A tiny café located right in front if the Borivali railway station, but the food is totally totally totally authentic... Filter coffee and the rava dosa still make me nostalgic of my high school days when i used to visit there after my school with friends ;)

I just love uttapam from IDC the special masala they use is mouth watering.
This is the most fluffy, cloudy & elegant idli, i've ever had, it melts in the mouth and the texture is so soft, the loads of ghee perfectly blends with the stupendous Malgapudi masala over the idli really kicks in and changes the whole texture and flavour and takes the dish to another level. This dish is truly a relish and building a legacy on its own 💯👏❤️
Also the chutneys were outstanding and of great quality .
The Malgapudi masala was so good, that i bought a loose packet of it which they sell❤️
This place is quite famous for desert dishes like pineapple sheera. You will find this place always fully packed. Service and quality are upto the mark. It serves typical south indian food.
The dish served in IDC was very fresh and delicious, the idli was soft and it was topped with ghee and served with two different types of chutney which was tempting. They serve the whole dish in a banana leaf and a plate which was very environmental friendly which is a plus point.
• The best place for authentic South Indian breakfast near Borivali Station.
• This place have both a/c and non a/c seating.
• We tried Filter kapi, Ragi masala dosa, Ragi Dosa,Rava Masala dosa, Masala dosa, Vada, Kerala paratha with curry.
• All the dosa's are served with sambar, coconut chutney, and tomato chutney.
• Filter kapi is so refreshing.
• Kerala paratha and curry was very tasty but they gave only one small size paratho, I think they should have given 2 paratho for that price. Lil disappointed.

Its a best place to sip a coffee when u are in a hurry to catch a train..its very close to borivali station serving good filter coffee.
The place is hygenic and service is fast. Though the seating arrangmwnt is limited, the place has huge variety of food to offer.
As authentic as it can get. Simple and classy at the same time this cafe is the dream of every south Indian food loving person. It's got everything your taste buds crave for and would not disappoint.
This place near borivali station west is very well suited with all the facilities that you need. Good space, comfortable chairs, good staff and amazing food.
Filter Coffee is one of the many strong points of the menu. Along with the Kerala paratha(In the picture) both the dishes don't fail to satisfy your taste buds and would highly suggest it.
They only serve vegetarian food and are at their best at what they do.
The cafe encourages self service which shows the Indian cultural aspect of the place with takeaway option available too.
Granville kitchen's Idli.Dosa.Coffee. is the perfect place to snack if you ever visit Borivali.
😍😍😍
I liked your food very much and it was awesome and management was also excellent
One of the best place to have South Indian food. ❤️
It is a self service place, even though its crowded the food is provided on time.
Food served is well served in use and throw plates which is decorated with banana leaf. Which is more tempting looking at it. Place is clean and have sitting area but if its full you have to have your food standing but its still comfortable because the arrangements are that well.
i ordered coffee because i was tired from work and trust me it was one of the best coffee i had . its near borivali station so if your train is late or you have good time and want to have nice snack do visit this place.
Little on the expensive side but Amazing masala idli and all the chutneys are yum ! Taste is on point
It's my good to go place anytime, the quality of food available here is good. Its nearby Borivali west station only hence it is very convenient too. The best part I love about this place is Filter coffee, Rava Dosa and the Chutney. It's a good place to visit.

Steaming podi idli (masala idli) dressed up in desi ghee at IDC borivali. Perfect way to start your day. Comfort food of all times. Must try!
Idlis from a steamed bath waiting to get sloshed in delicious sambaar. Is there any better way to start your day!
Wholesome breakfast at IDC borivali.
There's coffee. Then there is good coffee. Then there is 'filter coffee'.
It's a glass full of Nirvana.
Enjoy piping hot filter coffee after your breakfast at IDC.

One of the best place for South Indian cuisine. Masala Dosa in Ghee is way too delicious and their chutney is amazing too! Masala Idli is perfect too. Nice service and must visit place.
Situated opp Borivali station known for south Indian delicacy this place serves amazing South Indian food they also have seating arrangement inside and my fav here is their filter coffee masala uttapam and dosa and best thing is that they have open kitchen .Staff is also polite and friendly
I have been there for many times. It's very near to station and market. Food quality is good here. I liked ghee dosa, masala idli and Rava dosa which the best for me. Texture of chutney is superb. It's self service like system. U have to wait to get order in evening bcoz crowd of people is there. It's natural to wait if u need to have food.rates little high but to get good quality of food u have to forget price level. Filter coffee tastes pure south Indian taste. In the end should try once to see this venue and surely you will love it. Sp idli masala has a unique taste. Staff is polite here. For cleanliness it's very good. So do visit IDC kyunki "KHAOGE TOH hi JANOGE NA. "

