The Canary

This place is very beautiful 🤩 The vibe is so romantic and relaxing. Their ambience is pretty and calming, they have very unique cute lamps for every table. They have dim light theme set up perfect for a date night or relaxing with a bunch of friends. We ordered Hummus Pita and it was soooo goooood.. taste was so authentic..just loved it. Then we ordered Alfredo Penne Pasta with extra cheese, and they didn’t disappoint us! It was delicious 🤤 Then in the end we ordered fries with piri sauce, they were perfectly cooked. They took time to prepare dishes but it was worth it. We tried Mead, and enjoyed Geisha. Ordered one cocktail called strand, it was also good. Everything was good. Service can be little faster but the experience was good.

The Canary is located in the famous T-Series lane at Andheri West opposite Citimall. The lane is buzzing with all these amazing restaurant options. While visiting one of the other restaurants in the lane, I passed by The Canary and since then always wanted to visit. Just love the ambience here, gives a nice British Pub feel. It has an indoor as well outdoor seating area. Indoor seating has 2 levels. Can easily accommodate large groups as well. The menu is quite diverse - British Pub Food, Desserts, Meads and other drinks on taproom. The place was well lit when we entered in the evening and as the night progressed the lights were dimmed. A small desk lamp on every table looked so beautiful. Talking about what all we tried there - We started with Potato in Chilli Aioli 5/5 and Hummus with Falafel and Pita 5/5. Both the dishes were simply top notch, loved it. Hummus portion was very generous. Potato dish along with bell pepper tossed in hot sauce. Can be a little spicy, but totally worth it. We also ordered for couple of mocktails - Berry Mint 5/5 and Curry Lime 4/5. My preference would be Berry Mint - a raspberry and strawberry puree with fresh orange and dash of mint and soda. Refreshing for sure! Go for Curry Lime if you are OK with a bit of bitterness due to fresh curry leaves. Moving to mains - we ordered the Torn Mozzarella Pizza. They have stone fired thin crust base 10 inch pizza. 5/5. Lastly for dessert we called for Sizzling Brownie with Sesame Ice-cream. Usually it's the vanilla one but this one was a good twist. 5/5. Overall I loved the food and experience at The Canary, it's a must visit! Wishing all the luck to the Canary.

A Sunday well spent, brings a week of content. My Sundays are usually - just to chill Am 100% motivated to visit some good place to have a relaxed peaceful lunch. The Canary, a niche British pub food restaurant with various flavours of crafted mead, in Andheri West, Mumbai is the Talk of the Town since it has opened in Jan, '22. It's officially Mumbai first mead taproom - it's a part of Origin Restaurants, a hospitality startup. What is Mead? Mead is the oldest known alcoholic beverage in world history. Mead is basically fermented honey water. As per historian, writer and journalist Maguelonne Taussaint-Samat - Mead could be regarded as "the ancestor of all fermented drinks, antedating even the cultivation of the soil." Chilled craft mead, house beers, and British food have come alive in Bombay at The Canary. The Ten taps feature six Origin craft meads, with crowd favourites like Geisha and Nektar. The Canary’s outdoor part is the mead garden, a pet-friendly space. The ground floor indoor part is decked up with smart interiors. Along with a beautiful bar area with mead taproom. Started our relaxed Sunday lunch with chilled meads - Nektar, Geisha, Hoppysaurus, The Potion Ivy. Along with refreshing signature mocktails. Menu will offer you most popular British pub dishes and desserts. Being a Non-veg foodie and seafood lover, it's one of my favourite place from now onwards. Prawn Ajilio is lovely preparation, prawns are tossed with garlic, parsley and lemon. Calamari rings with Tzatziki dip is another popular small plate dish of this place. Pulled chicken taco is another delicious small plate dish in the menu. Pulled chicken is served on flat soft taco with sour in-house made guac, pico de gallo. In main course we have ordered two Classic dishes. Mead battered fish which was served with chips and tartar dip. And Roast chicken, which was nicely marinated and roasted two big pieces of chicken, served with roasted jacket potatoes. Both the dishes are nicely prepared and presented. The signature desserts - Spotted D*ck and Chocolate Jalapeno mousse are absolutely amazing. Must try. Enjoyed the music, ambience, service and the vibes of the place.

Mead is the oldest known alcoholic beverage in world history. THE CANARY is Mumbai's first truly British restaurant, serving classic British pub food and desserts. Location of The Canary, opposite to City Centre Mall, Veera Desai Industrial Estate, Andheri West, Mumbai. It's one of the best place for British seafood and non-veg dishes. Chilled craft mead, house beers, and British food have come alive in Bombay at The Canary. The place has a nice bar area. Modern ceiling lighting. Ten taps feature six Origin craft meads, with crowd favourites like Geisha and Nektar, and new launches like East Bombay Cartel (a salted guava mead). Two taps are slotted to Monkfish Ale, Origin’s small-batch beer company. Mead or fermented honey water is an alcoholic beverage. Referred to as "Nectar of the Gods" by ancient Greeks, mead is believed to be dew sent from the Heaven, collected by bees. The playlist features bands from London’s underground scene, such as The Kooks, The Vaccines, Sundara Karma, and globally-popular artists like The Arctic Monkeys. The Canary’s outdoor area is the mead garden, a pet-friendly space in a minimal setting. The ground floor is modern and trendy, starting off bright in the day and turning into a drinks + date place at night. The curated menu is very interesting. The classis British pub dishes and mouth watering desserts. After having signature mocktails and refreshing chilled meads of different kinds - Nektar, Geisha, Hoppysaurus, The Potion Ivy. Our lunch menu - Crispy Calamari rings with Tzatziki dip. It's one of my all time favourite dish. The taste, crunch and presentation are awesome. Prawn Ajilio - it's a coastal British preparation with parsley, garlic and lemon. Nice presentation on a piece of butter garlic bread. Pulled chicken taco with sour cream, in-house made guac, pico de gallo. Nice presentation on soft round flat taco. Loved the taste. Another classic British pub dish - Roast chicken, it's a cajun rubbed, nicely marinated big with skin chicken pieces, served with roasted potatoes. My another all time favourite English dish - Bead battered fish served with chips and tartar dip. Crunchy crust, inside fresh juicy fish, excellent presentation and presentation. Two signature desserts - Chocolate Jalapeno mousse - it's very interesting. Dark chocolate, hint of jalapeno, orange zest and rock salt have created an unique combination. Spotted D*ck - A popular traditional British dessert. The creamy custard on the fruit cake with fresh orange slices are a great combination. Great service and excellent experience. I highly recommend this place.

A happy vibing place with good music and delicious food is all that you need. This place serves British cuisine and beverages. It's cozy, yet lively place. The service is great, everyone in the staff is polite and really helpful. We ordered- Mead Tasting - tried the different flavour. I liked The Bombay Cartel - salt based drink. Appetizers 1. Hummus with Falafel - everything was very delicious and cooked properly 2. Pulled Chicken Taco - it's soft taco with shredded chicken tossed in barbeque sauce. It tasted heavenly Main course 1. Fried Chicken Burger - this was loaded with indulgence. 2. Veg Pot Pie - mashed veggies topped with potato & cheese layer. Felt was average. Dessert Sizzling brownie with seasame icecream- the taste was good but the brown was not soft enough.
