Not a place to skip if you're an aesthetic fanatic. The place is very well maintained. Extremely polite staff and the food is really delicious. The lemon drizzle cake was too good.

A calming breeze, old world charm and good cakes. This is one of the best cafes where you may get lost in good old days talking to your friends and treat yourself. Worth visiting here. Do try out. You won't be disappointed.

Part of The Green Hotel, this coffee shop overlooks the garden of the heritage property. The food is quite nice and the ambience is good. Things seem rusty after they opened after being shut for about a year due to COVID and other issues, definitely needs a refurbishment. Overall, very happy for how it is now.

Beautiful quaint little cafe on the outskirts of town; we went at around 12:30-1pm and had- 1) Chicken cheese sandwich - amazing! 2) Mysore filter coffee - pretty good. 3) Cold coffee - not bad, but not great. 4) Dates & cashew pie - amazing! Actual shortbread used for the pie crust, and the date flavour is perfectly complemented by the cashew. The cafe itself, as well as the property it is in are very well maintained and photo-worthy. The ladies manning the cafe are really sweet and very professional. It wasn’t super crowded when we went, but not sure if that’s always the case. Overall really happy with the experience :)

A beautiful cafe with a lovely old world charm, but with a limited menu. It's self service. The sandwich, apple pie and filter coffee were good. Wasn't crowded at all, even on a Saturday morning. Had a scary and in hindsight hilarious experience with a snake falling from the roof, but the hotel staff were very prompt in taking action and shooing it away.

I recently visited the Malgudi Coffee Shop in Mysore, and I must say that it was an incredible experience. The coffee shop is named after the fictional town of Malgudi, created by the legendary Indian author, R.K. Narayan. The cafe has captured the essence of this fictional town in its decor, ambiance, and menu, creating a unique and delightful experience for visitors. The cafe has a charming and cozy atmosphere that is perfect for relaxing and enjoying a cup of coffee. The walls are adorned with colorful murals depicting scenes from the Malgudi stories, while the furniture and lighting give the cafe a warm and welcoming vibe. The cafe is spacious, and there is plenty of seating available, making it ideal for individuals, couples, or groups. The menu at the Malgudi Coffee Shop is extensive and features a variety of coffee-based drinks, snacks, and desserts. The coffee is exceptional, and you can tell that the baristas take pride in their craft. I tried the classic filter coffee, and it was undoubtedly one of the best I have ever had. The snacks and desserts were also outstanding, with a good mix of traditional Indian and Western options. What sets this cafe apart is the attention to detail in everything they do. From the decor to the food and the service, everything is top-notch. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. They take the time to explain the menu, suggest items based on your preferences, and engage in friendly conversations. The Malgudi Coffee Shop is also reasonably priced, and you get excellent value for your money. The cafe is open from morning till late evening, making it an ideal spot for breakfast, lunch, or an evening coffee. In conclusion, I highly recommend the Malgudi Coffee Shop to anyone visiting Mysore. The cafe offers an unparalleled coffee experience in a warm and welcoming ambiance. The attention to detail in everything they do, from the decor to the food and service, is outstanding. I would give this cafe a well-deserved 5-star rating, and I look forward to visiting again soon.

I’m a regular to Malgudi Café. It’s an all-women owned place and their bakers were trained by European bakers. The café is adjacent to Green hotel and is in the little palace like building. It has a very traditional Indian aesthetic to it and the café is in an indoor courtyard with lots of plants in the centre. Their pies and cakes are to die for! Must try: - apple pie - date and cashew nut pie - date and walnut pie - lemon drizzle cake Their coffees are decent.

This place has the old world charm and it's beautiful and so calming. The food is also so good, a short menu but good one. We loved the desserts and sandwiches. The service can be a bit more friendly....