I would highly recommend you all to try out the filter coffee which is something just heavenly ! 😍 I'm not much a fan of South Indian food but to be honest I completely changed my views when I tried neer dosa, benne dosa (which was recommended by them) ,wheat paratha nd the filtered coffee which made me fall in love with it 😍❤️ would surely visit back to try out many more dishes which I'm eager to try

The Food was absolutely Amazing. So was the coffee.
The ghee idlis and ghee masala idlis are awesome. We are fans!
When it comes to South Indian fast food, there is no better place to enjoy them more than this one. Located at a stone throw distance from Borivali railway station, it is divided into 3 sections. Outside seating area being one, second is a standing area with tall tables. Third is an underground seating area which is air conditioned and seating here is comfortable. The service is decent and food takes a bit of time to get prepared if the place is crowded.
The most essential part of any restaurant is their food and they simply excel at what they serve. Food is prepared with quality ingredients and are full of flavour.
We had the following to eat :
▪️Open Masala Dosa Ghee - Delicious South Indian snack doesn't get any better than a twist on the traditional Masala Dosa, where the Potato Masala was laden with some scraped Carrot, the Dosa was prepared in Ghee and scrumptious Pudi Chutney spread on top of it..🥰
▪️Masala Uttapam - Nicely cooked uttapam which had potato masala on top and covered by pudi chutney. Highly recommend this for Uttapam lovers..😍
▪️Onion Rava Dosa - Crispy Rava dosa that had the crunch on every bite that we took. Have to say their chutneys are not watery at all and add that extra element to any dish..🤤

If you are in Borivali and craving for authentic south indian food then i will only recommend you this place and no one else.
Pricing is average but food is very delicious. I will highly recommend you to try their UPMA and SADA BUTTER DOSA.
Service is quick and if you are thinking of ordering online from here or pick up then their packing is too good.
Now they have ac seating in underground and outside seating at top. They have self service but they will serve you in indoor seating.
You can also try their PINEAPPLE SHIRA and PAROTA WITH CURRY.
They have 3 branches in Borivali itself... I have tasted almost all types of cuisine here.. punjabi dishes are awesome... Chinese Biryani is lip smacking.. Also try chilli mili, IDC is my favourite for South Indian dishes.. i love Mysore dosa.. especially it is made in Ghee also very crispy and little thick with a nice crunch❤️ The main branch also serves Buffet, Gujarati thali is heart touching with surati daal. Not to forget Jain food is super amazing ❤️❤️❤️
So finally i had a decent sambar in borivali which was not sweet and had appropriate vegetables
Idli was soft and the serving was generous for 1. I lived the filter coffee. Great taste and aroma. A bit sweeter for me but i could ignore that😊
It's a joint, not much sitting....but the food is amazing....pure South Indian udipi style food.
A different shaped idli is a delight to see and eat.
Masala Idli is not to be missed at all ! The way they make it is awesome.
Dosa they prepare is also ghee dipped but not a thin one....it's crisp and a little thick.
Overall amazing food ! Very tasty !
Great South Indian dishes.
The taste is very good.
Most important it has a typical and well flavored dishes.
Presentation, quality and quantity is good.
Granville idc kitchen restaurant is mostly known for its South Indian dishes and is situated just opposite to the Borivali station . The place has decent ambience. The place is popular amongst the local people and the office goers for a quick snack. Here we tried masala dosa , rava masala dosa , medu vada along with some filter coffee. The masala dosa tasted absolutely delicious and was very well prepared, the rava masala dosa too was very well done . The menu vada was fried to perfection , all these dishes were served with sambhar and a few delicious chutneys . The filter coffee acted as the perfect accompaniment with the meal. All in all a very good experience, this place is perfect for a quick South Indian snack .

We ordered for idli and dosas. Delivery was too fast. This time we had great experience.
Keep it up......
Home delivery was very bad experience this time.
Delivery was late. It was not on time. Before giving delivery , rider marks that parcel order is at your door. And on calling rider where have u reached. He replies that i m just coming up.
Also the dosa masala was not hot. Sambhar was cold, as seems they forgot to reheat. I found insect in sambhar . Refer pic.
All mistakes could be taken care but using uncleaned grossary is not acceptable...

