A one stop destination for all who want their sweettoothsatisfied 😋😋😋.....this place is one of the oldest sweet shops with many branches all over delhi....they are famous for their sindh savouries..... with singar mithai as one of their bestselling item....
I love this little sweet shop (also because it is located really closeby). They serve barfis that taste pretty good. In fact they are better than the ones we get at the popular sweet shops. Their coconut burfi, milk cake and pineapple burfis are my all time favourites. If you happen to be nearby, get some packed for home. Your parents will love it.
Simple sweet shop,but sweets are good.sev ki berfi and coconut berfi are their speciality. Reasonable rate , good quality but limited variety.
For me, Raksha Bandhan has never been complete without the sweetness of this shop. The सेव की बर्फी served here has been one of the best sweet i have ever tasted. Every Rakhi, since my childhood, i get a box of this mithai. The cleanliness they maintain, the taste they maintain is just amazing.
To find this shop in lajpat nagar, you need to be quite sceptic, cause this is such a small shop that you will miss this place in a blink.
Although, these people have never invested in promotion or expanding themselves. But what they have done is, they have maintained the taste and quality of their sweets. Which in my opinion is the most important thing for any food provider.
I just wish they keep this taste alive. Always!
This sweet shop is a hidden gem. My family loves to gorge on the sweet delights offered by this shop. I am not a sweet tooth person, but I love the barfis from this outlet. The sweets are prepared in desi ghee and are properly packed in butter paper. My all time favs- coconut barfi, pista barfi, karachi halwa. This place also makes a unique mithai- SEV KI BARFI. The taste is rich and decadent. Every sweet tooth person should definitely visit this place and I can assure you that you will be 100 % satisfied with the quality and the taste.
Fresh,supple and gooey to the core. The mithai here is so different. You can actually feel the barfis melt in your mouth and can have a full tray irrespective of the flavour. Chocolate, coconut, kesar pista... My favourite being coconut barfi! Sincerely urge all barfi fanatics to make a visit and try out their amazing offerings.
Right on the main road, it is easy to locate and can save you hours, when struggling to find a parking spot at the busybee LN market.
One of my relatives lives in Lajpat Nagar and brought sweets from New Bharat Sweets Corner and thats how I know about this shop. The box had 2 kinds of sweets - coconut burfi and sev ki burfi (which is made up of seviyyan).
To my surprise the coconut burfi was crunchy and smooth at the same time and not steeped in sugar. I usually don't like coconut burfi but this was really delicious. Sev ki burfi was out of this world. Pleasantly surprised by the taste of the sweets I visit this shop often.
All the sweets are cooked in desi ghee and are indeed delicious. The sweets are packed well, each one gently cocooned in a rolled up parchment of butter paper. They make very limited, however mouthwatering sweets - coconut burfi, chocolate burfi, Karachi halwa, sev ki burfi, besan ki burfi and panjiri.
A true contender for the catagory - "Hidden Gem".
