was happy and positive. Then comes the staff who was friendly and courteous especially Mr. Anthony! <br/>Food was tasty and well presented. Also the quantity was satisfying. 5 stars for sure.

Being a vegetarian place, I was quite reluctant to go here. But Tantra surely makes it to one of the best places in South Mumbai! The mocktails are class apart! <br/><br/>•We tried the Virgin Colada, just a perfect blend of coconut milk cream with Pineapple. <br/>•The Jalapeño Cheese rolls were a little too Cheesy! Actually I’m not a huge fan of cheese but it’ll surely be a delish for a Cheese Lover! <br/>• Makhmali Kebabs were the best vegetarian kebabs I’ve ever had. They melt in your mouth, finely chopped veggies, garnished with Mustard fried veggies. <br/>• Dal Khichdi, their Dal Khichdi is also the best I’ve ever had. But the manger suggested us to go for a tadka Dal Khichdi, and that just enhanced the taste with the right spices. <br/>• Dessert was a molten chocolate tart. It was good too.<br/> Overall a good experience. The staff was courteous and the Manager Mr. Anthony was very attentive and served us good. Taste was amazing! I would give a 5/5

Totally loved the interiors of this restaurant. It's a perfect place for family celebrations. They serve indian and Italian as well but I loved indian cuisine more here. We had pizza which quite small, mozzarella cheese sticks and paneer chilly. Would love to visit again

I had specified in the order what was regular and what had to beJain.The management did not bother and served all JAIN food .Zomato unlock was available on app but they did not honour it and did not bother to reply for same.they charged me service charge also..upon questioning they said we will waive it off.This is unprofessionalism.upon asking the order taker about mistake to be bourne by restaurant for wrong order he begged us saying it will be deducted from his salary.Highly highly unprofessional.pathetic and unethical.

It's a decent place for Indian food... portion size is decent... ambience is only of people talking..it was packed for Sunday dinner...my order started with red sangria...we had to remind the waiter regarding roasted papad...service was decent otherwise.... enjoyed my main course with paneer lababdar, dal makhani and Butter naan... nothing can go wrong with combination... rigid manager didn't allow the Zomato gold offer on the order but offered a 10% off on the bill... overall my experience was fine

The food is good but the quantity is too less

Visited this place on a busy Sunday afternoon and there was a little waiting here for a table. The place is classic and displays the upper class of the bygone eras. The staff is very friendly and kind. Their service is pretty decent. The penne pasta in red sauce and garlic bread with cheese just make my Sunday lunch so ideal.

Basic place with basic ambience but extremely tasty and delicious food. Common dishes like paneer makhanwala and dal tadka are also quite satisfying and tasty here. It’s one of typical go to places when one can be assured that you will come back home feeling content.

This place is one of the old world charm kind of a place and has been around for some time now. It’s a vegetarians heaven as there is a lot of choice in the menu. <br/>The tulsi tamatar shorba is quite refreshing and in the maincourse We liked the dal baati choorma here and the Biryani with some tadke wala dahi. It’s a home away from home for us who don’t take risks of trying too many new places. In the desserts don’t forget to try the gulabjamun parfait and the hazelnut mousse.

Tantra not only has good food but it has some most interesting drinks too. We loved almost everything we tried here. Kesari thandai was excellent just lacked a little spice flavour from the peppers. But was creamy and rich. Also the flavoured iced candies were loved by all the kids with us. One plus point is that though it’s a vegetarian place they serve cocktails too which makes it an easier choice for families like ours. Pricing is not steep at all. Almost everything looks very affordable and VFM. A great option for family get togethers.

My parents used to go to Tantra earlier and now my generation also goes here often. They have something for everyone. Be it Chinese, continental, Indian, Mexican etc etc u just get it all here under one roof. While all rave about their Indian food, which even I agree, is truly delectable, I also love their fusion dishes like Tandoori idli or the kadhi samosa. These are rarely or never easily found in any other place. So we definitely come here often to relish this kind of food.

The almond broccoli soup, the dahi kebabs and the kothimbir wadi cheese balls are my absolute favourite here. Can’t think of a better place every time I visit south mumbai.