IDC is place located in the heart of borivali which serves authentic south Indian food.
They have a spacious seating arrangement with AC on the ground floor. Staff is polite and helpful. Service is quick. Price is bit expensive in terms of food quality and quantity.

It would be wonderful if another bigger branch opens up.
Perfect food for morning breakfast, evening snacks or a light dinner 👍
Visited this place just because of their delicious and authentic dosa. their ghee masala dosa and masala uttapam are must try. many time we ordered dosa also at home and they have perfect packing for their dosa, sambhar, and chutney. loved their coconut chutney.

Located right outside the Borivali Station, Platform 3. This place hides in plain sight. They have one of the best South Indian cuisine. Crisp dosas, tasteful chutney, sambhar and very pocket friendly. 5/5 would recommend
Situated at a prominent place, opposite to Borivali Railway Station, this restaurant serves superb south Indian food stuff. Masala Idli and Open Masala Dosa is must try. They have lot of variety when it comes to healthy south Indian snacks like Ragi Dosa, Ragi Uttapam and many more. After having yummy meals, south Indian style strong filter coffee is must try.
Masala Idli was amazing but portion size could have been bigger. Freshly grated carrot & coconut served with open masala dosa was a great healthy accompaniment. Kara chutney is delicious. I ordered a delivery this time but will enjoy these fresh at their restaurant to justify these delicacies.
Met the owner who hails from Bangalore so one can expect authentic south indian flavours with no frills. The chutneys and sambar have amazing tastes the bene dosa comes with their signature white butter.the dosa was soft n fluffy n piping hot.idli was so soft that one cud damage even while carefully cutting it. Rawa dosa was crisp yet light and soft on the palate. It has self service as well as ac dining area.staff and owner is courteous and attentive. One won't regret at all with the quality of food they have to offer with good hygiene maintained.
Best location. Right opposite Borivali Station.
Good place if you want to have south indian dishes alongwith good filter coffee.
Recommended for evening snacks specially.
Best place to have south Indian food. This small place is my favorite place for Idli and Medu vada. Especially , their tomato chutney is to die for. I love the way they give Idli. My all time favourite is butter Idli and filter coffee.
Must try if you love South Indian food.
A big fat thumbs up 👍
Best place to order South Indian food. Note: not the “shetty-shitty” South Indian.
First thing is sambhar- it’s real and not SWEET🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺
Idlis are awesome.
My favourite is their coconut chutney and tomato chutney.
Must try is almost entire menu. Awesome tasty food. Only down side is they have worst delivery and packaging. Every time my idli box is crushed like papad.
Good food, you must try
If you crave some authentic South Indian food , you know where to go. Do try their Kaapi its pure love ♥️

Its a hidden gem for idli lovers!❤️ They serve authentic south indian taste! The idli served by them was a bit big in size compared to the normal idli and we found that interesting. We had
🔺Masala Idli- Idli topped with ghee and lots of masala on it will surely drool you! The best masala idli i have ever had till date!!!
Highly Recommended ❤️👍🏻
🔺Suga Idli- Idli topped with vegetable curry was good in taste.
The sambhar and chutney served with it were also tasty!
It was an amazing experience!!
I make it a point to visit this place every weekend for their mouth smacking authentic South Indian food. This is the only place I’ve come across in Mumbai that doesn’t serve SWEET sambar and the chutneys are not watery... phewww what a relief 😅... by far the best South Indian joint in this area (This is coming from a kannadiga who is very choosy when it comes to South Indian food)

