Review Asia Kitchen & Bar - Mumbai

We visited on 8th November. Asia Kitchen by Mainland China is one of my all time favourite place for fine dining and making good memories of great satisfying experiences. Besides chimes one can find Japanese Sushi and some Thai cuisine. For 3 of us it cost around INR 4000 - a good value for the money we spent.

Visited after 25 years! Valet parking available. Took my sister who was visiting from US and wanted to eat Mumbai Chinese. Even better now. Pepper garlic pomfret was wow! Schezwan prawns was the softest fresh! Japanese blue rice, awesome! We loved the experience. We were informed, unfortunately that it being Kartik Ekadashi no drinks will be served as it's a dry day (strange). No such board outside though. That was a bummer.

Excellent experience.... good food, good service and ambience. Went for the sit down fixed lunch, where several items are served like a buffet but on the table... starting with choice of soup, variety of starters, main course with varied veg and non veg dishes and several choices of dessert. Price is 1000 plus, valet parking available. Very good service which is charged in the bill. Overall a good experience and worth a visit for lovers of Asian food.

Amazing fine dining place to visit with family and friends. The variety is great, and staff is very helpful in terms of suggesting dishes, portions, and they ensure the food is as per your liking. Easily one of the best places for Oriental cuisine in Mumbai.

Good hotel to try Asian dishes like Thai, Chinese , Indonesian and Japanese... prawn temura sushi is best... chicken katsu bao is ok ok but dry.... Tom yom soup is must try..

I Tried their 10 Course Veg Lunch Set which is available for Rs 625 + TAX ( Mon - Thurs ) The Veg Lunch Set Menu was as follows :- * Tom Yum Soup * Basil Flavoured Vegetable Dumpling * Smoked Cottage Cheese * Corn Potato Tsing Hot Style * Stir Fried Asian Greens * Thai Green Curry * Hakka Noodles * Fried Rice * Steamed Coconut Dumplings with honey butter sauce Tom Yum Soup, Smoked Cottage Cheese, Basil flavoured Dumplings & Thai Green Curry were my favourite dishes. Enjoy the Basil Flavoured Dumplings with the sauces they provide. It enhances the flavour to a whole new level. I love the fact they don’t have buffet counters, rather they serve you your portions on your table so you can sit back & relax while they get your food to your table. Asia Kitchen offers ample indoor seating with subtle interiors and a calm vibe. Spacious seating area, decent food quality, ample food options, polite staff, quick service makes this place worth a visit. Places like Asia Kitchen are perfect for solo, business or family outings. All in all a great place to enjoy authentic Chinese & asian cuisine without burning a hole in your pocket.

The best of Asia kitchen 10 course lunch menu is amazing at just 625₹. The soup is bowl is tasty. You will definitely like the pepper chicken starter and paneer starter. Dimsum was perfectly made and we loved it. The maincourse had variety of option. Fried rice and Hakka noodles are must try over here. Ambience of the place is cozy and pretty. Definitely recommend the place to all the Chinese food lovers!

Never disappointed. Loved duck gravy during the previous visit. The last 2 times had their set menu which they promot to corporate employees for lunch. It is super filling and variety at the given rates is very good. Must try

I have visited mainland china twice. And i didn't like it both the times for various reasons.<br/>I look for 5 things to give 5 stars to a restaurant; namely Taste, Quality, Portion (quantity), Ambience and Price. This restaurant didn't fit to any of the criteria.<br/>1st visist we ordered pan fried noodles in chilli oyster sauce and mango pudding. They have no variety at all. Noodles with 4 different sauce, Rive with 4 different sauce, 3 sweets or some soup this is what they have if you don't opt for buffet.<br/>Coming to the taste noodles did taste good but it was average good. Although the mango pudding was definitely amazing it did sooth my taste buds. That was something that saved them.<br/>2nd time we went for the buffet to avoid the limited option. But that was another disappointment from a restaurant that has "name & fame". Even their buffet has limited items. For starter there was lollipop, fried chicken, chilly chicken, and dim sums. Only chilly chicken had appropriate taste dim sum was a disaster coming from a restaurant that's name is "mainland china". It tasted like the chicken is days old and had a weird smell.<br/>Soup was served before the starter which was okayish... For main course they had 2 punjabi gravies, butter naans and noodles. No other main course options. Although even 2nd time their desert saved them at the end.... Wide range of deserts and sweets... Vanilla and strawberry ice cream, chocolate syrup to top it, caramel custard, cream mouse, small pastry pieces and multiple fruits.<br/>That was a little relief.<br/>I don't want to talk about the ambience which was nothing and don't even want to get started on the prices that are too much as compare to the food taste and quantity.<br/><br/>Overall Experience 2.8/5<br/>Taste 2.4/5<br/>Quality 3/5<br/>Quantity 3/5<br/>Ambience 2.9/5<br/>Price 2.3/5<br/>T

