Review Vaango - Noida

Abhishek Gupta
Vaango is located on third floor just before the food court entry. This is one of the best South Indian restaurant in noida. They have variety of options for dosas, uttapam, idly, vada. They also serve filter coffee which is very good and authentic. The staff is nice, service is good and quick. Taste of food is delicious and delightful.

Monday evening i went to Vaango @GIP mall noida. Ordered Royal Meal Combo - containing 1 piece Idli, 1 piece Vada, 1 Masala Dosa, 1 Rava Kesari and 1 Pepsi. Masala Dosa was very delicious, with fresh potato masala, and i liked it. Idli and Vada were ok, average in taste while Rava Kesari was very tasty - perfect in sweetness (neither much sweet nor less in sweetness). Regular Pepsi add missing liquid flavour in meal. Royal Meal Combo is enough meal for 1person.

Was a nice and comforting place, loved it. It was just how a mall is supposed to be, the top floor arrangement is just so right that after a long shopping trip you can enjoy some good food at the top :), the service is incredible and satisfying. The thing I loved was the atmosphere! It was sooo comforting and didn't made me all stressed out and tired, a whole turning up thing! Recommended 100 percent... :)

Best FILTER COFFEE had in a while. Also Good Sambhar vada freshly prepared.

When you are looking for good south indian food in sector 18, you have very limited options. Vango is located in the food court of GIP mall. The masala dosa & idli here are good in taste. Prices are higher as per the quality but as per the locality, that's justified.

Vaango is one of the most authentic south indian cuisine offering restaurant. You may easily find most of the south indian dishes and that too in almost authentic taste as you might have experienced in southern part of India. The service and staff is really good. It is located inside The Great India Place Mall. It is a big counter and easily identifiable from distance. You must once here. There might be other options of south indian food but nothing is like the one being served at Vaango.

Very tasty experience in dosas. Very attractive and well furnished restaurant inside the GIP . On the third floor. easily shows its south Indian decoration. Siting arrangements is good. Staff is good. Food is superb. Price is good. One should try Vaango once. ❤

From student's point of view it's costly like filtered coffee for 100 bucks and on similar line other eating items are on the higher end of price list BUT if money is not the concern then Taste wise + The ambience is very good . Moreover you get that taste of South India sitting in North India.

Awesome place for a variety of food, snacks and drinks. Vaango's tea is just awesome.

Vaango, the best place for South Indian food. The ambiance is very lively and bright and the food is just great. The service at the restaurant is superb and you just can't miss it if you are a South Indian food lover and when you are at the mall.

I like south Indian food. specially Dosa! I get yummy masala dosa at Vaango! Dessert is also good at Vaango. I found quality food within my pocket range. :)

I had the masala dosa at vaango!
It was presented well with dosa put on a fresh leaf(not for eating) with three types of chutneys and sambar.
All three chutneys were yum specially the green one.
Filling in dosa was ok.
Sambar was nice, not too thick.
I think prices are a little bit high.
Can try.
Aayushi
One can enjoy lovely Mysore masala dosa .
Good place for South Indian food lovers.
Vanshaj Ahuja
Tried their idli sambhar with a friend. It is served with 3 chutneys - green, red and white (coconut) and of course a bowl of sambhar to go with. The presentation of the food was nice and serving time was optimum. Idlis were soft too. A nice place to have south indian dishes.

The Vaango outlet in GIP is a very friendly place offering good taste. Particularly the sales-person Ms Manisha really surprised us by her extremely considerate counselling and proved to be very decent as a person. I think other patrons will also benefit from her guidance and be warmed by her human decency.

Prof. Yusuf Amin from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh.

I've been here 3-4 times, always before movies.
Thanks to bookmyshow. It provides amazing coupons on this outlet.
We had ordered the masala dosa and filter coffee and go 1 dosa free. The taste was decent.

If you want to experience a pure authentic South Indian visit Vango. In great India place they generally have offers running. I love their food. They have 3 different types of chutneys and all are awesome.

I had idli sambhar with filter coffee. The staff was very polite. The food was good and value for money. I have noticed that this outlet has better food compared to DLF mall. Overall a good experience.

Mall of India food court branch-Taste is average. Doesn't seems that food that is served is cooked by south Indian food specialist chain of restaurant. And this thing I have noticed in other outlets of Vango. Taste of other restaurants like Sagar Ratna , Haldiram, Bikaner is.much better and in less amount. And what dissapoints more is quantity of chutneys they provide with dosa which is I think smallest size available in market after paying around 180 ₹ on masala dosa.