5 Stars mainly because of the hygiene maintained. The quality and the quantity too is very fulfilling. Try the rava dosa which is very crisp, also the idli masala is yummmm. The idli is very soft, masalas sprinkled on the top sticking to the base. They provide 2 chutney, coconut and tomato, both are nice plus the sambhar. The filter coffee is also good. Happy overall!
Awesome one. Really loves lot, fan of IDC kitchen 😎 loves masala idli lot. Always loves to visit n eat loves surve plate too😄 request you to open outlet in central line
Food is too good having authentic South Indian taste with 2 types for chutney and sambhar, Rawa dosa was good with crispy and masala was too good. Must vist once for breakfast or anytime in day
Untill now I have visited this place several times . And I have been overwhelmed with the kind of taste and quantity that IDC offers.
But today I was disappointed with the order. I ordered set Dosa and pineapple Sheera. The quantity of the same was less also the set Dosa vegetable wasn't that good. I have observed regarding the quantity that they offer lesser quantity in the evenings. However they should offer the same quantity irrespective of the time because we pay the same price for food at any time of the day.
Special note: Do not try set Dosa if you are two or more. It suffices only one person
But this place is a must visit otherwise for the quality and quantity of food served
Good Breakfast Option in Borivali.
IDC was originally opposite the Borivali West Railway station, but last year they have shifted to Granville Greens.
Taste and quality of food is really good. Must try the Thatte Idli, Medu Vada & Filter coffee.
Ample of tables available for the bigger groups as well.
Love South Indian cuisine? 😻
This place, right opposite to Borivali station and near to Borivali Court is the finest place I've everrrr been to for south indian food!
They serve all the dishes in pure ghee and pure butter! You can literally feel the aroma coming through your plate..
The place is quite small and has hardly 3-4 tables, also you can stand inside and enjoy the food.
I have been here so many times and this place has never failed to surprise me☺️
Must try dishes are:
1. Podi Idli
2. Masala Uttapam
3. Rava Masala Dosa
4. Mendu wada
5. Pineapple sheera
6. Crispy paper dosa
Also, the filter coffee is a must try here..
The best part is you don't have to wait for long. The service is really fast inspite of being crowded and no matter what you order, the food served will always be freshly made and super hot.
Amazingg place to try south indian food! 😻
Good restaurant for having South Indian food. Can't compare the authenticity with Ramashray or manis, but food is good. It's located exactly opposite to Borivali station on the West. So easily accessible. Non Ac section is like a stand by fast food place, there is little place to sit. However AC section has good sitting place. Well, food is good. Dosas are nicely made but I think oil or butter could have been used little lesser. I had Sada Dosa, onion rava dosa, Neer dosa, idli wada and coffee. Neer dosa was nice but idli was awesome. Best point goes, however to the coffee, which was really really good. It's overall an average South Indian food place. Once try of course. For idli and coffee at least.

