Had snacks at the restaurant, the food was fresh and tasty, though I would love to try their thalis one day. Had rosgulla and some caramelized sweet (tastes like rasgulla only made from Chenna) in the desert. Basic sitting but the entire complex was newly built. All in all VIP charm.
State Guest House Easily accessible.Didn't stay . Only went to eat at the Niwas Canteen.Excellent food at very reasonable price.We tried the Veg thali . It had One daal ,two vegetables and a lovely seviyan kheer.Mildly spiced food just like homemade food.
When we were leaving,The manager informed us that they were to get fresh crabs from Lake Chilka so went again the next day. This time ordered Crab masala with rice and Prawn masala with rice. Both preparations excellent Again mildly spiced and yummy.
We also tried the desserts.The rosogolla are the best I've had in Delhi I think. They also had this special steamed dessert made of Chaina and caramelized sugar - I think it's Chaina Podda. Wow tasting dessert .Have also bought Khaja and another yummy looking dessert.They have promised to make us mustard fish next time we visit so we're definitely going again.Definitely recommended

Odisha Niwas has 48 double seater rooms for accommodation of Government officers and people from Odisha. Allotment of rooms is done by the Home Department. Facilities available: Information kiosk with touch screen and internet, dining hall and library. No person can occupy a room in it without prior reservation granted by the Home Department. Priority in reservation' shall be in the order of the category assigned in website. But unfortunate part is the service here in Odisha Nivas is very poor. Need to improve very it along with the maintainance of the property.
The food quality is very good. Breakfast is so delicious. Lunch and dinner is very affordable. Try chicken kassa with tawa roti (a must try).
Great place to have Authentic odia food. A friend of mine took me there as she was missing home (bhubaneswar). We really liked the place, food and staff's hospitality.
I went there at lunch time. The food was good. I got deluxe veg thali. It has rice, arhar daal with a lot of garlic, brinjal and aloo chokha, green saak, raita, kheer, mustard stem curry, bitter gourd with potato and papad. The taste was traditional though. You can enjoy the sweet desserts of odisha as well here. It's a place to visit.
Enjoyed my stay at Odisha Niwas.... good people, hospitable staff, authentic odisha cuisine.. overall a comfortable stay...what else one wants!!👍👍👍
Best place for having something that reminds you of our roots, I had chicken curry and rice and 4 roti that just costed me only 210/- only
