I just love uttapam from IDC the special masala they use is mouth watering.
This is the most fluffy, cloudy & elegant idli, i've ever had, it melts in the mouth and the texture is so soft, the loads of ghee perfectly blends with the stupendous Malgapudi masala over the idli really kicks in and changes the whole texture and flavour and takes the dish to another level. This dish is truly a relish and building a legacy on its own 💯👏❤️
Also the chutneys were outstanding and of great quality .
The Malgapudi masala was so good, that i bought a loose packet of it which they sell❤️
This place is quite famous for desert dishes like pineapple sheera. You will find this place always fully packed. Service and quality are upto the mark. It serves typical south indian food.
The dish served in IDC was very fresh and delicious, the idli was soft and it was topped with ghee and served with two different types of chutney which was tempting. They serve the whole dish in a banana leaf and a plate which was very environmental friendly which is a plus point.

• We tried Filter kapi, Ragi masala dosa, Ragi Dosa,Rava Masala dosa, Masala dosa, Vada, Kerala paratha with curry.
• All the dosa's are served with sambar, coconut chutney, and tomato chutney.
• Filter kapi is so refreshing.
• Kerala paratha and curry was very tasty but they gave only one small size paratho, I think they should have given 2 paratho for that price. Lil disappointed.

Its a best place to sip a coffee when u are in a hurry to catch a train..its very close to borivali station serving good filter coffee.
The place is hygenic and service is fast. Though the seating arrangmwnt is limited,the place has huge variety of food to offer.
As authentic as it can get. Simple and classy at the same time this cafe is the dream of every south Indian food loving person. It's got everything your taste buds crave for and would not disappoint.
This place near borivali station west is very well suited with all the facilities that you need. Good space,comfortable chairs, good staff and amazing food.
Filter Coffee is one of the many strong points of the menu. Along with the Kerala paratha(In the picture) both the dishes don't fail to satisfy your taste buds and would highly suggest it.
They only serve vegetarian food and are at their best at what they do.
The cafe encourages self service which shows the Indian cultural aspect of the place with takeaway option available too.

IDC was originally opposite the Borivali West Railway station, but last year they have shifted to Granville Greens.
Taste and quality of food is really good. Must try the Thatte Idli, Medu Vada & Filter coffee.

This place, right opposite to Borivali station and near to Borivali Court is the finest place I've everrrr been to for south indian food!
They serve all the dishes in pure ghee and pure butter! You can literally feel the aroma coming through your plate..
The place is quite small and has hardly 3-4 tables, also you can stand inside and enjoy the food.
I have been here so many times and this place has never failed to surprise me☺️

2. Masala Uttapam
3. Rava Masala Dosa

5. Pineapple sheera
6. Crispy paper dosa
Also, the filter coffee is a must try here..
The best part is you don't have to wait for long. The service is really fast inspite of being crowded and no matter what you order, the food served will always be freshly made and super hot.

Good restaurant for having South Indian food. Can't compare the authenticity with Ramashray or manis, but food is good. It's located exactly opposite to Borivali station on the West. So easily accessible. Non Ac section is like a stand by fast food place, there is little place to sit. However AC section has good sitting place. Well, food is good. Dosas are nicely made but I think oil or butter could have been used little lesser. I had Sada Dosa, onion rava dosa, Neer dosa, idli wada and coffee. Neer dosa was nice but idli was awesome. Best point goes, however to the coffee, which was really really good. It's overall an average South Indian food place. Once try of course. For idli and coffee at least.

