Thalassa goa has been one of my favourite place for years now, was happy and quiet skeptical, happy having my favourite restaurant in town and skeptical as to how would d ambience be at d khar Thalassa, since its not a sea view place..
As we enter, we are greeted wid warm and enchanting ambience, a perfect place for a date nite..
Al fresco, is d word for d season..
Service was good and welcoming..
Authentic greek cuisine dominated most of d menu.. Wat we ordered and recommend,
Cocktails were pretty decent, wat u can try is,
~ Mykonos Blue - bacardi, passion fruit, pineapple juice, blue curacao, ice cream..
~ Plum and Basil Mojito - Bacardi, fresh plum, basil leaves, lime wedges, cranberry juice, sweet and sour mix
~ Gates of Olympia - whisky, basil leaves & pineapple juice..
~ Sea Breeze - Orange, Pineapple & Lime Juice, greandine
Food,
~ Tzatziki - yoghurt, cucumber, garlic & olive oil dip served with hot pita bread.. A must order dish
~ Spicy Veggie Saganaki - veggies cooked in fresh spicy tomato sauce, greek herbs, topped with cheddar & feta cheese..
~ Small Greek Village Pizza - tomatoes, onions, capsicum, basil, olives, kalamata olive oil & oregano.. yummy, a must order👌🏼
~ Kolokithokeftedes - fried zucini balls.. good👍
~ Horiatiki Salad - Taraditional Greek salad with large chunks of tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, capsicum, kalamata oilves, kalamata olive oil and feta topped with fresh oregano.. was fresh and healthy choice of d evening..
~ Watermelon, Feta and Mint Salad - a refreshing salad dressed with kalamata olive oil, served chilled.. was ok..
~ Feta Mousaka - layers of vegetables with melted feta cheese.. dint enjoy this one, can give it a miss..
~ Lachanikon Risotto - with veggies in a creamy, slow-cooked tomato sauce.. Loved it, wiped up d whole plate clean, must try..
The Meal sadly dint end wid a bang for us, Dessert,
~ Baklava, was ok..
~ Chocolate Baklava, very ok..
~ Chocolate Cheese Cake, decent..
Overall lovely ambience, good service, decent food, prices are on d higher side, but d fresh ingredients and d ambience totally does justice to it..
We are not much of d authentic greek food fan, since it misses d masalas and is simple and comforting food wid lot of olive oil drizzles and cheeses.. But Thalassa did impress us..
Bon Apetit 👍