Vaango - An outlet in GIP mall is an average place to have South Indian Food. Their service is quick but when it comes to quality, it's not up to the mark. Their Sambhar quality is degraded now as it is more thinner now a days and also Masala Dosa quality has been degraded.
I have tried their many South India Delicacies but now they have degraded their quality.
Though Quanity is okay.

Quality - 2.5/5
Quantity - 3/5
Service - 4/5

Not Recommended ❌ (Avg. Place Place to have South Indian Food)
My love for South Indian food is just increased just because of vaango ,it taste delicious and here I got very Friendly staff they serves good and service is really impressive and fast
Vaango! Is a perfect place for South Indian cuisine.
If you love South Indian food then you must visit it. I try vada which is fab🤩.
Hygiene -4/5
Quality- 5/5
Ambience - 4/5

Located in the food court, this outlet is a great option for vegetarians. Their food and service is good. That's standard across all their outlets.

Just that one time I got a tongue burn on sipping their sambhar. I have no idea how can a gravy be so hot! Even after blowing on it, the sambhar won't cool down. I'm a fan of their food. But this time, it pissed me off since the burn didn't go away for four days.

I was feeling to have something different and search through the online ordering platforms landed me to Vaango. Ordered Punugulu & Paniyaaram without having any clues on the dishes. I only have heard about Paniyaaram and the other item was quite strange for me. Both dishes turned out to be tasty and tasted and looked they are prepared without any artificiality to add taste or appearance. Felt like food by Mom and freshly made. The chutney provided with also were good.
Guess the other dishes by Vaango also will be same - naturally tasty and authentic.
Finally, I am just wondering why this outlet is so low rated. May be the management is not much concerned about online presence. Though Zomato promises genuine rating, it is obvious that many high rated outlets do not deserve the rating and disappointing.
Would recommend everyone loving South Indian food to try Vaango. All the bests!
Ravi Rana
Tried there paneer dosa and masala onion dosa. It was very tasty. I love the onion masala dosa more than paneer. Served with nariyal chutney, coriander chutney and sambhar. I think its the good place for south indian food lovers😋😋😋😍😘
Tuntun227
We have ordered southern combo, it's comprise of 2 idli, 2 dosa, dahi wada and 2 filter coffee or cold drinks. Dosa/idli quality was okay , but filter coffee and and samber was worse, they are not giving chatni. Coffee taste was very bad .
I have one suggestion to shop owner to give good quality serving plate , bowl base was too less radius.
Nidhi Singh
Best south Indian cuisine, must try its platter...ambience is OK !!
Nice place for family, affordable prices
Its filling and desserts were also nice

Thanks!!

My love for South Indian food made me try out this outlet, on a crowded day at the mall. We ordered some uttapam and their signature special dosa. The uttapams were fresh and soft. The masala on it made it quite tangy, and packed with flavour. The signature dosa had a softer texture than regular dosa, and it was seasoned well. The chutney and sambar they served were very fresh and tasty. Bad chutney or sambar often spoils the experience of South Indian food, and we were happy that this place focussed equally on the quality of these. Their service was also pretty timely. Overall, we enjoyed the food here, and one can defintely give this place a try when in the mood for South Indian cuisine.

It is only the brand name that is being sold. I ordered pav bhaji. It had an average taste. Pav where barely cooked and bhaji had also had an average taste.

Vaango provides awesomeness taste in South Indian flavours. Must visit and enjoyed the taste with delicious taste & fresh. Idli vada & Dosa is so delightful cosy wise effective .
Harshit Dedha
An average looking outlet with average food ..
Was expecting good idlis but got disappointment.
But ihave tried their dosa and it was okayish and nothing extraordinary.
So I'm expecting a good food this time!
The prices are in reach but Quantity wise little high.
Sushant Shekhar
Apart from the DLF Vaango store, the one in GIP is somehow good and served hot also. The taste of sambar is also good.
A little bit expensive but in GIP, I can still paid for the stuff but in DLF, it is like pathetic.

I love Vaango coz i love south indian food especially Masala dosa with butter and the delicious filter coffee. This place is really good for people who love South Indian as it makes feel like you are eating in South India

I visited vaangos few days back with my daughter with great experience...my daughter liked the south Indian statues outside standing of the restaurant... Restaurant is really nice. I visit vangoos twice in a month. I specially order masala dosa or lemon rice. I would suggest people to visit vaangos... Vadakammm

I headed their on last weekend and ordered mini idlis with sambhar and filter coffee and undoubtedly it was taste good but the only prob is they cost high as compare to all other outlets.. Rest is good....

