Relax khandesh khana khazana! A restaurent with a weird name is the best place if you crave for Maharashtrian food. It has limited but quality menu which satisfies your taste buds. Lets go into the review-
Food: First thing first! Food is really authentic. It is almost like made by 'aai' & not 'mom'. Must try dishes are- Shevbhaji, Vangyacha Bharit, Khichadi Kadhi, Shrikhand. Chapati falls directly from pan into your plate. Thali is the best option if you go solo. They also accept members on monthly basis.
Ambiance: It is sub-par. Simple seating arrangement. You can seat outside if you want the view of Gangapur road.
Service: Fast and prompt. Waiters help you in deciding menu too!
So all in all you must try Khandesh once and I am sure it will become your regular food stop if you love Maharashtrian food.
Small place but very tasty food they serve !
A little unhygienic.. Not slow but poor service ! Obviously one cannot expect trained staff at such place..
But when it comes to bill amount Vs food quality and quantity ratio... This place beats it !

I recommend to try.. Daal Baati, Paneer Bhurji, Kalna Bhakri with Mirchi Thecha and even they have tasty and different sabjis everyday (Khandeshi style food)!
For a mumbaikar, the food served here has its own taste of culture. We had the Pital Bhakri, Kalyanachi Bhakri with Thecha, Patodyachi Amti and Kairi Pane, and it was food that makes you happy. I had a 70mm smile on my face while eating every bite of it. The ambience and service is not 100% great ,but don't let it stop you from witnessing food that brings a smile in your face.
We came with desire to have authentic maharashtrian dishes and it served to our taste. We ordered pithale- bhaktri, nagli papas and thalipeeth. Although it took time to serve, but the best was thalipeeth. The whole dinner was a good experience with the good service - good food - very good for pocket too.