Have been dining and ordering food from Asia Kitchen regularly and there's a perceptive drop in the quality of the ingredients as well as the preparations during the lockdown. The mains are mostly undifferentiated - one can't tell one from the other - and the rice and noodles worse than the fare one gets from regular Chindian restuarants. After our last two delivery experiences, we're done with this place. Would rather order from a 5 Spice - at least one knows what to expect from them.

This restaurant is one of the places that my family and I love visiting! Be it the food, ambience or service, it’s always up to the mark. However, given the current covid situation, we decided to opt for home delivery and I must say I was really disappointed by the portion size of each dish given that the prices are pretty high. <br/>And also the food was yummy, I was kinda taken a back with the quantity.<br/>Request you to please try increasing the portion of each dish to be in par with the price.<br/>Other than that... can’t wait to visit the restaurant again once everything gets back to normal!!

Mainland China is a good fine dining restaurant for Chinese food. We simply love their dimsums, chicken pan-fried noodles and caramel coconut custard, to name a few. This restaurant has been consistent in terms of food and service and never disappoints. ALSO THIS IS AN OLD UPDATE.

I received stale food from Asia Kitchen. I had ordered noodles, chicken basil dimsum and Taos chicken on the side. The chicken side dish was stale. The chicken was hard and smelling. The gravy seemed to have been prepared fresh so that the smell of the stale chicken could be masked. I literally had to dumb the entire chicken dish into the bin. Extremely disappointed with them. They charge almost double the price of some other restaurants, and this is the quality of food that they serve to their customers. Appaling!

The worst Chinese food ever the non veg starter has no taste no quantity ,the chilly chicken was the worst roadside will be better. Mandarin Oak is good .Please dont fleece customers. I had to order from another place since was s o unhappy with the quantity and taste.Sorfy to say you guys sucks I will surely be there to inform you personally for sure.

Ordered different items and taste is the same for all.Appently they dont have a chef. So the so called assistant chef has taken over and dishing out rubbish sauces used was the same for all items.2nd time I have ordered in this lockdown. Neve ever will I order from them.

Mainland China never disappoints and Asia Kitchen in saki naka, absolutely lived up to my expectations. Since this was the first I was going to have the mainland buffet at this outlet, I was a little apprehensive. But soon after entering the restaurant, I realized my apprehensions we're in vain. Beautiful ambience and very professional and courteous staff. But the real delight was the food. Perfectly prepared leaving not the slightest cause for complaint. Absolutely everything item in the buffet was perfect and incredibly delicious, making it rather difficult to make my choice. The soup was probably one of the best soups I have had in the last few months. Neither too think not too dilute, neither too flavourful nor too bland, neither too heavy nor too light, it was literally the star of the day. Even my friend couldn't help but finish his entire bowl, though there was an entire line-up of dishes too be had. The main course was literally finger-licking! KFC ought to surrender their slogan. At this point I wondered if I should have starved myself for an entire day, because the food was only getting better and better while I was running out of storage space in my stomach. The final dessert ensemble was just joy! That's literally the best way to describe it. At this point I cursed my full stomach. I really wanted a second serving of the dessert but alas! I was packed. In the end, my final amazing experience in the restaurant came from a rather unlikely place-- the washroom. This was probably the cleanest washrooms I have seen in months and there was a scented candle lit inside, which let out the most sweetest fragrance. The fragrance was not just sweet but was soothing, almost healing. I had a rather weird desire to just keep sitting in the washroom owing to its clean and soothing and healing ambience. <br/>The entire experience was so incredible that I felt that I got a lot more value for my money. This is one place you really need to check out, especially if out with family. Also, perfectly suitable for that perfect, sophisticated date. One of the best outlets of Mainland China. If you are a Mainland China fan, don't miss this one; if you are yet to try it, start with this. <br/>I personally wanted to congratulate the manager, although he wasn't around when I was leaving.