Could have been better, not up to the mark. Half of the thing were not available. Had masala dosa which was crisp bit tasteless. Coffee was nice. Kay Kapur

Sadly zomato dont have zero rating. Stale food, bad service, The tables were all dirty and the help didn't seem to be very awake. I would not recommend this restaurant. 👎🏻

Vaango is simply the best place for south indian food lovers... Coriander idli and all the uttapams are my favourite... A casual place to eat your lunches and above all, it is simply top easy on the pocket... Without shelling much money, you get to eat really good south indian...

Have visited Vaango with my family on this weekend. We have ordered a vegetable utthapam, medu vada and signature masala dosa. Though signature masala dosa was tasty but vada was bit dry and utthapam was ok ok. Ambience was good and it was a peaceful day. They should maintain some more hygenie, otherwise it was a perfect place to have decent south indian dishes.
Meghana Trivedi
The taste was okay. They really good offers though. A suggestion would be to pay more attention to cleanliness because it smelled a little weird. The staff was good and polite.

Mysore masala dosa was pathetic....considering the price. Shree Ratnam or Sagar Ratna is comparatively better. Try n avoid this place. Thoroughly dissappointed

On a Sunday the only outlet in GIP Noida which had place to sit and that's why I had no choice but to eat here. Order was one masala Dosa, one dahi vada and one Pepsi. Was told that there was no Pepsi so we will get it from the other outlet. And in 2 mins my Dora was ready. I was surprised that this was fast. Touched it and it was ice cold. It was like one Dosa prepared for some customer who got unhappy and refused to eat and it was refrigerated only to be served to a customer later. The dahi vada was more of a dessert. Totally unappetizing place with bad food. They sell the most at the airport I guess where people eat and go. Highly disappointing and a no visit again.
Ps. Even in my last visit I ordered a sambar vada and that was brought from another restaurant.

Vaango is a Proper South indian outlet located on the Third floor of The Great Palace, Sec 38 noida . I visited noida for a concert and after that tried this place for my dinner . Its a Pure Veg restaurant with lots of variety in south indian Delicacies . They have a normal seating area . Its a self service place .

I ordered there Signature combo in which Masala dosa taste ok and another we have rava dosa which is also ok . In combo they have a pav bhaji but its not available and they suggest us to try there idli chaat which is curd on idli and it was tasteless .

Overall i don't like the place and its prices are high and quality and taste of food is very low .
Ashish S
Pathetic South Indian food. I think they should send there kitchen team to learn south Indian food to south Indian. If I start with dosa, the dosa don't have a texture like dosa, white in colour as if they never ferment there batter. Sambhar and chutney I rate a big zero because sambhar taste like a boiled dal no flavours like a sambhar and coconut chutney taste like if you are having cashewnut paste. Please improve your quality.

The worst south indian place ever.
The food was not even hot, they served it cold only.
The place is very dull, no ambience.
Prices are not even worthy at all.
Highly dissapointed.
My personal request to all, please don’t go and waste your money here guyzs. 🙏🏻
What i ordered: Masala sambhar dosa and chole bhature
Both of them was served cold only, and the taste was ok ok only.

Prices: 2/5
Taste: 1.5/5
Ambience: 1.5/5
Staff: 2.5/5
Quality of food: 2/5
Overall experience: 1.5/5 👎🏻

Ordinary taste. There are better South Indian restaurants in Delhi. Price wise, Vaango is more expensive. Hot coffee was good but I can't say same about the Idli that I had here.
Raj Bisht
I visit the place often. they serve really good dosas. I like there sambhar, chutney and the crispness of the dosa. it was an alright experience.

This place is at Top Floor of GIP. This is a south indian outlet, but you can get some north india dishes as well. But according to be trying north india dishes in a south indian touch outlet, is not a good idea, although you can try it you you want, but i never tried it at all.
I ordered 4 dishes, all was south india. Idle Sambar, Ghee roast Dosa, Upma, Idle chat.
I liked Ghee roast Dosa and Upma very much, although idle and idle chat was ok in taste.
If we talk about order delivery, it was fast, if you are a big family searching for a seats in GIP on sunday you can try this plave, ambiance is decent and suits for a family group.
Prices are neither too expensive nor cheap, its pocket friendly, You can eat food and quality food at suitable money.

