Tantra is a newly opened restaurant in the Chowpatty Area. It is located near Bhavan’s college & they mainly serve Vegetarian Indian food. They were also accepting Zomato Gold, which made the entire dining much cheaper. There is vintage ambiance at this restaurant and the service is pretty quick.

We directly started our meal with Veg. Nizami in the main course which was suggested to us by the server. Veg. Nizami was a medium spicy onion gravy and it contained a mix of vegetables. This dish is also served in the Paneer version. The dish had thick gravy and it was overall very delicious. We tried the main course dish with Naan & Garlic Naan, which were both slightly smaller in portion size but they were made perfectly. We definitely liked the Garlic Naan more. We ended our meal with Veg. Hyderabadi Subz Biryani which was served along with Raita. The Biryani was pretty big in portion size and we were 3 adults who got sufficient portion from this. The flavor of the thick gravy and sufficient veggies definitely made this dish absolute worth every penny we paid.
Overall we felt that this was one of the best Vegetarian Restaurants in South Mumbai and it is definitely worth visiting this place.

The first thing I observed was the interior. It was happy and positive. Then comes the staff who was friendly and courteous especially Mr. Anthony!
Food was tasty and well presented. Also the quantity was satisfying. 5 stars for sure.
Being a vegetarian place, I was quite reluctant to go here. But Tantra surely makes it to one of the best places in South Mumbai! The mocktails are class apart!
•We tried the Virgin Colada, just a perfect blend of coconut milk cream with Pineapple.
•The Jalapeño Cheese rolls were a little too Cheesy! Actually I’m not a huge fan of cheese but it’ll surely be a delish for a Cheese Lover!
• Makhmali Kebabs were the best vegetarian kebabs I’ve ever had. They melt in your mouth, finely chopped veggies, garnished with Mustard fried veggies.
• Dal Khichdi, their Dal Khichdi is also the best I’ve ever had. But the manger suggested us to go for a tadka Dal Khichdi, and that just enhanced the taste with the right spices.
• Dessert was a molten chocolate tart. It was good too.
Overall a good experience. The staff was courteous and the Manager Mr. Anthony was very attentive and served us good. Taste was amazing! I would give a 5/5

Totally loved the interiors of this restaurant. It's a perfect place for family celebrations. They serve indian and Italian as well but I loved indian cuisine more here. We had pizza which quite small, mozzarella cheese sticks and paneer chilly. Would love to visit again

The food is good but the quantity is too less
Visited this place on a busy Sunday afternoon and there was a little waiting here for a table. The place is classic and displays the upper class of the bygone eras. The staff is very friendly and kind. Their service is pretty decent. The penne pasta in red sauce and garlic bread with cheese just make my Sunday lunch so ideal.
Basic place with basic ambience but extremely tasty and delicious food. Common dishes like paneer makhanwala and dal tadka are also quite satisfying and tasty here. It’s one of typical go to places when one can be assured that you will come back home feeling content.
This place is one of the old world charm kind of a place and has been around for some time now. It’s a vegetarians heaven as there is a lot of choice in the menu.
The tulsi tamatar shorba is quite refreshing and in the maincourse We liked the dal baati choorma here and the Biryani with some tadke wala dahi. It’s a home away from home for us who don’t take risks of trying too many new places. In the desserts don’t forget to try the gulabjamun parfait and the hazelnut mousse.