Awesome authentic taste, quick service, reasonable price, convenient location - and you can choose from a quick standing self service or a sit down AC service in the basement. Don’t expect sophisticated ambience. But if you are looking for great taste, this should be your go to place for an authentic dose of South Indian food.
The food was delicious. I had ordered Mysore Masala Dosa and it was amazing. The crisp and the layer was great. Even the Coconut Chutney & Sambar were perfect and fresh. It's just outside Borivali Station. Will recommend to give it a shot for a quick snack.
Of the wonderful place to eat authentic South Indian food.
*Food - tried their set dosa and pineapple sheera loved it both, earlier I had tried their idli vada and masala uttapam as well.
The set dosa were super soft and served with yummy curry wasn't too spicy.
Pineapple sheera was loaded with ghee and had pineapple chunks.
The masala uttapam was quite heavy it had potato sabji and coconut pieces it's served with different chutney's the chopped green chillies add a little spicy taste.
The size of idli and vada is big and it's frehly made.
The kichten has transperent shield so we can watch the m cook.
Food is severed on a plate and banana leaf which adds a traditional touch.
They also have tea coffee, ghee dosa, Malabar paratha.
*Hygiene and safety- the sanitizer is placed at the entrance and the place is kept clean. There is a wash basin and hadwash outside.
They have coupon system for placing order.
The indoor area is neat and clean, outdoor seating area is also cleaned multiple times a day.
*Price - the prices is reasonable for the quality offered.
*Service and attributes-
The service is quick, the staff is polite.
They have set up chaat, Frankie, sandwich and juice counter outside.
There is a seating area outside but there is no seating area inside, there are tables and Slabs made to keep the plates and dine.
They offer takeaway and delivery extra charges are applicable for takeway.
The also sell idli dosa batter and chutney packs.
Crowded at times as people visit for snack and tea coffee.
It is a self service restaurant.
The entrance is not accessible ♿❌
They do not have washrooms.
Parking space not available.
Came here on early weekday morning for Thatte Idli/Masala Idli. Loved the taste. We got two more takeaway Masala Idli. Had Neer Dosa as well (some people will like it, some don't). I personally enjoyed it along with Pineapple sheera. Filter Coffee is great as well
Masala Idli is clearly a winner. 🏆🥇
Granville IDC Kitchen
Granville IDC Kitchen Is located near Borivali west Station..!
They serve a variety of dosas,Idli, uttapam, coffee and many more.!
Place is quite small With decent and simple ambiance.
They have a limited seating arrangement.!
Food was served in sal leaf plate. It is a very good step towards environment safety measures. I really liked this idea of using eco-friendly plates and I really appreciate IDC for that.!
We had:
🔹Masala Idli:
masala idli was too delicious and it was served with tomato Chutney, coconut Chutney and Sambar.
Idli was so soft and fluffy it just melted in my mouth and Ghee and malgapudi masala Perfectly blended over the Idli.
Taste was pure and unflawed.
🔹Neer dosa:
I tried Neer Dosa for the very first time I must say it was too delicious.
It was different from normal Dosa and it was served with tomato coconut Chutney and Sambar Chutney and Sambar was too yummy.!
Overall great experience and I must say that this is restaurant that serves amazing South Indian food at really affordable price..! Those who love South Indian food, this is the perfect place for you guys.!
Food - Offers all the basic South Indian dishes with lots of variations. Also offers mini meals in form of paratha with curry dishes.
We tried traditional medu wada. Well made, large portions served with tomato chutney and sambar. Wheat paratha and Kerala paratha along with curry was a good and filling dish. Ghee Pongal was good.
Service - Self service. The serving staff was polite and prompt.
Ambiance - The seating area is in open whereas one can stand and eat inside the restaurant. The place is kept nice and clean.
Located opposite to Borivali west railway station, A nice place to have a good munch.
Recommended.
Granville IDC very comfort cheap pocket friendly quite a lot authentic southie food. May be one can say limited menu but still good amount of variety. Idlis, dosas, vadas, sheera and lot more with variety. Best part of this place for me is SELF SERVICE. Get your food by yourself and throw also by yourself. Sustainable crockery in banana leaves. Parking can be a lil bit of issue as place doesn't have its own parking area. Definitely try for filter coffee and tasty healthy food option.
I ordered masala idli and ghee masala dosa. Loved it! Totally worth trying. Filter coffee was also good. Authentic food with reasonable price 👍🏼
I have been here many times and I can surely say that this outlet is pocket friendly for quick bite exactly opposite to Borivali Railways Station West side Easy to notice. Bit crowded but worth to wait. They have 2-3 tables to sit and eat. Recently they have started serving chaat and chai too. Outer space they gave to some franchises to run chaat n chai store. There's no table service here. Coming to the Food. They have varieties of Dosa and Idli. Super yum in taste and with great quantity. They serve 2 type of chutney. What I love about this outlet is they use Recyclable Plats and cups, banana leaf. I would definitely suggest you to visit IDC for South Indian Food. You won't regret paying a visit here. Only draw back of this place is it doesn't have own parking space as its located on a busy street. You have to finda parking space own your own. Must try outlet when in Borivali.
A restaurant to get authentic Karnataka style masala dosas in Mumbai. A must visit place for South-Indians living away from home.
Must-try items:
1. Ghee Masala Dosa
2. Filter Coffee
It's just opposite to Borivali railway station
Service is really good. It's a self service place also the coupon system. They does not take time to serve the food. If talk about authentic South Indian dosas and uthapam and idly this is the place for you. You must visit ♥️♥️ after long I had a good South Indian food the prices are worth 100-120 maximum also halwa was amazing 👌

I was in Borivali do some work and got late. So thought of having dinner nearby.
South Indian is the cuisine that came to my mind , as it had been a long time I didn't had. Asked few of my friend to suggest a good place for it and one of my friend suggested Granville IDC kitchen and he stated that "you will love it."
Then there was nothing to think, we drove to this place , it's near Borivali station , exactly at the same location where previously they had Bhandarker Medical shop. Easy to locate.
I think the owner was present there or he was the manager ( not sure ) , he suggested two dishes to start with Idli Masala and Masala Rava dosa.
We ordered and the first look of idli masala looked good and the moment I took the first bite , wow it was yum , I enjoyed the ghee , the masala to the core.
Masala rava dosa - this was not the typical rava dosa , this was a new dish all together. It was big , looked yum , filling and with all those masala it tasted like heaven . This is till date the best masala rava dosa of my life.
Just two dish and we were full. The quality and quantity is best and the taste is superb.
I was so happy that I wish to visit this place again and soon. A must visit for all south Indian food lovers .
Authentic south indian dishes which are pocket friendly and tasty. This place is located near dahisar station.Steaming hot Idli dressed up In desi ghee is a perfect way to start your day.