The quality of sambhar was atrocious. Felt like I was having canteen sambhar. It was completely watery, distasteful and had no salt. We ordered mysore masala dosa and rava onion., the quality of dosa was substandard and not up to the mark. Very highly priced when compared to the quality. Would never recommend.
Urvashi Jain
The entrance and surroundings of the restaurant is lit in yellow and green portraying it to be vegetarian restaurant. The staff was very nice and polite but the service was very slow and irregular as the order was served to us in parts. We had different types of platters. The dosa and the idli was nice but could have been tastier. I think they can bring more variety and flavour to the menu by adding different kinds of dishes.
Staff - 3.5
Service - 3
Food- 3.5
Ambience - 3
WTF - Where’s The Food
So eventually i got bumped into Vaango as i was walking by the corridor in Great India Place Mall. My father has always been a south indian food lover so he asked me to try this one up!
I’m glad i did, this is one of the best places you can have south Indian food trust me you guys.

The search for the perfect Mysore Masala Dosa took me to various places, but finally i found one at Vaango!

I ordered Mysore Masala Dosa, and they served it with three finger licking chutneys which will make you want more for sure. The taste was just the way i wanted and can’t wish for more!

The service depends on your token number which is also quite fast!
Although i found the pricing a bit high but the taste compensates its worth.

Vaango is superb South Indian Restaurant in GIP . I had Idli Chaat and Masala Dosa. They even serve few North Indian Dishes as well. Quick Customer Service and Fresh Food!!

Located in top floor GIP mall. This place is having simple ambience and seating. Food quality was good. Food was tasty. Prices are nominal and easy on pockets. My overall experience was satisfactory.
Rahul Bailwal
Its best place in gip under small budget. Ambience is ok ok . Overcrowded place there should be more seating available for guests.and even sometime staff member got confused among the visitor and deliver a person order to other person But i just love food. In food this place got 5/5. I have visited with my frnd tried tomoto rice which wass soo yummy and delicious. We also tried south indian food there that was also nicee.. The main thing about this restaurent its under budget not like others restaurent in gip. .... Keep it guys and u need add some more staff..Renu Mehra

We had lunch in vaango recently. Food quality and quantity is good. Filter coffee was not good. One more thing, they took a lot of time to deliver food. So we had to wait for long. And that's to for filter coffee. Other than, ok to have food. I may have in future also.
Rohit Kumar
we visited vango day before yesterday with my
office frends. My experience with vango was just
an average.not the best south Indian food that I
have had,it was not at all bad but just not
exceptional.

must try:- Masala dosa, utthapam & idli Sambhar

service need to be improved
Ambience is nice with good sitting space
Ode To Food Lords
On my recent visit here. The quality have been degraded a lot. Tired masala dosa combo. Masala dosa 2/5 was below average in taste. Sambar don't feel like we having sambar. And filter coffee 3.5/5 was the only saver for this.
Overall the quality needs to improve a lot. Not in this branch the taste changed. But also in other outlets of vango have food degraded.
Rohan Sen
Terrible sambar tasted like powder dissolved in water. There is no difference between regular and and ghee roast dosa, the dosa itself feels like plastic. The food court is full of flies, quite a turn off. The coffee was ok. Dont go here if you are looking for anything authentic, their tag line is a lie
Rakesh Miglani
Amazing Vada Pav and good dosa sambhar. Much better than their outlet at T3 domestic airport. The outlet at T3 sucks big time but this outlet is very good. Feedback is for the outlet at Garden Galeria mall in the GIP permises.
Bilal
I went to this place and ordered mini idli and dosa.It was a complete disaster and its expensive as compared to the quality of food served by you people.
Bani Garg
Really like the concept if this outlet. Texture and consistency of samber is worth to appreciate. Upma vada and idli goes really well according to the taste of delhi person😊
Aashi Singh
A very average place. I would say a tad bit expensive. Food is alright. The spicy mini idlis were too mini. The filter coffee was nice. The sambhar was okayish
Nirupam Bhattacharya
Clean, well lit, airy and spacious sitting area. Polite and courteous staff. Good food. What else you can ask for from a restaurant.

It's a pretty frequently visited place for us whenever we happen to be at GIP.

Vaango – the quintessential Tamil way of welcoming guests – meaning “come in”.

But before you enter, you see a welcoming mascot who almost pulls you in from the crowd with his lovely smile and colorful southy attire. He may be the most clicked mascot after Ronalds! And I am sure anyone who has visited this outlet would have never missed out clicking some pictures with him!

This South Indian joint has always given us quick-service South Indian dishes refreshingly served by prompt smiling staff. And mind you if you are not 100% satisfied with your meal they will replace it free of cost. With such a humble proposition, you can never go wrong in food business.
Vaango: Beautiful quotes on the walls that brightens your day

Vaango: Beautiful quotes on the walls that brightens your day

Devyani International Limited [DIL], which has a large footprint in the retail food and beverages business in the country, definitely knows how to drive in loyalty.