Opened 2 weeks back this place was buzzing with patrons on a Thursday night while walked in for our dinner 😀
The place has a mezzanine floor with 2 sections (Ideal for large gatherings) and ground floor with tastefully done interiors 🤩
The bar takes center stage is definitely a eye cather with its white terrazo make 🤩
The cocktail menu is very unique and will definitely tickle your buds with some fantastic in-house Cocktails / Classics and even a low-cal segment
We ordered for the classic "Whiskey Sour" neatly prepared - House pour was the newly launched Whiskey Bourbon blend "Lucifer" - One of the best I've had recently 🥃
"Espuma De Maracuya" was a in-house offering served in a majestic looking glass, was a concoction of Gin & Passion fruit puree blended with soda🍸
Coming to the food and this is where the magic starts 🌼
"Chipotle Chicken Wings" was definitely worth getting hands dirty, 6 pieces of spiced wings served with garlic Mayo sauce. If you like it even more Spicer opt for the Habanero version 🔥
"Gambas Chimichurri" for all Shrimp lover, king sized prawns pan tossed and covered with Chimichurri sauce - Give it a try ✅
"Croquetas De Pollo" was our favourite among the 3 appetizers we savoured, Crispy exterior with creamy chicken filling inside - Each bite was a treat! Accompanying garlic mayo is not be missed 😋
"Pan Seared Red Snapper" one of my personal favourite and prepared with a finese 💯 A generous chunk of Snapper pan seared to a perfect texture placed atop a heap of pesto flavored spaghetti 🍝 the butter sauce used here was commendable ✅
"Poco Loco Lamb Shank" stole my heart with its impeccable presentation 🤩 2 portions of shank with well cooked meat on them (Came off with ease) served on a bed of mash potato with rosemary sauce to go along with it 🤓
Ended with a delicious "Nutella Cheesecake" the cheesecake was baked to the right texture with a generous later of Nutella on top. Loved it!;
The cuisine here is experimental and it did not disappoint me, an etensive Jain menu is also available ✅
We had a excellent dining experience and ii can undoubtedly boast that the newly launched Poco Loco outlet is definitely an added jewel to Queen's Necklace for sure 👌
Amazing ambience, awesome food, rocking cocktails. Restaurant was full on a week day. Good show. Kudos to owner Chef Megha Datwani. Her 2nd branch after Khar also nice with also open dinning. Thank god for valet parking, as it is located at a busy junction. Advisable to book your table because of its growing popularity 👌👍👏👏💖

Tantra genuinely serves amazing veg food.
It’s a place to be in south Mumbai if you’re planning to go out with friends and family.
The interiors is very nice. Lots of wood and we especially loved the wooden fans ( The place is centrally air-conditioned but the fans have been maintained from the previous Parsi eatery here)
The seating was super comfortable, the staff was very efficient and the experienced.

In the main course we had the Paneer Makhani and Malai Kofta with Pizza Paratha it tasted well.

In desserts we tried out the Rajbhog/Malai ChamCham one but it was average. Presentation was good but taste wise didn’t like it.

Great and Often Casual place to hang out with your family and colleagues as well. The place is loacted near to the girgaon Chowpatty. One of the best place i have ever visited. Its a very dine restaurant. With great ambiance and staff as well.
I have visited with my friends last week for lunch. Basically the place is very rushy in the evening. You will literally have to wait for an hour in the evening time.

Tantra is very located on the exit of Padder road towards Chowpatty, juts a stone throw away from the beech. It is so conveniently located
that on crossing that it can be identified from very far off. The street gives a real look of the town side with perfect parking and not much hustle and bustle of the suburbs and then you have an amazing, beautiful TANTRA restaurant.
Its known for serving the traditional Gujarati and Jain food and of course they are known to have menu which is speciality for them.
Once you enter, it will give you the look of the classical restaurant with comfy seating on Sofa and chair with all wooden finish with quality cushioning. The table are arranged in a such a manner that it can cater from couple of people to a group of 15/20 persons.
The super quality lighting, perfect white wall colour give the outlet a rich look.
It caters the alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic beverages. There are wide variety of the dishes available, even if you select anyone you won’t be disappointed
Here is what we opted for
Mocktails:
ANAAR MOJITO: Fresh pomegranate Juice was spiked with pinch of mint and served with Basil leaf. Absolute cool drinks to sooth the belly.
SMOKED MARY: Woow, this was spicy Tomato juice and said to contain Indian herbs, Worcestershire; and has smoky flavour.
STARTER:
BADAMI TIKKI CHAAT: When it comes for a chaat, I really enjoy the Tikki chaat. The preparation was awesome and containing Badami Tikki with chhole and sweet curd.
NAWABI KHUMB: The mushroom was stuffed with minced vegetables and marinated in cream sauce and then was baked. It was really mouth-watering. It is Highly recommended
MAINS:
PANEER ZAFRANI: The soft paneer served with lasoon chutney, and gravy was made of almond. Its vegetarian delight.
DAAL BAATI CHURMA: I was looking this dish for a long time and finally we got it. A traditional Raajsthani dish. Panchmel Daal was served with Baati made from whole wheat,and Suji.
DESSERT:
Meal is not complete with the dessert and we tried very very special of the restaurant. This is called
TIRAMISU, A Italian dessert with chocolate in layers and expresso coffee taste. Though it was not part of the menu but Chef specially made for us.
Final Verdict: Its fine dine restaurant with lots of variety of vegetarian dishes at very reasonable prices.
Tantra- located at chowpatty is definitely going to be my favorite restaurant for veg food. Totally loved the food, service and off course the pleasant and relaxing ambience.
A good option for meals with family.
Since it was Thursday we decided to go for a veg restaurant. After long Zomato search we decided to go to Tantra. We were welcomed by Austin and trust me when it came to suggestions he provided us with some of the best. We totally loved our time at Tantra.