Nowadays it’s rare to find a good place which serves all sorts of cuisines. This place is a winner in that form as they serve some of the best food we have tried. Loved their veg thecha and bhindi Kurkure here. Very unique and nice dishes which all can like. Ambience is fine and service is very good. Quite quick and kind.

Went here last week and fell in love with the cheesy nachos with smoked salsa. The penne pasta in pink sauce and jalapeño cheese poppers are also worth trying here. I haven’t tried the North Indian food here but I could see it coming to all the tables and that’s surely on my wish list here for next time.

Yesterday I had to deal with this funny situation, South Bombay + Thursday - the no nonveg day + cravings for some lip smacking delicious dinner.<br/>So I researched a bit and found this absolutely delightful place just near the chowpatty, Tantra!<br/><br/>A place with a classy vibe and soothing music. The staff there was very friendly and prompt. They helped us with the menu and recommended us few dishes with proper details.<br/><br/>For mocktails, we ordered Kesari Thandai that calmed our stressed souls. It looked good and tasted even better.<br/>The other drink we had was Basil Melon. Hands down the best mocktail I have had recently. I will again visit this place just for this very mocktail. <br/><br/>And for food we had:<br/><br/>Stuffed Tandoori Idli: It’s definitely a cultural twist here. But our taste buds were more than happy to have it. The Gun powder masala roasted in the tandoor tasted delicious with the twist of cheese stuffing doubling the yum experience.<br/><br/>Aloo Moti Kebab: If I am ever having veg kebabs, I am having this kebabs only! Tantra – Feed your Soul<br/><br/>At times I do struggle when looking for authentic veg restaurants in Mumbai. Though being a gujju boy I always crave for something which is cooked out of the box. Eating the same old dishes sometimes is boring. Tantra at girgaum chowpatty hits the right boxes serving both North Indian & Oriental cuisines. Majority of them are a fusion of two different Indian cultures. Taste is simply lip – smacking. Well I’m a die – hard non veg lover shhhhh!!! But being at tantra didn’t even felt me have something in non – veg as the dishes were cooked to perfection. <br/><br/>Food:<br/><br/>1> Stuffed Tandoori Idli – Well this is innovation in one word if I had to summarize….highly recommended. I absolutely love their font and the way they have made their restaurant logo. It’s a clear favourite<br/>Among the people from in and around south of Mumbai. A garlic naan with dal makhani and jeera rice and a platter of Tandoori starters is what I truly enjoyed here to the fullest. Though it’s appearance is from British era but somehow has a modern touch. Liked the wooden stairway which Led to the mezzanine seating.<br/>The best part is there is a lot of choice in menu and there is Jain food available too. Tantra is such a convenient and blessed place for a vegetarian. A Truly remarkable find for sure. We had an amazing time here and I can say it is all thanks to 3 elements namely our server-Dominic, the ambience and the food. While here we tried some good recommendations that Dominic gave us. Had ordered a Jain platter (because there were people on my table who were strictly Jain) and I was seated right next to the window of the kitchen. 1 of the servers took the platter and just before he was about to get the same to our table realised that the platter had non Jain items. Even I could see the same given my seating. However, he gave the platter back to the kitchen and asked the kitchen to remove the non Jain items and replace them with Jain ones quickly rather than changing the platter given the fact that they had already taken 35-40 mins to prepare the platter. Despite pointing out the same to the manager, he didn’t pay heed.

The food is delicious and their basics don’t go wrong anywhere. It’s the place my family enjoys almost every fortnight. Do try the Tandoori idlis here. Quite unique food.

This place has 2 levels and I preferred sitting on the base level compared to the upper level. It was more fun and lively. The menu is vast and ample choice is available for all to choose. We always try the indian gravies and naans here. Absolutely love the continental food also here.

So i started my dining out here with Lemon corian soup which was quite healthy and contained less calories. Then i ordered English vinglish. The food was as fascinating as the name was. I aldo tried Matka biriyani as biriyani be my all time favorite. This was also very delicious.

I love thr ambience of Tantra, it's nice and chilled out.. you can spent a good time with the dear ones over food. I ordered palak makai cheese samosa, makhmali kebab and vegetable augratin. I loved the taste of Augratin with veggies and cheese. Samosa was good and kebab was very tender and flavorful. Quality of food is amazing and the price is worth the taste of food.