This time they have surprised us by offering delightful spread from Mumbai streets! Without any hesitation they have taken this step to refresh their menu of not only serving South Indian specials but also chatpata Vada Pao and Pav Bhaji. Spicy and delicious, these new additions are hot favorites for a quick snack. We had a good time savouring these dishes.

Also adding to the drink chart are some refreshing coolers like Tropical Tamarind, Mint Paradise and Chilled Filter Coffee to beat the heat this summers.

This time the team Planet Social was accompanied by a food connoisseur – Meena who inspite of being a Punjabi had spent many years down south and loves to have authentic South Indian food. I had been a regular at Vaango for quick ,south Indian food that was easy on the pocket too till the services started going downhill ( read waiters forgetting to deliver your food and delays in billing ,also my favourite soft Appams no more featuring on the menu ).

My favourites here have been the spicy mini idlis ,vegetable uttapam ,mysore masala dosa and Appam stew (unfortunately taken off the menu now ) and filter coffee ( not as strong as I like but still better than cappuccinos ).

I recently tried their Poori bhaji and it was passable , the poori were fluffy but the aloo bhaji lacked the punch .

The rest of the menu and sambhar have failed to impress me .

Inefficient staff, sad quality food and late service.... A total no no!!!! The staffs we unaware of the offers going on and charged us full price.

Must say a good place for authentic south indian.

Taste: 5/5
Tried Onion Rawa Masala Dosa- was crisp and cooked to perfection.
Sambhar was at very good temperature. Full of flavor and proper Tamil style sambhar.

Service: 3/5
This is a self service restaurant but when asked for chutney or sambhar they take lots of time. Also not sure why they charge service tax.

Ambience : 3.5/5
Price: 2.5/5
As per the ambience price is a bit higher but as per taste i wont mind paying that, hence rating 2.5/5

Good place for family and kids.
Located at TGIP, this outlet is always empty , even on weekends. That may be the because most of the people here order food for homedelivery instead of enjoying hot and crispy dosas at Vaango. Well talking about this particular outlet, food here is average with average sambhar and dosa. I like their filter coffee BUT its not that awesome. I visit this outlet on very very rare occasions with my family.

Staff is friendly and fast.

Foodeez Junction
Vaango is one of the good food outlets for dosas. I won't say South Indian as I haven't tried other cuisines except dosas.

The dosas are good, nice and crisp. Yesterday I had mysore masala dosa, it was tasty but the aloo masala filling was a bit disappointing. It was too much mashed, a bad example of aloo bharta. While in my previous visits the fillings were good. Sambhar was okay, the chutneys are yummy.

Ambience is good, a nice restaurant for family and friends. It's pretty clean. The staff is friendly.

Overall, I would say an okay experience.

I am crazy fan of South Indian food..But Vaango just broke my heart... We ordered medu vada which is one of my favs..But it was dry..thanda and what not..the red chutney and appam with ishtew were great..but the n again the most basic food Vada was tooooooo bad...I have been here many a times but I feel that now there service is just degrading..the ambience is good..not too crowded and the staff is courteous..
Suresh Arora
Visited this place hoping to have some nice authentic South Indian food but got really disappointed. I had one 'Perfect Meal Combo'. The Masala dosa was more of Plain dosa with just two spoons of Aaloo masala.
The Sambhar was absolutely bland.. Saltless..
Ravi Kesri was too sweet to handle.
The so called Tomato Rice was a portion which could leave even a six month old infant hungry & asking for more. For Rs. 360 (inclusive of tax), one can have a fuller meal at the food court of TGIP.
BIG IMPROVEMENT REQUIRED VAANGO, TGIP.
Flavorful Cuisines
Went there one time only. Nice place to have some south indian kind of stuff . Good food . Nice servings . Interior is also good . Great place to go out with friends if u wana have some south indian type of stuff . Liked their uttapam and dosa . Nice plating , I really like the way they serve food .

I was just looking for some good place to eat and i was in the mood of having south Indian food so this place came up and i gave it a shot because its theme was totally south Indian with an anna as their mascot.

I tried their mini idli, Mysore masala dosa and cheese dosa i was delighted that i tried this outlet

Mini-idli:
If you want to have some idli's and want to fill your tummy go for it because the size of these mini idli's was really small and cute and quantity was really good and the best part is their sambhar it was damn good.