The waiting time between dishes was enormous. Had to wait for an entire 45-50 mins for a dish. Very poor service. It's high time restaurants realize food business isn't guaranteed by just good food, start respecting consumers time.

Tasty food, need to improvise on mocktails

This was my first visit to Asia Kitchen. As you enter the positive vibes hit you. The decoration and ambience is amazing. The staff is always wearing a smile. Satff is very courteous and helpful. They have a amazing bar selection. The Sushi platers are amazing. They have both Ala-cart and buffet system. Varieties in the Ala-cart is amazing. The choice in noodles are available so they can be customized as per your requirement. The taste is amazing. Would be definitely visiting again soon. Will be definitely recommending it to my friends and family.

When I checked the bill one of the drinks was charged over twice the price.

Place is a bit congested. Food quality medium, not as per the mark. Quality of crockery which is not so good.

They are quite famous for their buffet meals as most of the crowd hunts in for that<br/>We tried the a la carte menu.<br/>The menu was fancy and we had to use a tab to enter in our choice.<br/>Each item had a corresponding picture with it that gives you a gist.<br/>The cake was beautiful with a glazed later of toffee caramel.<br/>The cheese fingers were bomb and had a crunchy coating on the outside and cheesy and warm on the inside<br/>The staff is quite okay

I visited this restaurant with my friends on my birthday. The food is extremely delicious. I have always attended afternoon buffet in other outlets. They serve the best Chinese food. Staff is extremely humble and polite. Great place.

Mainland China normally has good food but the experience here was bad , food was not upto the mark and service was very slow ....

Go here for light meals before heading to the airport. Little heavy on the pocket. Standard service and ambience you expect from Mainland China, nothing to review there. Book in advance as this is prime location.

You order a sushi from this place and they expect you to have it with your hand . <br/>Can the restaurant with some common sense is suppose to send the chopsticks aswell <br/>Also the soy sauce is so so salty . <br/>NOT WORTH as basics missing

I just loved everything about this place. The Sake cocktail was a treat to taste. Their fried sushi roll was something new. It's not authentic Chinese place but the remix version provides you a good refreshing experience. Their staff is amazing specially Chandra who recommended us everything so good.

Went here for a lunch buffet. <br/>Some starters were really nice like the dim sums, fish, corn crispy; some were average. Mains are also limited but really nice tasting. Good options in dessert too. The experience is good, however the food could be more authentic.

I went there for my Boss's farewell lunch and trust me it was a delight. They arranged everything that we wanted apart from the set buffet menu and made our experience memorable.

One of the best places to find Chinese food here in mumbai! Soups and pan fried noodles is a must try from my end!!

It can serve two people easily.<br/><br/>Moving to the mains I was very confused but then the server suggested 'Toban fried rice with Edamame and veggies' & what a delight for the day! It was a perfect combination & again portioning is done with their whole heart!<br/><br/>This outlet had a quite different menu than rest of the Mainland China outlets but it did wonders to my meal experience just how all the Mainland China outlets have done!<br/><br/>Highly recommended to all. I had my first Ramen bowl here and now i take all my friends along to try that because it's so so so good! Tried other south asian dishes as well including the crystal dumplings and sushi. Both the dishes were finger lickin good.

Visited the place some time back and had a amazingly delicious sushi at the place. It was really well cooked and served, I absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend it if you are visiting the place.

It always feel good whenever we visit mainland China. The food has it's very own taste which rejuvenates you. This time a came across one peculiar incident that when I asked one of the waiter about getting something for munching along with beer then he nodded and went away. We waited for some time and then when I asked another waiter about it and this one straight away refused it. But then the earlier waiter showed up after some time and gave us French fries. So my whole point is does Mainland China has any policies about these cases or not?

