My Manjeet Chole Puri wala was pending since many years.
In 2019 I had gone to this place around 11:30am it was Saturday or Sunday everything was finished.
Cut to 2023 May 20th finally I tasted.
I had Amritsar Kulche chole
Which cost me 80rs
Aloo Kulcha was Chole was tasty 😋 and heavy good stuffing material. It's enough for one person.
The place is old and is bit of compact very limited table are there .
Owner was Lil bit of witty or kind of arrogant.
He knows ppl will come to his place.
The place is famous.
The place is not "HYPE Not Over The Top" it's just in between the Line .
Place is recommended.
Aloo kulcha, chole bhature, chana soup and gulab jamun At legendary Manjeet puri chole.
This place serves delicious and authentic Punjabi dishes that too at cheaper rates.
I highly recommend this eatery.
Don't expect fancy ambience, only focus on food and you won't be disappointed.
Try to visit this place before 11am - 12pm because they shutdown once they are sold out and they sell out quickly.
Menu includes chhole Puri/Bhature/Kulche/Parathe
Chhole was a little bland but includes achar and green chillies so one can manage the spice if they want
Lassi and Gulab Jamun were also there.
A delighteful experience of chole Puri!
An amazing taste on buds after a long time
They have a compact arrangements of seating.
A wide range of parathas are available
But famous for chole Puri
In a sweet dish u will get gulabjaam.
Just a reminder
They are open till 1 o'clock maximum.
Not after that.
And every staff member has his own attitude (some funny, some bad)
You will enjoy it
The best chole Puri in Mumbai!
Food is good. But it is best for onsight eating. The packed food is not as good as fresh. Paneer kulcha is yumm... Their chana shorba (soup) is must try. Aaloo kulcha, chole bhatoore, Puri, everything is good. 2 tandoors are installed there but they are not enough for timely delivering of food on table/ or parcel. The owner can be more polite, I found him a little rude... But rest is good.

PRO Tip BRO :
- No separate parking space as such but can be made on the road.
- Only 5 tables here and usually occupied on Sundays. You might have to share it with a stranger.
- Its not your place if you worry too much about hygiene factor in your food and the space it is made in.
Some traditions live on...
Remember my visits here in early 1970s, Manjeets was always bustling with energy of hungry patrons to grab a table and queues outside for takeaways.
Near the entrance one could see an elderly gentleman peacefully but swiftly rolled out huge puris and toss em in a huge kadai full of hot oil..
One after the other, in went hand flattened dough that would sizzle up ten times its size!just one swift turn and gigantic golden brown puris were deftly swung out into the sieve to drain out excess oil and join a plate of piping hot chhole... to be devoured in minutes!
This was the scene daily 9am onwards, went on for a couple of hours till everything was wiped clean and they simply down their shutters!
-thankfully only some of these things have changed.. except the food, which still draws crowds as can be seen specialy on Sundays as nearly all of Koliwada line up for their weekend treat of Puri Chhole, Kulchas and Parathas.. for me these are next only to the ones we had in Amritsar!
Note: only for those who enjoy robust authentic Punjabi fare... others may kindly skip 🙏🏼🌹
So finally I got the chance to eat from here. This place doesn't have a menu card or something that I can post. Hence I'm gonna write down a few of their specialities. They have kulchas, they are famous for their Chole bhature, gulab jamun, lassi and parathas too. We ordered Aloo kulcha and Chole bhature and the owner was kind enough to come in person and ask us if we would like some lassi with it. So we got lassi too. The taste is amazing, the food is very filling. Loved the chole they are a bit on the sweeter side but you get onions and pickle with it which just compliments the the whole sweetness. The place might not be the most hygienic place but hey dont judge a book by its cover! The staff is very friendly. It was my first time having kulchas as living in Mumbai you dont really get such good authentic punjabi food that too at such a great price. The cost for the aloo kulcha, chole bhature and lassi was ₹150. But I do think the owner gave the lassi complimentary. Its a must visit place!!!
Mouth watering chole puri and kulche.. dont miss this place just by the way it looks.. check the line infront of it.. hygiene zero taste 100
Visited here for breakfast on Sunday morning, the place was crowded and that was expected. The kulchas are so yummy and the delicious chole enhance the taste to next level. We had a paneer Kulcha a mix veg cheese Kulcha and a lassi. I liked the mix veg more as it was stuffed with potatoes and other masalas. The kulchas tasted almost similar to what I had in Amritsar. The lassi was ok. But the seating place is a bit cramped. If you're coming in a car it's better to eat in your car.
All in all of you ignore the ambience the chole kulche are delicious. A must try if you're around this area. They also serve daal pakwan, chana soup and gulab jamun. I'll surely try them next time.
