I just love there cold coffee and chicken sandwich plus the green chutneys they serve with is just WOW
The sandwich and the omelette don't disappoint one bit. They were amazing and I would definitely recommend trying them if you're in the area. The cold coffee isn't that great as a standalone item, but compliments the sandwiches pretty well. All in all, the place is definitely worth a try.

This is one of my favourite places to hang out in jangpura with affordable rates and small dining. This is a youngsters place with awesome food. Being a vegetarian I recommend there veg sandwich which is simple and tasty and affordable. The most important food of the menu is the green chutney which novelty/ hawkers give with sandwich and cheese omelette, chutney has nice flavour and colour.
Its a nice place to hangout between office hours and breakfast and lunch. Overall i personally like novelty and it food as it is cozy, with different feel. Do visit
Ordered at work... For breakfast.. the sandwiches arrived hot and fresh. Absolutely amazing sandwiches.. I ordered the chicken toasted and the ham sandwiches... I didn't want to order something very heavy.. these were perfect almost like Ghar ka cheesy sandwiches and went very well with my morning cuppa. I didn't even wait to click photos!
Sandwiches are a must try. Tuna and chicken both rocks the world and if you like coffee with less sweet taste yiu are at a perfect place. Loved the sandwiches and green chutney.
I went to the famous Novelty Dairy and Stores in Jangpura, for their even more famous sandwiches.
Tried this Ham& Cheese sandwich among others and though the sandwiches were very fresh, with good quality fillings, the quantity and presentation did not match their prices.
It’s good to grab once a while, but just expect a homemade taste and less portion sizes here.
P.s- The pudina chutney served along is delightful.

The best Chicken Sandwiches in the city! The tast has been consistent over all these years, and they never disappoint you. Can eat them any time, they literally melt in your mouth. Will recommend the chicken sandwiches to everyone.

Been here since collage days. Their chicken ham sandwich with cold coffee is amazing. Personal recommendation...try it with the white bread and not the brown bread. The taste is same as it was 12 years ago.
It's a must visit and will surely you will go back again and again. Chicken lovers you will not be disappointed!

Novelty has been around for about 60 years now. Ticked away in a blink & you miss shop in Birbal Lane in Jungpura in Delhi. They serve absolutely home style sandwiches, omelette and cold coffee as staple. Think of it as a home and not a cafe or restaurant. Limited space for seating in the middle of a grocery store will bring back childhood memories of small eateries of the past. Go for classic Sandwiches. Great portion sizes served fresh with warm hospitality. Tip - do taste the green chutney

I love the sandwiches they make. My friend in Delhi introduced me to this place and I do not miss visiting Novelty whenever I am in Delhi. Such a cute old school set up they have. Cold coffee/ frappe is good too. Hot coffee was okay. Anyways I come for sandwiches and it doesn't disappoint me. You can also buy snacks on the go. If you're in the area do try out their classic sandwiches! :)
My frnd once took me to this place I guess 3-4 years back and since that day it's among my favourite places to have sandwiches and coffee. Small seating area with really good simple coffee and sandwiches and won't harm your pocket too. Sasta, Good Quality, Good Quantity, Simple taste.
Recently, I was there on a weekend morning the place was packed and so I had to wait a bit but the wait was totally worth.
I had the following:
chicken sandwich (₹80)
Novelty's Cold Coffee(₹40)
Chicken Cheese Omelette with 2 slices(₹110)
Whenever I visit I stick to these 3 most of the times and these are definitely a must have.
Portions are pretty decent and totally doing justice to the cost.
Overall, don't expect fancy sandwiches you'll get hills wala experience here just the mountains are missing. Simple food with great taste is all I would say.

This place was a hidden gem. Was surprised to see the location. Initially was not expected it to have such crowd but was surprised with the footfall as well as the taste of the product served here. Love to visit again

The food is simple yet delicious. I visit Novelty everytime I'm in Delhi. The decor is really cute and the server is a really nice guy!
I followed the Google maps to find this small hidden shop inside the residential area of Jungpura, Hawkers House also popularity known as Novelty store. On the outside it looks like a grocery store, but a narrow entrance leads you into a small yet decent cafe that serves one of the best sandwiches and cold coffee in Delhi.
Located deep inside the Jungpura residential colony this shop is right on the edge of Bhogal about 500 meters from Mathura Road. And about one and a half kilometres from the nizammudin railway station.
We went in there and ordered ourselves a vegetarian grilled sandwich and a chicken sandwich along with cold coffees. It took them just 5 minutes to serve us the excellent preparation from their see it all kitchen. I had the chicken sandwich which was awesome and the cold coffee is delightful.
It's a must visit for sandwich and cold coffee and on my next visit I'll try the omelette that they make, coz it was looking divine.

Serves really awesome sandwiches, salads and cold coffee since long. I personally like their veg toasted sandwich with mix of green chutney and ketchup and to drink i would any day prefer their cold coffee
