We visited Shinkows in the late afternoon but the place was so crowded that we had a wait of around 20 minutes just to get in. There was a host at the door to the restaurant who seemed to be ignoring non-Tamil speakers.

This is an old Chinese restaurant and offers decent food. It definitely deserves a visit if you are a Chinese food lover. While you may not find the food outstanding, the overall ambience and mood of the restaurant is very appealing
We visited this place for a dinner.. it’s a second season.. so, not that much crowded.. definitely not a fine dine experience.. a pure authentic Chinese Restaurant vibe you’ll get for sure.. we’ve ordered chicken fry, egg fried rice, sweet and sour soup, chicken spring roll.. you can’t expect spicy
Best place for Chinese items. Many varieties of Chinese food. Tasty and delicious. Good atmosphere. They open in the Evening (7pm). Nice ambience. Lot of seats too.Their pork items are super. Soup items are not tasy(Personal opinion).
A traditional Chinese restaurant, run by a Chinese family for 75 years, offers authentic cuisine and you can enjoy the food.. Please do not except more
Great Chinese authenticated food. Do not expect the Indian version of Chinese food with lot of sauce. It's located in the city center. Usually a quiet place. The service staffs are very gentle and friendly. Rate is decent. The only issues is that we had hard time to find a parking space.
This is our signature family restaurant for all special occasions, the best Chinese restaurant in Ooty, the ambience is too good and the foods are very much authentic Chinese... If you love Chinese food, then it is a must visit place.

I had visited this place and I would say it's pretty great you have to read its history.
This is an authentic Chinese place owned by a Chinese couple who are born in India , when you have you might find it bland that is lack of Indian spices but that's what a Chinese food is right ?
I would recom
Food was good. Quantity is perfect for two people. Veg manchurian dry is literally pakodas don’t expect balls but worth trying. It was crispy and delicious. Fried rice was smoky & flavourful. Washroom I available. Service is ok.
It's historically a good place to visit, as for the food, it's become a bit indianised for the majority footfall palette, wouldn't call it authentic Chinese anymore. But the food is nevertheless delicious and portions are decent. Pricing may be on the higher side for people.