Tantra is a really great place at Chowpatty and has really cool and calm ambiance. So I was planning to have dinner at the place and so reached there. On reaching the staff welcomed us and offered a seat. Generous staff. Served us water and we ordered our food and starters. <br/>Really great food. We tried Thandai and Chilli Cheese toast for starters. We also tried the Banjara Paneer which was really superb. I would surely recommend this dish. Tried Dal Khichdi which was the best one. Tantra- Chowpatty is the best place if you are looking for superb veg delicacies with some high and awsome spirits....<br/>Late evening we stepped in with family and trust me we were very satisfied with the food.<br/>Very Very courteous staff and good knowledge of menu.<br/>For mocktails we tried - Kesari Thandai and Ferrero Rocher shake.<br/>Kesari Thandai- sweet milk base drink (some what like non alcoholic Bhang) very well presented.<br/>Ferraro Rocher - thick ferraro based drink with good amount of chocolate in it.<br/>For starters we tried Angara Paneer Tikka - hot fresh paneer served with live fire and coal.<br/>Paneer Chilli Pizza - very good toppings of paneer and large portion of pizza with thin crust base.<br/>Chole Samosa Chat - hot samosa served with punjabi chole with sev and some sweet chutney.<br/>For mains we tried Veg Jalfrezie with missi roti and butter kulcha - very nice presentation and preparation of fresh vegetables , very nice combination with missi roti and kulcha.<br/>Staple hot dal khichidi was the best of all eaten so far, hot good for health and light to digest.<br/>Tom and Jerry was the dessert we tried , custard base with whipped white cream..<br/>At the end to sum it up , very much affordable and good ambience place to spend some quality time with family and friends, highly recommended.

I went to this place in chowpatty the south Bombay , it is at a very decent Location and has come up with a great ambience . We started our meal with palak makai cheese samosa and Banjara paneer Tikka both of them were super delicious and were well accompanied by anar mojito and ferero rocher shake. The food is eye appealing and the taste was delicious . Then we ordered for dal makhni and bhindi masala the quantity is great , the prices are set very reasonable it accordance to the hospitality and the experience they provide . I didn’t know that tantra would offer so much good food. Me and my friend’s went here for dinner. Staff has good knowledge about the food served here. Menu is just mind blowing, you get so much variety here. Do not miss the chaat they offer. Finding a place with such an awesome menu is difficult. Tantra team is doing a great job.

I recently had some totally drooling appetisers in Tantra. They have good variety of appetisers, what i tried was Banjara Aloo, Aloo tikki and Dahi kebab. I must say, what a great work done by Chef. You’re not gonna get such food elsewhere. And in Main Course, Dum Aloo is worth trying. Pot rice can also be tried. Tantra is that place which I’m visiting again definitely.

I rarely go towards south mumbai, as i stay in suburbs. Heard alot of Tantra restaurant by my friends and via zomato reviews too. Expectations were high about this place. We went here for lunch, started off with soups- Tulsi tamatar and Bhutte ka shorba were my favourite here. They have chaat option too, Chhole Samosa served by them reminds me of delhi chaat. Another delicacy which we had was Tandoori idli, unique yet tasty. Diwani handi with roti for mains is perfect. Have the shahi veg pulao here too. End your meal with molten chocolate tart . Truely they deserve all the applause.

North indian food lovers, tantra will definitely serve you the best food. They some lip smacking food options in their menu. The chaats are just too good. Appetisers like dahi kebab and pukhraj seekh kebabs are just outstanding. Dum aloo punjabi with naan is a deadly combo to have. Daal makhani and jeera rice were superb. Hazelnut chocolate mousse is recently the best dessert i had. Tantra is exactly what a north indian food lover should visit.

Tantra, the name is kinda desi name. Even their food is desi, serving north indian dishes and some fusion food too. I loved their elaborative menu. In starters, banjara baby potatoes are super tasty which i loved it. Reshmi broccoli also was good. Dont miss the Bhindi kurkure subji. Falafel wraps were also worth tasting here. There is much more in their menu to try out. The delicacy they offer are remarkable. The service is quick. Food quality is supreme. Loved it.

