Great place for some fantastic Goan food and the bakery products are just too good. Try their pork vindaloo, sorpotel, goan sausages and beef chilli as these dishes are really very tasty and worth the price too. Small place with slow service but the food is what you come here for so just enjoy that!!!

When we talk about Goan food in Mumbai, the first name that invariably comes up is Martins corner in colaba. So when C Dsouza came up as an option for Goan meal we were all surprised. Anyways the adventurous people that we are we decided to visit this place.

Location wise this place is right opposite Our Lady of Dolors church near Marine lines station. As you enter the lane you get a typical Susegaad feel. So the mood was already set for a Goan meal.

They have a very small but focussed menu that makes ordering easier. We settle down in this spacious restaurant and proceed with our ordering. Our order included Beef chilly fry, Beef steak fry, Kheema, Goan Sausage fry. Trust me whatever we had ordered that day was good enough for me to say this place is one of the best for Goan cuisine.

The place does not have a lot of tables but a big hall and spacious seating. The service is decent. In terms of prices, C Dsouza is slightly more expensive then other Goan restaurants in the area. A meal for 2 will put you back by Rs500/-.

Just a word of caution. The food depends on the cooks mood. A few friends who visited this place a few days earlier were not too impressed by the food. Having said that I would still recommend this place to be on your must visit list.

Amazing place… although we were late they welcomed us and didn’t let us leave without some food. We had the Chicken Xacuti, Mutton curry, Rice and Pav and for desserts Blueberry & Strawberry tarts. The food is well cooked and the hospitality is 10/0. They close at 7.30 pm so if you want to have a taste of Goa in the heart of Mumbai you definitely need to come here

I absolutely LOVED the bbq spare ribs and the chorizo, my family loved the stuffed squid and shark ambotik curry too. So very yummy food! The host was very hospitable and had a great conversation with us! (However, hearing him speak a bit rudely while attempting to train his workers was not pleasant for me, personally) They make it on the spot from scratch, so make sure to bring your patience with you, it's totally worth it! They ONLY accept cash, however so an ATM visit before dining in is recommended!

Serves Goan Cuisine. Loved the deserts served here. Quite frankly have not tried any of the starters and main course as had visited the place post lunch hours & am in love with the deserts.. Will try their starters and main course to post my review. Till then drooling on the deserts. Can try : Cashew Macroon, Coconut Macroon, Strawberry/ Blueberry puff. Kindly call before visiting. Had to wait for my batch of deserts as they were freshly baked and tea was served to further sweeten the waiting time. No regrets as the time was well spent. Not sure of Parking as it is in a lane beside our lady of dolours church wherein parking is limited. Owners (Jude D'Souza) is friendly, helpful & heard him guide customers in choice of items on the menu.

This is one of the heritage places of goa. It was started in1935 and the family business is still run by the great grandson. They served a mind blowing pork vindaloo. Food an snacks sells out fast. Am definitely visiting again. The owners are very unassuming an down to earth. They will warmly greet you and are genuinely interested to know if you like the food. If you are tired of the multinational chain of restaurants and corporate politeness. Give this place a try it's real cozy. Am visiting again 😁

Ever since they have re-opened, it is a spectacular experience!!! The food is incredibly tasty, large portions, and fresh! The decor is very stylish and Jude is a warm and kind soul. This should be a Goan staple rather then trendy places that claim to be Goan.

Had a very good and satisfying experience at C. D`Souza Marosa. Ordered:- Prawns curry rice: Succulent and generous pieces of prawns in a very homely and perfectly spiced curry. Pork Vindaloo: Tender pork with very good gravy, again well spiced. Mutton Cutlets with Xacuti Ross: Cutlets were great, maa ka khana type taste, ross was on the house (not a normal accompaniment). Dessert: The owner insisted we taste the coconut custard made by his wife, we did…it was the perfect icing on the cake Chicken & Ham patties: Crusty and crunchy Freshly patties loaded with Chicken and ham, two of these can fill a decent eater`s stomach. Loved the crust. We ordered more dishes to take as parcel but haven`t tasted them yet. Overall a very satisfying and homely experience with very friendly hosts Jude D`Souza and Carey who was helpful too. Jude`s hardworking wife personally oversees the kitchen.

Most wonderful Goan food i have had since ages. So delicious that you want to lick the plates with your fingers. Their superb assortment of Mawa Cakes, Tarts and Coconut Custard compel you to try each one for dessert. Believe me when i say that I did. Their savouries - Puffs of different fillings fly off the shelves as soon as they come out of the oven. Hats off to their seasoned Chef (20 years experience at the Taj). He shall be more than glad to come to your table if you wish to have your own food preferences or if you want something made differently or if you desire something totally off the menu. Another added advantage is that if you are craving for a smoke before your meal arrives and if you are out of cigarettes, then, you can bumm one from him. The one Server (when I was there) - Abdul deserves a mention for his prompt and friendly service and also for his manners. I cannot end without mentioning the affable owner - Jude D'souza who welcomes and greets every customer and if he isn't too busy, shall pull up a chair next to you and regale you with stories and conversation. Jude is one of four siblings out of which, my dear friend Tommy, unfortunately passed away @ two years ago. Assisting Jude is his petite and pretty Filipino wife who is constantly running around all the time. Her beautiful and warm smile lights up the entire restaurant. This is the place to go to, with hard-core non vegetarian friends and family (Vegetaarians please excuse) for delicious and authentic Goan food with the comfort feeling of dining in a Goan home. I suggest that you fast for atleast 2 - 3 days before you decide to dine there and ofcourse, cancel all appointments for that day and enjoy food the Goan way. And Jude, it would be great if you could host a guitarist playing live and a Karoake Night on Fridays and Weekends.