When it comes to South Indian fast food, there is no better place to enjoy them more than this one. Located at a stone throw distance from Borivali railway station, it is divided into 3 sections. Outside seating area being one, second is a standing area with tall tables. Third is an underground seating area which is air conditioned and seating here is comfortable. The service is decent and food takes a bit of time to get prepared if the place is crowded.
The most essential part of any restaurant is their food and they simply excel at what they serve. Food is prepared with quality ingredients and are full of flavour. We had the following to eat :
Open Masala Dosa Ghee - Delicious South Indian snack doesn't get any better than a twist on the traditional Masala Dosa, where the Potato Masala was laden with some scraped Carrot, the Dosa was prepared in Ghee and scrumptious Pudi Chutney spread on top of it..🥰
Masala Uttapam - Nicely cooked uttapam which had potato masala on top and covered by pudi chutney. Highly recommend this for Uttapam lovers..😍
Onion Rava Dosa - Crispy Rava dosa that had the crunch on every bite that we took. Have to say their chutneys are not watery at all and add that extra element to any dish..🤤
Awesome authentic taste, quick service, reasonable price, convenient location - and you can choose from a quick standing self service or a sit down AC service in the basement. Don’t expect sophisticated ambience. But if you are looking for great taste, this should be your go to place for an authentic dose of South Indian food.
The food was delicious. I had ordered Mysore Masala Dosa and it was amazing. The crisp and the layer was great. Even the Coconut Chutney & Sambar were perfect and fresh. It's just outside Borivali Station. Will recommend to give it a shot for a quick snack.

Of the wonderful place to eat authentic South Indian food.
*Food - tried their set dosa and pineapple sheera loved it both, earlier I had tried their idli vada and masala uttapam as well.
The set dosa were super soft and served with yummy curry wasn't too spicy.
Pineapple sheera was loaded with ghee and had pineapple chunks.
The masala uttapam was quite heavy it had potato sabji and coconut pieces it's served with different chutney's the chopped green chillies add a little spicy taste.
The size of idli and vada is big and it's frehly made.
The kichten has transperent shield so we can watch the m cook.
Food is severed on a plate and banana leaf which adds a traditional touch.
They also have tea coffee, ghee dosa, Malabar paratha.
*Hygiene and safety- the sanitizer is placed at the entrance and the place is kept clean. There is a wash basin and hadwash outside.
They have coupon system for placing order.
The indoor area is neat and clean, outdoor seating area is also cleaned multiple times a day.
*Price - the prices is reasonable for the quality offered.
*Service and attributes-
The service is quick, the staff is polite.
They have set up chaat, Frankie, sandwich and juice counter outside.
There is a seating area outside but there is no seating area inside, there are tables and Slabs made to keep the plates and dine.
They offer takeaway and delivery extra charges are applicable for takeway.
The also sell idli dosa batter and chutney packs.
Crowded at times as people visit for snack and tea coffee.
It is a self service restaurant.

Came here on early weekday morning for Thatte Idli/Masala Idli. Loved the taste. We got two more takeaway Masala Idli. Had Neer Dosa as well (some people will like it, some don't). I personally enjoyed it along with Pineapple sheera. Filter Coffee is great as well

They serve a variety of dosas,Idli, uttapam, coffee and many more.!
Place is quite small With decent and simple ambiance.
They have a limited seating arrangement.!
Food was served in sal leaf plate. It is a very good step towards environment safety measures. I really liked this idea of using eco-friendly plates and I really appreciate IDC for that.!
We had:
🔹Masala Idli:
masala idli was too delicious and it was served with tomato Chutney, coconut Chutney and Sambar.
Idli was so soft and fluffy it just melted in my mouth and Ghee and malgapudi masala Perfectly blended over the Idli.
Taste was pure and unflawed.
🔹Neer dosa:
I tried Neer Dosa for the very first time I must say it was too delicious.
It was different from normal Dosa and it was served with tomato coconut Chutney and Sambar Chutney and Sambar was too yummy.!
Overall great experience and I must say that this is restaurant that serves amazing South Indian food at really affordable price..! Those who love South Indian food, this is the perfect place for you guys.!
Food - Offers all the basic South Indian dishes with lots of variations. Also offers mini meals in form of paratha with curry dishes.
We tried traditional medu wada. Well made, large portions served with tomato chutney and sambar. Wheat paratha and Kerala paratha along with curry was a good and filling dish. Ghee Pongal was good.
Service - Self service. The serving staff was polite and prompt.
Ambiance - The seating area is in open whereas one can stand and eat inside the restaurant. The place is kept nice and clean.
Located opposite to Borivali west railway station, A nice place to have a good munch.