My Family dinner made was perfect by tantra, located in chowpatty. Near westside. We had ordered, Manchow and tulsi tamatar soup, both were fabulous. Then, we tried the Papdi chaat, another marvellous delicacy by the chef. In starters, Reshmi broccoli was my favourite here. In subzi, Veg tawa was good. Matka biryani is a must try here, served in hot earther pot. Cheese corn balls can be ordered as a side dish. In dessert, Tiramisu is worth trying over. Tantra is my new favourite.

I saw the menu on zomato, and was amazed to see so many options. As suggested by the waiter, Garden fresh salad to start. Aloo tikki and banjara aloo were superb. Veg tawa, which had mix veggies made on tawa, have it with kulcha. In rice items, Paneer Tikka Biryani was awesome. The Tadkewali dal was phenomenal. For the desserts, Coffee tiramisu is one that you shouldn’t miss. Tantra is serving one of the finest food out there.

Tantra is that place, which i visited recently. Known for it’s superior food, they did impress me with their food. Starting from the Delhi chaat to the Punjabi north indian food. Fantastic food they serve. I really enjoyed Banjara Paneer, Dal Makhani and Mongolian Rice. Tantra is must visit restaurant if you ever thought of having north indian food around chowpatty.

Being a veggie food fan, it was totally necassary for me to try this place called Tantra situated at Chowpatty. It is very easy to locate as it is at the corner of the street.<br/>We were entertained quite well by the restaurant staff. They were nice and cordial. Mr. Anthony did a great work in handling the table.<br/>For the food I tried,<br/><br/>Papadi chaat: This is for all the chaat lovers. Its a new version of the traditional dahi puri wherein the puris were replaced with papadi and topped with ragada, chutneys, potatoes and sev. It truly truly amazing. The tangy chutney was truly lipsmacking.<br/><br/>Banjara Paneer: It was similar to paneer tikka but with a different blend of spices. Typical indian flavour served with salad. The paneer was super soft and tasty<br/><br/>Zattar Naan: Initially was very excited to taste this but it wasnt that great to be hyped of. But yes, the taste was good. The naan consisted of 4 peices stuffed with cheese and sprinkled with some special masala on top that added taste to the dish. This was also served with hummus. Overall it was good.<br/><br/>Red thai curry with Steam rice: I wish the restaurant could have served more thai curries, but even the red one was superb. It had all exotic veggies in it which was in a pure coconut milk curry enhancing thai flavours to the fullest.<br/><br/>Cheesy tawa pulao: Truly amazing. Regular tawa pulao with cheese on top was mastttt....<br/><br/>Gulab jamun parfait: it was a glass full of cake, gulab jamun and whipped cream with sprinklers on top. Was very heavy and tasty.<br/><br/>For the mocktails had their<br/>Narangi tulsi: Orange juice along with tulsi<br/>Ferrero rocher milkshake: just like an ordinary milkshake though.<br/><br/>Overall this place can cost 1200 to 1500 for two people and its worth the quality and food they provide<br/>Visit to Tantra was fab.

Having heard a lot about tantra from various sources over the weeks, @soumyaa and I personally felt it was high time we should be giving it a visit and we ended up here on Wednesday evening. Located in the posh Hughes Road, this place looks like an easy to miss place when you pass by in a hurry but once you do step in, the nostalgia of old world charm and a menu that brings a smile to your face welcomes you.The staff, as warm as ever patiently guide you through the whole thing and serve you very well. Our server for day was Mr. Anthony who was so passionate about bringing the best they have to offer to you, you simply couldn't say no.What we had:1. Veg Crispy: The good old desi Chinese classic, there is no way one can miss this. What stood out for me was the freshness of vegetables and the huge portion size, we simply could not finish it.2. AlooChaat, Delhi Style: Those who have been to Delhi and experienced their street food know for a fact that the joy that deep fried pieces of potato and topped with chutneys and assortment of masalas is sheer joy and am so glad we got to experience that in the city.3. For the mains, we opted to go simple. The good old dal khichdi was perfect and so soulful that we finished it in a jiffy. We took some masala khichya and tawa paneer as accompaniments and the paneer was melt in the mouth fabulous.3. The filter coffee tiramisu and virgin mojito were perfect accompaniments to our meal.

