Best.... Heaven in the universe
Had dinner at this wonderful place. It's reasonably priced and most student friendly place. Taste was awesome specially mutton stew is excellent. staff is also good and responsible.
Been here twice, we had chicken Tikka hariyali, chicken Malai Tikka, chicken mughlai and butter chicken. The Tikkas are a delight, it's the best I have had in Delhi for this price range. The malai tikka is my personal favourite. Now coming to main course, it was okayish. The butter chicken was a little too sweet for my palate.
If you care about ambience forget about this place but if you like me only care about the food then this is definitely a place you should check out.
Budget friendly place - food was good, though not great. Sheermal, khameeri roti, laccha parantha were a bit thick in size for my taste buds and had to struggle a bit to get them in. Sabzis were comparatively better!
Not an ideal place for people who prefer hygienic places.
Chicken jahangiri is a must try. We ordered chicken Tikka, chicken Afghani and tangri. Tangri was the best and other starters were okay for the price. and the naan was totally different from whatever we were used to it is light, fluffy and a bit sweet. Overall a good experience. Sheermal is a sweet bread which goes well with spicy curry. Mughalai chicken was not upto the mark. Overall a good experience.
Best quality non veg food in Delhi. The price and quantity are appropriate. It is a blessing for JNU students and the ambience is great as well.

So here’s a Hidden gem place for all the Butter Chicken lovers- Mughal darbar, JNU
This place serves one of the best butter chicken in delhi! The Aromatic golden chicken pieces Stirred in the incredible creamy and buttery gravy is to die for. 🤤 It had perfect balance of tanginess and texture which comes really good with what we ordered in breads- Khameeri Butter Naans.
And yeah, Not to forget! If its amazing, it wont be easy. Same goes with this appetizing butter chicken.
To gorge on this butter chicken you will need to dig a little in your contact list and find your pal studying here at Jawaharlal Nehru University, as they don’t let outsiders enter for no reason.
Butter Chicken is for around 360 bucks and khameeri butter naan for 40.
Recommendation- 5/5
We also ordered their Kadai Paneer, which is my super favorite, i jugde all the restaurants based on their kadai paneer, and Mughal Darbar passed with a distinction. Quantity might seem a little less to some, don't worry its for just 110 bucks!
Tandoori Chicken seemed delicious too, but i didn't try it, so can't say about how it tasted!
Avoid ordering not so famous dishes like Paneer Bhurji. So Go ahead with your gang and hop at Jnu and enjoy your meal.
You can check the ig posts too!

Lip smacking Butter Chicken is life, isn't it?
Food-5/5
This place is all about tasty authentic mughlai and North Indian food. So reasonably priced, a mela for two here will cost you not more than 400-500.
1)chicken Jahangiri-spicy chicken in brown gravy
2)dal tadka was simple and tasty
3) veg biryani, although dint taste like biryani, it was more like pulav, yet very fresh and nice
4)the tandoori roti - yumm
5)butter naan- not the typic one you get in restaurants, but big fluffy and little sweet flavour. Must try!
A Delhi plus JNU visit is nostalgia.. Reliving student days ordered from Mughal Darbar..opted for my all time favorite..sheer mal and mutton stew.. As always this place didn't dissapoint.. wanted to taste everything again in a single meal.. But stomach has a limit..so was happy with these two only.. Taste and value for money is 4.5 out of 5!
Best non-veg at best rate surrounded by nature. Must try are Tandoory/Afghani Chicken. Mutton gravies are good. There Tandoory roties are heavy so order 1by1.
This is a JNU canteen..they serve the best mughlai food with good price. I will suggest Chicken jahangiri, mutton stew and butter naan
Delicious. Delicious. Everything is delicious. And cheap. While I enjoyed every bit of Paneer Tikka and Veg Pulao, the non vegetarians accompanying me just dug up everything they ordered, and loved it. The staff is nice and despite of not having Nimbu Pani in their menu, gave me 2 lemons and white salt and a glass to do prepare it myself. Only thing that was missing is that in no way it looks Mughal, but Nevermind.
Food is very nice and breads are outstanding.
Self service. It's inside University so no liquor. Generally there's a wait time here. They also do home delivery to near by places.
Being a JNUite, this place will always be special. Although the prices are a bit high now 😃 but taste of the food is ultimate. Chicken jahangiri is a must try. Limited veg options but the taste is really good. In the photo you can see Sheermal and Shahi Paneer.
Best place in JNU to have non veg. Just loved the food and varieties provided by the menu. There is just one glitch in my accordance that the customer has to pay the amount before having the meal, which in some way I found against the restaurant ethics!
This place is situated in JNU campus, near T point. Foods are relatively cheap, but delicious. 40-50 people can seat at a time. Open space makes this place special. No digital transaction is available, they accept cash only. You have to be waited 10-20 minutes to get food. If you are careful about drinking water, buy bottle water instead of supply water.
Most favourite place in Delhi. Serves best mughlo food at a very reasonable price. Great even for vegetarians. Chicken starters and sheermal are the best things here.
Best place for veg and nonveg both in JNU campus
The GO to place for all JNU students and outsiders alike. Butter chicken and khamiri roti is a must try. 👍
Affordable Place inside JNU Campus !!
Service is pretty fast ..