Mysore masala dosa:
Must try for everyone if you like a bit tangy flavor because and the garlic paste spread inside this dosa was really awesome and masala was really fresh and then comes again the best thing their sambhar.

Cheese dosa:
It was ordered by my friend it was good too but i don't like the fusion of Chinese and south Indian food like mixing cheese with dosa i don't like this combo , but yeah it was filled with grated cheese inside and topped with grated cheese again

This outlet was good in terms of cleanliness and their was quick too, staff was really nice.
Govind Soni
Worst food chain i have ever been to. Takes forever to get the order . Had to wait 25-30 minutes for one chola-kulcha . The kulcha was half baked and the chola was bland . No taste at all .
Not recommended at all .
Better to eat somewhere else .

Vango serves South Indian as its main cuisine but also has certain North indian crossovers like Puri platter etc.

The place does not have a typical south Indian eatery look. The food is just ok. Combo meals offered by them allow variety and economy at the same time.

The place is not appealing due to few flaws. Its self service and the cleanliness takes a hampering due to this. I observed that staff was not cleaning properly and every time a new guest arrived, they were calling staff for further cleaning. Their utensils are melamine - but not high grade - a big thumbs down. Typically Indian cuisines (due to their spicy, oil rich flavours) require extensive cleaning of utensils before they become clean. Hence, you would usually find steel utensils at south indian joints especially.

Even if they are self service, they could understand the need of guests for extra-helpings of sambher, chutneys - that go with their cuisine and arrange for someone to deliver at the table. But they haven't thought of such a thing.

Overall, they are doing good at business but miserable at hospitality.

So it was almost noon and we were headed towards the gip food court. To our surprise we couldn't see any decent outlet which was open yet. We saw vaango and then we came to know why was all the crowd up there. It was my first time at vaango. We ordered two masala dosas and our order came in no time. Their service is pretty fast. Coming to the staff, yes they are friendly and one thing i liked the most was that the place was really clean. Our food tasted good. It wasn't bad but i have had better south indian. We were satisfied from our hit and try and vaango did really come to our rescue when we were not able to find any good food.

Its a nice place to have south-indian food. Its lot better than other south-indian outlets present in the MALL. The outlet is quite pricy compare to other food joints but taste is good! I have been multiple times to the outlet at different locations and all taste nice -:) Once I had a chance to have their awesome combos so those were quite economical!! Do try it out!

This is one of the good south Indian restaurant in Noida. I found it better then Sagar Ratna for some dishes especially Rawa Idli and Uttapam. But the space and service is quite good comparing to other restaurants in GIP which are usually small.

Ohkay I was starving and wanted to have something southindian... we landed here at vaango... and here is the rating for dishes I ordered...
vada Pav - 8/10
Spicy mini idli - 7/10
Rawa kesari - 7/10
Phirni - 6/10
Food: Good but not great. We have so many better options.

Service: Okay.

Ambience/Seating: Outlet is airy. Not small. Adequate lighting.

Value for money: Yea maybe.

Go for: Dosas idlis vadas.

Verdict: Okay place to have South Indian food if you are not going to Shree Rathnam.

Good thing: Food is okay.

Bad thing: Better options are available.

Go or pass: Go.

Average south Indian food. Nothing special. Plus there is no service. Sambhar doesn't taste that good. Dosas are ok. But if you aṛe in GIP and want to eat south Indian food I wud prefer Shree rathnam then.

We had visited this restaurant when it had initially opened in sector-18. It was our first visit to the outlet in G.I.P and disappointing would not begin to describe it. Let's start with the good points because they are few.
1. Their beverages were good. We ordered lemon ice tea and buttermilk which were both very tasty and fresh!
2. Their service was good.
Now for the not-so-good points:
1. We ordered appam and ishtew(as written in their menu). The batter of the appam was sweet and the appam itself was quite thick and brown when it should have been thin and white. The stew had an overload of turmeric which overshadowed the taste of coconut milk.
2. The Mysore masala dosa was just blah in its taste, or rather lack of it.
3. The masala dosa was also the same.

Overall, my rating for the restaurant and outlet says it all. Don't think my family or I are ever going back to this outlet or any other outlet of this restaurant.

This is NOT the place to go to if you are craving for South Indian food. It is a QSR that serves decent dosas and uthappams. Nothing special. The appam was good though. But if you are at GIP and want to eat South Indian food, this is better than the food court, especially the sambar. You will end up spending 150-250 for a dosa and a drink.
Ambience: 1.5/5
Service & Staff: 3/5
Food: 2.5/5
Value for Money: 2.5/5
Bascially, avoid.