South Mumbai is where one can still find some British Colonial Influences. And one such place is Tantra, located at Hughes Road, at one of the busiest corners. You can't miss this one while passing by. Love the way the logo is designed. Tantra has 2 levels, with the upper deck having more seating. It can accommodate large groups as well. The best part here is you can find delicacies from across the western most part of undivided India to the eastern most part. They have made good additions of famous dishes from across the world and also added oriental dishes. All-in-all a good variety is what one can expect while visiting Tantra. An all vegetarian restaurant catering to the needs of the locality in which it is located.
Talking about what all we tried here -
We tried the Indian section of the menu only, began with some starters and called for Pav Bhaji Bruschetta, Chilli Cheese Kebab and Aloo Moti Kebab. The first are also available in Jain variants. Aloo Moti Kebab is the signature starter here where cheese balls are shallow fried and tossed with schezwan sauce. It can get a little spicy with schezwan. So is the Chilli Cheese Kebab, with cheese and capsicum blend is grilled. Pav Bhaji Bruschetta is a nice fusion with pav bhaji mixed with cheese served on toasted bread. All the 3 starters were stuffed with cheese due to which we decided to go light on the main course.
Along with food, we called for Kesar Thandai and Oreo Shake. Of the two would definitely recommend Kesar Thandai, very refreshing topped with badam flakes. Oreo Shake is nice too, you have options of Kit Kat, Ferrero Rocher besides the regular chocolate shake. Moving to mains, we called for Masala Khichdi, which was Dal Khichdi with vegetables - beans, carrots, chillies, peas. Gets served with Kadhi. Soul food and filling food, gives you the perfect satisfaction. Finally moving to the desserts, we called for Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse. Served in a Chocolate semi dome holder, dark chocolate mousse with hazelnut praline was good however felt the texture of mousse could have been a little light and airy. Taste was good though. A good option for veggie lovers and eaters when in town, you are surely in for a treat.

Late evening we stepped in with family and trust me we were very satisfied with the food.
Very Very courteous staff and good knowledge of menu.
For mocktails we tried - Kesari Thandai and Ferrero Rocher shake.
Kesari Thandai- sweet milk base drink (some what like non alcoholic Bhang) very well presented.
Ferraro Rocher - thick ferraro based drink with good amount of chocolate in it.
For starters we tried Angara Paneer Tikka - hot fresh paneer served with live fire and coal.
Paneer Chilli Pizza - very good toppings of paneer and large portion of pizza with thin crust base.
Chole Samosa Chat - hot samosa served with punjabi chole with sev and some sweet chutney.
For mains we tried Veg Jalfrezie with missi roti and butter kulcha - very nice presentation and preparation of fresh vegetables , very nice combination with missi roti and kulcha.
Staple hot dal khichidi was the best of all eaten so far, hot good for health and light to digest.
Tom and Jerry was the dessert we tried , custard base with whipped white cream..
At the end to sum it up , very much affordable and good ambience place to spend some quality time with family and friends, highly recommended.
