You know a place is good when you feel at home just by entering the place. After a light meal in Nehru Place, we were up and about hunting for dessert in the posh area of Greater Kailash. I had quite a few options selected on Zomato, so our plan was to visit the nearest ones and try a host of desserts. Everything was going smoothly when all of a sudden my friend literally shouted out loud on the road, alerting me of something that had caught her eye. It was of course this establishment of AMATERASU(the only thing buzzing around in my head was the Sun Goddess?) Any other plans that we had were swiftly dropped after discovering this place. Our excitement levels were at an all time high while climbing up the stairs and trying to find the place. As soon as we entered, we were blasted by a serene wave of oriental calmness. We had to remove our shoes just before entering the sitting area and don the slippers provided there. We clicked a few pictures before settling down near the window. After been given hot towels to clean ourselves(such levels of customer service💙), we proceeded to wonder over the menu before settling on ordering Amaterasu Burger, Curry Pan, Sugar Pan and Soy Pudding. While all the dishes were excellent, a special mention has to go out to the Soy Pudding which was heavenly. The pudding was silky and smooth in texture with the maxing flavours of a pudding at the bottom and a mild sourness of top gloss of soya. The portions were filling and cleanly plated. Overall the place was able to create a brilliant replication of a quiet Japanese cafe in the middle of a bustling city. The service was quick and our server was polite, soft-spoken and helpful. Hats off to the management.

My husband and I came across this newly opened Japanese cafe and was quite delighted with the warm peaceful ambience, reminding us fondly of Japan.. Please visit for an authentic experience of Japanese culture and friendliness! The food we ordered had amazingly delicate flavours with hints of Indian spices, loved it! :)) Try the tempura curry!

This is what I call an authentic Japanese café. The food and drinks are great. Don’t miss out the preparation of the matcha latte just in front of your table!