The finest asian restaurant in Sakinaka. Sushi is the best here. Apart from that their noodles, prawns and dumplings are also very delicious. I would love to visit again.

Ordered Poached Chicken Salad with Crispy Rice and Viatnamese mint and Asian Pickled Peppered Chicken. The food was really tasty whereas the service was unbeatable. The staff was really efficient and quick. We barely had to wait for the food to arrive.

Asia kitchen is pretty close to my place (Powai) so we opted to go to this place. <br/>Located on a busy street, the traffic can be a tad frustrating but the valet guys outside the restaurant are pretty efficient and so parking isn’t an issue. <br/>The staff is very polite and friendly. <br/>They help you and guide you well with the menu. <br/>My father loves spicy food and so they suggested options accordingly. Mainland China never lets you down. Whether it is quality of food, or quantity. I ordered a non veg Bento box. It included 1 portion non veg hakka noodles, two dumplings, 1 portion, pepper chicken and 1 portion chicken gravy. The food was absolutely awesome. Plus the chunky pieces of chicken only added to the flavour. All this came neatly packed in a plastic box.

I have found a new favourite which is in Sakinaka. It serves one of the most beautiful and the most delicious asian food in the whole country.<br/><br/>We ordered wonton chicken soup, chilli potatoes and chicken haka noodles.<br/><br/>There’s so much which I haven’t tasted yet so I’m really excited to go back for more.

Ohh guys I am yet to come across a restaurant like this one. The waiter who served us noticed that we were not happy with the taste of one of their dish and he was quick to offer apologies as well. And he did all that was s necessary to get it right. Felt so happy to receive such top notch service. I loved this place alot. One of my favorites. I loved prawn tempura shushi roll alot. It was too good. Ambience was also very good. The bar here is too good and has alot of varities. Chilli garlic noodles here are worth tasting. Totally worth the price. Staff was also good and helpful.

People have always told me about this restaurant a lot. When finally I decided to go and check a hospitality of Asia Kitchen by Mainland China. This place have a really good environment.<br/><br/>Some of the best dishes are chicken momos, chicken soup, chicken salad and chicken biryani. The prices of all the dishes are pocket friendly. The staff is very courteous and the service is also fast and efficient.<br/><br/>I would certainly recommend you guys to visit this outlet of Mainland China. Nice atmosphere and amazing pan asian food.<br/>The starters were amazing and so does the soup.<br/>For main course we ordered curry and burnt garlic rice which was good and the 2nd dish was noodles which were kind of sweet so it was ok, not that great!<br/>Overall it was a good experience

It was one of my friends 20th Birthday when we reserved a table at Mainland China. Asia kitchen is located at the busy Saki Naka signal. <br/>It had a valet which is absolutely necessary for the location.<br/>The restaurant is pretty spacious and quiet.<br/><br/>I was excited to try the sushi.<br/><br/>What we ordered :<br/><br/>1) Salmon sushi : it was nice. The fish was fresh. And it was decently sized. They have 4 piece option.<br/>2) cream cheese avacado sushi: this was nice too. <br/>3) pan fried noodles : they was spicy and the sauce was perfect for the stir fried noodles.<br/><br/>The only issue is the sushi menu is very limited.<br/>

It was my Grandfather's birthday so we decided to get some food delivered from Mainland China which is known by Asia Kitchen now a days . The location is still the same at Sakinaka but the menu is heavily revised now . But a few things are still good , classic and from the old menu . We got our favourite Mixed Meat Fried Rice and also got a Prawn in White Garlic Sauce . Mixed Meat Fried Rice is definitely one of my favourite Fried rice . It is really flavourful and fragrant with loads of Chicken , Lamb , Egg and Prawns . The portion was also great for the price . It really tastes authentic and is amazing overall . The Prawn in White Garlicy Sauce which is a new dish and is just Superb . It is a perfect Prawn dish , amazing tasty sauce with a light garlicy gravy and also had loads of Veggies like Broccoli , Beans and bell peppers . The Prawns were huge too and with the light , fragrant and delicious gravy it was perfect . The food was great overall and mg grandparents really enjoyed .

So I visited this place during my visit to Mumbai and it went out really well. The staff was very nice and polite. The food is the best here. Ambiance is also very nice.
