I ordered bisibela bath and rice bath through Zomato...
The quality of food was good.. the food was still hot when I received it..
But the quantity of bisibela bath should be improved.. Very less portion was the money paid
And also the taste of both could be improved.. I liked it.. but still.. bisibela bath tasted a bit like vangi bath .. they added vangi bath masala I guess.. and I found rice bath a bit bland.. other than that the food was good..!
This is the place to have mouth-watering authentic Karnataka food at affordable prices. They keep changing the menu and include a whole variety of dishes. Also, the items are listed on the menu as long as the quantity lasts. This ensures fresh food is served and thus preserving the quality. I have been here many times and had a chance to taste a lot of dishes. My favourite is Hayagreeva (sweet) and puliyogare (tamarind rice). Set masala dosa is a must-try. Two set dosas stuffed with masala - something I haven't found in other local restaurants. A simple setting with orange walls and tables, be it a morning breakfast, an evening snack or a hangout with friends - this place is bound to meet the expectations and is nostalgic.Rating - 5/5Meal for two would cost between 100-150/-

A small darshini style pure veg restaurant serving traditional South Indian snacks and food, the menu is a small list of South Indian items which are priced very reasonably. hygiene standards are really good, food is served fresh with stomach filling quantity for a very reasonable price.

Cool place to have food 🍴🍕🍔 and don't forget to try sweet pongal here. They use pure ghee for all there dishes and it's mouthwatering 😋. They use protein rich red raw rice for there food which is good for health
A typical Iyengar style pure veg dinner.... Amazing flavors. Bisi bele bath loaded with veggies and topped with the crisp kara boondi, pongal mild and subtle... With the tamarind chutney, the masala idli was an experience wrapped in banana leaf, puliyogare had a punch..., loved the nuchina unde... A masala vada steamed... Yes steamed to perfection. Found it better than the fried one and ended with the classic hayagreeva ( a classic dessert which is offered as Prasadam) made of chana dal, jaggery and coconut with ghee...
This was truly food for the soul, such simple yet distinct flavors, each dish completely different from the other and not heavy on the stomach also.... Loved it!!! Haven't had a better iyengar style, authentic meal till now.... And the most distinct feature is the generous use of Hing... The aroma, it gives to the food is incomparable.

I don't know whether it geographically belong to VVMoholla or Gokulam. It's a darshini kind of eatery diagonally opposite to Nalpak. They serve some traditional iyengar cuisine, by this time you might have guessed what they are best at! Puliyogare and Pongal (both sweet and khara pongal) are the best here. The crunchiness of peanut in every bite adds to the taste of Puliyogare, so far the best puliyogare I have eaten in Mysore. The tangy chutney served with pongal I loved the most. I have heard their paddu, nucchinaunde are good too but haven't got the chance to eat.
One more dish which hardly available in most of the restaurant but available here is Hayagreeva, boiled lentils, jaggery, coconut gives the perfect sweetness to your tastebuds, ghee elevates the taste to another level. Gasagase Payasa (Poppy seed kheer) and Vangi Kharabath which are made on certain days is good too. Did I complain about anything? Is it all good? Honestly I didn't find any problem with any dish for that matter. What could be better was their ambiance, though hygienic lack of proper seating could be a let down especially considering the age old crowd out could attract as it's a traditional cuisine. Also they need to top up when the dish is over, you can't really predict when the dish gets over, the item which I got in 9:30 in the night may not be available at 8pm the very next day!
Pricing could have less considering they don't have proper area to dine so be careful before taking 70+ aged grand parents there, you can get the items parceled though.

Authentic iyengari food. But only available from evening. Best place to get traditional and hygiene food. Healthy too. Worth to try every dishes there
Ordered Puliyogare, sweet Pongal, khara Pongal, and masala idly! All tasted sooooo great. Especially the puliyogare so authentic and yum. And the sweet Pongal was probably the best I have tasted in Mysore.
Amazing taste..I have given 4 stars becos of its price...they can reduce the price a little...the taste of sweet (sakkarai) pongal & puliyogare is almost matching Melkote. I wish they see this review and come back with catchy rates.
I've been eating here for the last 2 weeks and I can't get enough of their Masala dosa! I've tried other plates (which are also great), but the masala dosa is just delicious. They serve it in the morning and afternoon after 16:30. Prices are really good.
This place is located at a wide road, so no parking issues. You get best Pongal and sweet Pongal and also there's one godhi halwa I guess. You can try filter coffee aswell. Overal it's a good tiffin place. Service is self and it takes a bit time depending on crowd.

Really good food. Quick service(self). There are quite a few tables but mostly you may have to stand and enjoy the great food since people come here, sit long after they are finished eating.
Good food, everything feels real and natural. Nothing overpowering. Their sweet specials are a must try, go check out what they have that day. A few more tables would've been great though.
Trying out food at a new place is tricky....the taste of every person differs. But there r some places which can please everyone. TKS iyengars place is one such. I enjoyed the food here . tasty, clean, hygienic and cost effective. Well as preferred I carried my own boxes for takeaways, so wasn't charged for packing. The quantity and quality both were great.

South Indian rice based delicacies are excellent. Be it puliyogare or bisibele bath or the Pongal the make is authentic and filling. The rates are also reasonable. The bonda soup is really big in volume. Coffee is well prepared here, just the South Indian way. Even the South Indian thali is well served with authentic home taste for sambar and rasam. They also offer several varieties of Dosa too.
Awesome food. Puliogare, Pongal, Shavige bath, Masala Dosa all I tasted and we're awesome. I am Bangalorean. But this the best I have tasted so far.