Looking at the reviews, and also their menu. Tantra was in my list. Begin with, Garden salad was my choice which was good. Chhole Samosa was superb, samosa and chhole were a perfect combo. The dahi kebabs served by them are tasty. Pav Bhaji Tart, another unique starter to start your meal. After this, try out Bhindi Masala and Patiyala kofta as your mains. The famous Hyderabadi Subj Biryani here served is too good. And for desserts, hazelnut chocolate mousse is a bang on dessert. Overall, Tantra is a great casual dining place

Some restaurant just create a image in your mind, which pulls you to them everytime you think of having food outside. Tantra is one of them. Serving some lip smacking north indian, they make sure you don’t get disappointed when you leave the restaurant. Chowpatty locality has this restaurant. Food here is colossal. Dahi kebabs, Cheese chilli kebabs, Veg Chop Masala in mains and shahi veg pulao are must try here. Good food is what defines this restaurant.

Chowpatty has many good options for north indian food. But Tantra is unique. Ambience is not so funky yet it’s nice. Visited here for dinner, we started with broccoli soup which was yummy. In appetisers, cheese chilli kebab was a worth trying. Reshmi broccoli is also must try. In mains, don’t miss the patiyala kofta with tandoori roti, great combo. Even their masala khichdi is good, flavour and taste is authentic and delicious. Locha naan is also recommended by them, do try it. An all vegetarian restaurant catering to the needs of the locality in which it is located.<br/><br/>Talking about what all we tried here -<br/><br/>We tried the Indian section of the menu only, began with some starters and called for Pav Bhaji Bruschetta, Chilli Cheese Kebab and Aloo Moti Kebab. The first are also available in Jain variants. Aloo Moti Kebab is the signature starter here where cheese balls are shallow fried and tossed with schezwan sauce. It can get a little spicy with schezwan. So is the Chilli Cheese Kebab, with cheese and capsicum blend is grilled. Pav Bhaji Bruschetta is a nice fusion with pav bhaji mixed with cheese served on toasted bread. All the 3 starters were stuffed with cheese due to which we decided to go light on the main course.<br/><br/>Along with food, we called for Kesar Thandai and Oreo Shake. Of the two would definitely recommend Kesar Thandai, very refreshing topped with badam flakes. Oreo Shake is nice too, you have options of Kit Kat, Ferrero Rocher besides the regular chocolate shake. Moving to mains, we called for Masala Khichdi, which was Dal Khichdi with vegetables - beans, carrots, chillies, peas. Gets served with Kadhi. Soul food and filling food, gives you the perfect satisfaction. Finally moving to the desserts, we called for Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse. Served in a Chocolate semi dome holder, dark chocolate mousse with hazelnut praline was good however felt the texture of mousse could have been a little light and airy. Taste was good though. A good option for veggie lovers and eaters when in town, you are surely in for a treat.

I’m writing this review as I’m so overwhelmed with food and service of Tantra restaurant. This place is in chowpatty, close by to westside store. The ambience is okayish, but for food they’ve been remarkable. They have north indian, oriental, around the world and chaats too. Just check out their menu and you’ll love the menu. Different food and great service by the staff. Dal khichdi, Banjara Paneer Tikka , Chhole Samosa chaat and many many more things are to be tried here.

Glad to have found this restaurant in chowpatty, as majority of the restaurants in this area are not so good. Tantra has it’s unique style. I always judge a restaurant by it’s food and not by it’s ambience. Tantra’s north indian delicacies are outstanding. Right from the chhole chaat to the Reshmi broccoli, the northern taste is just phenomenal. Diwani Handi with butter naan tasted extremely delicious. You’ll just love the presentation of food, quantity wise also it’s very good. Dessert here can be tried is Tiramisu. Superb job by team Tantra.

My previous visit with my friends was good at tantra, but this recent visit was fantastic. Tantra is situated nearby chowpatty. You can easily check out on google maps. The restaurant is decent in size. Waiters have good knowledge about food, service too is apt. Stuffed tandoori idli, a different makeover of regular south indian idlis which you’ll love. Dahi kebabs, delhi wale famous. Paneer gandhari for malai lovers. Dum aloo punjabi with stuffed kulcha was extraordinary. Pizza paratha was my favourite paratha. Tantra does have one of the tastiest north indian dishes in mumbai.
