Noora Nihari Wale

One of the best places for Beef Nihari. A slow cooked beef Nihari is just filled with aroma and garnished with green chillies and Ginger served with Khamiri Roti. Though the sitting arrangement is on floor only...and it is around 80 years old shop and i think painted last about 40 years ago. But they serve a mouth watering Nihari. They also serve Nalli if you are lucky enough to get it.

Nihari means Noora👌 this is best place for Nihari lover who actually looking for authentic flavour of nihari, I have tasted almost all famous Nihari in delhi like jawed nihari, Kallu Nihari,Hazi shabrati, Mansoor Nihari but this is something different. Best time to visit here in morning (6:30 to 7:30) if you missed the time frame you will miss the Nihari, best to take home no so spacious place to eat here.

Whole 3.5 rating is just for the taste but nothing else.
If you are a true foodie and do not differentiate between meats like chicken/mutton/beef/buff then must visit here. It's in Delhi, so you won't get beef. It's buff meat nihari and most delicious nihari I had till now. The surrounding is really very dirty, smelly, dingy. The dhaba is surrounded butcher shops. So, I think you can visualise now. Moreover the behaviour of shop owner is also very rough and both father-son are manner less. The shop is also difficult to find. But once you eat the fresh nihari with hot khameeri roti you will realise that, these problems are ingnorable, let's just concentrate on the food. Trust me it's that tasty.
Little suggestion for ordering.
₹50 nihari + ₹50 Nalli in same plate+ tempering by desi ghee of ₹20 and then as much as hot roti you can have with that.

The best time to visit Noora's Nihari is early morning when there's no traffic. We followed Google maps all the way from the Giant Hanuman Murti in Karol Bagh to Azad Market.

When we reached the location, all shops were closed except for a Halwa Paratha Shop, a Bakery and a Tea Shop! While we waited for Noora to open, we ended up trying the warm sooji ka halwa with a soft, flaky paratha! It's a must must try item. The shop is located bang opposite the Mosque in Azad Market.
When Noora's shop opens, there's a long queue of people waiting to eat there. When you enter the small shop, you have to take off your shoes and sit on the floor. There are no seats or chairs or an outside seating arrangement but its a lot of fun eating on the floor!
Half a plate of Nihari costs 40 bucks along with the khameeri Roti. The Nihari was a delight to eat with that thick gravy, green chilly and thin slices of ginger. Put some lime on top for that added flavour
The Nihari was cooked overnight so the meat was just melt in your mouth types. It tends to get spicy and very heavy after 2 rotis.

I'm no Nihari expert but I loved what I had. Once done with the Nihari, there's a Tea Shop where you get "Doodh Wali Chai" with dollops of cream on top. It was too sweet for my liking. The bakery had freshly baked bread and other bakery items.
The whole experience of going to this unknown place and finding happiness in eating a simple dish cannot be expressed in words.