Visited this place in the search for good South Indian food and what do I say, my search for a place serving good South Indian food is still on.
Ambiance : 3.0
Food : 1.0
Service : 3.0
Menu : 3.0

Ambiance : The ambiance of this place was similar or rather what you would expect the ambiance of a food outlet to be which is situated inside a mall.
Food : The food was horribly bad. When one orders Spicy Idli one doesn't expect to get idlis' covered in raw red chili powder (like literally).
Service : Not eager to serve the order and not cordial.
Menu : Limited ! Overpriced !

Highly dissatisfied ! Never going back to this place. I can very proudly say that those 700 bucks are the perfect example of money down the drain.
Aditya Sundaray
Waste of money. I highly suggest the management to either change the prices or make the food worth it. Very bad experience the food was stale, the service wasn't good and asking 150 bucks for a idli and a vada is insane. You need to know that today the majority of people who visit a mall like the great India place are from middle class family. And the maximum amount to make a vada and an idli is Rs.4. You understand how much you are trying to rip off the food enthusiasts.

They proudly portray being an authentic south indian place. They do not even come close to it. After having a Pathatic experience at an adjoining place, I entered Vaango which seemed like a safe bet. We ordered Vada and Veg Biryani with Rayta along with usual softdrinks.

Let me start with Veg Biryani. Yellow rice mixed with dry and partailly burnt vegetables. The quality of rice was below average, except a hint of Biryani masala there was nothing special. Rayta.. well i make better rayat at home.

It brings me to the Vada. Size was average. It was excessively deep fried but it seemed crispy. First bite was encouraging, however when i tried to break another piece, I could see the uncooked batter which came out in liquid form. And that was it for me. I simply could not take another bite of anything else.
I showed it to their staff who apologised for the condition of the food and offered to change it. After this they served me one vada in a plate without any Sambhar or coconut chutynee. I requested them to atleast give my previous plate back as i was no more interested in the Vada, but i guess they forgot about it altogether. Anyway for the sake of it i made pieces of Vada to check its condition and to my surprise they indeed improved the second time and atleast managed to turn all the batter into solid. The Vada was still tasteless and non-edible. I left it on my plate with a promise to never go to this place untill I am dying from starvation.
P.S.- 0.5 is for the warm and encouraging sitting arrangement.
Harshita Sabharwal
A south indian place which doesn't get their sambhar right is too big a point of concern and raises a question on the overall aunthenticity of the food they serve.

Need i say more?

A simple sambhar rice was a disappointment. An accompanied rice papad also was an equal disappointment.

Cooking food is both an art and science and there are certain scientific rules that are the basics in order to take it towards art. And frying a papad in cold oil is the first no to the scientific basics in science of cooking...

Have visited this place a few times and their south Indian dishes are delicious. The service is quick and the place is mostly peaceful. Do try their onion uthpam and filter coffee.
If you wish to enjoy the authentic South Indian food at pocket friendly prices... Vaango! Is the place to be. Monday to Thursdays it has a happy meal hours from 4 to 7 pm, when you get a 1 + 1 meal. This offer is not valid on beverages and combos.
We had Masala dosa - crisp and yum, onion Uttapam and mini idlis with ghee ( This one is a must try ). We literally licked the sambar and chutneys. Everything was upto the mark and the happy hour deal was icing on the cake. 4 ♡♡♡♡ hearts to Vaango!

#Past Experience #TGIP_Mall,Noida

Located at the top floor of TGIP Mall, this South Indian Restaurant, seems to us 'An Alternative to the Sagar Ratna' BUT IT'S NOTHING LIKE THAT...

Being fair, We visited this place because we had a deal which we wanna redeem and also, wanna try something new...
Ambiance is, no doubt, good enough for a place like this, a cartoon character fixed at the entrance, bright lightening and fine seating arrangement... Service had some issues here, took a lot of time to make the food, even when our order comprises of mainly dosas only...

Quality is fine to me, neither good nor too bad..Tried Onion rava masala dosa, butter masala dosa & plain dosa, crust was crispy, but chutney served was too bland... On the other hand, idlis were good...

At this price, you can get better quality and service elsewhere, But still being at GIP, not a bad option to try for South Indian Meal...

Just now had dinner here. The food was awesome and the service was excellent and very fast. The signature masala dosa and the filter coffee was very super duper.

Sawan Chalise - very well said ------- Never go - Vangooooooo !

I have never seen such a thin dosa. Tissue is thick infront of the dosa they serve.
Sambhar is as good as water , completely bland.

Chutney has no taste at all.
Its quiet unhygienic as I saw lot of dirt and stains on the counter. Dunno how well have they maintained the kitchen inside. Will not pay another visit here.

Nothing I can appreciate about this joint.
Sawan Chalise
Vaango! - Never Go....

Vangoo! Easily makes it to the list of the worst dining experiences ever. Sample this. An eatery that cares less to provide water on the tables that have been occupied by the guests. A place where customers are neglected so bad that service becomes a luxury if at all you are attended to.

Vaango! Is situated at the 3rd floor of the Great India Place and is in line with many other eateries. After my initial terrible incident at this place, I braved all odds to give it another try, hoping something better to come of it. But the place once again ended up disappointing me. The staff does no attend to you and you might stand at the eatery and walk out, but they will not be bothered to care.

The food is pretty bad with vada chaat being fine. The place provides the worst Dosas ever and it brings back my days at the hostel when I actually hated Dosas. This place is definitely an insult to the south Indian cuisines. Buttermilk is another terrible spoiler and should be avoided.

Vaango! is large enough but its cheap prices does ensure fine crowd during weekends. Their pocket friendly price is precisely the reason it has the kind of customers it has. When it comes to service, they are plane zero. They do not even clear the tables until the guests are forced to take the tables with dirty plates and stuff lying on them. SAD.

Food - 1.5/5

Ambience - 2.5/5

Service - 1/5

Value for money - 3/5

Overall - 2/5 ( If not for their pocket friendly rates, this place would definitely be shut by now).

Cost for two - 450

Note : The only good thing about Vaango! Is the mascot that stands outside the eatery. Avoid if you enjoy good dining experience. But if you are looking for cheap food and care less for taste and service, then do enter.

Pathetic service. Pathetic paav bhaji and pulao. Total Waste of money and time. Really disappointed with @tgip vaango! Although other places are good.
Arjun Sreekumar
Located on the food floor of TGIP, Vaango s a popular south Indian joint here. The food is decent. Rasam and the dosas are pretty good. They also have the Malabar parathas, which is offered as a meal. Service is prompt. But again it's the usual, nothing extraordinary. They need to innovate and come out with different dishes. Worth a visit after a day of shopping.

If you love nice authentic South Indian food, then Vaango is the right place for you. Ambiance is casual but food is quite tasty and totally worth it. It's not an expensive place, so you get good quality and delicious food without spending much. Also, it's quite an ideal place for family outings.
I had tried quite a few things but Spicy Mini Idlis were the best. Definitely one should try it !!
Jugal Purohit
We ate at the outlet in Great India Place Noida. While the Dosa was quite good, found idlis, medu vadas and upma to be stale. They simply re-heat or deep fry. Beats me why can't they be freshly prepared. Disappointed.
Arpita
Pretty ordinary. Good food and quick service. But the taste is normal and there is no novelty about it except having normal prices. One can skip
Latika Ogra
Two of us went to this place during happie hrs which can not be taken as Happy .. Orderded spicy idlis & Paav bhaji - spicy idli was just a normal idli with garlic powder on top of it( from which angle it got name of spicy idli) & Paav bhaji had saddest ,almost 1-2 days old which turned into powder so we exchanged it with kulcha (though kulcha was again of sick taste ) ,service was able to earn 2 points bz they changed our dish with out any argument .

Good place to eat South Indian. All dishes are tasty. Ambience is OK. Staff is friendly and remembers who ordered what....the cashier and delivery guys are different but they have great coordination. After ordering and paying at the cashier, I was wondering how and who will bring my order when i was asked to take my place. I got what I ordered in good time. Just to tell first place the order, pay for it and the order will be delivered on your table.

Very nice place to eat south indian food in GIP. I always go there and eat DOSA. the overall ambience is also nice; and it is not so costly. The ambience is very descent, filled up with families most of the time. Good meal combo at an average price.
One time go for all the new people

We went to this place on my father's birthday. My father ordered a 'Parotta combo meal' and two of us ordered malabar parotta and Khurma. One order of 'Poori Meal Combo' and Uthappam. The Khurma was very sour. The tomato rice in the 'Parotta combo meal' was spoiled, this we came to know after my dad tasted it. We called the waiter and asked asked him to take it back. The management was duly apologetic and offered to get upma in lieu. The 'Poori combo' meal had no potato in the bhaji. We had to ask the waiter to get the missing potatoes. The uthappam was okay.
We didn't have a good dining experience here and definitely we would say 'Poongo!' to their 'Vaango!'
